Dokploy Vulnerable to Authenticated Remote Code Execution via Command Injection in Docker Container Terminal WebSocket Endpoint

Dokploy is a free, self-hostable Platform as a Service (PaaS). In versions prior to 0.26.6, a critical command injection vulnerability exists in Dokploy's WebSocket endpoint `/docker-container-terminal`. The `containerId` and `activeWay` parameters are directly interpolated into shell commands without sanitization, allowing authenticated attackers to execute arbitrary commands on the host server. Version 0.26.6 fixes the issue.

Dokploy has Command Injection in its Service Operations

Dokploy is a free, self-hostable Platform as a Service (PaaS). Versions 0.26.6 and below have OS command injection through the appName parameter. 3 chained issues cause this problem: inadequate input sanitization, lack of schema validation and direct shell interpolation. User-controlled application names are passed through inadequate sanitization (cleanAppName function only replaces spaces and converts to lowercase) before being interpolated directly into shell commands executed via execAsync() and execAsyncRemote(). An authenticated attacker can inject shell metacharacters (e.g., ;, $(), backticks, |, &) in the appName field during application creation, which are then executed with server-level privileges when service operations (start, stop, remove, scale) are triggered. This issue has been resolved in version 0.26.7.

Dokploy: Remote Code Execution via destinationPath in Container File Upload

Dokploy is a free, self-hostable Platform as a Service (PaaS). In 0.29.1 and earlier, a command injection vulnerability exists in the Docker file upload functionality. When an authenticated user uploads a file to a container, the destinationPath parameter is not properly sanitized and is directly interpolated into a shell command string. By including shell metacharacters such as ; or ", an attacker can escape the intended docker cp command and execute arbitrary OS commands on the Dokploy host.

Dokploy: Remote Code Execution through Path Traversal

Dokploy is a free, self-hostable Platform as a Service (PaaS). In 0.26.5 and earlier, a critical path traversal vulnerability exists in Dokploy v0.26.5 that allows authenticated users to write arbitrary files to the filesystem during application deployment. When combined with Dokploy's remote server deployment feature, this vulnerability enables arbitrary file write to remote server filesystems, automatic remote code execution via cron jobs, complete server compromise, data exfiltration without user interaction, and persistent backdoor installation. This vulnerability bypasses all container isolation on remote server deployments.

Dokploy's Preview Deployments are vulnerable to Remote Code Execution

Dokploy is a free, self-hostable Platform as a Service (PaaS). Prior to version 0.24.3, an unauthenticated preview deployment vulnerability in Dokploy allows any user to execute arbitrary code and access sensitive environment variables by simply opening a pull request on a public repository. This exposes secrets and potentially enables remote code execution, putting all public Dokploy users using these preview deployments at risk. Version 0.24.3 contains a fix for the issue.

Dokploy allows attackers to run arbitrary OS commands on the Dokploy host.

Dokploy is a self-hostable Platform as a Service (PaaS) that simplifies the deployment and management of applications and databases. An authenticated, low-privileged user can run arbitrary OS commands on the Dokploy host. The tRPC procedure docker.getContainersByAppNameMatch interpolates the attacker-supplied appName value into a Docker CLI call without sanitisation, enabling command injection under the Dokploy service account. This vulnerability is fixed in 0.23.7.

Dokploy Improperly Discloses User Information via user.one Endpoint

Dokploy is a self-hostable Platform as a Service (PaaS) that simplifies the deployment and management of applications and databases. An authenticated low-privileged account can retrieve detailed profile information about another users in the same organization by directly invoking user.one. The response discloses personally-identifiable information (PII) such as e-mail address, role, two-factor status, organization ID, and various account flags. The fix will be available in the v0.23.7.

Dokploy: Command Injection via incomplete shell escaping in docker logout (registry deletion)

Dokploy is a free, self-hostable Platform as a Service (PaaS). In 0.29.0 and earlier, the deleteRegistry function in Dokploy (packages/server/src/services/registry.ts) executes docker logout ${response.registryUrl} without shell escaping. In the same file, the docker login command correctly uses shEscape() to prevent command injection. This inconsistency creates a command injection vulnerability when deleting a registry with a crafted registryUrl.

NeuVector Enforcer is vulnerable to Command Injection and Buffer overflow

A vulnerability was identified in NeuVector, where the enforcer used environment variables CLUSTER_RPC_PORT and CLUSTER_LAN_PORT to generate a command to be executed via popen, without first sanitising their values. The entry process of the enforcer container is the monitor process. When the enforcer container stops, the monitor process checks whether the consul subprocess has exited. To perform this check, the monitor process uses the popen function to execute a shell command that determines whether the ports used by the consul subprocess are still active. The values of environment variables CLUSTER_RPC_PORT and CLUSTER_LAN_PORT are used directly to compose shell commands via popen without validation or sanitization. This behavior could allow a malicious user to inject malicious commands through these variables within the enforcer container.

Vela Insecure Defaults

Vela is a Pipeline Automation (CI/CD) framework built on Linux container technology written in Golang. In Vela Server and Vela Worker prior to version 0.16.0 and Vela UI prior to version 0.17.0, some default configurations for Vela allow exploitation and container breakouts. Users should upgrade to Server 0.16.0, Worker 0.16.0, and UI 0.17.0 to fix the issue. After upgrading, Vela administrators will need to explicitly change the default settings to configure Vela as desired. Some of the fixes will interrupt existing workflows and will require Vela administrators to modify default settings. However, not applying the patch (or workarounds) will continue existing risk exposure. Some workarounds are available. Vela administrators can adjust the worker's `VELA_RUNTIME_PRIVILEGED_IMAGES` setting to be explicitly empty, leverage the `VELA_REPO_ALLOWLIST` setting on the server component to restrict access to a list of repositories that are allowed to be enabled, and/or audit enabled repositories and disable pull_requests if they are not needed.

GitHub Actions Runner vulnerable to Docker Command Escaping

GitHub Actions Runner is the application that runs a job from a GitHub Actions workflow. The actions runner invokes the docker cli directly in order to run job containers, service containers, or container actions. A bug in the logic for how the environment is encoded into these docker commands was discovered in versions prior to 2.296.2, 2.293.1, 2.289.4, 2.285.2, and 2.283.4 that allows an input to escape the environment variable and modify that docker command invocation directly. Jobs that use container actions, job containers, or service containers alongside untrusted user inputs in environment variables may be vulnerable. The Actions Runner has been patched, both on `github.com` and hotfixes for GHES and GHAE customers in versions 2.296.2, 2.293.1, 2.289.4, 2.285.2, and 2.283.4. GHES and GHAE customers may want to patch their instance in order to have their runners automatically upgrade to these new runner versions. As a workaround, users may consider removing any container actions, job containers, or service containers from their jobs until they are able to upgrade their runner versions.

Budibase: SCIM endpoints lack role-based authorization, BASIC users CRUD tenant users

Budibase is an open-source low-code platform. Prior to 3.38.2, packages/worker/src/api/routes/global/scim.ts attaches only two middlewares to the SCIM router: requireSCIM (checks the Enterprise feature flag and SCIM config) and doInScimContext (sets the SCIM request context). There is no role check. Any authenticated user who reaches the worker (BASIC role, workspace-scoped builder, anyone) can call SCIM endpoints and CRUD every user and group in the tenant. Vowpal Wabbit: Shell injection via crafted PR title in python_checks.yml allows arbitrary command execution on CI runner

Vowpal Wabbit is a machine learning system. The workflow .github/workflows/python_checks.yml embeds ${{ github.event.pull_request.title }} directly inside double-quoted bash strings in four separate steps across four jobs, each passing it as a CLI argument to the Python test script run_tests_model_gen_and_load.py. The shell interprets the expanded string before invoking Python, allowing an attacker to break out of the quotes and execute arbitrary commands on the runner. The pull_request trigger fires on PRs targeting any branch (branches: ['*']), with no additional access gate. This vulnerability is fixed by the 998e390e80a7e8192d7849b7784bc113dbd190ad commit.

Termix is a web-based server management platform with SSH terminal, tunneling, and file editing capabilities. Prior to version 2.1.0, all Docker container management endpoints in Termix interpolate the containerId URL path parameter and WebSocket message field directly into shell commands executed via ssh2.Client.exec() on remote managed servers without any sanitization or validation. Apache Polaris: staged table creation could vend storage credentials for unvalidated locations

Apache Polaris can issue broad temporary ("vended") storage credentials during staged table creation before the effective table location has been validated or durably reserved. Those temporary credentials are meant to limit the scope of accessible table data and metadata, but this scope limitation becomes attacker- directed because the attacker can choose a reachable target location. In the confirmed variant, if the caller supplies a custom `location` during stage create and requests credential vending, Apache Polaris uses that location to construct delegated storage credentials immediately. The stage-create path itself neither runs the normal location validation nor the overlap checks before those credentials are issued. Closely related to that, the staged-create flow also accepts `write.data.path` / `write.metadata.path` in the request properties and feeds those location overrides into the same effective table location set used for credential vending. Those fields are secondary to the main custom-`location` exploit, but they are still attacker-influenced location inputs that should be validated before any credentials are issued.

Improper access control allows admin privilege escalation in Argo CD

Argo CD is a declarative, GitOps continuous delivery tool for Kubernetes. All unpatched versions of Argo CD starting with 1.0.0 are vulnerable to an improper access control bug, allowing a malicious user to potentially escalate their privileges to admin-level. Versions starting with 0.8.0 and 0.5.0 contain limited versions of this issue. To perform exploits, an authorized Argo CD user must have push access to an Application's source git or Helm repository or `sync` and `override` access to an Application. Once a user has that access, different exploitation levels are possible depending on their other RBAC privileges. A patch for this vulnerability has been released in Argo CD versions 2.3.2, 2.2.8, and 2.1.14. Some mitigation measures are available but do not serve as a substitute for upgrading. To avoid privilege escalation, limit who has push access to Application source repositories or `sync` + `override` access to Applications; and limit which repositories are available in projects where users have `update` access to Applications. To avoid unauthorized resource inspection/tampering, limit who has `delete`, `get`, or `action` access to Applications.

Arcane: Missing admin authorization on git repository endpoints allows non-admin users to exfiltrate stored Git credentials and tamper with GitOps configs

Arcane is an interface for managing Docker containers, images, networks, and volumes. Prior to 1.19.0, Arcane's huma-based REST API exposes nine endpoints under /api/customize/git-repositories and /api/git-repositories/sync for managing GitOps source repositories and their stored credentials. Eight of those endpoints (list, create, get, update, delete, test, listBranches, browseFiles) never call the checkAdmin(ctx) helper that every other admin-managed resource (container registries, environments, users, API keys, swarm, settings, system, notifications, events) uses, and the huma authentication middleware deliberately enforces only authentication, not the admin role. As a result, any logged-in user with the default user role can list, create, modify, delete, and test git repository configurations. By repointing an existing repository's URL to an attacker-controlled host while omitting the token/sshKey fields (which UpdateRepository only rewrites when explicitly supplied), the attacker causes Arcane to decrypt the legitimate PAT/SSH key on its next /test, /branches, or /files call and present it as HTTP Basic auth (or SSH key auth) to the attacker's host — producing a one-step exfiltration of plaintext Git credentials. This vulnerability is fixed in 1.19.0.

Shopper: Authorization bypass and RBAC privilege escalation in team settings

Shopper is a Headless e-commerce Admin Panel. Prior to 2.8.0, two distinct authorization defects in the team settings allowed any authenticated panel user to take over the RBAC system. Settings/Team/Index had no mount() authorization. Any authenticated user could load the page and use its public actions to create new roles and delete other users, including administrators. Settings/Team/RolePermission gated its write actions on the read-only view_users permission. Any user holding view_users could grant themselves or any other user arbitrary permissions, including manage_users and edit_orders, effectively escalating to full panel administrator from a read-only account. Combined, these two defects allow a low-privilege authenticated user to obtain administrator privileges and remove the legitimate administrators from the panel. This vulnerability is fixed in 2.8.0.

Prior to version 10.0.35, a low-privileged authenticated user (ProjectMember) can achieve remote command execution on the Probe container/host by abusing Synthetic Monitor Playwright script execution. Synthetic monitor code is executed in VMRunner.runCodeInNodeVM with a live Playwright page object in context. The sandbox relies on a denylist of blocked properties/methods, but it is incomplete. Specifically, _browserType and launchServer are not blocked, so attacker code can traverse `page.context().browser()._browserType.launchServer(...)` and spawn arbitrary processes. Version 10.0.35 contains a patch.

Flowise: Authenticated RCE Via MCP Adapters

Flowise is a drag & drop user interface to build a customized large language model flow. Prior to 3.1.0, due to unsafe serialization of stdio commands in the MCP adapter, an authenticated attacker can add an MCP stdio server with an arbitrary command, achieving command execution. The vulnerability lies in a bug in the input sanitization from the “Custom MCP” configuration in http://localhost:3000/canvas - where any user can add a new MCP, when doing so - adding a new MCP using stdio, the user can add any command, even though your code have input sanitization checks such as validateCommandInjection and validateArgsForLocalFileAccess, and a list of predefined specific safe commands - these commands, for example "npx" can be combined with code execution arguments ("-c touch /tmp/pwn") that enable direct code execution on the underlying OS. This vulnerability is fixed in 3.1.0.

Nginx UI: Unencrypted Storage of DNS API Tokens and ACME Private Keys

Nginx UI is a web user interface for the Nginx web server. In versions 2.3.3 and prior, Nginx-UI contains an Insecure Direct Object Reference (IDOR) vulnerability that allows any authenticated user to access, modify, and delete resources belonging to other users. The application's base Model struct lacks a user_id field, and all resource endpoints perform queries by ID without verifying user ownership, enabling complete authorization bypass in multi-user environments. At time of publication, there are no publicly available patches.

Vitess users with backup storage access can gain unauthorized access to production deployment environments

Vitess is a database clustering system for horizontal scaling of MySQL. Prior to versions 23.0.3 and 22.0.4, anyone with read/write access to the backup storage location (e.g. an S3 bucket) can manipulate backup manifest files so that arbitrary code is later executed when that backup is restored. This can be used to provide that attacker with unintended/unauthorized access to the production deployment environment — allowing them to access information available in that environment as well as run any additional arbitrary commands there. Versions 23.0.3 and 22.0.4 contain a patch. Some workarounds are available. Those who intended to use an external decompressor then can always specify that decompressor command in the `--external-decompressor` flag value for `vttablet` and `vtbackup`. That then overrides any value specified in the manifest file. Those who did not intend to use an external decompressor, nor an internal one, can specify a value such as `cat` or `tee` in the `--external-decompressor` flag value for `vttablet` and `vtbackup` to ensure that a harmless command is always used.

Cursor sandbox escape via Git hooks

Cursor is a code editor built for programming with AI. Sandbox escape via writing .git configuration was possible in versions prior to 2.5. A malicious agent (ie prompt injection) could write to improperly protected .git settings, including git hooks, which may cause out-of-sandbox RCE next time they are triggered. No user interaction was required as Git executes these commands automatically. Fixed in version 2.5.
