NocoDB is software for building databases as spreadsheets. Prior to version 0.301.3, user-controlled content in comments and rich text cells was rendered via v-html without sanitization, enabling stored XSS. This issue has been patched in version 0.301.3.
NocoDB is software for building databases as spreadsheets. Prior to version 0.301.3, an authenticated user with Editor role can inject arbitrary HTML into Rich Text cells by bypassing the TipTap editor and sending raw HTML via the API. This issue has been patched in version 0.301.3.
Cross-site Scripting (XSS) - Stored in GitHub repository nocodb/nocodb prior to 0.91.7.
NocoDB is software for building databases as spreadsheets. Starting in verson 0.202.6 and prior to version 0.202.10, an attacker can upload a html file with malicious content. If user tries to open that file in browser malicious scripts can be executed leading stored cross-site scripting attack. This allows remote attacker to execute JavaScript code in the context of the user accessing the vector. An attacker could have used this vulnerability to execute requests in the name of a logged-in user or potentially collect information about the attacked user by displaying a malicious form. Version 0.202.10 contains a patch for the issue.
NocoDB is software for building databases as spreadsheets. Prior to version 0.301.3, a stored XSS vulnerability exists in the Formula virtual cell. Formula results containing URI::() patterns are rendered via v-html without sanitization, allowing injected HTML to execute. This issue has been patched in version 0.301.3.
NocoDB is software for building databases as spreadsheets. Prior to version 0.301.3, rich text cell content rendered via v-html without sanitization enables stored XSS. This issue has been patched in version 0.301.3.
NocoDB is software for building databases as spreadsheets. Prior to version 0.301.3, comments rendered via v-html without sanitization enable stored XSS. This issue has been patched in version 0.301.3.
NocoDB is software for building databases as spreadsheets. Prior to 0.202.9, a stored cross-site scripting vulnerability exists within the Formula virtual cell comments functionality. The nc-gui/components/virtual-cell/Formula.vue displays a v-html tag with the value of "urls" whose contents are processed by the function replaceUrlsWithLink(). This function recognizes the pattern URI::(XXX) and creates a hyperlink tag <a> with href=XXX. However, it leaves all the other contents outside of the pattern URI::(XXX) unchanged. This vulnerability is fixed in 0.202.9.
NocoDB is software for building databases as spreadsheets. Prior to 2026.05.1, with NC_SECURE_ATTACHMENTS=true, an authenticated uploader could deliver .html or .svg attachments that the browser rendered inline from the NocoDB origin instead of forcing a download. The signed attachment handler stored response-header overrides under PascalCase keys (ResponseContentDisposition, ResponseContentType) while the controller that served the file read them under lowercase-hyphen names (response-content-disposition). The mismatch dropped the Content-Disposition: attachment header, leaving Express to auto-render .html, .svg, and similar inline. This vulnerability is fixed in 2026.05.1.
NocoDB is software for building databases as spreadsheets. Prior to 2026.05.1, an authenticated commenter could store HTML in row comments that executed as script when other users hovered over the comment in the expanded form view. The comment write paths persisted the raw comment body with no server-side sanitisation; the expanded-form sidebar then rendered the stored body and fed its data-tooltip attribute to Tippy with allowHTML: true. Even when the editor stripped script tags at write time, attribute-level payloads re-entered the DOM as live HTML on hover. This vulnerability is fixed in 2026.05.1.
NocoDB is software for building databases as spreadsheets. Prior to 2026.04.1, the password-reset page rendered the URL token directly into a JavaScript string literal in a server-rendered EJS template. EJS <%= %> HTML-entity-encodes a fixed set of characters but does not escape single quotes or backslashes, so a crafted token could break out of the JS string context and execute attacker-controlled script in the NocoDB origin. Triggering required only that a victim follow a malicious password-reset link. This vulnerability is fixed in 2026.04.1.
NocoDB is software for building databases as spreadsheets. Prior to 2026.04.1, a reflected XSS vulnerability exists in the Page Leaving Warning page. The ncRedirectUrl and ncBackUrl query parameters are used in window.location.href and <a> tag bindings without validation, allowing javascript: URI injection. This vulnerability is fixed in 2026.04.1.
NocoDB is software for building databases as spreadsheets. Prior to 2026.05.1, the shared form-view submit handler (packages/nc-gui/composables/useSharedFormViewStore.ts) in NocoDB writes the form's redirect_url to window.location.href after a same-host check that does not validate the URL scheme. A user with editor role (or above) on any base can plant a javascript: URL in the form's redirect_url; when an authenticated viewer opens the share-link and submits the form, the payload executes in the NocoDB origin and can read the session token from localStorage["nocodb-gui-v2"]. This vulnerability is fixed in 2026.05.1.
NocoDB is software for building databases as spreadsheets. The API endpoint related to the password reset function is vulnerable to Reflected Cross-Site-Scripting. The endpoint /api/v1/db/auth/password/reset/:tokenId is vulnerable to Reflected Cross-Site-Scripting. The flaw occurs due to implementation of the client-side template engine ejs, specifically on file resetPassword.ts where the template is using the insecure function “<%-“, which is rendered by the function renderPasswordReset. This vulnerability is fixed in 0.258.0.
NocoDB is software for building databases as spreadsheets. Prior to version 0.301.0, a stored cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability exists in NocoDB’s attachment handling mechanism. Authenticated users can upload malicious SVG files containing embedded JavaScript, which are later rendered inline and executed in the browsers of other users who view the attachment. Because the malicious payload is stored server-side and executed under the application’s origin, successful exploitation can lead to account compromise, data exfiltration and unauthorized actions performed on behalf of affected users. Version 0.301.0 patches the issue.

An issue was discovered on Vera VeraEdge 1.7.19 and Veralite 1.7.481 devices. The device provides a shell script called relay.sh which is used for creating new SSH relays for the device so that the device connects to Vera servers. All the parameters passed in this specific script are logged to a log file called log.relay in the /tmp folder. The user can also read all the log files from the device using a script called log.sh. However, when the script loads the log files it displays them with content-type text/html and passes all the logs through the ansi2html binary which converts all the character text including HTML meta-characters correctly to be displayed in the browser. This allows an attacker to use the log files as a storing mechanism for the XSS payload and thus whenever a user navigates to that log.sh script, it enables the XSS payload and allows an attacker to execute his malicious payload on the user's browser.
jellyfin-web is the web client for Jellyfin, a free-software media system. Starting in version 10.1.0 and prior to version 10.8.10, a stored cross-site scripting vulnerability in device.js can be used to make arbitrary calls to the `REST` endpoints with admin privileges. When combined with CVE-2023-30626, this results in remote code execution on the Jellyfin instance in the context of the user who's running it. This issue is patched in version 10.8.10. There are no known workarounds.

Discourse is an open source platform for community discussion. Due to the improper sanitization of SVG files, an attacker can execute arbitrary JavaScript on the users’ browsers by uploading a crafted SVG file. This issue is patched in the latest stable and tests-passed versions of Discourse. Users are advised to upgrade. For users unable to upgrade there are two possible workarounds: enable CDN handing of uploads (and ensure the CDN sanitizes SVG files) or disable SVG file uploads by ensuring that the `authorized extensions` site setting does not include `svg` (or reset that setting to the default, by default Discourse doesn't enable SVG uploads by users).
