The Grafana MSSQL data source plugin contains a logic flaw that allows a low-privileged user (Viewer) to bypass API restrictions and trigger a catastrophic Out-Of-Memory (OOM) memory exhaustion, crashing the host container.
A testdata data-source can be used to trigger out-of-memory crashes in Grafana.
The OpenFeature feature toggle evaluation endpoint reads unbounded values into memory, which can cause out-of-memory crashes.
Every uncached /avatar/:hash request spawns a goroutine that refreshes the Gravatar image. If the refresh sits in the 10-slot worker queue longer than three seconds, the handler times out and stops listening for the result, so that goroutine blocks forever trying to send on an unbuffered channel. Sustained traffic with random hashes keeps tripping this timeout, so goroutine count grows linearly, eventually exhausting memory and causing Grafana to crash on some systems.
In versions 2.x before 2.3.1 and all versions of 1.x, when NGINX Instance Manager is in use, undisclosed requests can cause an increase in disk resource utilization. Note: Software versions which have reached End of Technical Support (EoTS) are not evaluated.
User-controlled operations could have allowed Denial of Service in M-Files Server before 23.4.12528.1 due to uncontrolled memory consumption.
An uncontrolled resource consumption vulnerability was discovered in HAProxy which could crash the service. This issue could allow an authenticated remote attacker to run a specially crafted malicious server in an OpenShift cluster. The biggest impact is to availability.
It may be possible to have an extremely long aggregation pipeline in conjunction with a specific stage/operator and cause a stack overflow due to the size of the stack frames used by that stage. If an attacker could cause such an aggregation to occur, they could maliciously crash MongoDB in a DoS attack. This vulnerability affects MongoDB Server v4.4 versions prior to and including 4.4.28, MongoDB Server v5.0 versions prior to 5.0.4 and MongoDB Server v4.2 versions prior to 4.2.16. Workaround:Â >= v4.2.16 users and all v4.4 users can add the --setParameter internalPipelineLengthLimit=50 instead of the default 1000 to mongod at startup to prevent a crash.
A resource exhaustion issue was addressed with improved input validation. This issue is fixed in macOS Big Sur 11.0.1. An attacker in a privileged network position may be able to perform denial of service.
A vulnerability was found in SourceCodester Engineers Online Portal 1.0. It has been classified as problematic. Affected is an unknown function of the component File Upload Handler. The manipulation leads to resource consumption. It is possible to launch the attack remotely. The exploit has been disclosed to the public and may be used. The identifier of this vulnerability is VDB-250116.
A denial of service exists in Gvisor Sandbox where a bug in reference counting code in mount point tracking could lead to a panic, making it possible for an attacker running as root and with permission to mount volumes to kill the sandbox. We recommend upgrading past commit 6a112c60a257dadac59962e0bc9e9b5aee70b5b6
A heap-based Buffer Overflow flaw was discovered in Samba. It could allow a remote, authenticated attacker to exploit this vulnerability to cause a denial of service.
Sante PACS Server Web Portal DCM File Parsing Memory Corruption Denial-of-Service Vulnerability. This vulnerability allows remote attackers to create a denial-of-service condition on affected installations of Sante PACS Server. Authentication is required to exploit this vulnerability. The specific flaw exists within the parsing of DCM files. The issue results from the lack of proper validation of user-supplied data, which can result in a memory corruption condition. An attacker can leverage this vulnerability to create a denial-of-service condition on the system. Was ZDI-CAN-25305.
Mattermost fails to deduplicate input IDs allowing a simple user to cause the application to consume excessive resources and possibly crash by sending a specially crafted request to /api/v4/users/ids with multiple identical IDs.
Mattermost fails to enforce character limits in all possible notification props allowing an attacker to send a really long value for a notification_prop resulting in the server consuming an abnormal quantity of computing resources and possibly becoming temporarily unavailable for its users.
The jose4j component before 0.9.4 for Java allows attackers to cause a denial of service (CPU consumption) via a large p2c (aka PBES2 Count) value.
Moxa IKS and EDS allow remote authenticated users to cause a denial of service via a specially crafted packet, which may cause the switch to crash.
This vulnerability exist in Skyworth Router CM5100, version 4.1.1.24, due to insufficient validation of user supplied input for the Add Downstream Frequency parameter at its web interface. A remote attacker could exploit this vulnerability by supplying specially crafted input to the parameter at the web interface of the vulnerable targeted system. Successful exploitation of this vulnerability could allow the attacker to perform a Denial of Service (DoS) attack on the targeted system.
Vulnerability in the Oracle WebLogic Server product of Oracle Fusion Middleware (component: Core). Supported versions that are affected are 12.2.1.4.0, 14.1.1.0.0 and 14.1.2.0.0. Easily exploitable vulnerability allows low privileged attacker with network access via HTTP to compromise Oracle WebLogic Server. Successful attacks of this vulnerability can result in unauthorized ability to cause a hang or frequently repeatable crash (complete DOS) of Oracle WebLogic Server. CVSS 3.1 Base Score 6.5 (Availability impacts). CVSS Vector: (CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H).
uri-js is a module that tries to fully implement RFC 3986. One of these features is validating whether or not a supplied URL is valid or not. To do this, uri-js uses a regular expression, This regular expression is vulnerable to redos. This causes the program to hang and the CPU to idle at 100% usage while uri-js is trying to validate if the supplied URL is valid or not. To check if you're vulnerable, look for a call to `require("uri-js").parse()` where a user is able to send their own input. This affects uri-js 2.1.1 and earlier.
quic-go is an implementation of the QUIC protocol (RFC 9000, RFC 9001, RFC 9002) in Go. An attacker can cause its peer to run out of memory sending a large number of PATH_CHALLENGE frames. The receiver is supposed to respond to each PATH_CHALLENGE frame with a PATH_RESPONSE frame. The attacker can prevent the receiver from sending out (the vast majority of) these PATH_RESPONSE frames by collapsing the peers congestion window (by selectively acknowledging received packets) and by manipulating the peer's RTT estimate. This vulnerability has been patched in versions 0.37.7, 0.38.2 and 0.39.4.
Mattermost fails to handle a null request body in the /add endpoint, allowing a simple member to send a request with null request body to that endpoint and make it crash. After a few repetitions, the plugin is disabled.Â
evm is a pure Rust implementation of Ethereum Virtual Machine. Prior to the patch, when executing specific EVM opcodes related to memory operations that use `evm_core::Memory::copy_large`, the `evm` crate can over-allocate memory when it is not needed, making it possible for an attacker to perform denial-of-service attack. The flaw was corrected in commit `19ade85`. Users should upgrade to `==0.21.1, ==0.23.1, ==0.24.1, ==0.25.1, >=0.26.1`. There are no workarounds. Please upgrade your `evm` crate version.
Knative Serving builds on Kubernetes to support deploying and serving of applications and functions as serverless containers. An attacker who controls a pod to a degree where they can control the responses from the /metrics endpoint can cause Denial-of-Service of the autoscaler from an unbound memory allocation bug. This is a DoS vulnerability, where a non-privileged Knative user can cause a DoS for the cluster. This issue has been patched in version 0.39.0.
An authenticated attacker can compromise the availability of the device via the network
An uncontrolled resource consumption vulnerability has been reported to affect Qsync Central. If a remote attacker gains a user account, they can then exploit the vulnerability to launch a denial-of-service (DoS) attack. We have already fixed the vulnerability in the following version: Qsync Central 4.5.0.7 ( 2025/04/23 ) and later
lakeFS is an open-source tool that transforms your object storage into a Git-like repository. In affected versions an authenticated user can crash lakeFS by exhausting server memory. This is an authenticated denial-of-service issue. This problem has been patched in version 1.50.0. Users on versions 1.49.1 and below are affected. Users are advised to upgrade. Users unable to upgrade should either set the environment variable `LAKEFS_BLOCKSTORE_S3_DISABLE_PRE_SIGNED_MULTIPART` to `true` or configure the `disable_pre_signed_multipart` key to true in their config yaml.
Directus is a real-time API and App dashboard for managing SQL database content. Prior to 11.17.0, Directus' GraphQL endpoints (/graphql and /graphql/system) did not deduplicate resolver invocations within a single request. An authenticated user could exploit GraphQL aliasing to repeat an expensive relational query many times in a single request, forcing the server to execute a large number of independent complex database queries concurrently, multiplying database load linearly with the number of aliases. The existing token limit on GraphQL queries still permitted enough aliases for significant resource exhaustion, while the relational depth limit applied per alias without reducing the total number executed. Rate limiting is disabled by default, meaning no built-in throttle prevented this from causing CPU, memory, and I/O exhaustion that could degrade or crash the service. Any authenticated user, including those with minimal read-only permissions, could trigger this condition. This vulnerability is fixed in 11.17.0.
A vulnerability in the Cisco Webex Teams client for Windows could allow an authenticated, remote attacker to cause the client to crash, resulting in a denial of service (DoS) condition. The attacker needs a valid developer account to exploit this vulnerability. The vulnerability is due to insufficient input validation when processing received adaptive cards. The attacker could exploit this vulnerability by sending an adaptive card with malicious content to an existing user of the Cisco Webex Teams client for Windows. A successful exploit could allow the attacker to cause the targeted user's client to crash continuously. This vulnerability was introduced in Cisco Webex Teams client for Windows Release 3.0.13131.
TSPortal is the WikiTide Foundation’s in-house platform used by the Trust and Safety team to manage reports, investigations, appeals, and transparency work. Prior to version 34, a flaw in TSPortal allowed attackers to create arbitrary user records in the database by abusing validation logic. While validation correctly rejected invalid usernames, a side effect within a validation rule caused user records to be created regardless of whether the request succeeded. This could be exploited to cause uncontrolled database growth, leading to a potential denial of service (DoS). Version 34 contains a fix for the issue.
Go Ethereum, or "Geth", is the official Golang implementation of the Ethereum protocol. In Geth before version 1.9.25 a denial-of-service vulnerability can make a LES server crash via malicious GetProofsV2 request from a connected LES client. This vulnerability only concerns users explicitly enabling les server; disabling les prevents the exploit. The vulnerability was patched in version 1.9.25.

WordPress before 2.0.5 does not properly store a profile containing a string representation of a serialized object, which allows remote authenticated users to cause a denial of service (application crash) via a string that represents a (1) malformed or (2) large serialized object, because the object triggers automatic unserialization for display.
Jensen of Scandinavia Eagle 1200AC V15.03.06.33_en was discovered to contain a stack overflow via the wrlEn parameter at /goform/WifiBasicSet.
Denial-of-service condition in M-Files Server versions before 25.11.15392.1, before 25.2 LTS SR2 and before 25.8 LTS SR2 allows an authenticated user to cause the MFserver process to crash.

A vulnerability was found in Tenda A18 up to 15.13.07.09. It has been rated as critical. This issue affects the function SetCmdlineRun of the file /goform/SetCmdlineRun of the component HTTP POST Request Handler. The manipulation of the argument wpapsk_crypto5g leads to stack-based buffer overflow. The attack may be initiated remotely. The exploit has been disclosed to the public and may be used.
Hyperledger Besu is an open-source, MainNet compatible, Ethereum client written in Java. In Besu before version 1.5.1 there is a denial-of-service vulnerability involving the HTTP JSON-RPC API service. If username and password authentication is enabled for the HTTP JSON-RPC API service, then prior to making any requests to an API endpoint the requestor must use the login endpoint to obtain a JSON web token (JWT) using their credentials. A single user can readily overload the login endpoint with invalid requests (incorrect password). As the supplied password is checked for validity on the main vertx event loop and takes a relatively long time this can cause the processing of other valid requests to fail. A valid username is required for this vulnerability to be exposed. This has been fixed in version 1.5.1.
A Stack-based Buffer Overflow vulnerability in the HTTPD daemon of FortiOS 6.0.10 and below, 6.2.2 and below and FortiProxy 1.0.x, 1.1.x, 1.2.9 and below, 2.0.0 and below may allow an authenticated remote attacker to crash the service by sending a malformed PUT request to the server. Fortinet is not aware of any successful exploitation of this vulnerability that would lead to code execution.
A stack buffer overflow vulnerability in FortiClient for Linux 6.2.1 and below may allow a user with low privilege to cause FortiClient processes running under root priviledge crashes via sending specially crafted "StartAvCustomScan" type IPC client requests to the fctsched process due the argv data not been well sanitized.
A denial of service exists in gitlab <v12.3.2, <v12.2.6, and <v12.1.10 that would let an attacker bypass input validation in markdown fields take down the affected page.
A user-supplied regular expression in Jenkins Build Failure Analyzer Plugin 1.24.1 and earlier was processed in a way that wasn't interruptible, allowing attackers to have Jenkins evaluate a regular expression without the ability to interrupt this process.
The use of `String.to_atom/1` in PowAssent is susceptible to denial of service attacks. In `PowAssent.Phoenix.AuthorizationController` a value is fetched from the user provided params, and `String.to_atom/1` is used to convert the binary value to an atom so it can be used to fetch the provider configuration value. This is unsafe as it is user provided data, and can be used to fill up the whole atom table of ~1M which will cause the app to crash.
An issue was discovered on Weidmueller IE-SW-VL05M 3.6.6 Build 16102415, IE-SW-VL08MT 3.5.2 Build 16102415, and IE-SW-PL10M 3.3.16 Build 16102416 devices. Remote authenticated users can crash a device with a special packet because of Uncontrolled Resource Consumption.
A Denial of Service (DoS) condition has been discovered in GitLab CE/EE affecting all versions starting with 15.9 before 17.0.6, 17.1 prior to 17.1.4, and 17.2 prior to 17.2.2. It is possible for an attacker to cause catastrophic backtracking while parsing results from Elasticsearch.
A missing input validation in Nextcloud Server before 20.0.2, 19.0.5, 18.0.11 allows users to store unlimited data in workflow rules causing load and potential DDoS on later interactions and usage with those rules.
A Denial of Service (DoS) issue has been discovered in GitLab CE/EE affecting all versions prior to 17.1.6, 17.2 prior to 17.2.4, and 17.3 prior to 17.3.1. A denial of service could occur upon importing a maliciously crafted repository using the GitHub importer.
The duration function in the moment package before 2.11.2 for Node.js allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (CPU consumption) via a long string, aka a "regular expression Denial of Service (ReDoS)."
