The AsyncHttpClient (AHC) library allows Java applications to easily execute HTTP requests and asynchronously process HTTP responses. When making any HTTP request, the automatically enabled and self-managed CookieStore (aka cookie jar) will silently replace explicitly defined Cookies with any that have the same name from the cookie jar. For services that operate with multiple users, this can result in one user's Cookie being used for another user's requests.

CVE-2024-45823 IMPACT An authentication bypass vulnerability exists in the affected product. The vulnerability exists due to shared secrets across accounts and could allow a threat actor to impersonate a user if the threat actor is able to enumerate additional information required during authentication.

The web application uses a weak authentication mechanism to verify that a request is coming from an authenticated and authorized resource.

The HEIDENHAIN Controller TNC 640 NC software Version 340590 07 SP5, is vulnerable to improper authentication in its DNC communication for CNC machines. Authentication is not enabled by default for DNC communication. This vulnerability may allow an attacker to deny service on the production line, steal sensitive data from the production line, and alter any products created by the production line. Note: CNC machines running the TNC 640 controller require DNC to be enabled for DNC communication to be present.
