SSRF in Rendertron

Rendertron versions prior to 3.0.0 are are susceptible to a Server-Side Request Forgery (SSRF) attack. An attacker can use a specially crafted webpage to force a rendertron headless chrome process to render internal sites it has access to, and display it as a screenshot. Suggested mitigations are to upgrade your rendertron to version 3.0.0, or, if you cannot update, to secure the infrastructure to limit the headless chrome's access to your internal domain.

FoodCoopShop Server-Side Request Forgery vulnerability

FoodCoopShop is open source software for food coops and local shops. Versions starting with 3.2.0 prior to 3.6.1 are vulnerable to server-side request forgery. In the Network module, a manufacturer account can use the `/api/updateProducts.json` endpoint to make the server send a request to an arbitrary host. This means that the server can be used as a proxy into the internal network where the server is. Furthermore, the checks on a valid image are not adequate, leading to a time of check time of use issue. For example, by using a custom server that returns 200 on HEAD requests, then return a valid image on first GET request and then a 302 redirect to final target on second GET request, the server will copy whatever file is at the redirect destination, making this a full SSRF. Version 3.6.1 fixes this vulnerability.

OpenComputers's SSRF to cloud service metadata services and local IPv6 addresses not blocked by default

OpenComputers is a Minecraft mod that adds programmable computers and robots to the game. This issue affects every version of OpenComputers with the Internet Card feature enabled; that is, OpenComputers 1.2.0 until 1.8.3 in their most common, default configurations. If the OpenComputers mod is installed as part of a Minecraft server hosted on a popular cloud hosting provider, such as AWS, GCP and Azure, those metadata services' API endpoints are not forbidden (aka "blacklisted") by default. As such, any player can gain access to sensitive information exposed via those metadata servers, potentially allowing them to pivot or privilege escalate into the hosting provider. In addition, IPv6 addresses are not correctly filtered at all, allowing broader access into the local IPv6 network. This can allow a player on a server using an OpenComputers computer to access parts of the private IPv4 address space, as well as the whole IPv6 address space, in order to retrieve sensitive information. OpenComputers v1.8.3 for Minecraft 1.7.10 and 1.12.2 contains a patch for this issue. Some workarounds are also available. One may disable the Internet Card feature completely. If using OpenComputers 1.3.0 or above, using the allow list (`opencomputers.internet.whitelist` option) will prohibit connections to any IP addresses and/or domains not listed; or one may add entries to the block list (`opencomputers.internet.blacklist` option). More information about mitigations is available in the GitHub Security Advisory.

InvoiceShelf: SSRF in Payment Receipt PDF Rendering via Unsanitised HTML in Notes Field

InvoiceShelf is an open-source web & mobile app that helps track expenses, payments and create professional invoices and estimates. Prior to version 2.2.0, a Server-Side Request Forgery (SSRF) vulnerability exists in the Payment receipt PDF generation module. User-supplied HTML in the payment Notes field is passed unsanitised to the Dompdf rendering library, which will fetch any remote resources referenced in the markup. The vulnerability is exploitable directly via the PDF receipt endpoint, regardless of whether automated email attachments are enabled. This issue has been patched in version 2.2.0.

CC: Tweaked SSRF to Cloud Services Metadata Services not Blocked by Default

CC: Tweaked is a mod for Minecraft which adds programmable computers, turtles, and more to the game. Prior to versions 1.20.1-1.106.0, 1.19.4-1.106.0, 1.19.2-1.101.3, 1.18.2-1.101.3, and 1.16.5-1.101.3, if the cc-tweaked plugin is running on a Minecraft server hosted on a popular cloud hosting providers, like AWS, GCP, and Azure, those metadata services API endpoints are not forbidden (aka "blacklisted") by default. As such, any player can gain access to sensitive information exposed via those metadata servers, potentially allowing them to pivot or privilege escalate into the hosting provider. Versions 1.20.1-1.106.0, 1.19.4-1.106.0, 1.19.2-1.101.3, 1.18.2-1.101.3, and 1.16.5-1.101.3 contain a fix for this issue.

Budibase: Server-Side Request Forgery via REST Connector with Empty Default Blacklist

Budibase is an open-source low-code platform. Prior to version 3.33.4, a server-side request forgery (SSRF) vulnerability exists in Budibase's REST datasource connector. The platform's SSRF protection mechanism (IP blacklist) is rendered completely ineffective because the BLACKLIST_IPS environment variable is not set by default in any of the official deployment configurations. When this variable is empty, the blacklist function unconditionally returns false, allowing all requests through without restriction. This issue has been patched in version 3.33.4.

Chartbrew has SSRF in API Data Connection - No IP Validation on User-Provided URLs

Chartbrew is an open-source web application that can connect directly to databases and APIs and use the data to create charts. Prior to 4.8.5, Chartbrew allows authenticated users to create API data connections with arbitrary URLs. The server fetches these URLs using request-promise without any IP address validation, enabling Server-Side Request Forgery attacks against internal networks and cloud metadata endpoints. Wekan Vulnerable to SSRF through Lack of Validation or Filtering in Attachment URL Loading

Wekan is an open source kanban tool built with Meteor. Versions 8.32 and 8.33 are vulnerable to Server-Side Request Forgery (SSRF) via attachment URL loading. During board import in Wekan, attachment URLs from user-supplied JSON data are fetched directly by the server without any URL validation or filtering, affecting both the Wekan and Trello import flows. The parseActivities() and parseActions() methods extract user-controlled attachment URLs, which are then passed directly to Attachments.load() for download with no sanitization. This Server-Side Request Forgery (SSRF) vulnerability allows any authenticated user to make the server issue arbitrary HTTP requests, potentially accessing internal network services such as cloud instance metadata endpoints (exposing IAM credentials), internal databases, and admin panels that are otherwise unreachable from outside the network. This issue has been fixed in version 8.34.

Discourse's SSRF protection missing for some FastImage requests

Discourse is an open-source discussion platform. Prior to version 3.1.0.beta3 of the `beta` and `tests-passed` branches, some user provided URLs were being passed to FastImage without SSRF protection. Insufficient protections could enable attackers to trigger outbound network connections from the Discourse server to private IP addresses. This affects any site running the `tests-passed` or `beta` branches versions 3.1.0.beta2 and prior. This issue is patched in version 3.1.0.beta3 of the `beta` and `tests-passed` branches. AVideo has Authenticated Server-Side Request Forgery via downloadURL in aVideoEncoder.json.php

WWBN AVideo is an open source video platform. Prior to version 22.0, the `aVideoEncoder.json.php` API endpoint accepts a `downloadURL` parameter and fetches the referenced resource server-side without proper validation or an allow-list. This allows authenticated users to trigger server-side requests to arbitrary URLs (including internal network endpoints). An authenticated attacker can leverage SSRF to interact with internal services and retrieve sensitive data (e.g., internal APIs, metadata services), potentially leading to further compromise depending on the deployment environment. This issue has been fixed in AVideo version 22.0.

LibreChat is Vulnerable to Server-Side Request Forgery (SSRF) in Actions Capability

LibreChat is a ChatGPT clone with additional features. Prior to version 0.8.1-rc2, LibreChat is vulnerable to Server-side Request Forgery (SSRF), by passing specially crafted OpenAPI specs to its "Actions" feature and making the LLM use those actions. It could be used by an authenticated user with access to this feature to access URLs only accessible to the LibreChat server (such as cloud metadata services, through which impersonation of the server might be possible). This issue has been patched in version 0.8.1-rc2.

Typebot May Expose AWS EKS Credentials via Server Side Request Forgery in Webhook Block

Typebot is an open-source chatbot builder. In versions prior to 3.13.1, a Server-Side Request Forgery (SSRF) vulnerability in the Typebot webhook block (HTTP Request component) functionality allows authenticated users to make arbitrary HTTP requests from the server, including access to AWS Instance Metadata Service (IMDS). By bypassing IMDSv2 protection through custom header injection, attackers can extract temporary AWS IAM credentials for the EKS node role, leading to complete compromise of the Kubernetes cluster and associated AWS infrastructure. Version 3.13.1 fixes the issue.

LLaMA-Factory is a tuning library for large language models. Prior to version 0.9.4, a Server-Side Request Forgery (SSRF) vulnerability in the chat API allows any authenticated user to force the server to make arbitrary HTTP requests to internal and external networks. This can lead to the exposure of sensitive internal services, reconnaissance of the internal network, or interaction with third-party services. The same mechanism also allows for a Local File Inclusion (LFI) vulnerability, enabling users to read arbitrary files from the server's filesystem. The vulnerability exists in the `_process_request` function within `src/llamafactory/api/chat.py.` This function is responsible for processing incoming multimodal content, including images, videos, and audio provided via URLs. The function checks if the provided URL is a base64 data URI or a local file path (`os.path.isfile`). If neither is true, it falls back to treating the URL as a web URI and makes a direct HTTP GET request using `requests.get(url, stream=True).raw` without any validation or sanitization of the URL. Version 0.9.4 fixes the underlying issue.

Server-Side Request Forgery (SSRF) in Shopware Flow Builder

Shopware is an open headless commerce platform. The implemented Flow Builder functionality in the Shopware application does not adequately validate the URL used when creating the “call webhook” action. This enables malicious users to perform web requests to internal hosts. This issue has been fixed in the Commercial Plugin release 6.5.7.4 or with the Security Plugin. For installations with Shopware 6.4 the Security plugin is recommended to be installed and up to date. For older versions of 6.4 and 6.5 corresponding security measures are also available via a plugin. For the full range of functions, we recommend updating to the latest Shopware version.
