IBM Financial Transaction Manager for SWIFT Services for Multiplatforms 3.2.4 could allow an authenticated user to lock additional RM authorizations, resulting in a denial of service on displaying or managing these authorizations. IBM X-Force ID: 240034.
The FC SCSI protocol driver in IBM AIX 6.1 does not verify that a timer is unused before deallocating this timer, which might allow attackers to cause a denial of service (system crash) via unspecified vectors.
IBM AIX 7.1, 7.2, and VIOS 3.1 could allow a local user to exploit a vulnerability in the AIX kernel to cause a denial of service. IBM X-Force ID: 201106.
IBM PowerVM Hypervisor FW860, FW930, FW940, and FW950 could allow a local user to create a specially crafted sequence of hypervisor calls from a partition that could crash the system. IBM X-Force ID: 203557.
IBM EntireX 11.1 could allow a local user to cause a denial of service due to an unhandled error and fault isolation.
IBM MQ 9.3 LTS, 9.3 CD, 9.4 LTS, and 9.4 CD could allow a local user to cause a denial of service due to an improper check for unusual or exceptional conditions.
IBM AIX 7.2, 7.3, VIOS 3.1, and 4.1 could allow a non-privileged local user to exploit a vulnerability in the TCP/IP kernel extension to cause a denial of service.
IBM SmartCloud Analytics - Log Analysis 1.3.7.0, 1.3.7.1, 1.3.7.2, 1.3.8.0, 1.3.8.1, and 1.3.8.2 could allow a local user to cause a denial of service due to improper validation of specified type of input.
The mmfslinux kernel module in IBM General Parallel File System (GPFS) 3.4 before 3.4.0.32, 3.5 before 3.5.0.24, and 4.1 before 4.1.0.7 allows local users to cause a denial of service (memory corruption) via unspecified character-device ioctl calls.
InfoSphere Guardium aix_ktap module: DoS
IBM MQ 9.3 CD and 9.4 LTS/CD could allow a local user to cause a denial of service due to improper memory allocation causing a segmentation fault.
IBM EntireX 11.1 could allow a local user to cause a denial of service due to use of a regular expression with an inefficient complexity that consumes excessive CPU cycles.
IBM AIX 7.2, 7.3, VIOS 3.1, and 4.1 could allow a non-privileged local user to exploit a vulnerability in the AIX perfstat kernel extension to cause a denial of service.
IBM Spectrum Protect Plus 10.1.0 through 10.1.8 could allow a local user to cause a denial of service due to insecure file permission settings. IBM X-Force ID: 197791.
KVM in the Linux kernel on Power8 processors has a conflicting use of HSTATE_HOST_R1 to store r1 state in kvmppc_hv_entry plus in kvmppc_{save,restore}_tm, leading to a stack corruption. Because of this, an attacker with the ability run code in kernel space of a guest VM can cause the host kernel to panic. There were two commits that, according to the reporter, introduced the vulnerability: f024ee098476 ("KVM: PPC: Book3S HV: Pull out TM state save/restore into separate procedures") 87a11bb6a7f7 ("KVM: PPC: Book3S HV: Work around XER[SO] bug in fake suspend mode") The former landed in 4.8, the latter in 4.17. This was fixed without realizing the impact in 4.18 with the following three commits, though it's believed the first is the only strictly necessary commit: 6f597c6b63b6 ("KVM: PPC: Book3S PR: Add guest MSR parameter for kvmppc_save_tm()/kvmppc_restore_tm()") 7b0e827c6970 ("KVM: PPC: Book3S HV: Factor fake-suspend handling out of kvmppc_save/restore_tm") 009c872a8bc4 ("KVM: PPC: Book3S PR: Move kvmppc_save_tm/kvmppc_restore_tm to separate file")
