`osctrl-admin` has Stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) in On-Demand Query List

osctrl is an osquery management solution. Prior to version 0.5.0, a stored cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability exists in the `osctrl-admin` on-demand query list. A user with query-level permissions can inject arbitrary JavaScript via the query parameter when running an on-demand query. The payload is stored and executes in the browser of any user (including administrators) who visits the query list page. This can be chained with CSRF token extraction to escalate privileges and take actions as the logged in user. An attacker with query-level permissions (the lowest privilege tier) can execute arbitrary JavaScript in the browsers of all users who view the query list. Depending on their level of access, it can lead to full platform compromise if an administrator executes the payload. The issue is fixed in osctrl `v0.5.0`. As a workaround, restrict query-level permissions to trusted users, monitor query list for suspicious payloads, and/or review osctrl user accounts for unauthorized administrators.

Rucio WebUI has a Stored Cross-site Scripting (XSS) Vulnerability in its Custom RSE Attribute

Rucio is a software framework that provides functionality to organize, manage, and access large volumes of scientific data using customizable policies. Versions prior to 35.8.3, 38.5.4, and 39.3.1 have a stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability in the Custom RSE Attribute of the WebUI where attacker-controlled input is persisted by the backend and later rendered in the WebUI without proper output encoding. This allows arbitrary JavaScript execution in the context of the WebUI for users who view affected pages, potentially enabling session token theft or unauthorized actions. Versions 35.8.3, 38.5.4, and 39.3.1 fix the issue.

Wagtail: Improper escaping of HTML (Cross-site Scripting) on TableBlock class attributes

Wagtail is an open source content management system built on Django. Prior to versions 6.3.8, 7.0.6, 7.2.3, and 7.3.1, a stored cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability exists on rendering TableBlock blocks within a StreamField. A user with access to create or edit pages containing TableBlock StreamField blocks is able to set specially-crafted class attributes on the block which run arbitrary JavaScript code when the page is viewed. When viewed by a user with higher privileges, this could lead to performing actions with that user's credentials. The vulnerability is not exploitable by an ordinary site visitor without access to the Wagtail admin, and only affects sites using TableBlock. This issue has been patched in versions 6.3.8, 7.0.6, 7.2.3, and 7.3.1.

Stored Cross-site Scripting on data_sources.php device name view in Cacti

Cacti is an open source operational monitoring and fault management framework. Affected versions are subject to a Stored Cross-Site-Scripting (XSS) Vulnerability which allows an authenticated user to poison data stored in the _cacti_'s database. These data will be viewed by administrative _cacti_ accounts and execute JavaScript code in the victim's browser at view-time. The script under `data_sources.php` displays the data source management information (e.g. data source path, polling configuration, device name related to the datasource etc.) for different data visualizations of the _cacti_ app. _CENSUS_ found that an adversary that is able to configure a malicious device name, can deploy a stored XSS attack against any user of the same (or broader) privileges. A user that possesses the _General Administration>Sites/Devices/Data_ permissions can configure the device names in _cacti_. This configuration occurs through `http://<HOST>/cacti/host.php`, while the rendered malicious payload is exhibited at `http://<HOST>/cacti/data_sources.php`. This vulnerability has been addressed in version 1.2.25. Users are advised to upgrade. Users unable to update should manually filter HTML output.

Stored Cross-site Scripting on graphs.php data template formated name view in Cacti

The script under `graphs.php` displays graph details such as data-source paths, data template information and graph related fields. _CENSUS_ found that an adversary that is able to configure either a data-source template with malicious code appended in the data-source name or a device with a malicious payload injected in the device name, may deploy a stored XSS attack against any user with _General Administration>Graphs_ privileges. A user that possesses the _Template Editor>Data Templates_ permissions can configure the data-source name in _cacti_. Please note that this may be a _low privileged_ user. This configuration occurs through `http://<HOST>/cacti/data_templates.php` by editing an existing or adding a new data template. If a template is linked to a graph then the formatted template name will be rendered in the graph's management page. A user that possesses the _General Administration>Sites/Devices/Data_ permissions can configure the device name in _cacti_. This vulnerability has been addressed in version 1.2.25. Users are advised to upgrade. Users unable to upgrade should add manual HTML escaping.
