In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: media: dvb-net: fix OOB access in ULE extension header tables The ule_mandatory_ext_handlers[] and ule_optional_ext_handlers[] tables in handle_one_ule_extension() are declared with 255 elements (valid indices 0-254), but the index htype is derived from network-controlled data as (ule_sndu_type & 0x00FF), giving a range of 0-255. When htype equals 255, an out-of-bounds read occurs on the function pointer table, and the OOB value may be called as a function pointer. Add a bounds check on htype against the array size before either table is accessed. Out-of-range values now cause the SNDU to be discarded.

ksmbd: ipc: fix use-after-free in ipc_msg_send_request

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ksmbd: ipc: fix use-after-free in ipc_msg_send_request ipc_msg_send_request() waits for a generic netlink reply using an ipc_msg_table_entry on the stack. The generic netlink handler (handle_generic_event()/handle_response()) fills entry->response under ipc_msg_table_lock, but ipc_msg_send_request() used to validate and free entry->response without holding the same lock. Under high concurrency this allows a race where handle_response() is copying data into entry->response while ipc_msg_send_request() has just freed it, leading to a slab-use-after-free reported by KASAN in handle_generic_event(): BUG: KASAN: slab-use-after-free in handle_generic_event+0x3c4/0x5f0 [ksmbd] Write of size 12 at addr ffff888198ee6e20 by task pool/109349 ... Freed by task: kvfree ipc_msg_send_request [ksmbd] ksmbd_rpc_open -> ksmbd_session_rpc_open [ksmbd] Fix by: - Taking ipc_msg_table_lock in ipc_msg_send_request() while validating entry->response, freeing it when invalid, and removing the entry from ipc_msg_table. - Returning the final entry->response pointer to the caller only after the hash entry is removed under the lock. - Returning NULL in the error path, preserving the original API semantics. This makes all accesses to entry->response consistent with handle_response(), which already updates and fills the response buffer under ipc_msg_table_lock, and closes the race that allowed the UAF.

smb: client: validate dacloffset before building DACL pointers

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: smb: client: validate dacloffset before building DACL pointers parse_sec_desc(), build_sec_desc(), and the chown path in id_mode_to_cifs_acl() all add the server-supplied dacloffset to pntsd before proving a DACL header fits inside the returned security descriptor. On 32-bit builds a malicious server can return dacloffset near U32_MAX, wrap the derived DACL pointer below end_of_acl, and then slip past the later pointer-based bounds checks. build_sec_desc() and id_mode_to_cifs_acl() can then dereference DACL fields from the wrapped pointer in the chmod/chown rewrite paths. Validate dacloffset numerically before building any DACL pointer and reuse the same helper at the three DACL entry points.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: RDMA/rxe: Fix iova-to-va conversion for MR page sizes != PAGE_SIZE The current implementation incorrectly handles memory regions (MRs) with page sizes different from the system PAGE_SIZE. The core issue is that rxe_set_page() is called with mr->page_size step increments, but the page_list stores individual struct page pointers, each representing PAGE_SIZE of memory. ib_sg_to_page() has ensured that when i>=1 either a) SG[i-1].dma_end and SG[i].dma_addr are contiguous or b) SG[i-1].dma_end and SG[i].dma_addr are mr->page_size aligned. This leads to incorrect iova-to-va conversion in scenarios: 1) page_size < PAGE_SIZE (e.g., MR: 4K, system: 64K): ibmr->iova = 0x181800 sg[0]: dma_addr=0x181800, len=0x800 sg[1]: dma_addr=0x173000, len=0x1000 Access iova = 0x181800 + 0x810 = 0x182010 Expected VA: 0x173010 (second SG, offset 0x10) Before fix: - index = (0x182010 >> 12) - (0x181800 >> 12) = 1 - page_offset = 0x182010 & 0xFFF = 0x10 - xarray[1] stores system page base 0x170000 - Resulting VA: 0x170000 + 0x10 = 0x170010 (wrong) 2) page_size > PAGE_SIZE (e.g., MR: 64K, system: 4K): ibmr->iova = 0x18f800 sg[0]: dma_addr=0x18f800, len=0x800 sg[1]: dma_addr=0x170000, len=0x1000 Access iova = 0x18f800 + 0x810 = 0x190010 Expected VA: 0x170010 (second SG, offset 0x10) Before fix: - index = (0x190010 >> 16) - (0x18f800 >> 16) = 1 - page_offset = 0x190010 & 0xFFFF = 0x10 - xarray[1] stores system page for dma_addr 0x170000 - Resulting VA: system page of 0x170000 + 0x10 = 0x170010 (wrong) Yi Zhang reported a kernel panic[1] years ago related to this defect. In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ksmbd: fix signededness bug in smb_direct_prepare_negotiation() smb_direct_prepare_negotiation() casts an unsigned __u32 value from sp->max_recv_size and req->preferred_send_size to a signed int before computing min_t(int, ...). A maliciously provided preferred_send_size of 0x80000000 will return as smaller than max_recv_size, and then be used to set the maximum allowed alowed receive size for the next message. By sending a second message with a large value (>1420 bytes) the attacker can then achieve a heap buffer overflow. This fix replaces min_t(int, ...) with min_t(u32)

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: libceph: define and enforce CEPH_MAX_KEY_LEN When decoding the key, verify that the key material would fit into a fixed-size buffer in process_auth_done() and generally has a sane length. The new CEPH_MAX_KEY_LEN check replaces the existing check for a key with no key material which is a) not universal since CEPH_CRYPTO_NONE has to be excluded and b) doesn't provide much value since a smaller than needed key is just as invalid as no key -- this has to be handled elsewhere anyway.

nvmet-tcp: fix race between ICReq handling and queue teardown

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: nvmet-tcp: fix race between ICReq handling and queue teardown nvmet_tcp_handle_icreq() updates queue->state after sending an Initialization Connection Response (ICResp), but it does so without serializing against target-side queue teardown. If an NVMe/TCP host sends an Initialization Connection Request (ICReq) and immediately closes the connection, target-side teardown may start in softirq context before io_work drains the already buffered ICReq. In that case, nvmet_tcp_schedule_release_queue() sets queue->state to NVMET_TCP_Q_DISCONNECTING and drops the queue reference under state_lock. If io_work later processes that ICReq, nvmet_tcp_handle_icreq() can still overwrite the state back to NVMET_TCP_Q_LIVE. That defeats the DISCONNECTING-state guard in nvmet_tcp_schedule_release_queue() and allows a later socket state change to re-enter teardown and issue a second kref_put() on an already released queue. The ICResp send failure path has the same problem. If teardown has already moved the queue to DISCONNECTING, a send error can still overwrite the state with NVMET_TCP_Q_FAILED, again reopening the window for a second teardown path to drop the queue reference. net: ti: icssg-prueth: fix use-after-free of CPPI descriptor in RX path

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: ti: icssg-prueth: fix use-after-free of CPPI descriptor in RX path cppi5_hdesc_get_psdata() returns a pointer into the CPPI descriptor. In both emac_rx_packet() and emac_rx_packet_zc(), the descriptor is freed via k3_cppi_desc_pool_free() before the psdata pointer is used by emac_rx_timestamp(), which dereferences psdata[0] and psdata[1]. This constitutes a use-after-free on every received packet that goes through the timestamp path. Defer the descriptor free until after all accesses through the psdata pointer are complete. For emac_rx_packet(), move the free into the requeue label so both early-exit and success paths free the descriptor after all accesses are done. For emac_rx_packet_zc(), move the free to the end of the loop body after emac_dispatch_skb_zc() (which calls emac_rx_timestamp()) has returned.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: scsi: qla2xxx: Completely fix fcport double free In qla24xx_els_dcmd_iocb() sp->free is set to qla2x00_els_dcmd_sp_free(). When an error happens, this function is called by qla2x00_sp_release(), when kref_put() releases the first and the last reference. qla2x00_els_dcmd_sp_free() frees fcport by calling qla2x00_free_fcport(). Doing it one more time after kref_put() is a bad idea.
