[This CNA information record relates to multiple CVEs; the text explains which aspects/vulnerabilities correspond to which CVE.] There are two issues related to the mapping of pages belonging to other domains: For one, an assertion is wrong there, where the case actually needs handling. A NULL pointer de-reference could result on a release build. This is CVE-2025-58144. And then the P2M lock isn't held until a page reference was actually obtained (or the attempt to do so has failed). Otherwise the page can not only change type, but even ownership in between, thus allowing domain boundaries to be violated. This is CVE-2025-58145.

Guests can cause Xenstore crash via soft reset When a guest issues a "Soft Reset" (e.g. for performing a kexec) the libxl based Xen toolstack will normally perform a XS_RELEASE Xenstore operation. Due to a bug in xenstored this can result in a crash of xenstored. Any other use of XS_RELEASE will have the same impact.
When setting up interrupt remapping for legacy PCI(-X) devices, including PCI(-X) bridges, a lookup of the upstream bridge is required. This lookup, itself involving acquiring of a lock, is done in a context where acquiring that lock is unsafe. This can lead to a deadlock.
The logic to handle periodic Viridian STIMERs performs a division with an unchecked user-controlled divisor value, that can be set to zero to cause a #DE fault.
Xenstore, to have an up-to-date picture of the entire system, wants to know of domains appearing and disappearing. To make this more robust, a new XEN_DOMCTL_get_domain_state was introduced. The management of the bitmap underlying that operation is tied into the binding of the VIRQ_DOM_EXC virtual IRQ. Unfortunately an error path there would tear down the bitmap even in cases when it wasn't set up. Unprivileged domains can trigger that error path.
When multiple devices share resources and one of them is to be passed through to a guest, security of the entire system and of respective guests individually cannot really be guaranteed without knowing internals of any of the involved guests. Therefore such a configuration cannot really be security-supported, yet making that explicit was so far missing. Resources the sharing of which is known to be problematic include, but are not limited to - - PCI Base Address Registers (BARs) of multiple devices mapping to the same page (4k on x86), - - INTx lines.
Certain PCI devices in a system might be assigned Reserved Memory Regions (specified via Reserved Memory Region Reporting, "RMRR") for Intel VT-d or Unity Mapping ranges for AMD-Vi. These are typically used for platform tasks such as legacy USB emulation. Since the precise purpose of these regions is unknown, once a device associated with such a region is active, the mappings of these regions need to remain continuouly accessible by the device. In the logic establishing these mappings, error handling was flawed, resulting in such mappings to potentially remain in place when they should have been removed again. Respective guests would then gain access to memory regions which they aren't supposed to have access to.
The Blackmagic ATEM Mini Pro 2.7 exposes an undocumented Telnet service on TCP port 9993, which accepts unauthenticated plaintext commands for controlling streaming, recording, formatting storage devices, and system reboot. This interface, referred to as the "ATEM Ethernet Protocol 1.0", provides complete device control without requiring credentials or encryption. An attacker on the same network (or with remote access to the exposed port) can exploit this interface to execute arbitrary streaming commands, erase disks, or shut down the device - effectively gaining full remote control.
An issue in finance.js v.4.1.0 allows a remote attacker to cause a denial of service via the seekZero() parameter.
An issue was discovered in rust-ffmpeg 0.3.0 (after comit 5ac0527) Integer overflow and invalid input vulnerability in the cached method allows an attacker to cause a denial of service or potentially execute arbitrary code. The vulnerability occurs when dimension parameters are zero or exceed i32::MAX, leading to an unchecked cast that violates the underlying C function's preconditions and triggers undefined behavior.
gnark is a zero-knowledge proof system framework. In version 0.12.0, there is a potential denial of service vulnerability when computing scalar multiplication is using the fake-GLV algorithm. This is because the algorithm didn't converge quickly enough for some of the inputs. This issue has been patched in version 0.13.0.
jsx-slack is a library for building JSON objects for Slack Block Kit surfaces from JSX. In versions prior to 4.5.1 users are vulnerable to a regular expression denial-of-service (ReDoS) attack. If attacker can put a lot of JSX elements into `<blockquote>` tag, an internal regular expression for escaping characters may consume an excessive amount of computing resources. jsx-slack v4.5.1 has patched to a regex for escaping blockquote characters. Users are advised to upgrade as soon as possible.
An issue in Insiders Technologies GmbH e-invoice pro before release 1 Service Pack 2 allows a remote attacker to cause a denial of service via a crafted script
An issue in O-RAN Near Realtime RIC ric-plt-submgr in the J-Release environment, allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (DoS) via a crafted request to the Subscription Manager API component.
AT_NA2000 from Nanda Automation Technology vendor has a denial-of-service vulnerability. For the processing of TCP RST packets, PLC AT_NA2000 has a wide acceptable range of sequence numbers. It does not require the sequence number to exactly match the next expected sequence value, just to be within the current receive window, which violates RFC5961. This flaw allows attackers to send multiple random TCP RST packets to hit the acceptable range of sequence numbers, thereby interrupting normal connections and causing a denial-of-service attack.
A buffer overflow occurs in pytorch v2.7.0 when a PyTorch model consists of torch.nn.Conv2d, torch.nn.functional.hardshrink, and torch.Tensor.view-torch.mv() and is compiled by Inductor, leading to a Denial of Service (DoS).
An issue was discovered TensorFlow v2.18.0. A Denial of Service (DoS) occurs when padding is set to 'valid' in tf.keras.layers.Conv2D.
GJSON before 1.9.3 allows a ReDoS (regular expression denial of service) attack.
Copyparty is a portable file server. Versions prior to 1.18.9, the filter parameter for the "Recent Uploads" page allows arbitrary RegExes. If this feature is enabled (which is the default), an attacker can craft a filter which deadlocks the server. This is fixed in version 1.18.9.
The openml/openml.org web application version v2.0.20241110 uses predictable MD5-based tokens for critical user workflows such as signup confirmation, password resets, email confirmation resends, and email change confirmation. These tokens are generated by hashing the current timestamp formatted as "%d %H:%M:%S" without incorporating any user-specific data or cryptographic randomness. This predictability allows remote attackers to brute-force valid tokens within a small time window, enabling unauthorized account confirmation, password resets, and email change approvals, potentially leading to account takeover.
Openindiana, kernel SunOS 5.11 has a denial of service vulnerability. For the processing of TCP packets with RST or SYN flag set, Openindiana has a wide acceptable range of sequence numbers. It does not require the sequence number to exactly match the next expected sequence value, just to be within the current receive window, which violates RFC5961. This flaw allows attackers to send multiple random TCP RST/SYN packets to hit the acceptable range of sequence numbers, thereby interrupting normal connections and causing a denial of service attack.
In tinyMQTT commit 6226ade15bd4f97be2d196352e64dd10937c1962 (2024-02-18), the broker mishandles protocol violations during CONNECT packet parsing. When receiving a CONNECT packet with a zero-length Client ID while CleanSession is set to 0, the broker correctly replies with a CONNACK return code 0x02 (Identifier Rejected) but fails to explicitly close the TCP connection. Since the surrounding connection teardown logic is not guaranteed to execute, each such invalid CONNECT attempt leaves the underlying socket open. Repeated attempts cause server-side resource exhaustion due to accumulating file descriptors and memory usage, potentially resulting in denial of service.
An issue in pytorch v2.7.0 can lead to a Denial of Service (DoS) when a PyTorch model consists of torch.Tensor.to_sparse() and torch.Tensor.to_dense() and is compiled by Inductor.
A TCL Smart TV running a vulnerable UPnP/DLNA MediaRenderer implementation is affected by a remote, unauthenticated Denial of Service (DoS) condition. By sending a flood of malformed or oversized SetAVTransportURI SOAP requests to the UPnP control endpoint, an attacker can cause the device to become unresponsive. This denial persists as long as the attack continues and affects all forms of TV operation. Manual user control and even reboots do not restore functionality unless the flood stops.
Malicious scripts could bypass the popup blocker to spam new tabs, potentially resulting in denial of service attacks. This vulnerability was fixed in Firefox for iOS 142.
TOTOLINK A3002R v4.0.0-B20230531.1404 was discovered to contain a buffer overflow in the hostname parameter at /boafrm/formMapDelDevice. This vulnerability allows attackers to cause a Denial of Service (DoS) via a crafted input.
Fluentd collects events from various data sources and writes them to files to help unify logging infrastructure. The parser_apache2 plugin in Fluentd v0.14.14 to v1.14.1 suffers from a regular expression denial of service (ReDoS) vulnerability. A broken apache log with a certain pattern of string can spend too much time in a regular expression, resulting in the potential for a DoS attack. This issue is patched in version 1.14.2 There are two workarounds available. Either don't use parser_apache2 for parsing logs (which cannot guarantee generated by Apache), or put patched version of parser_apache2.rb into /etc/fluent/plugin directory (or any other directories specified by the environment variable `FLUENT_PLUGIN` or `--plugin` option of fluentd).
Bitcoin Core through 29.0 allows Uncontrolled Resource Consumption (issue 1 of 2).
Bitcoin Core through 29.0 allows Uncontrolled Resource Consumption (issue 2 of 2).
A uncontrolled resource consumption in Fortinet FortiWeb version 6.4.1 and below, 6.3.15 and below allows an unauthenticated attacker to make the httpsd daemon unresponsive via huge HTTP packets
An issue was discovered in NAS in Samsung Mobile Processor, Wearable Processor, and Modem Exynos 980, 990, 850, 1080, 2100, 1280, 2200, 1330, 1380, 1480, 2400, 1580, 2500, 9110, W920, W930, W1000, Modem 5123, Modem 5300, and Modem 5400. Incorrect Handling of a DL NAS Transport packet leads to a Denial of Service.
Versions of the package pacote from 11.2.7 and before 21.5.1 are vulnerable to Denial of Service (DoS) via the addGitSha function. An attacker can exploit this vulnerability by supplying a specially crafted spec.rawSpec value that triggers the function’s regex replacement and string-manipulation logic, causing excessive CPU consumption and potentially stalling or crashing the process.
In Eclipse Parsson published Maven Central artifacts before version 1.1.8, the JSON parser did not enforce a default maximum on the number of characters consumed while parsing a single JSON document. Applications that parse attacker- controlled JSON can be forced to consume excessive CPU and memory by processing very large documents, including large arrays, objects, strings, numbers, whitespace, or nested structures, resulting in a denial of service. Eclipse Parsson 1.1.8 introduces a configurable maximum parsing limit with a default limit of 15 million parser-consumed characters.
Uncontrolled resource consumption in Windows Remote Desktop Services allows an unauthorized attacker to deny service over a network.
There MultipartParser usage in Encode's Starlette python framework before versions 0.25.0 allows an unauthenticated and remote attacker to specify any number of form fields or files which can cause excessive memory usage resulting in denial of service of the HTTP service.
Uncontrolled Resource Consumption vulnerability in Wikimedia Foundation Mediawiki - IPInfo Extension allows Excessive Allocation. This issue affects Mediawiki - IPInfo Extension: from 1.39.X before 1.39.13, from 1.42.X before 1.42.7, from 1.43.X before 1.43.2.
Suricata is a network IDS, IPS and NSM engine developed by the OISF (Open Information Security Foundation) and the Suricata community. In versions 7.0.10 and below and 8.0.0-beta1 through 8.0.0-rc1, mishandling of data on HTTP2 stream 0 can lead to uncontrolled memory usage, leading to loss of visibility. Workarounds include disabling the HTTP/2 parser, and using a signature like drop http2 any any -> any any (frame:http2.hdr; byte_test:1,=,0,3; byte_test:4,=,0,5; sid: 1;) where the first byte test tests the HTTP2 frame type DATA and the second tests the stream id 0. This is fixed in versions 7.0.11 and 8.0.0.
IBM WebSphere Application Server and WebSphere Application Server Liberty are vulnerable to a denial of service, caused by sending a specially-crafted request. A remote attacker could exploit this vulnerability to cause the server to consume memory resources.
Zimbra Collaboration (ZCS) before 9.0.0 Patch 46, 10.0.x before 10.0.15, and 10.1.x before 10.1.9 is vulnerable to a denial of service condition due to improper handling of excessive, comma-separated path segments in the Admin Console. An unauthenticated remote attacker can send specially crafted GET requests that trigger redundant processing and inflated responses. This leads to uncontrolled resource consumption, resulting in denial of service.
MaterialX is an open standard for the exchange of rich material and look-development content across applications and renderers. In version 1.39.2, nested imports of MaterialX files can lead to a crash via stack memory exhaustion, due to the lack of a limit on the "import chain" depth. When parsing file imports, recursion is used to process nested files; however, there is no limit imposed to the depth of files that can be parsed by the library. By building a sufficiently deep chain of MaterialX files one referencing the next, it is possible to crash the process using the MaterialX library via stack exhaustion. This is fixed in version 1.39.3.
HCL AION is affected by a vulnerability related to the handling of upload size limits. Improper control or validation of upload sizes may allow excessive resource consumption, which could potentially lead to service degradation or denial-of-service conditions under certain scenarios.
The CSP report endpoint in MISP intended to limit logged CSP reports to 1 KB but incorrectly allowed reports up to 1 MB before truncation. On deployments where the endpoint is reachable by untrusted clients, this could allow attackers to generate excessive log volume and contribute to resource exhaustion or log flooding.
IBM WebSphere Application Server 9.0, and 8.5 and IBM WebSphere Application Server - Liberty 17.0.0.3 through 26.0.0.6 are vulnerable to a denial of service, caused by sending a specially-crafted request. A remote attacker could exploit this vulnerability to cause the server to consume memory resources.
cpp-httplib is a C++11 single-file header-only cross platform HTTP/HTTPS library. In version 0.21.0, when many http headers fields are passed in, the library does not limit the number of headers, and the memory associated with the headers will not be released when the connection is disconnected. This leads to potential exhaustion of system memory and results in a server crash or unresponsiveness. Version 0.22.0 contains a patch for the issue.
In Eclipse Jetty, versions <=9.4.57, <=10.0.25, <=11.0.25, <=12.0.21, <=12.1.0.alpha2, an HTTP/2 client may trigger the server to send RST_STREAM frames, for example by sending frames that are malformed or that should not be sent in a particular stream state, therefore forcing the server to consume resources such as CPU and memory. For example, a client can open a stream and then send WINDOW_UPDATE frames with window size increment of 0, which is illegal. Per specification https://www.rfc-editor.org/rfc/rfc9113.html#name-window_update , the server should send a RST_STREAM frame. The client can now open another stream and send another bad WINDOW_UPDATE, therefore causing the server to consume more resources than necessary, as this case does not exceed the max number of concurrent streams, yet the client is able to create an enormous amount of streams in a short period of time. The attack can be performed with other conditions (for example, a DATA frame for a closed stream) that cause the server to send a RST_STREAM frame. An issue was discovered in Veal98 Echo Open-Source Community System 2.2 thru 2.3 allowing an unauthenticated attacker to cause the server to send email verification messages to arbitrary users via the /sendEmailCodeForResetPwd endpoint potentially causing a denial of service to the server or the downstream users.
Assertion failure in function ngap_build_downlink_nas_transport in file src/amf/ngap-build.c, the Access and Mobility Management Function (AMF) component, in Open5GS thru 2.7.5 allowing attackers to cause a denial of service or other unspecified impacts via repeated UE connect and disconnect message sequences.
A buffer overflow vulnerability has been discovered in Netis WF2880 v2.1.40207 in the FUN_00470c50 function of the cgitest.cgi file. Attackers can trigger this vulnerability by controlling the value of wl_mac_filter_set in the payload, which can cause the program to crash and lead to a Denial of Service (DoS) attack.
IBM Langflow OSS 1.0.0 through 1.9.0 could allow a denial of service due to uncontrolled resource consumption.
