Ghost: Mobiledoc image-size fetch SSRF

Ghost is a Node.js content management system. From 6.19.4 until 6.21.1, when re-rendering posts, Ghost would refetch missing image dimensions by issuing an outbound HTTP request to the URL stored on an image card — without restricting that URL to trusted image hosts. An authenticated staff user able to create or edit posts could therefore point an image card at an attacker-chosen host and cause the Ghost server to request it on their behalf, including hosts on internal networks or cloud instance metadata endpoints that would not normally be reachable from the public internet. This vulnerability is fixed in 6.21.1.

Ghost: File Upload Content-Type Spoofing

Ghost is a Node.js content management system. From 6.19.4 until 6.21.1, insufficient validation of the client-supplied Content-Type on Ghost's Admin API file upload endpoint allowed uploaded files to be served from the site with an attacker-chosen content type on S3/GCS storage backends. On installations that serve uploaded files from the same origin as the site, this could have been used to facilitate stored cross-site scripting against site visitors or staff. This vulnerability is fixed in 6.21.1.

Ghost: Private IP filtering bypass to make server-side requests to internal services

Ghost is a Node.js content management system. From 6.0.9 until 6.21.1, when making an external request, it is possible to bypass the IP filter that ensures the request isn't going to an internal service using an IPv6 literal which maps to a private IPv4 address. This vulnerability is fixed in 6.21.1.

Ghost: Server-side request forgery via DNS rebinding in external request handling

Ghost is a Node.js content management system. From 6.0.9 until 6.21.1, Ghost’s private-IP check for outbound HTTP requests could be bypassed via DNS rebinding, allowing an attacker to coerce the Ghost server into reaching hosts on internal networks through features that issue external fetches. This vulnerability is fixed in 6.21.1.

Ghost has SSRF via External Media Inliner

Ghost is a Node.js content management system. In versions 5.38.0 through 5.130.5 and 6.0.0 through 6.10.3, a vulnerability in Ghost’s media inliner mechanism allows staff users in possession of a valid authentication token for the Ghost Admin API to exfiltrate data from internal systems via SSRF. This issue has been patched in versions 5.130.6 and 6.11.0.

Apache Shiro Jakarta EE module: Open redirect and SSRF (requires valid credentials)

With valid login credentials, URL Redirection to Untrusted Site ('Open Redirect'), Server-Side Request Forgery (SSRF) vulnerability in Apache Shiro. This issue affects Apache Shiro from 2.0-alpha to 2.1.0, and 3.0.0-alpha-1, only when using shiro-jakarta-ee integration module. Users are recommended to upgrade to version 2.1.1, or 3.0.0-alpha-2 or later, which fixes the issue by encrypting the cookie. After successful login, Jakarta EE integration module uses shiroSavedRequest cookie to redirect to a particular web page after login. This cookie was not validated, and can be forged to send a HTTP GET request from the server itself to an arbitrary URL from the cookie.

Apache Druid: Server-Side Request Forgery and Cross-Site Scripting

Severity: medium (5.8) / important Server-Side Request Forgery (SSRF), Improper Neutralization of Input During Web Page Generation ('Cross-site Scripting'), URL Redirection to Untrusted Site ('Open Redirect') vulnerability in Apache Druid. This issue affects all previous Druid versions. When using the Druid management proxy, a request that has a specially crafted URL could be used to redirect the request to an arbitrary server instead. This has the potential for XSS or XSRF. The user is required to be authenticated for this exploit. The management proxy is enabled in Druid's out-of-box configuration. It may be disabled to mitigate this vulnerability. If the management proxy is disabled, some web console features will not work properly, but core functionality is unaffected. Users are recommended to upgrade to Druid 31.0.2 or Druid 32.0.1, which fixes the issue.

Greenshift – animation and page builder blocks <= 9.0.0 - Missing Authorization to Authenticated (Subscriber+) Server-Side Request Forgery and Stored Cross-Site Scripting

The Greenshift – animation and page builder blocks plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Authenticated (Subscriber+) Server-Side Request Forgery and Stored Cross Site Scripting in all versions up to, and including, 9.0.0 due to a missing capability check in the greenshift_download_file_localy function, along with no SSRF protection and sanitization on uploaded SVG files. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with Subscriber-level access and above, to make web requests to arbitrary locations originating from the web application that can also be leveraged to download malicious SVG files containing Cross-Site Scripting payloads to the server. On Cloud-based servers, attackers could retrieve the instance metadata. The issue was partially patched in version 8.9.9 and fully patched in version 9.0.1.

nefly-ipx subject to Server-Side Request Forgery and Stored Cross-Site Scripting via Cache Poisoning and Improper Host Validation

netlify-ipx is an on-Demand image optimization for Netlify using ipx. In versions prior to 1.2.3, an attacker can bypass the source image domain allowlist by sending specially crafted headers, causing the handler to load and return arbitrary images. Because the response is cached globally, this image will then be served to visitors without requiring those headers to be set. XSS can be achieved by requesting a malicious SVG with embedded scripts, which would then be served from the site domain. Note that this does not apply to images loaded in `<img>` tags, as scripts do not execute in this context. The image URL can be set in the header independently of the request URL, meaning any site images that have not previously been cached can have their cache poisoned. This problem has been fixed in version 1.2.3. As a workaround, cached content can be cleared by re-deploying the site.

The Popup Box WordPress plugin before 5.5.0 does not properly validate nonces in the add_or_edit_popupbox() function before saving popup data, allowing unauthenticated attackers to perform Cross-Site Request Forgery attacks.
