A vulnerability in the scheduled meeting template feature of Cisco Webex Meetings could allow an authenticated, remote attacker to create a scheduled meeting template that would belong to another user in their organization. The vulnerability is due to insufficient authorization enforcement for the creation of scheduled meeting templates. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability by sending a crafted request to the Webex Meetings interface to create a scheduled meeting template. A successful exploit could allow the attacker to create a scheduled meeting template that would belong to a user other than themselves.

File Browser is a file managing interface for uploading, deleting, previewing, renaming, and editing files within a specified directory. Versions 2.61.2 and below are vulnerable to Path Traversal through the resourcePatchHandler (http/resource.go). The destination path in resourcePatchHandler is validated against access rules before being cleaned/normalized, while the actual file operation calls path.Clean() afterward—resolving .. sequences into a different effective path. This allows an authenticated user with Create or Rename permissions to bypass administrator-configured deny rules (both prefix-based and regex-based) by injecting .. sequences in the destination parameter of a PATCH request. As a result, the user can write or move files into any deny-rule-protected path within their scope. However, this cannot be used to escape the user's BasePathFs scope or read from restricted paths. This issue has been fixed in version 2.62.0.
ClipBucket v5 is an open source video sharing platform. Prior to version 5.5.3 #59, collection item operations are vulnerable to authorization flaws, allowing a normal authenticated user to modify another user’s collection items. This affects both add item (/actions/add_to_collection.php) due to missing authorization checks and delete item (/manage_collections.php?mode=manage_items...) due to a broken ownership check in removeItemFromCollection(). As a result, attackers can insert and remove items from collections they do not own. Version 5.5.3 #59 fixes the issue.
OpenProject is an open-source, web-based project management software. Prior to 17.2.0, when budgets are deleted, the work packages that were assigned to this budget need to be moved to a different budget. This action was performed before the permission check on the delete action was executed. This allowed all users in the application to delete work package budget assignments. This vulnerability is fixed in 17.2.0.
Netmaker makes networks with WireGuard. Prior to version 1.5.0, the user update handler (PUT /api/users/{username}) lacks validation to prevent an admin-role user from assigning the super-admin role during account updates. While the code correctly blocks an admin from assigning the admin role to another user, it does not include an equivalent check for the super-admin role. This issue has been patched in version 1.5.0.
A missing permission check in Jenkins Mac Plugin 1.1.0 and earlier allows attackers with Overall/Read permission to connect to an attacker-specified SSH server using attacker-specified credentials.
OpenClaw is a personal AI assistant. Prior to version 2026.2.14, under iMessage `groupPolicy=allowlist`, group authorization could be satisfied by sender identities coming from the DM pairing store, broadening DM trust into group contexts. Version 2026.2.14 fixes the issue.
WeKan versions prior to 8.19 contain an authorization vulnerability where certain card update API paths validate only board read access rather than requiring write permission. This can allow users with read-only roles to perform card updates that should require write access.
Gogs is an open source self-hosted Git service. In version 0.13.3 and prior, the endpoint "PUT /repos/:owner/:repo/contents/*" does not require write permissions and allows access with read permission only via repoAssignment(). After passing the permission check, PutContents() invokes UpdateRepoFile(), which results in commit creation and the execution of git push. As a result, a token with read-only permission can be used to modify repository contents. This issue has been patched in versions 0.13.4 and 0.14.0+dev.
An Improper Input Validation vulnerability exists in Apache Superset that allows an authenticated user with SQLLab access to bypass the read-only verification check when using a PostgreSQL database connection. While the system effectively blocks standard Data Manipulation Language (DML) statements (e.g., INSERT, UPDATE, DELETE) on read-only connections, it fails to detect them in specially crafted SQL statements. This issue affects Apache Superset: before 6.0.0. Users are recommended to upgrade to version 6.0.0, which fixes the issue.
In the Channelmgnt plug-in for Sopel (a Python IRC bot) before version 1.0.3, malicious users are able to op/voice and take over a channel. This is an ACL bypass vulnerability. This plugin is bundled with MirahezeBot-Plugins with versions from 9.0.0 and less than 9.0.2 affected. Version 9.0.2 includes 1.0.3 of channelmgnt, and thus is safe from this vulnerability. See referenced GHSA-23pc-4339-95vg.
An incorrect authorization vulnerability was identified in GitHub Enterprise Server that allowed an attacker to merge their own pull request into a repository without having push access by exploiting an authorization bypass in the enable_auto_merge mutation for pull requests. This issue only affected repositories that allow forking as the attack relies on opening a pull request from an attacker-controlled fork into the target repository. Exploitation was only possible in specific scenarios. It required a clean pull request status and only applied to branches without branch protection rules enabled. This vulnerability affected GitHub Enterprise Server versions prior to 3.19.2, 3.18.5, and 3.17.11, and was fixed in versions 3.19.2, 3.18.5, and 3.17.11. This vulnerability was reported via the GitHub Bug Bounty program.
A weakness has been identified in nextlevelbuilder GoClaw up to 3.11.3. The impacted element is the function TeamTasksTool.executeComplete of the file internal/tools/team_tasks_lifecycle.go of the component Team Task Completion Handler. Executing a manipulation can lead to missing authorization. The attack may be launched remotely. The exploit has been made available to the public and could be used for attacks. The project tagged the reported issue as bug.
A logic error in the MISP CRUD component delete handler allowed validation failures to be bypassed when requests used the HTTP DELETE method. Due to missing parentheses in the delete condition, the expression was evaluated as ($validationError === null && POST) || DELETE, meaning a DELETE request could proceed even when the delete validation callback had rejected the operation. An authenticated attacker with access to an affected delete endpoint could abuse this flaw to delete records that should have been protected by application-level validation or authorization checks.
In "I hate money" before version 4.1.5, an authenticated member of one project can modify and delete members of another project, without knowledge of this other project's private code. This can be further exploited to access all bills of another project without knowledge of this other project's private code. With the default configuration, anybody is allowed to create a new project. An attacker can create a new project and then use it to become authenticated and exploit this flaw. As such, the exposure is similar to an unauthenticated attack, because it is trivial to become authenticated. This is fixed in version 4.1.5.
A vulnerability was found in Xinhu RockOA up to 2.6.9. Impacted is the function publicsaveAjax of the file /index.php. Performing manipulation results in improper authorization. The attack is possible to be carried out remotely. The exploit has been made public and could be used.
An improper authorization vulnerability exists in Jenkins Promoted Builds Plugin 2.31.1 and earlier in Status.java and ManualCondition.java that allow an attacker with read access to jobs to perform promotions.
A vulnerability, which was classified as problematic, was found in linlinjava litemall 1.8.0. Affected is an unknown function of the file /wx/comment/post. The manipulation of the argument adminComment leads to improper authorization. It is possible to launch the attack remotely. The exploit has been disclosed to the public and may be used. The vendor was contacted early about this disclosure but did not respond in any way.
Juju is an open source application orchestration engine that enables any application operation on any infrastructure at any scale through special operators called ‘charms’. From versions 2.9 to before 2.9.56 and 3.6 to before 3.6.19, any authenticated user, machine or controller under a Juju controller can modify the resources of an application within the entire controller. This issue has been patched in versions 2.9.56 and 3.6.19.
Frappe Learning Management System (LMS) is a learning system that helps users structure their content. Prior to 2.41.0, a flaw in the server-side authorization logic allowed authenticated users to perform actions beyond their assigned roles across multiple features. Because the affected endpoints relied on client-side or UI-level checks instead of enforcing permissions on the server, users with low-privileged roles (such as students) could perform operations intended only for instructors or administrators via directly using the API's. This vulnerability is fixed in 2.41.0.
A logic error in valid_role() in CloudForms role validation before 5.7.1.3 could allow a tenant administrator to create groups with a higher privilege level than the tenant administrator should have. This would allow an attacker with tenant administration access to elevate privileges.
Incorrect Authorization vulnerability in Bit Apps Bit Form Pro bitformpro allows Accessing Functionality Not Properly Constrained by ACLs.This issue affects Bit Form Pro: from n/a through 2.6.4.
Adobe Commerce versions 2.4.9-alpha2, 2.4.8-p2, 2.4.7-p7, 2.4.6-p12, 2.4.5-p14, 2.4.4-p15 and earlier are affected by an Incorrect Authorization vulnerability. A low-privileged attacker could leverage this vulnerability to bypass security measures and gain unauthorized access to elevated privileges that increase integrity impact to high. Exploitation of this issue does not require user interaction.
GitProxy is an application that stands between developers and a Git remote endpoint (e.g., github.com). Versions 1.19.1 and below allow users to push to remote repositories while bypassing policies and explicit approvals. Since checks and plugins are skipped, code containing secrets or unwanted changes could be pushed into a repository. This is fixed in version 1.19.2.
Adobe Experience Manager versions 6.5.23.0 and earlier are affected by an Incorrect Authorization vulnerability that could result in a Security feature bypass. A low-privileged attacker could leverage this vulnerability to bypass security measures and gain unauthorized write access.
Navidrome is an open source web-based music collection server and streamer. A permission verification flaw in versions prior to 0.56.0 allows any authenticated regular user to bypass authorization checks and perform administrator-only transcoding configuration operations, including creating, modifying, and deleting transcoding settings. In the threat model where administrators are trusted but regular users are not, this vulnerability represents a significant security risk when transcoding is enabled. Version 0.56.0 patches the issue.
Incorrect authorization vulnerability in TCMAN's GIM v11. This vulnerability allows an unprivileged attacker to modify the permissions held by each of the application's users, including the user himself by sending a POST request to /PC/Options.aspx?Command=2&Page=-1.

The "Load Rollback" functionality in the web interface of affected products contains an incorrect authorization check vulnerability. This could allow an authenticated remote attacker with "guest" role to make the affected product roll back configuration changes made by privileged users.
Nagios Log Server versions prior to 2024R2.0.3 contain an incorrect authorization vulnerability that allows non-administrator users to delete global dashboards. The application did not correctly enforce authorization checks for the global dashboard deletion workflow, enabling lower-privileged users to remove dashboards that affect other users or the overall monitoring UI.
An issue was discovered in GitLab Community and Enterprise Edition 11.9 and later through 12.0.2. GitLab Snippets were vulnerable to an authorization issue that allowed unauthorized users to add comments to a private snippet. It allows authentication bypass.
In JetBrains TeamCity before 2024.03 authenticated users without administrative permissions could register other users when self-registration was disabled
In JetBrains YouTrack before 2024.1.25893 user without appropriate permissions could restore issues and articles
To provide fine-grained controls over the ability to use Dynamic DNS (DDNS) to update records in a zone, BIND 9 provides a feature called update-policy. Various rules can be configured to limit the types of updates that can be performed by a client, depending on the key used when sending the update request. Unfortunately, some rule types were not initially documented, and when documentation for them was added to the Administrator Reference Manual (ARM) in change #3112, the language that was added to the ARM at that time incorrectly described the behavior of two rule types, krb5-subdomain and ms-subdomain. This incorrect documentation could mislead operators into believing that policies they had configured were more restrictive than they actually were. This affects BIND versions prior to BIND 9.11.5 and BIND 9.12.3.
Mattermost fails to properly validate the requesting user permissions when updating a system admin, allowing a user manager to update a system admin's details such as email, first name and last name.
Frappe is a full-stack web application framework. Prior to versions 14.66.3 and 15.16.0, file permission can be bypassed using certain endpoints, granting less privileged users permission to delete or clone a file. Versions 14.66.3 and 15.16.0 contain a patch for this issue. No known workarounds are available.
In Sherpa Orchestrator 141851, a low-privileged user can elevate their privileges by creating new users and roles.

In Splunk Enterprise versions below 9.0.8 and 9.1.3, Splunk app key value store (KV Store) improperly handles permissions for users that use the REST application programming interface (API). This can potentially result in the deletion of KV Store collections.
An incorrect authorization vulnerability has been reported to affect several QNAP operating system versions. If exploited, the vulnerability could allow authenticated users to bypass intended access restrictions via a network. QTS 5.x, QuTS hero are not affected. We have already fixed the vulnerability in the following versions: QuTScloud c5.1.5.2651 and later QTS 4.5.4.2627 build 20231225 and later
In Nagios XI through 5.8.5, a read-only Nagios user (due to an incorrect permission check) is able to schedule downtime for any host/services. This allows an attacker to permanently disable all monitoring checks.
A Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) bypass vulnerability in "Simple 2FA Plugin for Moodle" by LMS Doctor allows remote attackers to overwrite the phone number used for confirmation via the profile.php file. Therefore, allowing them to bypass the phone verification mechanism.
An improper authorization vulnerability exists in Jenkins Job and Node Ownership Plugin 0.11.0 and earlier in OwnershipDescription.java, JobOwnerJobProperty.java, and OwnerNodeProperty.java that allow an attacker with Job/Configure or Computer/Configure permission and without Ownership related permissions to override ownership metadata.
BigTree CMS through 4.2.18 does not prevent a user from deleting their own account. This could have security relevance because deletion was supposed to be an admin-only action, and the admin may have other tasks (such as data backups) to complete before a user is deleted.
A vulnerability in the web-based management interface of Cisco ISE could allow an authenticated, remote attacker to bypass the authorization mechanisms for specific administrative functions. This vulnerability is due to a lack of server-side validation of Administrator permissions. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability by submitting a crafted HTTP request to an affected system. A successful exploit could allow the attacker to conduct administrative functions beyond their intended access level. To exploit this vulnerability, an attacker would need Read-Only Administrator credentials.
A vulnerability in the web-based management interface of Cisco Secure Firewall Management Center (FMC) Software, formerly Firepower Management Center Software, could allow an authenticated, remote attacker to elevate privileges on an affected device. To exploit this vulnerability, an attacker must have a valid account on the device that is configured with a custom read-only role. This vulnerability is due to insufficient validation of role permissions in part of the web-based management interface. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability by performing a write operation on the affected part of the web-based management interface. A successful exploit could allow the attacker to modify certain parts of the configuration.
An incorrect authorization vulnerability was identified in GitHub Enterprise Server that allowed an attacker to create new branches in public repositories and run arbitrary GitHub Actions workflows with permissions from the GITHUB_TOKEN. To exploit this vulnerability, an attacker would need access to the Enterprise Server. This vulnerability affected all versions of GitHub Enterprise Server after 3.8 and prior to 3.12, and was fixed in versions 3.9.10, 3.10.7, 3.11.5. This vulnerability was reported via the GitHub Bug Bounty program.
