An issue was discovered in rust-ffmpeg 0.3.0 (after comit 5ac0527) An integer overflow vulnerability in the Vector::new constructor function allows an attacker to cause a denial of service via a null pointer dereference. The vulnerability stems from an unchecked cast of a usize parameter to c_int, which can result in a negative value being passed to the underlying C function sws_allocVec().
An issue was discovered in rust-ffmpeg 0.3.0 (after comit 5ac0527) A null pointer dereference vulnerability in the input() constructor function allows an attacker to cause a denial of service. The vulnerability is triggered when the avio_alloc_context() call fails and returns NULL, which is then stored and later dereferenced by the Io struct's Drop implementation.
An issue was discovered in rust-ffmpeg 0.3.0 (after comit 5ac0527) Null pointer dereference vulnerability in the name() method allows an attacker to cause a denial of service. The vulnerability exists because the method fails to check for a NULL return value from the av_get_sample_fmt_name() C function, which can be triggered by providing an unrecognized sample format.
An issue was discovered in rust-ffmpeg 0.3.0 (after comit 5ac0527) Integer overflow and invalid input vulnerability in the cached method allows an attacker to cause a denial of service or potentially execute arbitrary code. The vulnerability occurs when dimension parameters are zero or exceed i32::MAX, leading to an unchecked cast that violates the underlying C function's preconditions and triggers undefined behavior.
FreeRDP is a free implementation of the Remote Desktop Protocol. ainput_send_input_event caches channel_callback in a local variable and later uses it without synchronization; a concurrent channel close can free or reinitialize the callback, leading to a use after free. Prior to 3.22.0, This vulnerability is fixed in 3.22.0.
FreeRDP is a free implementation of the Remote Desktop Protocol. Prior to 3.22.0, urb_select_interface can free the device's MS config on error but later code still dereferences it, leading to a use after free in libusb_udev_select_interface. This vulnerability is fixed in 3.22.0.
An issue was discovered in the libpulse-binding crate before 1.2.1 for Rust. get_context can cause a use-after-free.
Envoy is an open source L7 proxy and communication bus designed for large modern service oriented architectures. In affected versions after Envoy sends a locally generated response it must stop further processing of request or response data. However when local response is generated due the internal buffer overflow while request or response is processed by the filter chain the operation may not be stopped completely and result in accessing a freed memory block. A specifically constructed request delivered by an untrusted downstream or upstream peer in the presence of extensions that modify and increase the size of request or response bodies resulting in a Denial of Service when using extensions that modify and increase the size of request or response bodies, such as decompressor filter. Envoy versions 1.19.1, 1.18.4, 1.17.4, 1.16.5 contain fixes to address incomplete termination of request processing after locally generated response. As a workaround disable Envoy's decompressor, json-transcoder or grpc-web extensions or proprietary extensions that modify and increase the size of request or response bodies, if feasible.
dpic 2021.01.01 has a Heap Use-After-Free in thedeletestringbox() function in dpic.y.
Use-after-free vulnerability in Open Litespeed before 1.3.10.
FreeRDP is a free implementation of the Remote Desktop Protocol. Prior to 3.22.0, video_timer can send client notifications after the control channel is closed, dereferencing a freed callback and triggering a use after free. This vulnerability is fixed in 3.22.0.
FreeRDP is a free implementation of the Remote Desktop Protocol. Prior to 3.22.0, aAsynchronous bulk transfer completions can use a freed channel callback after URBDRC channel close, leading to a use after free in urb_write_completion. This vulnerability is fixed in 3.22.0.
FreeRDP is a free implementation of the Remote Desktop Protocol. Prior to 3.22.0, A capture thread sends sample responses using a freed channel callback after a device channel close, leading to a use after free in ecam_channel_write. This vulnerability is fixed in 3.22.0.
FreeRDP is a free implementation of the Remote Desktop Protocol. Prior to 3.22.0, the RDPSND async playback thread can process queued PDUs after the channel is closed and internal state is freed, leading to a use after free in rdpsnd_treat_wave. This vulnerability is fixed in 3.22.0.
FreeRDP is a free implementation of the Remote Desktop Protocol. Prior to 3.22.0, sdl_Pointer_New frees data on failure, then pointer_free calls sdl_Pointer_Free and frees it again, triggering ASan UAF. This vulnerability is fixed in 3.22.0.
FreeRDP is a free implementation of the Remote Desktop Protocol. Prior to 3.22.0, AUDIN format renegotiation frees the active format list while the capture thread continues using audin->format, leading to a use after free in audio_format_compatible. This vulnerability is fixed in 3.22.0.
An unauthenticated attacker can cause a denial-of-service to the following products: Ivanti Connect Secure (ICS) in versions prior to 9.1R14.3, 9.1R15.2, 9.1R16.2, and 22.2R4, Ivanti Policy Secure (IPS) in versions prior to 9.1R17 and 22.3R1, and Ivanti Neurons for Zero-Trust Access in versions prior to 22.3R1.

In Eclipse Mosquitto up to version 2.0.18a, an attacker can achieve memory leaking, segmentation fault or heap-use-after-free by sending specific sequences of "CONNECT", "DISCONNECT", "SUBSCRIBE", "UNSUBSCRIBE" and "PUBLISH" packets.
Memory corruption in the networking stack could have led to a potentially exploitable crash. This vulnerability affects Firefox < 125, Firefox ESR < 115.12, and Thunderbird < 115.12.
Use-after-free vulnerability in Sendmail before 8.13.8 allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (crash) via a long "header line", which causes a previously freed variable to be referenced. NOTE: the original developer has disputed the severity of this issue, saying "The only denial of service that is possible here is to fill up the disk with core dumps if the OS actually generates different core dumps (which is unlikely)... the bug is in the shutdown code (finis()) which leads directly to exit(3), i.e., the process would terminate anyway, no mail delivery or receiption is affected."
Use after free in endpoint destructors in Redboltz async_mqtt 10.2.5 allows local users to cause a denial of service via triggering SSL initialization failure that results in incorrect destruction order between io_context and endpoint objects.
MariaDB v10.4 to v10.7 was discovered to contain an use-after-poison in prepare_inplace_add_virtual at /storage/innobase/handler/handler0alter.cc.
OpenEXR provides the specification and reference implementation of the EXR file format, an image storage format for the motion picture industry. In versions 3.2.0 through 3.2.4, 3.3.0 through 3.3.5, and 3.4.0 through 3.4.2, there is a use-after-free in PyObject_StealAttrString of pyOpenEXR_old.cpp. The legacy adapter defines PyObject_StealAttrString that calls PyObject_GetAttrString to obtain a new reference, immediately decrefs it, and returns the pointer. Callers then pass this dangling pointer to APIs like PyLong_AsLong/PyFloat_AsDouble, resulting in a use-after-free. This is invoked in multiple places (e.g., reading PixelType.v, Box2i, V2f, etc.) Versions 3.2.5, 3.3.6, and 3.4.3 fix the issue.
Windows SMB Denial of Service Vulnerability
An attacker could have caused a use-after-free when accessibility was enabled, leading to a potentially exploitable crash. This vulnerability affects Firefox < 132, Firefox ESR < 128.4, Firefox ESR < 115.17, Thunderbird < 128.4, and Thunderbird < 132.
Envoy is an open source edge and service proxy. Envoy versions earlier than 1.36.2, 1.35.6, 1.34.10, and 1.33.12 contain a use-after-free vulnerability in the Lua filter. When a Lua script executing in the response phase rewrites a response body so that its size exceeds the configured per_connection_buffer_limit_bytes (default 1MB), Envoy generates a local reply whose headers override the original response headers, leaving dangling references and causing a crash. This results in denial of service. Updating to versions 1.36.2, 1.35.6, 1.34.10, or 1.33.12 fixes the issue. Increasing per_connection_buffer_limit_bytes (and for HTTP/2 the initial_stream_window_size) or increasing per_request_buffer_limit_bytes / request_body_buffer_limit can reduce the likelihood of triggering the condition but does not correct the underlying memory safety flaw.
An issue was discovered in the libpulse-binding crate before 1.2.1 for Rust. get_format_info can cause a use-after-free.
MariaDB v10.7 was discovered to contain an use-after-poison in in __interceptor_memset at /libsanitizer/sanitizer_common/sanitizer_common_interceptors.inc.
rAthena is an open-source cross-platform MMORPG server. A use-after-free vulnerability exists in the RODEX functionality of rAthena's map-server in versions prior to commit af2f3ba. An unauthenticated attacker can exploit this vulnerability via a specific attacking scenario to cause a denial of service by crashing the map-server. This issue has been patched in commit af2f3ba. There are no known workarounds aside from manually applying the patch.
Sending a flood of dynamic DNS updates may cause `named` to allocate large amounts of memory. This, in turn, may cause `named` to exit due to a lack of free memory. We are not aware of any cases where this has been exploited. Memory is allocated prior to the checking of access permissions (ACLs) and is retained during the processing of a dynamic update from a client whose access credentials are accepted. Memory allocated to clients that are not permitted to send updates is released immediately upon rejection. The scope of this vulnerability is limited therefore to trusted clients who are permitted to make dynamic zone changes. If a dynamic update is REFUSED, memory will be released again very quickly. Therefore it is only likely to be possible to degrade or stop `named` by sending a flood of unaccepted dynamic updates comparable in magnitude to a query flood intended to achieve the same detrimental outcome. BIND 9.11 and earlier branches are also affected, but through exhaustion of internal resources rather than memory constraints. This may reduce performance but should not be a significant problem for most servers. Therefore we don't intend to address this for BIND versions prior to BIND 9.16. This issue affects BIND 9 versions 9.16.0 through 9.16.36, 9.18.0 through 9.18.10, 9.19.0 through 9.19.8, and 9.16.8-S1 through 9.16.36-S1.
Envoy is a cloud-native high-performance edge/middle/service proxy. In versions prior to 1.22.1 if Envoy attempts to send an internal redirect of an HTTP request consisting of more than HTTP headers, there’s a lifetime bug which can be triggered. If while replaying the request Envoy sends a local reply when the redirect headers are processed, the downstream state indicates that the downstream stream is not complete. On sending the local reply, Envoy will attempt to reset the upstream stream, but as it is actually complete, and deleted, this result in a use-after-free. Users are advised to upgrade. Users unable to upgrade are advised to disable internal redirects if crashes are observed.

Open Robotics Robotic Operating System 2 (ROS2) and Nav2 humble version was discovered to contain a use-after-free in the nav2_amcl process. This vulnerability is triggered via sending a request to change dynamic parameters.
Squid is a caching proxy for the Web supporting HTTP, HTTPS, FTP, and more. Affected versions of squid are subject to a a Use-After-Free bug which can lead to a Denial of Service attack via collapsed forwarding. All versions of Squid from 3.5 up to and including 5.9 configured with "collapsed_forwarding on" are vulnerable. Configurations with "collapsed_forwarding off" or without a "collapsed_forwarding" directive are not vulnerable. This bug is fixed by Squid version 6.0.1. Users are advised to upgrade. Users unable to upgrade should remove all collapsed_forwarding lines from their squid.conf.
libmodbus v3.1.6 was discovered to contain a use-after-free via the ctx->backend pointer. This vulnerability allows attackers to cause a Denial of Service (DoS) via a crafted message sent to the unit-test-server.
Affected devices improperly handle specially crafted packets sent to port 102/tcp. This could allow an attacker to create a denial of service condition. A restart is needed to restore normal operations.
There is a Memory Buffer Improper Operation Limit Vulnerability in Huawei Smartphone. Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may cause the device to crash and restart.
There is a Memory Buffer Improper Operation Limit Vulnerability in Huawei Smartphone. Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may cause the kernel to restart.
Envoy is an open source L7 proxy and communication bus designed for large modern service oriented architectures. Versions 1.34.0 through 1.34.4 and 1.35.0 contain a use-after-free (UAF) vulnerability in the DNS cache, causing abnormal process termination. The vulnerability is in Envoy's Dynamic Forward Proxy implementation, occurring when a completion callback for a DNS resolution triggers new DNS resolutions or removes existing pending resolutions. This condition may occur when the following conditions are met: dynamic Forwarding Filter is enabled, the `envoy.reloadable_features.dfp_cluster_resolves_hosts` runtime flag is enabled, and the Host header is modified between the Dynamic Forwarding Filter and Router filters. This issue is resolved in versions 1.34.5 and 1.35.1. To work around this issue, set the envoy.reloadable_features.dfp_cluster_resolves_hosts runtime flag to false.
Vulnerability of returning released pointers in the distributed notification service. Impact: Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may affect availability.
A Use After Free vulnerability in the routing protocol daemon (rpd) of Juniper Networks Junos OS and Juniper Networks Junos OS Evolved allows an attacker sending a BGP update with a specifically malformed AS PATH to cause rpd to crash, resulting in a Denial of Service (DoS). Continuous receipt of the malformed AS PATH attribute will cause a sustained DoS condition. On all Junos OS and Junos OS Evolved platforms, the rpd process will crash and restart when a specifically malformed AS PATH is received within a BGP update and traceoptions are enabled. This issue only affects systems with BGP traceoptions enabled and requires a BGP session to be already established. Systems without BGP traceoptions enabled are not impacted by this issue. This issue affects: Junos OS: * All versions before 21.2R3-S9, * all versions of 21.4, * from 22.2 before 22.2R3-S6, * from 22.4 before 22.4R3-S5, * from 23.2 before 23.2R2-S3, * from 23.4 before 23.4R2-S4, * from 24.2 before 24.2R2; Junos OS Evolved: * All versions before 22.4R3-S5-EVO, * from 23.2-EVO before 23.2R2-S3-EVO, * from 23.4-EVO before 23.4R2-S4-EVO, * from 24.2-EVO before 24.2R2-EVO. This is a more complete fix for previously published CVE-2024-39549 (JSA83011).
