Versions 1.4.3 and 1.8.2 contain patches for this vulnerability; no workarounds other than the patches are known to exist.
The Nextcloud Notes app is a distraction free notes taking app for Nextcloud. If an attacker managed to share a folder called `Notes/` with a newly created user before they logged in, the Notes app would use that folder store the personal notes. It is recommended that the Nextcloud Notes app is upgraded to 4.9.3.
Nextcloud Server is a space for data storage on Nextcloud, a self-hosted productivity playform. In NextCloud Server versions 25.0.0 until 25.0.7 and 26.0.0 until 26.0.2 and Nextcloud Enterprise Server versions 19.0.0 until 19.0.13.9, 20.0.0 until 20.0.14.14, 21.0.0 until 21.0.9.12, 22.0.0 until 22.2.10.12, 23.0.0 until 23.0.12.7, 24.0.0 until 24.0.12.2, 25.0.0 until 25.0.7, and 26.0.0 until 26.0.2, a user could use this functionality to get access to the login credentials of another user and take over their account. This issue has been patched in Nextcloud Server versions 25.0.7 and 26.0.2 and NextCloud Enterprise Server versions 19.0.13.9, 20.0.14.14, 21.0.9.12, 22.2.10.12, 23.0.12.7, 24.0.12.2, 25.0.7, and 26.0.2. Three workarounds are available. Disable app files_external. Change config setting "Allow users to mount external storage" to disabled in "Administration" > "External storage" settings `…/index.php/settings/admin/externalstorages`. Change config setting to disallow users to create external storages in "Administration" > "External storage" settings `…/index.php/settings/admin/externalstorages` with the types FTP, Nextcloud, SFTP, and/or WebDAV.
NextCloud Cookbook is a recipe library app. Prior to commit a46d9855 on the `master` branch and commit 489bb744 on the `main-0.9.x` branch, the `pull-checks.yml` workflow is vulnerable to command injection attacks because of using an untrusted `github.head_ref` field. The `github.head_ref` value is an attacker-controlled value. Assigning the value to `zzz";echo${IFS}"hello";#` can lead to command injection. Since the permission is not restricted, the attacker has a write-access to the repository. This issue is fixed in commit a46d9855 on the `master` branch and commit 489bb744 on the `main-0.9.x` branch. There is no risk for the user of the app within the NextCloud server. This only affects the main repository and possible forks of it. Those who have forked the NextCloud Cookbook repository should make sure their forks are on the latest version to prevent code injection attacks and similar.
Nextcloud server is an open source home cloud implementation. In affected versions when a recipient receives 2 shares with the same name, while a memory cache is configured, the second share will replace the first one instead of being renamed to `{name} (2)`. It is recommended that the Nextcloud Server is upgraded to 25.0.3 or 24.0.9. Users unable to upgrade should avoid sharing 2 folders with the same name to the same user.
Nextcloud server is an open source home cloud implementation. In affected versions a missing scope validation allowed users to create workflows which are designed to be only available for administrators. Some workflows are designed to be RCE by invoking defined scripts, in order to generate PDFs, invoking webhooks or running scripts on the server. Due to this combination depending on the available apps the issue can result in a RCE at the end. It is recommended that the Nextcloud Server is upgraded to 24.0.10 or 25.0.4. Users unable to upgrade should disable app `workflow_scripts` and `workflow_pdf_converter` as a mitigation.
Nextcloud Server is a Nextcloud package that handles data storage. Nextcloud Server supports application specific tokens for authentication purposes. These tokens are supposed to be granted to a specific applications (e.g. DAV sync clients), and can also be configured by the user to not have any filesystem access. Due to a lacking permission check, the tokens were able to change their own permissions in versions prior to 19.0.13, 20.0.11, and 21.0.3. Thus fileystem limited tokens were able to grant themselves access to the filesystem. The issue is patched in versions 19.0.13, 20.0.11, and 21.0.3. There are no known workarounds aside from upgrading.
Improper Authentication in Nextcloud Server prior to version 12.0.3 would allow an attacker that obtained user credentials to bypass the 2 Factor Authentication.
Windmill versions 1.56.0 through 1.614.0 contain a missing authorization vulnerability that allows users with the Operator role to perform prohibited entity creation and modification actions via the backend API. Although Operators are documented and priced as unable to create or modify entities, the API does not enforce the Operator restriction on workspace endpoints, allowing an Operator to create and update scripts, flows, apps, and raw_apps. Since Operators can also execute scripts via the jobs API, this allows direct privilege escalation to remote code execution within the Windmill deployment. This vulnerability has existed since the introduction of the Operator role in version 1.56.0.
Nextcloud is an open-source, self-hosted productivity platform. Prior to versions 20.0.13, 21.0.5, and 22.2.0, a file traversal vulnerability makes an attacker able to download arbitrary SVG images from the host system, including user provided files. This could also be leveraged into a XSS/phishing attack, an attacker could upload a malicious SVG file that mimics the Nextcloud login form and send a specially crafted link to victims. The XSS risk here is mitigated due to the fact that Nextcloud employs a strict Content-Security-Policy disallowing execution of arbitrary JavaScript. It is recommended that the Nextcloud Server be upgraded to 20.0.13, 21.0.5 or 22.2.0. There are no known workarounds aside from upgrading.
Nextcloud server is an open source home cloud platform. Affected versions of Nextcloud stored OAuth2 tokens in plaintext which allows an attacker who has gained access to the server to potentially elevate their privilege. This issue has been addressed and users are recommended to upgrade their Nextcloud Server to version 25.0.8, 26.0.3 or 27.0.1. There are no known workarounds for this vulnerability.
Nextcloud Server before 9.0.52 & ownCloud Server before 9.0.4 are not properly verifying edit check permissions on WebDAV copy actions. The WebDAV endpoint was not properly checking the permission on a WebDAV COPY action. This allowed an authenticated attacker with access to a read-only share to put new files in there. It was not possible to modify existing files.
Nextcloud Server before 9.0.52 & ownCloud Server before 9.0.4 are not properly verifying restore privileges when restoring a file. The restore capability of Nextcloud/ownCloud was not verifying whether a user has only read-only access to a share. Thus a user with read-only access was able to restore old versions.
Nextcloud Server before 9.0.52 & ownCloud Server before 9.0.4 are vulnerable to a content-spoofing attack in the files app. The location bar in the files app was not verifying the passed parameters. An attacker could craft an invalid link to a fake directory structure and use this to display an attacker-controlled error message to the user.
Improper revalidation of permissions in Nextcloud Server prior to 14.0.0, 13.0.6 and 12.0.11 lead to not accepting access restrictions by acess tokens.
Nextcloud talk is a video & audio conferencing app for Nextcloud. In affected versions the talk app does not properly filter access to a conversations member list. As a result an attacker could use this vulnerability to gain information about the members of a Talk conversation, even if they themselves are not members. It is recommended that the Nextcloud Talk is upgraded to 14.0.9 or 15.0.4. There are no known workarounds for this vulnerability.
Nextcloud End-to-end encryption app provides all the necessary APIs to implement End-to-End encryption on the client side. By providing an invalid meta data file, an attacker can make previously dropped files inaccessible. It is recommended that the Nextcloud End-to-end encryption app is upgraded to version 1.12.4 that contains the fix.
Nextcloud Server before 9.0.54 and 10.0.1 & ownCloud Server before 9.0.6 and 9.1.2 suffer from content spoofing in the dav app. The exception message displayed on the DAV endpoints contained partially user-controllable input leading to a potential misrepresentation of information.
Nextcloud richdocuments is a Nextcloud app integrating the office suit Collabora Online. In affected versions the secure view feature of the rich documents app can be bypassed by using unprotected internal API endpoint of the rich documents app. It is recommended that the Nextcloud Office app (richdocuments) is upgraded to 8.0.0-beta.1, 7.0.2 or 6.3.2. Users unable to upgrade may mitigate the issue by taking steps to restrict the ability to download documents. This includes ensuring that the `WOPI configuration` is configured to only serve documents between Nextcloud and Collabora. It is highly recommended to define the list of Collabora server IPs as the allow list within the Office admin settings of Nextcloud.

Nextcloud is an open source content collaboration platform. In Nextcloud Server from versions 32.0.0 to before 32.0.9, and 33.0.0 to before 33.0.3, an authenticated attacker can access attachments of link shares when knowing the share token, circumventing password protection or download restrictions. It is applicable to any file that is shared directly, as the attacker only needs to know a documentId they own, apart of the mentioned share token. For shared folders the attacker has to know or guess a documentId of a file that is included inside the folder, making it much harder to exploit. The attacker can only extract an attachments, but not the file shared file or folder itself. It is recommended that the Nextcloud Server is upgraded to 33.0.3 or 32.0.9.
