Pydio 6.0.8 mishandles error reporting when a directory allows unauthenticated uploads, and the remote-upload option is used with the http://localhost:22 URL. The attacker can obtain sensitive information such as the name of the user who created that directory and other internal server information.
Information disclosure in images API in Canonical LXD before 6.5 and 5.21.4 on all platforms allows unauthenticated remote attackers to determine project existence via differing HTTP status code responses.
OMERO.web provides a web based client and plugin infrastructure. Prior to version 5.29.2, if an error occurred when resetting a user's password using the Forgot Password option in OMERO.web, the error message displayed on the Web page can disclose information about the user. This issue has been patched in version 5.29.2. A workaround involves disabling the Forgot password option in OMERO.web using the omero.web.show_forgot_password configuration property.
Generation of Error Message Containing Sensitive Information vulnerability in Apache Camel Undertow Component. The camel-undertow HTTP server consumer exposes a muteException option that controls what is returned to the client when a route processing error occurs. This option defaulted to false, whereas the other Camel HTTP server components (camel-http / camel-jetty / camel-servlet and camel-platform-http) default it to true. With muteException=false, when a request triggers an exception during route processing the consumer writes the full Throwable stack trace into the HTTP response body as text/plain instead of returning an empty body. Any unauthenticated client that can reach the endpoint and cause a processing error - for example by sending a malformed request body, an invalid parameter, or otherwise triggering a route-internal failure - therefore receives a complete Java stack trace. Such a stack trace can disclose sensitive internal information, including credentials embedded in exception messages, internal host names and IP addresses, filesystem paths, dependency and version details, database and class names, and the application's internal structure, which an attacker can use to plan further attacks. In addition, for Rest DSL consumers the muteException option was not honoured at all: the RestUndertowHttpBinding was created with a hard-coded false, so the stack trace was returned even when muteException=true had been configured. This issue affects Apache Camel: from 4.0.0 before 4.14.8, from 4.15.0 before 4.18.3, from 4.19.0 before 4.21.0. Users are recommended to upgrade to version 4.21.0, which fixes the issue. If users are on the 4.14.x LTS releases stream, then they are suggested to upgrade to 4.14.8. If users are on the 4.18.x releases stream, then they are suggested to upgrade to 4.18.3. For deployments that cannot upgrade immediately, set muteException=true explicitly on the camel-undertow consumer (for example undertow: http://0.0.0.0:8080/api?muteException=true , or globally via the camel.component.undertow.mute-exception=true property), so that processing errors no longer return the stack trace to the client; note that on affected releases this workaround does not cover Rest DSL consumers, whose binding ignores the option until the fix is applied.
IBM Security Guardium 11.2 could allow a remote attacker to obtain sensitive information when a detailed technical error message is returned in the browser. This information could be used in further attacks against the system. IBM X-Force ID: 196315.
A flaw was found in RESTEasy in all versions of RESTEasy up to 4.6.0.Final. The endpoint class and method names are returned as part of the exception response when RESTEasy cannot convert one of the request URI path or query values to the matching JAX-RS resource method's parameter value. The highest threat from this vulnerability is to data confidentiality.
IBM i2 Analyst's Notebook Premium (IBM i2 Analyze 4.3.0, 4.3.1, and 4.3.2) could allow a remote attacker to obtain sensitive information when a detailed technical error message is returned in the browser. This information could be used in further attacks against the system. IBM X-Force ID: 196341.
OpenSift is an AI study tool that sifts through large datasets using semantic search and generative AI. Prior to version 1.6.3-alpha, some endpoints returned raw exception strings to clients. Additionally, login token material was exposed in UI/rendered responses and token rotation output. This issue has been patched in version 1.6.3-alpha.
An issue was discovered in SmartClient 12.0. If an unauthenticated attacker makes a POST request to /tools/developerConsoleOperations.jsp or /isomorphic/IDACall with malformed XML data in the _transaction parameter, the server replies with a verbose error showing where the application resides (the absolute path). NOTE: the documentation states "These tools are, by default, available to anyone ... so they should only be deployed into a trusted environment. Alternately, the tools can easily be restricted to administrators or end users by protecting the tools path with normal authentication and authorization mechanisms on the web server."
Spring Data REST serializes the full exception cause chain into HTTP error response bodies, potentially exposing persistence-layer internals to HTTP clients. Affected versions: Spring Data REST 3.7.0 through 3.7.19; 4.3.0 through 4.3.16; 4.4.0 through 4.4.14; 4.5.0 through 4.5.11; 5.0.0 through 5.0.5.
Several Spring WS integration paths with Spring Security could surface detailed account state (for example locked or disabled user semantics) to remote SOAP clients through exception messages or callback outcomes, instead of failing with generic authentication errors. That behavior assists remote attackers in distinguishing valid accounts from invalid ones and inferring lifecycle state. Affected versions: Spring Web Services 5.0.0 through 5.0.1; 4.1.0 through 4.1.3; 4.0.0 through 4.0.18; 3.1.0 through 3.1.8.
IBM Cognos Analytics 11.1.7, 11.2.0, and 11.2.1 could allow a remote attacker to obtain system information without authentication which could be used in reconnaissance to gather information that could be used for future attacks. IBM X-Force ID: 257703.
The raw message of every server-side AuthenticationException is returned to the unauthenticated remote caller in the gRPC status description. This allows an attacker to obtain information about the authentication failure, which may be useful for further attacks. Affected versions: Spring gRPC: 1.0.0 - 1.0.2 (fixed in 1.0.3). Older, unsupported versions are also affected.
Server metadata could be exposed because one of the error messages reflected the whole response back to the client in JetBrains TeamCity versions before 2018.2.5 and UpSource versions before 2018.2 build 1293.
Free5GC is an open-source Linux Foundation project for 5th generation (5G) mobile core networks. In versions prior to 1.4.2, the UDM incorrectly converts a downstream 400 Bad Request (from UDR) into a 500 Internal Server Error when handling PATCH requests with an empty supi path parameter. Additionally, the UDM incorrectly translates the PATCH method to PUT when forwarding to UDR, indicating a deeper architectural issue. This leaks internal error handling behavior, making it difficult for clients to distinguish between client-side errors and server-side failures. The issue has been patched in version 1.4.2.
Free5GC is an open-source Linux Foundation project for 5th generation (5G) mobile core networks. In versions prior to 1.4.2, the UDM incorrectly converts a downstream 400 Bad Request (from UDR) into a 500 Internal Server Error when handling DELETE requests with an empty supi path parameter. This leaks internal error handling behavior and makes it difficult for clients to distinguish between client-side errors and server-side failures. When a client sends a DELETE request with an empty supi (e.g., double slashes // in URL path), the UDM forwards the malformed request to UDR, which correctly returns 400. However, UDM propagates this as 500 SYSTEM_FAILURE instead of returning the appropriate 400 error to the client. This violates REST API best practices for DELETE operations. The issue has been patched in version 1.4.2.
An information exposure vulnerability exists in UniFi Protect before v1.13.4-beta.5 that allowed unauthenticated attackers access to valid usernames for the UniFi Protect web application via HTTP response code and response timing.
In Sulu before versions 1.6.35, 2.0.10, and 2.1.1, when the "Forget password" feature on the login screen is used, Sulu asks the user for a username or email address. If the given string is not found, a response with a `400` error code is returned, along with a error message saying that this user name does not exist. This enables attackers to retrieve valid usernames. Also, the response of the "Forgot Password" request returns the email address to which the email was sent, if the operation was successful. This information should not be exposed, as it can be used to gather email addresses. This problem was fixed in versions 1.6.35, 2.0.10 and 2.1.1.
Parse Server is an open source backend that can be deployed to any infrastructure that can run Node.js. Prior to versions 8.6.7 and 9.5.0-alpha.6, malformed $regex query parameter (e.g. [abc) causes the database to return a structured error object that is passed unsanitized through the API response. This leaks database internals such as error messages, error codes, code names, cluster timestamps, and topology details. The vulnerability is exploitable by any client that can send query requests, depending on the deployment's permission configuration. This issue has been patched in versions 8.6.7 and 9.5.0-alpha.6.
HCL AION is affected by a vulnerability where certain system behaviours may allow exploration of internal filesystem structures. Exposure of such information may provide insights into the underlying environment, which could potentially aid in further targeted actions or limited information disclosure.
Navtor NavBox allows information disclosure via the /api/ais-data endpoint. A remote, unauthenticated attacker can send crafted requests to trigger an unhandled exception, causing the server to return verbose .NET stack traces. These error messages expose internal class names, method calls, and third-party library references (e.g., System.Data.SQLite), which may assist attackers in mapping the application's internal structure.
Moonraker is a Python web server providing API access to Klipper 3D printing firmware. In versions 0.9.3 and below, instances configured with the "ldap" component enabled are vulnerable to LDAP search filter injection techniques via the login endpoint. The 401 error response message can be used to determine whether or not a search was successful, allowing for brute force methods to discover LDAP entries on the server such as user IDs and user attributes. This issue has been fixed in version 0.10.0.
Evoko Home 1.31 devices provide different error messages for failed login requests depending on whether the username is valid.

Generation of Error Message Containing Sensitive Information vulnerability in Apache Camel Netty HTTP component. The camel-netty-http HTTP server consumer exposes a muteException option that controls what is returned to the client when a route processing error occurs. This option defaulted to false because the backing field was an uninitialised primitive boolean (Java's default of false), whereas the other Camel HTTP server components (camel-http / camel-jetty / camel-servlet and camel-platform-http) default it to true. With muteException=false, when a request triggers an exception during route processing the consumer writes the full Throwable stack trace into the HTTP response body as text/plain (via DefaultNettyHttpBinding) instead of returning an empty body. For deployments that cannot upgrade immediately, set muteException=true explicitly on the camel-netty-http consumer (for example netty-http: http://0.0.0.0:8080/api?muteException=true , or globally via the camel.component.netty-http.configuration.mute-exception=true property), so that processing errors no longer return the stack trace to the client.
IBM Security Verify Information Queue 10.0.4 and 10.0.5 could allow a remote attacker to obtain sensitive information that could aid in further attacks against the system. IBM X-force ID: 256014.
HashiCorp Vault and Vault Enterprise 1.4.1 and newer allowed the enumeration of users via the LDAP auth method. Fixed in 1.5.6 and 1.6.1.
Information disclosure vulnerability in error handling in MiR software prior to version 3.0.0 allows unauthenticated attackers to view detailed error information, such as file paths and other data, via access to verbose error pages.
Hitachi Vantara Pentaho Data Integration and Analytics Community Dashboard Framework prior to versions 10.2.0.4, including 9.3.0.x and 8.3.x display the full server stack trace when encountering an error within the GetCdfResource servlet.
free5GC UDR is the user data repository (UDR) for free5GC, an an open-source project for 5th generation (5G) mobile core networks. Versions prior to 1.4.1 contain an Improper Error Handling vulnerability with Information Exposure. All deployments of free5GC using the Nnef_PfdManagement service may be affected. The NEF component reliably leaks internal parsing errors (e.g., invalid character 'n' after top-level value) to remote clients. This can aid attackers in fingerprinting server software and logic flows. Version 1.4.1 fixes the issue. There is no direct workaround at the application level. The recommended mitigation is to apply the provided patch.
