In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: bpf: Fix DEVMAP_HASH overflow check on 32-bit arches The devmap code allocates a number hash buckets equal to the next power of two of the max_entries value provided when creating the map. When rounding up to the next power of two, the 32-bit variable storing the number of buckets can overflow, and the code checks for overflow by checking if the truncated 32-bit value is equal to 0. However, on 32-bit arches the rounding up itself can overflow mid-way through, because it ends up doing a left-shift of 32 bits on an unsigned long value. If the size of an unsigned long is four bytes, this is undefined behaviour, so there is no guarantee that we'll end up with a nice and tidy 0-value at the end. Syzbot managed to turn this into a crash on arm32 by creating a DEVMAP_HASH with max_entries > 0x80000000 and then trying to update it. Fix this by moving the overflow check to before the rounding up operation.
A vulnerability has been found in GNU LibreDWG up to 0.13.4. The affected element is the function dwg_bmp of the file src/dwg.c of the component BMP Image Handler. Such manipulation leads to heap-based buffer overflow. The attack must be carried out locally. The exploit has been disclosed to the public and may be used. Upgrading to version 0.14 is sufficient to fix this issue. The name of the patch is 18fd542bb4d5ccedf9de12052bf50068b2b26f06. It is suggested to upgrade the affected component.
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: bpf: Fix stackmap overflow check on 32-bit arches The stackmap code relies on roundup_pow_of_two() to compute the number of hash buckets, and contains an overflow check by checking if the resulting value is 0. However, on 32-bit arches, the roundup code itself can overflow by doing a 32-bit left-shift of an unsigned long value, which is undefined behaviour, so it is not guaranteed to truncate neatly. This was triggered by syzbot on the DEVMAP_HASH type, which contains the same check, copied from the hashtab code. The commit in the fixes tag actually attempted to fix this, but the fix did not account for the UB, so the fix only works on CPUs where an overflow does result in a neat truncation to zero, which is not guaranteed. Checking the value before rounding does not have this problem.
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: bpf: Fix hashtab overflow check on 32-bit arches The hashtab code relies on roundup_pow_of_two() to compute the number of hash buckets, and contains an overflow check by checking if the resulting value is 0. So apply the same fix to hashtab, by moving the overflow check to before the roundup.
A flaw was found in the bash package, where a heap-buffer overflow can occur in valid parameter_transform. This issue may lead to memory problems.

A buffer overflow was discovered in the GNU C Library's dynamic loader ld.so while processing the GLIBC_TUNABLES environment variable. This issue could allow a local attacker to use maliciously crafted GLIBC_TUNABLES environment variables when launching binaries with SUID permission to execute code with elevated privileges.
An out-of-bounds write flaw was found in grub2's NTFS filesystem driver. This issue may allow an attacker to present a specially crafted NTFS filesystem image, leading to grub's heap metadata corruption. In some circumstances, the attack may also corrupt the UEFI firmware heap metadata. As a result, arbitrary code execution and secure boot protection bypass may be achieved.
A flaw was found in linux-pam. The module pam_namespace may use access user-controlled paths without proper protection, allowing local users to elevate their privileges to root via multiple symlink attacks and race conditions.
The Linux kernel before 6.5.4 has an es1 use-after-free in fs/ext4/extents_status.c, related to ext4_es_insert_extent.
A vulnerability has been identified in QMS Automotive (All versions < V12.39). The QMS.Mobile module of the affected application uses weak outdated application signing mechanism. This could allow an attacker to tamper the application code.
A vulnerability has been identified in Spectrum Power 7 (All versions < V23Q3). The affected product assigns improper access rights to the update script. This could allow an authenticated local attacker to inject arbitrary code and escalate privileges.
A vulnerability has been identified in CP-8031 MASTER MODULE (All versions < CPCI85 V05.11 (only with activated debug support)), CP-8050 MASTER MODULE (All versions < CPCI85 V05.11 (only with activated debug support)). The affected devices contain a hard-coded ID in the SSH `authorized_keys` configuration file. An attacker with knowledge of the corresponding private key could login to the device via SSH. Only devices with activated debug support are affected.
A vulnerability has been identified in SIMATIC PCS 7 V8.2 and earlier (All versions), SIMATIC PCS 7 V9.0 (All versions < V9.0 SP3), SIMATIC PDM (All versions < V9.2), SIMATIC STEP 7 V5.X (All versions < V5.6 SP2 HF3), SINAMICS STARTER (containing STEP 7 OEM version) (All versions < V5.4 HF2). A DLL Hijacking vulnerability could allow a local attacker to execute code with elevated privileges. The security vulnerability could be exploited by an attacker with local access to the affected systems. Successful exploitation requires user privileges but no user interaction. The vulnerability could allow an attacker to compromise the availability of the system as well as to have access to confidential information.
A vulnerability has been identified in SIMATIC WinCC (All versions < V7.5.2.13). Affected applications fail to set proper access rights for their installation folder if a non-default installation path was chosen during installation. This could allow an authenticated local attacker to inject arbitrary code and escalate privileges.
ncurses before 6.4 20230408, when used by a setuid application, allows local users to trigger security-relevant memory corruption via malformed data in a terminfo database file that is found in $HOME/.terminfo or reached via the TERMINFO or TERM environment variable.
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: skbuff: preserve shared-frag marker during coalescing skb_try_coalesce() can attach paged frags from @from to @to. If @from has SKBFL_SHARED_FRAG set, the resulting @to skb can contain the same externally-owned or page-cache-backed frags, but the shared-frag marker is currently lost. That breaks the invariant relied on by later in-place writers. In particular, ESP input checks skb_has_shared_frag() before deciding whether an uncloned nonlinear skb can skip skb_cow_data(). If TCP receive coalescing has moved shared frags into an unmarked skb, ESP can see skb_has_shared_frag() as false and decrypt in place over page-cache backed frags. Propagate SKBFL_SHARED_FRAG when skb_try_coalesce() transfers paged frags. The tailroom copy path does not need the marker because it copies bytes into @to's linear data rather than transferring frag descriptors.
A vulnerability has been identified in SINEC INS (All versions < V1.0 SP2 Update 6). The affected system includes a binary that is configured with the cap_dac_override capability. This capability allows the process to bypass file system permission checks, resulting in unrestricted file system access. This could allow a local attacker to escalate privileges leading to arbitrary file modification and gaining root privileges on the system.
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ptrace: slightly saner 'get_dumpable()' logic The 'dumpability' of a task is fundamentally about the memory image of the task - the concept comes from whether it can core dump or not - and makes no sense when you don't have an associated mm. And almost all users do in fact use it only for the case where the task has a mm pointer. But we have one odd special case: ptrace_may_access() uses 'dumpable' to check various other things entirely independently of the MM (typically explicitly using flags like PTRACE_MODE_READ_FSCREDS). Including for threads that no longer have a VM (and maybe never did, like most kernel threads). It's not what this flag was designed for, but it is what it is. The ptrace code does check that the uid/gid matches, so you do have to be uid-0 to see kernel thread details, but this means that the traditional "drop capabilities" model doesn't make any difference for this all. Make it all make a *bit* more sense by saying that if you don't have a MM pointer, we'll use a cached "last dumpability" flag if the thread ever had a MM (it will be zero for kernel threads since it is never set), and require a proper CAP_SYS_PTRACE capability to override.
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: atm: atmtcp: Prevent arbitrary write in atmtcp_recv_control(). syzbot reported the splat below. [0] When atmtcp_v_open() or atmtcp_v_close() is called via connect() or close(), atmtcp_send_control() is called to send an in-kernel special message. The message has ATMTCP_HDR_MAGIC in atmtcp_control.hdr.length. Also, a pointer of struct atm_vcc is set to atmtcp_control.vcc. The notable thing is struct atmtcp_control is uAPI but has a space for an in-kernel pointer. struct atmtcp_control { struct atmtcp_hdr hdr; /* must be first */ ... atm_kptr_t vcc; /* both directions */ ... } __ATM_API_ALIGN; typedef struct { unsigned char _[8]; } __ATM_API_ALIGN atm_kptr_t; The special message is processed in atmtcp_recv_control() called from atmtcp_c_send(). atmtcp_c_send() is vcc->dev->ops->send() and called from 2 paths: 1. .ndo_start_xmit() (vcc->send() == atm_send_aal0()) 2. vcc_sendmsg() The problem is sendmsg() does not validate the message length and userspace can abuse atmtcp_recv_control() to overwrite any kptr by atmtcp_control. Let's add a new ->pre_send() hook to validate messages from sendmsg(). In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: netfilter: nf_conntrack_helper: pass helper to expect cleanup nf_conntrack_helper_unregister() calls nf_ct_expect_iterate_destroy() to remove expectations belonging to the helper being unregistered. However, it passes NULL instead of the helper pointer as the data argument, so expect_iter_me() never matches any expectation and all of them survive the cleanup. After unregister returns, nfnl_cthelper_del() frees the helper object immediately. Subsequent expectation dumps or packet-driven init_conntrack() calls then dereference the freed exp->helper, causing a use-after-free. Pass the actual helper pointer so expectations referencing it are properly destroyed before the helper object is freed. A use-after-free vulnerability in the Linux kernel's ipv4: igmp component can be exploited to achieve local privilege escalation. A race condition can be exploited to cause a timer be mistakenly registered on a RCU read locked object which is freed by another thread. We recommend upgrading past commit e2b706c691905fe78468c361aaabc719d0a496f1.
A use-after-free vulnerability in the Linux kernel's netfilter: nf_tables component can be exploited to achieve local privilege escalation. The function nft_pipapo_walk did not skip inactive elements during set walk which could lead double deactivations of PIPAPO (Pile Packet Policies) elements, leading to use-after-free. We recommend upgrading past commit 317eb9685095678f2c9f5a8189de698c5354316a.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: macb: use the current queue number for stats There's a potential mismatch between the memory reserved for statistics and the amount of memory written. gem_get_sset_count() correctly computes the number of stats based on the active queues, whereas gem_get_ethtool_stats() indiscriminately copies data using the maximum number of queues, and in the case the number of active queues is less than MACB_MAX_QUEUES, this results in a OOB write as observed in the KASAN splat. ================================================================== BUG: KASAN: vmalloc-out-of-bounds in gem_get_ethtool_stats+0x54/0x78 [macb] Write of size 760 at addr ffff80008080b000 by task ethtool/1027 CPU: [...] Tainted: [E]=UNSIGNED_MODULE Hardware name: raspberrypi rpi/rpi, BIOS 2025.10 10/01/2025 Call trace: show_stack+0x20/0x38 (C) dump_stack_lvl+0x80/0xf8 print_report+0x384/0x5e0 kasan_report+0xa0/0xf0 kasan_check_range+0xe8/0x190 __asan_memcpy+0x54/0x98 gem_get_ethtool_stats+0x54/0x78 [macb 926c13f3af83b0c6fe64badb21ec87d5e93fcf65] dev_ethtool+0x1220/0x38c0 dev_ioctl+0x4ac/0xca8 sock_do_ioctl+0x170/0x1d8 sock_ioctl+0x484/0x5d8 __arm64_sys_ioctl+0x12c/0x1b8 invoke_syscall+0xd4/0x258 el0_svc_common.constprop.0+0xb4/0x240 do_el0_svc+0x48/0x68 el0_svc+0x40/0xf8 el0t_64_sync_handler+0xa0/0xe8 el0t_64_sync+0x1b0/0x1b8 The buggy address belongs to a 1-page vmalloc region starting at 0xffff80008080b000 allocated at dev_ethtool+0x11f0/0x38c0 The buggy address belongs to the physical page: page: refcount:1 mapcount:0 mapping:0000000000000000 index:0xffff00000a333000 pfn:0xa333 flags: 0x7fffc000000000(node=0|zone=0|lastcpupid=0x1ffff) raw: 007fffc000000000 0000000000000000 dead000000000122 0000000000000000 raw: ffff00000a333000 0000000000000000 00000001ffffffff 0000000000000000 page dumped because: kasan: bad access detected Memory state around the buggy address: ffff80008080b080: 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 ffff80008080b100: 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 >ffff80008080b180: 00 00 00 00 00 f8 f8 f8 f8 f8 f8 f8 f8 f8 f8 f8 ^ ffff80008080b200: f8 f8 f8 f8 f8 f8 f8 f8 f8 f8 f8 f8 f8 f8 f8 f8 ffff80008080b280: f8 f8 f8 f8 f8 f8 f8 f8 f8 f8 f8 f8 f8 f8 f8 f8 ================================================================== Fix it by making sure the copied size only considers the active number of queues.
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: topology: Keep the cpumask unchanged when printing cpumap During fuzz testing, the following warning was discovered: different return values (15 and 11) from vsnprintf("%*pbl ", ...) test:keyward is WARNING in kvasprintf WARNING: CPU: 55 PID: 1168477 at lib/kasprintf.c:30 kvasprintf+0x121/0x130 Call Trace: kvasprintf+0x121/0x130 kasprintf+0xa6/0xe0 bitmap_print_to_buf+0x89/0x100 core_siblings_list_read+0x7e/0xb0 kernfs_file_read_iter+0x15b/0x270 new_sync_read+0x153/0x260 vfs_read+0x215/0x290 ksys_read+0xb9/0x160 do_syscall_64+0x56/0x100 entry_SYSCALL_64_after_hwframe+0x78/0xe2 The call trace shows that kvasprintf() reported this warning during the printing of core_siblings_list. kvasprintf() has several steps: (1) First, calculate the length of the resulting formatted string. (2) Allocate a buffer based on the returned length. (3) Then, perform the actual string formatting. (4) Check whether the lengths of the formatted strings returned in steps (1) and (2) are consistent. If the core_cpumask is modified between steps (1) and (3), the lengths obtained in these two steps may not match. Indeed our test includes cpu hotplugging, which should modify core_cpumask while printing. To fix this issue, cache the cpumask into a temporary variable before calling cpumap_print_{list, cpumask}_to_buf(), to keep it unchanged during the printing process.
A vulnerability has been identified in SIMARIS configuration (All versions < V4.0.1). During installation to default target folder, incorrect permissions are configured for the application folder and subfolders which could allow an attacker to gain persistence or potentially escalate privileges should a user with elevated credentials log onto the machine.
A vulnerability has been identified in SCALANCE LPE9403 (6GK5998-3GS00-2AC2) (All versions < V4.0 HF0). Affected devices are vulnerable to a stack-based buffer overflow. This could allow a non-privileged local attacker to execute arbitrary code on the device or to cause a denial of service condition.
A vulnerability has been identified in Altair Grid Engine (All versions < V2026.0.0). Affected products do not properly validate environment variables when loading shared libraries, allowing path hijacking through malicious library substitution. This could allow a local attacker to execute arbitrary code with superuser privileges by manipulating the environment variable and placing a malicious library in the controlled path.
