Incomplete blacklist vulnerability in the Configuration utility in F5 BIG-IP LTM, Analytics, APM, ASM, GTM, Link Controller, and PSM 11.x before 11.2.1 HF11, 11.3.x, 11.4.0 before HF8, and 11.4.1 before HF6; BIG-IP AAM 11.4.0 before HF8 and 11.4.1 before HF6; BIG-IP AFM and PEM 11.3.x, 11.4.0 before HF8, and 11.4.1 before HF6; and BIG-IP Edge Gateway, WebAccelerator, and WOM 11.x before 11.2.1 HF11 and 11.3.0 allows remote authenticated users to upload files via uploadImage.php.
On BIG-IP 14.0.0-14.1.0.1, 13.0.0-13.1.1.4, 12.1.0-12.1.4, 11.6.1-11.6.3.4, and 11.5.2-11.5.8, users with the Resource Administrator role can modify sensitive portions of the filesystem if provided Advanced Shell Access, such as editing /etc/passwd. This allows modifications to user objects and is contrary to our definition for the Resource Administrator (RA) role restrictions.
On BIG-IP 14.0.0-14.1.0.1, 13.0.0-13.1.1.4, 12.1.0-12.1.4, 11.6.1-11.6.3.4, and 11.5.2-11.5.8, Administrator and Resource Administrator roles might exploit TMSH access to bypass Appliance Mode restrictions on BIG-IP systems.
On versions 16.0.x before 16.0.1.1, 15.1.x before 15.1.2.1, 14.1.x before 14.1.4, 13.1.x before 13.1.3.6, 12.1.x before 12.1.5.3, and 11.6.x before 11.6.5.3, the upload functionality in BIG-IP Advanced WAF and BIG-IP ASM allows an authenticated user to upload files to the BIG-IP system using a call to an undisclosed iControl REST endpoint. Note: Software versions which have reached End of Software Development (EoSD) are not evaluated.
In BIG-IP Versions 16.1.x before 16.1.3, 15.1.x before 15.1.5.1, 14.1.x before 14.1.5, and all versions of 13.1.x, when running in Appliance mode, an authenticated user assigned the Administrator role may be able to bypass Appliance mode restrictions, using an undisclosed iControl REST endpoint. A successful exploit can allow the attacker to cross a security boundary. Note: Software versions which have reached End of Technical Support (EoTS) are not evaluated.
In BIG-IP Versions 17.0.x before 17.0.0.1, 16.1.x before 16.1.3.1, 15.1.x before 15.1.6.1, 14.1.x before 14.1.5.1, and all versions of 13.1.x, certain iRules commands may allow an attacker to bypass the access control restrictions for a self IP address, regardless of the port lockdown settings. Note: Software versions which have reached End of Technical Support (EoTS) are not evaluated.
When BIG-IP 14.0.0-14.0.0.2, 13.0.0-13.1.0.5, 12.1.0-12.1.3.5, 11.6.0-11.6.3.2, or 11.2.1-11.5.6, BIG-IQ Centralized Management 5.0.0-5.4.0 or 4.6.0, BIG-IQ Cloud and Orchestration 1.0.0, iWorkflow 2.1.0-2.3.0, or Enterprise Manager 3.1.1 is licensed for Appliance Mode, Admin and Resource administrator roles can by-pass BIG-IP Appliance Mode restrictions to overwrite critical system files. Attackers of high privilege level are able to overwrite critical system files which bypasses security controls in place to limit TMSH commands. This is possible with an administrator or resource administrator roles when granted TMSH. Resource administrator roles must have TMSH access in order to perform this attack.
In BIG-IP versions 15.1.0-15.1.0.4 and 15.0.0-15.0.1.3 the Certificate Administrator user role and higher privileged roles can perform arbitrary file reads outside of the web root directory.
On BIG-IP AAM 13.0.0 or 12.1.0-12.1.3.7, the dcdb_convert utility used by BIG-IP AAM fails to drop group permissions when executing helper scripts, which could be used to leverage attacks against the BIG-IP system.
The inode_init_owner function in fs/inode.c in the Linux kernel through 3.16 allows local users to create files with an unintended group ownership, in a scenario where a directory is SGID to a certain group and is writable by a user who is not a member of that group. Here, the non-member can trigger creation of a plain file whose group ownership is that group. The intended behavior was that the non-member can trigger creation of a directory (but not a plain file) whose group ownership is that group. The non-member can escalate privileges by making the plain file executable and SGID.
A local user on F5 BIG-IQ Centralized Management 5.1.0-5.2.0 with the Access Manager role has privileges to change the passwords of other users on the system, including the local admin account password.
In F5OS-A version 1.x before 1.1.0 and F5OS-C version 1.x before 1.5.0, excessive file permissions in F5OS allows an authenticated local attacker to execute limited set of commands in a container and impact the F5OS controller.
On BIG-IP versions 15.0.0-15.0.1.1, 14.1.0-14.1.2.2, 14.0.0-14.0.1, 13.1.0-13.1.3.1, 12.1.0-12.1.5, and 11.5.2-11.6.5.1, users with access to edit iRules are able to create iRules which can lead to an elevation of privilege, configuration modification, and arbitrary system command execution.
In BIG-IP 13.0.0, 12.1.0-12.1.3.7, 11.6.1-11.6.3.2, or 11.5.1-11.5.8, the Application Acceleration Manager (AAM) wamd process used in processing of images and PDFs fails to drop group permissions when executing helper scripts.
On BIG-IP 14.0.0-14.1.0.1, 13.0.0-13.1.1.4, 12.1.0-12.1.4, 11.6.1-11.6.3.4, and 11.5.2-11.5.8, a user with the Resource Administrator role is able to overwrite sensitive low-level files (such as /etc/passwd) using SFTP to modify user permissions, without Advanced Shell access. This is contrary to our definition for the Resource Administrator (RA) role restrictions.
The BIG-IP APM Edge Client for macOS bundled with BIG-IP APM 15.0.0-15.0.1, 14.1.0-14.1.0.5, 14.0.0-14.0.0.4, 13.1.0-13.1.1.5, 12.1.0-12.1.5, and 11.5.1-11.6.5 may allow unprivileged users to access files owned by root.
On BIG-IP versions 15.0.0-15.1.0, 14.0.0-14.1.2.3, 13.1.0-13.1.3.2, 12.1.0-12.1.5, and 11.5.2-11.6.5.1, BIG-IQ versions 7.0.0, 6.0.0-6.1.0, and 5.0.0-5.4.0, iWorkflow version 2.3.0, and Enterprise Manager version 3.1.1, authenticated users granted TMOS Shell (tmsh) privileges are able access objects on the file system which would normally be disallowed by tmsh restrictions. This allows for authenticated, low privileged attackers to access objects on the file system which would not normally be allowed.
A data modification vulnerability exists in Jenkins Agiletestware Pangolin Connector for TestRail Plugin 2.1 and earlier in GlobalConfig.java that allows attackers with Overall/Read permission to override this plugin's configuration by sending crafted HTTP requests to an unprotected endpoint.
fof/byobu is a private discussions extension for Flarum forum. Affected versions were found to not respect private discussion disablement by users. Users of Byobu should update the extension to version 1.1.7, where this has been patched. Users of Byobu with Flarum 1.0 or 1.1 should upgrade to Flarum 1.2 or later, or evaluate the impact this issue has on your forum's users and choose to disable the extension if needed. There are no workarounds for this issue.
TeamPass before 2.1.27.9 does not properly enforce manager access control when requesting roles.queries.php. It is then possible for a manager user to modify any arbitrary roles within the application, or delete any arbitrary role. To exploit the vulnerability, an authenticated attacker must have the manager rights on the application, then tamper with the requests sent directly, for example by changing the "id" parameter when invoking "delete_role" on roles.queries.php.
An issue was discovered in Zulip Server before 3.4. A bug in the implementation of the can_forge_sender permission (previously is_api_super_user) resulted in users with this permission being able to send messages appearing as if sent by a system bot, including to other organizations hosted by the same Zulip installation.

Improper access control in Nextcloud Deck 1.0.0 allowed an attacker to inject tasks into other users decks.
Chamilo LMS 1.11.10 does not properly manage privileges which could allow a user with Sessions administrator privilege to create a new user then use the edit user function to change this new user to administrator privilege.
Dell PowerScale OneFS, versions 8.2.0-9.3.0, contains an Improper Handling of Insufficient Permissions vulnerability. An remote malicious user could potentially exploit this vulnerability, leading to gaining write permissions on read-only files.
In JetBrains TeamCity before 2020.1, users are able to assign more permissions than they have.
One of the API in Mattermost version 6.3.0 and earlier fails to properly protect the permissions, which allows the system administrators to combine the two distinct privileges/capabilities in a way that allows them to override certain restricted configurations like EnableUploads.
Incorrect user permission validation in Harbor <v2.9.5 and Harbor <v2.10.3 allows authenticated users to modify configurations.

Cybozu Garoon 3.0.0 to 4.2.3 allows remote authenticated attackers to bypass access restriction in Workflow and the "MultiReport" function to alter or delete information via unspecified vectors.
A vulnerability in the OpenAPI of Cisco Secure Workload could allow an authenticated, remote attacker with the privileges of a read-only user to execute operations that should require Administrator privileges. The attacker would need valid user credentials. This vulnerability is due to improper role-based access control (RBAC) of certain OpenAPI operations. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability by issuing a crafted OpenAPI function call with valid credentials. A successful exploit could allow the attacker to execute OpenAPI operations that are reserved for the Administrator user, including the creation and deletion of user labels.
TeamPass before 2.1.27.9 does not properly enforce manager access control when requesting users.queries.php. It is then possible for a manager user to delete an arbitrary user (including admin), or modify attributes of any arbitrary user except administrator. To exploit the vulnerability, an authenticated attacker must have the manager rights on the application, then tamper with the requests sent directly, for example by changing the "id" parameter when invoking "delete_user" on users.queries.php.
IBM Sterling File Gateway does not properly restrict user requests based on permission level. This allows for users to update data related to other users, by manipulating the parameters passed in the POST request. IBM X-Force ID: 126060.
Cybozu Office 10.0.0 to 10.6.1 allows authenticated attackers to bypass access restriction to perform arbitrary actions via "Cabinet" function.
