DHIS2 Core contains the service layer and Web API for DHIS2, an information system for data capture. Starting in the 2.35 branch and prior to versions 2.36.13, 2.37.8, 2.38.2, and 2.39.0, when the Category Option Combination Sharing settings are configured to control access to specific tracker program events or program stages, the `/trackedEntityInstances` and `/events` API endpoints may include all events regardless of the sharing settings applied to the category option combinations. When this specific configuration is present, users may have access to events which they should not be able to see based on the sharing settings of the category options. The events will not appear in the user interface for web-based Tracker Capture or Capture applications, but if the Android Capture App is used they will be displayed to the user. Versions 2.36.13, 2.37.8, 2.38.2, and 2.39.0 contain a fix for this issue. No workaround is known.
Adobe Commerce versions 2.4.9-alpha2, 2.4.8-p2, 2.4.7-p7, 2.4.6-p12, 2.4.5-p14, 2.4.4-p15 and earlier are affected by an Incorrect Authorization vulnerability. A low-privileged attacker could leverage this vulnerability to bypass security measures and gain unauthorized access to elevated privileges that increase integrity impact to high. Exploitation of this issue does not require user interaction.
The Brizy Page Builder plugin <= 2.3.11 for WordPress used an incorrect authorization check that allowed any logged-in user accessing any endpoint in the wp-admin directory to modify the content of any existing post or page created with the Brizy editor. An identical issue was found by another researcher in Brizy <= 1.0.125 and fixed in version 1.0.126, but the vulnerability was reintroduced in version 1.0.127.
The Gutenberg Template Library & Redux Framework plugin <= 4.2.11 for WordPress used an incorrect authorization check in the REST API endpoints registered under the “redux/v1/templates/” REST Route in “redux-templates/classes/class-api.php”. The `permissions_callback` used in this file only checked for the `edit_posts` capability which is granted to lower-privileged users such as contributors, allowing such users to install arbitrary plugins from the WordPress repository and edit arbitrary posts.
e107 is a content management system (CMS). Prior to 2.3.4, a Broken Access Control vulnerability exists in the application, allowing an unauthorized authenticated user to edit comments posted by others. This stems from inadequate server-side access control validation, where the application depends only on a predictable identifier in the request to determine which comment to edit, without confirming the requesting user’s ownership of the comment. This vulnerability is fixed in 2.3.4.
AMP Application Deployment Service in CubeCoders AMP 2.1.x before 2.1.1.2 allows a remote, authenticated user to open ports in the local system firewall by crafting an HTTP(S) request directly to the applicable API endpoint (despite not having permission to make changes to the system's network configuration).
An issue was discovered in the AbuseFilter extension for MediaWiki through 1.35.2. A MediaWiki user who is partially blocked or was unsuccessfully blocked could bypass AbuseFilter and have their edits completed.
Incorrect authorization in PAM vaults in Devolutions Server 2024.3.12 and earlier allows an authenticated user to bypass the 'add in root' permission.
In Splunk Enterprise versions below 9.4.1, 9.3.3, 9.2.5, and 9.1.8, and versions below 3.8.38 and 3.7.23 of the Splunk Secure Gateway app on Splunk Cloud Platform, a low-privileged user that does not hold the “admin“ or “power“ Splunk roles could edit and delete other user data in App Key Value Store (KVStore) collections that the Splunk Secure Gateway app created. This is due to missing access control and incorrect ownership of the data in those KVStore collections.<br><br>In the affected versions, the `nobody` user owned the data in the KVStore collections. This meant that there was no specific owner assigned to the data in those collections.
Account Hijacking in /northstar/Admin/changePassword.jsp in Northstar Technologies Inc NorthStar Club Management 6.3 allows remote authenticated users to change the password of any targeted user accounts via lack of proper authorization in the user-controlled "userID" parameter of the HTTP POST request.
A vulnerability in an API subsystem of Cisco Secure Network Analytics Manager and Cisco Secure Network Analytics Virtual Manager could allow an authenticated, remote attacker with low privileges to generate fraudulent findings that are used to generate alarms and alerts on an affected product. Thi vulnerability is due to insufficient authorization enforcement on a specific API. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability by authenticating as a low-privileged user and performing API calls with crafted input. A successful exploit could allow the attacker to obfuscate legitimate findings in analytics reports or create false indications with alarms and alerts on an affected device.
Magento versions 2.4.2 (and earlier), 2.4.1-p1 (and earlier) and 2.3.6-p1 (and earlier) are vulnerable to an Improper Authorization vulnerability in the customers module. Successful exploitation could allow a low-privileged user to modify customer data. Access to the admin console is required for successful exploitation.
a12n-server is an npm package which aims to provide a simple authentication system. A new HAL-Form was added to allow editing users in version 0.18.0. This feature should only have been accessible to admins. Unfortunately, privileges were incorrectly checked allowing any logged in user to make this change. Patched in v0.18.2.
The team sync HTTP API in Grafana Enterprise 7.4.x before 7.4.5 has an Incorrect Access Control issue. On Grafana instances using an external authentication service, this vulnerability allows any authenticated user to add external groups to existing teams. This can be used to grant a user team permissions that the user isn't supposed to have.
The Stylish Price List WordPress plugin before 6.9.1 does not perform capability checks in its spl_upload_ser_img AJAX action (available to authenticated users), which could allow any authenticated users, such as subscriber, to upload arbitrary images.
The Easy Cookies Policy WordPress plugin through 1.6.2 is lacking any capability and CSRF check when saving its settings, allowing any authenticated users (such as subscriber) to change them. If users can't register, this can be done through CSRF. Furthermore, the cookie banner setting is not sanitised or validated before being output in all pages of the frontend and the backend settings one, leading to a Stored Cross-Site Scripting issue.
The PostX – Gutenberg Blocks for Post Grid WordPress plugin before 2.4.10 performs incorrect checks before allowing any logged in user to perform some ajax based requests, allowing any user to modify, delete or add ultp_options values.
The Batch Cat WordPress plugin through 0.3 defines 3 custom AJAX actions, which both require authentication but are available for all roles. As a result, any authenticated user (including simple subscribers) can add/set/delete arbitrary categories to posts.
The Post Expirator WordPress plugin before 2.6.0 does not have proper capability checks in place, which could allow users with a role as low as Contributor to schedule deletion of arbitrary posts.
The Realteo WordPress plugin before 1.2.4, used by the Findeo Theme, did not ensure that the requested property to be deleted belong to the user making the request, allowing any authenticated users to delete arbitrary properties by tampering with the property_id parameter.
Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) functionality can be bypassed, allowing the use of single factor authentication in NetIQ Advanced Authentication versions prior to 6.3 SP4 Patch 1.
Applications using Spring Cloud Gateway are vulnerable to specifically crafted requests that could make an extra request on downstream services. Users of affected versions should apply the following mitigation: 3.0.x users should upgrade to 3.0.5+, 2.2.x users should upgrade to 2.2.10.RELEASE or newer.
Kirby is an open-source content management system. Kirby's user permissions control which user role is allowed to perform specific actions to content models in the CMS. These permissions are defined for each role in the user blueprint (`site/blueprints/users/...`). It is also possible to customize the permissions for each target model in the model blueprints (such as in `site/blueprints/pages/...`) using the `options` feature. The permissions and options together control the authorization of user actions. For pages, Kirby provides the `pages.create` and `pages.changeStatus` permissions (among others). Prior to versions 4.9.0 and 5.4.0, Kirby checked these permissions independently and only for the respective action. However the `changeStatus` permission didn't take effect on page creation. New pages are created as drafts by default and need to be published by changing the page status of an existing page draft. This is ensured when the page is created via the Kirby Panel. However the REST API allows to override the `isDraft` flag when creating a new page. This allowed authenticated attackers with the `pages.create` permission to immediately create published pages, bypassing the normal editorial workflow. The problem has been patched in Kirby 4.9.0 and Kirby 5.4.0. Kirby has added a check to the page creation rules that ensures that users without the `pages.changeStatus` permission cannot create published pages, only page drafts.
Multiple vulnerabilities in the web-based management interface of Cisco Data Center Network Manager (DCNM) could allow an authenticated, remote attacker to view, modify, and delete data without proper authorization. For more information about these vulnerabilities, see the Details section of this advisory.
Simple Machines Forum 2.1 prior to commit 7d048f8 and 3.0 prior to commit a7875e8 contains an authorization bypass vulnerability in Sources/Actions/AttachmentApprove.php where a single-character operator error causes the permission check to always pass regardless of user permissions. An authenticated low-privileged user can approve, reject, or delete any pending attachments on any board without holding the required approve_posts permission, bypass moderation queues for their own uploads, and enumerate and delete other users' pending attachments.
Cloudera CDH before 5.6.1 allows authorization bypass via direct internal API calls.
OpenClaw versions 2026.6.5 before 2026.6.9 contain a vulnerability in the plugin install wrappers that could skip the install policy (authorization) check. When the affected feature is enabled and reachable, a lower-trust caller or a configured input path could execute or persist actions beyond the caller's intended authorization. Impact depends on the operator's configuration and whether lower-trust input can reach the affected path. The issue is fixed in 2026.6.9.
SurrealDB versions before 3.2.0 contain a permissions bypass vulnerability where data-modifying statements within PERMISSIONS clauses execute with enforcement disabled. Attackers with permission to perform a guarded operation can write to tables they lack permission for by embedding CREATE, UPDATE, DELETE, or UPSERT statements in the PERMISSIONS clause, causing unintended writes and data corruption.
A CWE-863: Incorrect Authorization vulnerability exists in U.motion Servers and Touch Panels (affected versions listed in the security notification) which could cause unauthorized access when a low privileged user makes unauthorized changes.
Directus is a real-time API and App dashboard for managing SQL database content. Prior to 11.16.1, Directus' TUS resumable upload endpoint (/files/tus) allows any authenticated user with basic file upload permissions to overwrite arbitrary existing files by UUID. The TUS controller performs only collection-level authorization checks, verifying the user has some permission on directus_files, but never validates item-level access to the specific file being replaced. As a result, row-level permission rules (e.g., "users can only update their own files") are completely bypassed via the TUS path while being correctly enforced on the standard REST upload path. This vulnerability is fixed in 11.16.1.
jackson-databind contains the general-purpose data-binding functionality and tree-model for Jackson Data Processor. From 2.18.0 until 2.18.9, 2.21.5, 2.22.1, 3.1.5, and 3.2.1, UnwrappedPropertyHandler.processUnwrapped() replays buffered JSON for a @JsonUnwrapped property and calls prop.deserializeAndSet() without a prop.visibleInView(ctxt.getActiveView()) guard, allowing a property annotated with both @JsonView and @JsonUnwrapped to be written from attacker JSON under a less-privileged active view. This issue is fixed in versions 2.18.9, 2.21.5, 2.22.1, 3.1.5, and 3.2.1.
OpenClaw before 2026.3.11 contains an authorization bypass vulnerability allowing authenticated operators with only operator.write permission to access admin-only browser profile management routes through browser.request. Attackers can create or modify browser profiles and persist attacker-controlled remote CDP endpoints to disk without holding operator.admin privileges.
OpenClaw versions prior to 2026.2.26 contain an approval context-binding weakness in system.run execution flows with host=node that allows reuse of previously approved requests with modified environment variables. Attackers with access to an approval id can exploit this by reusing an approval with changed env input, bypassing execution-integrity controls in approval-enabled workflows.
Textpattern CMS 4.9.0 contains a Broken Access Control vulnerability in the article management system that allows authenticated users with low privileges to modify articles owned by users with higher privileges. By manipulating the article ID parameter during the duplicate-and-save workflow in textpattern/include/txp_article.php, an attacker can bypass authorization checks and overwrite content belonging to other users.
A vulnerability was found in yeqifu warehouse up to aaf29962ba407d22d991781de28796ee7b4670e4. This affects the function addCustomer/updateCustomer/deleteCustomer of the file dataset\repos\warehouse\src\main\java\com\yeqifu\bus\controller\CustomerController.java of the component Customer Endpoint. Performing a manipulation results in improper access controls. Remote exploitation of the attack is possible. The exploit has been made public and could be used. This product follows a rolling release approach for continuous delivery, so version details for affected or updated releases are not provided. The project was informed of the problem early through an issue report but has not responded yet.
ClipBucket v5 is an open source video sharing platform. Prior to version 5.5.3 #59, collection item operations are vulnerable to authorization flaws, allowing a normal authenticated user to modify another user’s collection items. This affects both add item (/actions/add_to_collection.php) due to missing authorization checks and delete item (/manage_collections.php?mode=manage_items...) due to a broken ownership check in removeItemFromCollection(). As a result, attackers can insert and remove items from collections they do not own. Version 5.5.3 #59 fixes the issue.
The Listeo WordPress theme before 1.6.11 did not ensure that the Post/Page and Booking to delete belong to the user making the request, allowing any authenticated users to delete arbitrary page/post and booking via an IDOR vector.
OpenClaw is a personal AI assistant. Prior to version 2026.2.14, under iMessage `groupPolicy=allowlist`, group authorization could be satisfied by sender identities coming from the DM pairing store, broadening DM trust into group contexts. Version 2026.2.14 fixes the issue.
Zulip is an open-source team collaboration tool. Prior to commit bf28c82dc9b1f630fa8e9106358771b20a0040f7, the API endpoint for creating a card update session during an upgrade flow was accessible to users with only organization member privileges. When the associated Stripe Checkout session is completed, the Stripe webhook updates the organization’s default payment method. Because no billing-specific authorization check is enforced, a regular (non-billing) member can change the organization’s payment method. This vulnerability affected the Zulip Cloud payment processing system, and has been patched as of commit bf28c82dc9b1f630fa8e9106358771b20a0040f7. Self-hosted deploys are no longer affected and no patch or upgrade is required for them.
an Improper Access Control vulnerability has been found in EmbedAI 2.1 and below. This vulnerability allows an authenticated attacker change his subscription plan without paying by making a POST request changing the parameters of the "/demos/embedai/pmt_cash_on_delivery/pay" endpoint.
GitLab has remediated an issue in GitLab EE affecting all versions from 10.6 before 18.3.5, 18.4 before 18.4.3, and 18.5 before 18.5.1 that could have allowed an authenticated attacker to trigger unauthorized pipeline executions by manipulating commits.
An AJAX action registered by the WPBakery Page Builder (Visual Composer) Clipboard WordPress plugin before 4.5.8 did not have capability checks, allowing low privilege users, such as subscribers, to update the license options (key, email).
Gogs is an open source self-hosted Git service. Versions 0.13.4 and below have a broken access control vulnerability which allows authenticated users with write access to any repository to modify labels belonging to other repositories. The UpdateLabel function in the Web UI (internal/route/repo/issue.go) fails to verify that the label being modified belongs to the repository specified in the URL path, enabling cross-repository label tampering attacks. The vulnerability exists in the Web UI's label update endpoint POST /:username/:reponame/labels/edit. The handler function UpdateLabel uses an incorrect database query function that bypasses repository ownership validation. This issue has been fixed in version 0.14.1.
MinIO is an open-source high performance object storage service and it is API compatible with Amazon S3 cloud storage service. In MinIO before version RELEASE.2021-03-04T00-53-13Z it is possible to bypass a readOnly policy by creating a temporary 'mc share upload' URL. Everyone is impacted who uses MinIO multi-users. This is fixed in version RELEASE.2021-03-04T00-53-13Z. As a workaround, one can disable uploads with `Content-Type: multipart/form-data` as mentioned in the S3 API RESTObjectPOST docs by using a proxy in front of MinIO.
The NextScripts: Social Networks Auto-Poster plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to authorization bypass due to missing capability checks on multiple user privilege/security functions provided in versions up to, and including 4.3.17. This makes it possible for low-privileged attackers, like subscribers, to perform restricted actions that would be otherwise locked to a administrative-level user.
OpenClaw versions 2026.6.6 before 2026.6.9 contain an authorization bypass vulnerability in message mutation handling that allows lower-trust callers to perform actions requiring stronger authorization checks. Attackers can exploit misconfigured input paths to skip requester authorization and execute privileged operations when the affected feature is enabled and reachable.
