OrangeScrum version 2.0.11 allows an authenticated external attacker to delete arbitrary local files from the server. This is possible because the application uses an unsanitized attacker-controlled parameter to construct an internal path.
emlog through 6.0.0beta allows remote authenticated users to delete arbitrary files via admin/template.php?action=del&tpl=../ directory traversal.
The WP User Frontend Pro plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to arbitrary file deletion due to insufficient file path validation in the delete_avatar_ajax() function in all versions up to, and including, 4.1.3. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with Subscriber-level access and above, to delete arbitrary files on the server, which can easily lead to remote code execution when the right file is deleted (such as wp-config.php).
The insert-or-embed-articulate-content-into-wordpress plugin before 4.29991 for WordPress has insufficient restrictions on deleting or renaming by a Subscriber.
A path traversal vulnerability in Jenkins Support Core Plugin 2.63 and earlier allows attackers with Overall/Read permission to delete arbitrary files on the Jenkins master.
HongCMS 3.0.0 allows arbitrary file deletion via a ../ in the file parameter to admin/index.php/database/ajax?action=delete, a similar issue to CVE-2018-16774. (If the attacker deletes config.php and visits install/index.php, they can reinstall the product.)
Apache Karaf Config service provides a install method (via service or MBean) that could be used to travel in any directory and overwrite existing file. The vulnerability is low if the Karaf process user has limited permission on the filesystem. Any Apache Karaf version before 4.2.5 is impacted. User should upgrade to Apache Karaf 4.2.5 or later.
MikroTik RouterOS through 6.44.5 and 6.45.x through 6.45.3 improperly handles the disk name, which allows authenticated users to delete arbitrary files. Attackers can exploit this vulnerability to reset credential storage, which allows them access to the management interface as an administrator without authentication.

The Simple:Press plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Path Traversal in versions up to, and including, 6.8 via the 'file' parameter which can be manipulated during user avatar deletion. This makes it possible with attackers, with minimal permissions such as a subscriber, to supply paths to arbitrary files on the server that will subsequently be deleted. This can be used to delete the wp-config.php file that can allow an attacker to configure the site and achieve remote code execution.
A directory traversal vulnerability exists in the httpd delfile.cgi functionality of Siretta QUARTZ-GOLD G5.0.1.5-210720-141020. A specially-crafted HTTP request can lead to arbitrary file deletion. An attacker can send an HTTP request to trigger this vulnerability.
Versions of the npm CLI prior to 6.13.4 are vulnerable to an Arbitrary File Overwrite. It fails to prevent existing globally-installed binaries to be overwritten by other package installations. For example, if a package was installed globally and created a serve binary, any subsequent installs of packages that also create a serve binary would overwrite the previous serve binary. This behavior is still allowed in local installations and also through install scripts. This vulnerability bypasses a user using the --ignore-scripts install option.

The OMGF WordPress plugin before 4.5.4 does not enforce path validation, authorisation and CSRF checks in the omgf_ajax_empty_dir AJAX action, which allows any authenticated users to delete arbitrary files or folders on the server.
An authenticated path traversal vulnerability exists in the ArubaOS command line interface. Successful exploitation of the vulnerability results in the ability to delete arbitrary files on the underlying operating system.
Specially-crafted command line arguments can lead to arbitrary file deletion. The handle_delete function does not attempt to sanitize or otherwise validate the contents of the [file] parameter (passed to the function as argv[1]), allowing an authenticated attacker to supply directory traversal primitives and delete semi-arbitrary files.
Sudo-rs, a memory safe implementation of sudo and su, allows users to not have to enter authentication at every sudo attempt, but instead only requiring authentication every once in a while in every terminal or process group. Only once a configurable timeout has passed will the user have to re-authenticate themselves. Supporting this functionality is a set of session files (timestamps) for each user, stored in `/var/run/sudo-rs/ts`. These files are named according to the username from which the sudo attempt is made (the origin user). An issue was discovered in versions prior to 0.2.1 where usernames containing the `.` and `/` characters could result in the corruption of specific files on the filesystem. As usernames are generally not limited by the characters they can contain, a username appearing to be a relative path can be constructed. For example we could add a user to the system containing the username `../../../../bin/cp`. When logged in as a user with that name, that user could run `sudo -K` to clear their session record file. The session code then constructs the path to the session file by concatenating the username to the session file storage directory, resulting in a resolved path of `/bin/cp`. The code then clears that file, resulting in the `cp` binary effectively being removed from the system. An attacker needs to be able to login as a user with a constructed username. Given that such a username is unlikely to exist on an existing system, they will also need to be able to create the users with the constructed usernames. The issue is patched in version 0.2.1 of sudo-rs. Sudo-rs now uses the uid for the user instead of their username for determining the filename. Note that an upgrade to this version will result in existing session files being ignored and users will be forced to re-authenticate. It also fully eliminates any possibility of path traversal, given that uids are always integer values. The `sudo -K` and `sudo -k` commands can run, even if a user has no sudo access. As a workaround, make sure that one's system does not contain any users with a specially crafted username. While this is the case and while untrusted users do not have the ability to create arbitrary users on the system, one should not be able to exploit this issue.
The Perfmatters plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to arbitrary file deletion via path traversal in all versions up to, and including, 2.5.9.1. This is due to the `PMCS::action_handler()` method processing the `$_GET['delete']` parameter without any sanitization, authorization check, or nonce verification. The unsanitized filename is concatenated with the storage directory path and passed to `unlink()`. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with Subscriber-level access and above, to delete arbitrary files on the server by using `../` path traversal sequences, including `wp-config.php` which would force WordPress into the installation wizard and allow full site takeover.
A vulnerability in Pulse Connect Secure before 9.1R12 could allow an authenticated administrator to perform an arbitrary file delete via a maliciously crafted web request.
Specially-crafted command line arguments can lead to arbitrary file deletion in the del .cnt|.log file delete command. An attacker can provide malicious inputs to trigger this vulnerability
The Perfmatters plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to arbitrary file overwrite via path traversal in all versions up to, and including, 2.5.9. This is due to the `PMCS::action_handler()` method processing the bulk action `activate`/`deactivate` handlers without any authorization check or nonce verification. The `$_GET['snippets'][]` values are passed unsanitized to `Snippet::activate()`/`Snippet::deactivate()` which call `Snippet::update()` then `file_put_contents()` with the traversed path. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with Subscriber-level access and above, to overwrite arbitrary files on the server with a fixed PHP docblock content, potentially causing denial of service by corrupting critical files like `.htaccess` or `index.php`.
A vulnerability has been found in SSCMS 4.7.0. The affected element is an unknown function of the file LayerImageController.Submit.cs of the component layerImage Endpoint. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with Subscriber-level access and above, to delete arbitrary folders on the server, which can easily lead to a loss of data or a denial of service condition.
An attacker with non-administrative authorizations in SAP NetWeaver (BI CONT ADD ON) - versions 707, 737, 747, 757, can exploit a directory traversal flaw to over-write system files. Data from confidential files cannot be read but potentially some OS files can be over-written leading to system compromise.
Fireshare facilitates self-hosted media and link sharing. In version 1.5.1, an authenticated path traversal vulnerability in Fireshare’s chunked upload endpoint allows an attacker to write arbitrary files outside the intended upload directory. The `checkSum` multipart field is used directly in filesystem path construction without sanitization or containment checks. This enables unauthorized file writes to attacker-chosen paths writable by the Fireshare process (e.g., container `/tmp`), violating integrity and potentially enabling follow-on attacks depending on deployment. Version 1.5.2 fixes the issue.
A vulnerability has been found in CmsEasy 7.7.7.9 and classified as problematic. Affected by this vulnerability is the function deleteimg_action in the library lib/admin/image_admin.php.
