iccDEV: HBO in icAnsiToUtf8()

iccDEV provides a set of libraries and tools for working with ICC color management profiles. Prior to version 2.3.1.6, there is a heap-buffer-overflow (HBO) in icAnsiToUtf8() in the XML conversion path. The issue is triggered by a crafted ICC profile which causes icAnsiToUtf8(std::string&, char const*) to treat an input buffer as a C-string and call operations that rely on strlen()/null-termination. AddressSanitizer reports an out-of-bounds READ of size 115 past a 114-byte heap allocation, with the failure observed while running the iccToXml tool. This issue has been patched in version 2.3.1.6.

iccDEV: HBO in CIccApplyCmmSearch::costFunc()

iccDEV provides a set of libraries and tools for working with ICC color management profiles. Prior to version 2.3.1.6, a heap-buffer-overflow (HBO) in CIccApplyCmmSearch::costFunc() can be triggered via malformed JSON configuration input to the iccApplySearch tool. AddressSanitizer reports an out-of-bounds READ of size 8 originating from CIccApplyCmmSearch::costFunc(CIccSearchVec&) at IccProfLib/IccCmmSearch.cpp:112:5. This issue has been patched in version 2.3.1.6.

barebox ext4 Extent Parsing Out-of-Bounds Read

barebox prior to version 2026.04.0 contains out-of-bounds read vulnerabilities in ext4 extent parsing due to missing validation of the eh_entries field against buffer capacity in fs/ext4/ext4_common.c. Attackers can supply a malicious ext4 filesystem image via USB, SD card, or network boot to trigger heap out-of-bounds reads during boot-time filesystem parsing, potentially redirecting reads to arbitrary disk offsets.

mptcp: Fix out of bounds when parsing TCP options

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: mptcp: Fix out of bounds when parsing TCP options The TCP option parser in mptcp (mptcp_get_options) could read one byte out of bounds. When the length is 1, the execution flow gets into the loop, reads one byte of the opcode, and if the opcode is neither TCPOPT_EOL nor TCPOPT_NOP, it reads one more byte, which exceeds the length of 1. This fix is inspired by commit 9609dad263f8 ("ipv4: tcp_input: fix stack out of bounds when parsing TCP options.").

Out-of-bounds read in swtpm

swtpm is a libtpms-based TPM emulator with socket, character device, and Linux CUSE interface. Versions prior to 0.5.3, 0.6.2, and 0.7.1 are vulnerable to out-of-bounds read. A specially crafted header of swtpm's state, where the blobheader's hdrsize indicator has an invalid value, may cause an out-of-bounds access when the byte array representing the state of the TPM is accessed. This will likely crash swtpm or prevent it from starting since the state cannot be understood. Users should upgrade to swtpm v0.5.3, v0.6.2, or v0.7.1 to receive a patch. There are currently no known workarounds.
