FreeSWITCH: Pre-authentication `userVariables` injection in `mod_verto`

FreeSWITCH is a Software Defined Telecom Stack enabling the digital transformation from proprietary telecom switches to a software implementation that runs on any commodity hardware. Prior to version 1.11.1, mod_verto's check_auth userauth branch wrote request-supplied userVariables into the connection state before comparing the supplied password. The writes are append-only and the connection is not closed on a failed compare, so values declared on bad-password attempts persisted on the same WebSocket and carried into a subsequent successful login on that connection. This issue has been patched in version 1.11.1.

FreeSWITCH: Pre-authentication session eviction via attacker-chosen `sessid` in `mod_verto`

FreeSWITCH is a Software Defined Telecom Stack enabling the digital transformation from proprietary telecom switches to a software implementation that runs on any commodity hardware. Prior to version 1.11.1, mod_verto's JSON-RPC handler bound the connection to the client-supplied sessid on the first frame, before the authentication gate. Binding inserts the connection into the global session hash and, on a key collision, drops the prior occupant of that slot — sending it a verto.punt, detaching its calls, and closing its socket. An unauthenticated network attacker who knows a target session UUID could therefore evict the legitimate client. This issue has been patched in version 1.11.1.

FreeSWITCH does not authenticate SIP SUBSCRIBE requests by default

FreeSWITCH is a Software Defined Telecom Stack enabling the digital transformation from proprietary telecom switches to a software implementation that runs on any commodity hardware. By default, SIP requests of the type SUBSCRIBE are not authenticated in the affected versions of FreeSWITCH. Abuse of this security issue allows attackers to subscribe to user agent event notifications without the need to authenticate. This abuse poses privacy concerns and might lead to social engineering or similar attacks. For example, attackers may be able to monitor the status of target SIP extensions. Although this issue was fixed in version v1.10.6, installations upgraded to the fixed version of FreeSWITCH from an older version, may still be vulnerable if the configuration is not updated accordingly. Software upgrades do not update the configuration by default. SIP SUBSCRIBE messages should be authenticated by default so that FreeSWITCH administrators do not need to explicitly set the `auth-subscriptions` parameter. When following such a recommendation, a new parameter can be introduced to explicitly disable authentication.

FreeSWITCH does not authenticate SIP MESSAGE requests, leading to spam and message spoofing

FreeSWITCH is a Software Defined Telecom Stack enabling the digital transformation from proprietary telecom switches to a software implementation that runs on any commodity hardware. Prior to version 1.10.7, FreeSWITCH does not authenticate SIP MESSAGE requests, leading to spam and message spoofing. By default, SIP requests of the type MESSAGE (RFC 3428) are not authenticated in the affected versions of FreeSWITCH. MESSAGE requests are relayed to SIP user agents registered with the FreeSWITCH server without requiring any authentication. Although this behaviour can be changed by setting the `auth-messages` parameter to `true`, it is not the default setting. Abuse of this security issue allows attackers to send SIP MESSAGE messages to any SIP user agent that is registered with the server without requiring authentication. Additionally, since no authentication is required, chat messages can be spoofed to appear to come from trusted entities. Therefore, abuse can lead to spam and enable social engineering, phishing and similar attacks. This issue is patched in version 1.10.7. Maintainers recommend that this SIP message type is authenticated by default so that FreeSWITCH administrators do not need to be explicitly set the `auth-messages` parameter. When following such a recommendation, a new parameter can be introduced to explicitly disable authentication.

Apache DolphinScheduler 3.0.0 to 3.1.1 python gateway has improper authentication

On version 3.0.0 through 3.1.1, Apache DolphinScheduler's python gateway suffered from improper authentication: an attacker could use a socket bytes attack without authentication. This issue has been fixed from version 3.1.2 onwards. For users who use version 3.0.0 to 3.1.1, you can turn off the python-gateway function by changing the value `python-gateway.enabled=false` in configuration file `application.yaml`. If you are using the python gateway, please upgrade to version 3.1.2 or above.

Nextcloud: Files Lock app allows users to lock and unlock files of other users

Nextcloud is an open source content collaboration platform. In Nextcloud Server from versions 32.0.0 to before 32.0.2, and 33.0.0 to before 33.0.1, the files_lock app did not properly validate the ownership of files when processing DAV lock and unlock requests. An authenticated user could lock or unlock files belonging to other users by targeting their absolute WebDAV paths. Additionally, lock tokens were disclosed to unauthorized callers in error responses, allowing attackers to remove token-based locks placed by other users' client applications. It is recommended that the Nextcloud Server is upgraded to 32.0.2 or 33.0.1. It is recommended that the Nextcloud Enterprise Server is upgraded to 31.0.14.4 or 32.0.2 or 33.0.1
