free5GC CHF has Out-of-Bounds Slice Access that Leads to DoS

free5GC is an open source 5G core network. free5GC CHF prior to version 1.2.2 has an out-of-bounds slice access vulnerability in the CHF `nchf-convergedcharging` service. A valid authenticated request to PUT `/nchf-convergedcharging/v3/recharging/:ueId?ratingGroup=...` can trigger a server-side panic in `github.com/free5gc/chf/internal/sbi.(*Server).RechargePut(...)` due to an out-of-range slice access. In the reported runtime, Gin recovery converts the panic into HTTP 500, but the recharge path remains remotely panic-triggerable and can be abused repeatedly to degrade recharge functionality and flood logs. In deployments without equivalent recovery handling, this panic may cause more severe service disruption. free5GC CHF patches the issue. Some workarounds are available: Restrict access to the `nchf-convergedcharging` recharge endpoint to strictly trusted NF callers only; apply rate limiting or network ACLs in front of the CHF SBI interface to reduce repeated panic-trigger attempts; if the recharge API is not required, temporarily disable or block external reachability to this route; and/or ensure panic recovery, monitoring, and alerting are enabled.

free5GC has Array Index Out of Bounds in AMF Leading to Denial of Service

free5GC is an open-source project for 5th generation (5G) mobile core networks. Versions up to and including 1.4.1 of free5GC's AMF service have a Buffer Overflow vulnerability leading to Denial of Service. Remote unauthenticated attackers can crash the AMF service by sending a specially crafted NAS Registration Request with a malformed 5GS Mobile Identity, causing complete denial of service for the 5G core network. All deployments of free5GC using the AMF component may be affected. Pull request 43 of the free5gc/nas repo contains a fix. No direct workaround is available at the application level. Applying the official patch is recommended.

The free5GC UPF suffers from a lack of bounds checking on the SEID when processing PFCP Session Deletion Requests. An unauthenticated remote attacker can send a request with a very large SEID (e.g., 0xFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF) that causes an integer conversion/underflow in LocalNode.DeleteSess() / LocalNode.Sess() when a uint64 SEID is converted to int and used in index arithmetic. This leads to a negative index into n.sess and a Go runtime panic, resulting in a denial of service (UPF crash). The issue has been reproduced on free5GC v4.1.0 with crashes observed in the session lookup/deletion path in internal/pfcp/node.go; other versions may also be affected. No authentication is required.

vLLM: Remote DoS via Special-Token Placeholders

vLLM is an inference and serving engine for large language models (LLMs). From 0.6.1 to before 0.20.0, there is a a Token Injection vulnerability in vLLM’s multimodal processing. Unauthenticated, text-only prompts that spell special tokens are interpreted as control. Image and video placeholder sequences supplied without matching data cause vLLM to index into empty grids during input-position computation, raising an unhandled IndexError and terminating the worker or degrading availability. Multimodal paths that rely on image_grid_thw/video_grid_thw are affected. This vulnerability is fixed in 0.20.0.

Incus out-of-bounds panic in snapshot metadata handling allows denial of service

Incus is a system container and virtual machine manager. In versions before 7.0.0, missing validation logic in the storage volume import logic allows an authenticated user with access to the storage volume feature to cause the Incus daemon to crash. The backup restore subsystem contains an out-of-bounds panic vulnerability caused by an invalid bounds check when indexing snapshot metadata arrays, and the same flawed pattern also appears in the migration path. When iterating through physical snapshots provided in a backup archive, the loop uses the index to look up corresponding metadata in the parsed `Config.Snapshots` and `Config.VolumeSnapshots` slices. The guard condition `len(slice) >= i-1` is incorrect because it can still evaluate to true when the subsequent slice[i] access is out of bounds. An attacker can submit a backup archive that contains physical snapshot directories while supplying a tampered `index.yaml` with an empty or truncated snapshot metadata array, causing the daemon to index beyond the end of the metadata slice and crash. Repeated use of this issue can be used to keep Incus offline, causing a denial of service. This issue is fixed in version 7.0.0.

Tekton Pipelines: Controller can panic when setting long resolver names in TaskRun/PipelineRun

Tekton Pipelines project provides k8s-style resources for declaring CI/CD-style pipelines. Versions 0.60.0 through 1.0.0, 1.1.0 through 1.3.2, 1.4.0 through 1.6.0, 1.7.0 through 1.9.0, 1.10.0, and 1.10.1 have a denial-of-service vulnerability in that allows any user who can create a TaskRun or PipelineRun to crash the controller cluster-wide by setting .spec.taskRef.resolver (or .spec.pipelineRef.resolver) to a string of 31+ characters. The crash occurs because GenerateDeterministicNameFromSpec produces a name exceeding the 63-character DNS-1123 label limit, and its truncation logic panics on a [-1] slice bound since the generated name contains no spaces. Once crashed, the controller enters a CrashLoopBackOff on restart (as it re-reconciles the offending resource), blocking all CI/CD reconciliation until the resource is manually deleted. Built-in resolvers (git, cluster, bundles, hub) are unaffected due to their short names, but any custom resolver name triggers the bug. The fix truncates the resolver-name prefix instead of the full string, preserving the hash suffix for determinism and uniqueness. This issue has been patched in versions 1.0.1, 1.3.3, 1.6.1, 1.9.2 and 1.10.2.

Ella Core panics on invalid PDU Session IDs in NGAP messages

Ella Core is a 5G core designed for private networks. Versions prior to 1.6.0 panic when processing NGAP messages with invalid PDU Session IDs outside of 1-15. An attacker able to send crafted NGAP messages to Ella Core can crash the process, causing service disruption for all connected subscribers. No authentication is required. Version 1.6.0 added PDU Session ID validations during NGAP message handling.

In etcd before versions 3.3.23 and 3.4.10, it is possible to have an entry index greater then the number of entries in the ReadAll method in wal/wal.go.
