Argo CD is a declarative, GitOps continuous delivery tool for Kubernetes. Argo CD starting with version 1.5.0 but before versions 2.1.11, 2.2.6, and 2.3.0 is vulnerable to a path traversal vulnerability, allowing a malicious user with read/write access to leak sensitive files from Argo CD's repo-server. A malicious Argo CD user who has been granted `create` or `update` access to Applications can leak the contents of any text file on the repo-server. By crafting a malicious Helm chart and using it in an Application, the attacker can retrieve the sensitive file's contents either as part of the generated manifests or in an error message. The attacker would have to know or guess the location of the target file. Sensitive files which could be leaked include files from another Application's source repositories or any secrets which have been mounted as files on the repo-server. This vulnerability is patched in Argo CD versions 2.1.11, 2.2.6, and 2.3.0. The problem can be mitigated by avoiding storing secrets in git, avoiding mounting secrets as files on the repo-server, avoiding decrypting secrets into files on the repo-server, and carefully limiting who can `create` or `update` Applications.
There is a path traversal vulnerability in ESRI ArcGIS Server versions 11.3 and below. Successful exploitation may allow a remote authenticated attacker with admin privileges to traverse the file system to access files outside of the intended directory. There is no impact to integrity or availability due to the nature of the files that can be accessed, but there is a potential high impact to confidentiality.

We have already fixed the vulnerability in the following version: QuFirewall 2.4.1 ( 2024/02/01 ) and later
Ghost is an open source content management system. Versions prior to 5.59.1 are subject to a vulnerability which allows authenticated users to upload files that are symlinks. This can be exploited to perform an arbitrary file read of any file on the host operating system. Site administrators can check for exploitation of this issue by looking for unknown symlinks within Ghost's `content/` folder. Version 5.59.1 contains a fix for this issue. All users are advised to upgrade. There are no known workarounds for this vulnerability.
The Code Explorer plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Path Traversal in all versions up to, and including, 1.4.6 via the 'file' parameter. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with Administrator-level access and above, to read the contents of arbitrary files on the server, which can contain sensitive information.
CWE-22: Improper Limitation of a Pathname to a Restricted Directory ('Path Traversal') vulnerability exists that could cause arbitrary file reads from the charging station. The exploitation of this vulnerability does require an authenticated session of the web server.
The Simple Download Counter plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Path Traversal in all versions up to, and including, 2.2.2. This is due to insufficient path validation in the `simple_download_counter_parse_path()` function. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with Administrator-level access and above, to read the contents of arbitrary files on the server, which may contain sensitive information such as database credentials (wp-config.php) or system files. Please note that the vendor opted to continue to allow remote file downloads from arbitrary locations on the server, however, has disabled this functionality on multi-sites and provided a warning to site owners in the readme.txt when they install the plugin. While not an optimal patch, we have considered this sufficient and recommend users proceed to use the plugin with caution.
Funadmin v5.0.2 has an arbitrary file read vulnerability in /curd/index/editfile.
Multiple vulnerabilities in the Cisco IOx application hosting environment on multiple Cisco platforms could allow an attacker to inject arbitrary commands into the underlying host operating system, execute arbitrary code on the underlying host operating system, install applications without being authenticated, or conduct a cross-site scripting (XSS) attack against a user of the affected software. For more information about these vulnerabilities, see the Details section of this advisory.
In JetBrains TeamCity before 2024.07.3 path traversal leading to information disclosure was possible via server backups

Kyocera TASKalfa 4053ci printers through 2VG_S000.002.561 allow /wlmdeu%2f%2e%2e%2f%2e%2e directory traversal to read arbitrary files on the filesystem, even files that require root privileges. NOTE: this issue exists because of an incomplete fix for CVE-2020-23575.
Improper Limitation of a Pathname to a Restricted Directory ('Path Traversal') vulnerability in Dmitry V. (CEO of "UKR Solution") Barcode Scanner with Inventory & Order Manager barcode-scanner-lite-pos-to-manage-products-inventory-and-orders allows Path Traversal. This issue affects Barcode Scanner with Inventory & Order Manager: from n/a through <= 1.9.0.
Improper Limitation of a Pathname to a Restricted Directory ('Path Traversal') vulnerability in gioni Plugin Inspector plugin-inspector allows Path Traversal. This issue affects Plugin Inspector: from n/a through <= 1.5.
The WordPress Gallery Plugin WordPress plugin before 3.39 does not validate some block attributes before using them to generate paths passed to include function/s, allowing Admin users to perform LFI attacks
The Smart Slider 3 plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Directory Traversal in all versions up to, and including, 3.5.1.36 via the replaceHTMLImage function. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with administrator-level access and above, to read the contents of arbitrary files on the server, which can contain sensitive information.
The String locator WordPress plugin before 2.5.0 does not properly validate the path of the files to be searched, allowing high privilege users such as admin to query arbitrary files on the web server via a path traversal vector. Furthermore, due to a flaw in the search, allowing a pattern to be provided, which will be used to output the relevant matches from the matching file, all content of the file can be disclosed.
A flaw was found in Keycloak. A realm administrator with the "manage-realm" role can exploit this vulnerability by submitting an arbitrary filesystem path as a keystore parameter when creating a key provider component. This allows the administrator to probe arbitrary filesystem paths, determining which files exist and are readable by the Keycloak process. This information disclosure could be used to identify high-value targets for follow-on attacks.
The LearnPress – Backup & Migration Tool plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Arbitrary File Read via Directory Traversal in all versions up to, and including, 4.1.4 via the 'import-user-file' parameter parameter. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with administrator-level access and above, to read the contents of arbitrary files on the server, which can contain sensitive information.
The Woosa – Marktplaats for WooCommerce plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Arbitrary File Read via Path Traversal in versions up to and including 2.0.4. This is due to insufficient path sanitization in the render_logs_ui() function, which accepts a base64-encoded file name from the 'log_file' GET parameter and concatenates it directly with the plugin's log directory path without validating that the resolved path remains within the intended directory. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with Administrator-level access, to read the contents of arbitrary files on the server, including wp-config.
Pimcore is an open source data and experience management platform. Prior to version 10.5.21, the `/admin/misc/script-proxy` API endpoint that is accessible by an authenticated administrator user is vulnerable to arbitrary JavaScript and CSS file read via the `scriptPath` and `scripts` parameters. The `scriptPath` parameter is not sanitized properly and is vulnerable to path traversal attack. Any JavaScript/CSS file from the application server can be read by specifying sufficient number of `../` patterns to go out from the application webroot followed by path of the folder where the file is located in the "scriptPath" parameter and the file name in the "scripts" parameter. The JavaScript file is successfully read only if the web application has read access to it. Users should update to version 10.5.21 to receive a patch or, as a workaround, apply the patch manual.
Multiple authenticated path traversal vulnerabilities exist in the Aruba EdgeConnect Enterprise command line interface. Successful exploitation of these vulnerabilities result in the ability to read arbitrary files on the underlying operating system, including sensitive system files.

In TYPO3 11.5.24, the filelist component allows attackers (who have access to the administrator panel) to read arbitrary files via directory traversal in the baseuri field, as demonstrated by POST /typo3/record/edit with ../../../ in data[sys_file_storage]*[data][sDEF][lDEF][basePath][vDEF].
The Fluent Forms plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Arbitrary File Read in versions up to and including 6.2.1. This is due to insufficient path validation in the getAttachments() method of EmailNotificationActions, which resolves attacker-supplied file-upload URLs into filesystem paths without verifying that the resolved path stays inside the WordPress uploads directory: a strpos() prefix check on the raw URL can be bypassed with traversal sequences, wp_normalize_path() does not resolve ".\..\" segments, and file_exists() then resolves them at the kernel level. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers with administrator access to read arbitrary files readable by the web-server user — including wp-config.php with its database credentials and authentication salts — by submitting a form whose admin notification is configured to attach a file-upload field and supplying a crafted URL of the shape <upload_baseurl>/../../<target> as the file-field value. The resolved file is attached to the outbound admin-notification email via wp_mail(). While the email can be triggered by unauthenticated users, the email recipient is not user-controlled.
Cacti is an open source performance and fault management framework. Prior to 1.2.29, an administrator can change the `Poller Standard Error Log Path` parameter in either Installation Step 5 or in Configuration->Settings->Paths tab to a local file inside the server. Then simply going to Logs tab and selecting the name of the local file will show its content on the web UI. This vulnerability is fixed in 1.2.29.
