dhcpcd Heap Use-After-Free in dhcp6_deprecateaddrs via DHCPv6 RENEW

dhcpcd through 10.3.2, fixed in commit 5733d3c, contains a heap use-after-free vulnerability that allows unauthenticated same-link attackers to crash the daemon by sending a crafted DHCPv6 RENEW reply with RFC6603 OPTION_PD_EXCLUDE and both preferred and valid lifetimes set to zero. Attackers acting as or impersonating a DHCPv6 server can trigger dhcp6_deprecatedele() to free a delegated child address while an outer TAILQ_FOREACH_SAFE iterator in dhcp6_deprecateaddrs() still holds the freed pointer, causing a use-after-free when TAILQ_REMOVE is reached.

dhcpcd Stack Out-of-Bounds Write in dhcp6_makemessage()

dhcpcd through 10.3.2, fixed in commit 2f00c7b, contains a one-byte stack out-of-bounds write vulnerability in dhcp6_makemessage() in src/dhcp6.c that allows unauthenticated same-link attackers to write beyond a fixed local buffer by serializing an oversized RFC6603 OPTION_PD_EXCLUDE option body. Attackers can send a crafted DHCPv6 ADVERTISE message containing an IA_PD IAPREFIX /0 with a valid OPTION_PD_EXCLUDE using an exclude prefix length of /121 through /128 to trigger the out-of-bounds write and potentially corrupt adjacent stack memory.

dhcpcd Heap Use-After-Free via Control Socket Handling

dhcpcd through 10.3.2, fixed in commit 78ea09e, contains a heap use-after-free vulnerability in the control socket handling within src/control.c that allows local unprivileged attackers to trigger memory corruption when privilege separation is disabled. Attackers can connect to the control socket and send a privileged command such as -x, causing control_recvdata() to free the client object while the same READ+HANGUP event subsequently reaches control_hangup() with the stale pointer, resulting in a use-after-free condition exploitable in deployments using --disable-privsep or where privsep initialization has failed with the control socket operating in mode 0666.

PX4 autopilot has a heap Use-After-Free in MavlinkShell::available() via SERIAL_CONTROL Race Condition

PX4 autopilot is a flight control solution for drones. Prior to 1.17.0-rc1, a heap-use-after-free is detected in the MavlinkShell::available() function. The issue is caused by a race condition between the MAVLink receiver thread (which handles shell creation/destruction) and the telemetry sender thread (which polls the shell for available output). The issue is remotely triggerable via MAVLink SERIAL_CONTROL messages (ID 126), which can be sent by an external ground station or automated script. This vulnerability is fixed in 1.17.0-rc1.

Junos OS and Junos OS Evolved: In a EVPN-VXLAN scenario state changes on adjacent systems can cause an l2ald process crash

A Use-After-Free vulnerability in the Layer 2 Address Learning Daemon (l2ald) of Juniper Networks Junos OS and Junos OS Evolved allows an unauthenticated, adjacent attacker to cause l2ald to crash leading to a Denial-of-Service (DoS). In an EVPN-VXLAN scenario, when state updates are received and processed by the affected system, the correct order of some processing steps is not ensured, which can lead to an l2ald crash and restart. Whether the crash occurs depends on system internal timing which is outside the attackers control. This issue affects: Junos OS:  * All versions before 20.4R3-S8, * 21.2 versions before 21.2R3-S6, * 21.3 versions before 21.3R3-S5, * 21.4 versions before 21.4R3-S4, * 22.1 versions before 22.1R3-S3, * 22.2 versions before 22.2R3-S1, * 22.3 versions before 22.3R3,, * 22.4 versions before 22.4R2; Junos OS Evolved:  * All versions before 20.4R3-S8-EVO, * 21.2-EVO versions before 21.2R3-S6-EVO,  * 21.3-EVO versions before 21.3R3-S5-EVO, * 21.4-EVO versions before 21.4R3-S4-EVO, * 22.1-EVO versions before 22.1R3-S3-EVO, * 22.2-EVO versions before 22.2R3-S1-EVO, * 22.3-EVO versions before 22.3R3-EVO, * 22.4-EVO versions before 22.4R2-EVO.

Junos OS: QFX Series: The PFE may crash when a lot of MAC addresses are being learned and aged

A Use After Free vulnerability in the Layer 2 Address Learning Manager (l2alm) of Juniper Networks Junos OS on QFX Series allows an adjacent attacker to cause the Packet Forwarding Engine to crash and restart, leading to a Denial of Service (DoS). The PFE may crash when a lot of MAC learning and aging happens, but due to a Race Condition (Concurrent Execution using Shared Resource with Improper Synchronization) that is outside the attackers direct control. This issue affects: Juniper Networks Junos OS versions prior to 19.4R3-S10 on QFX Series; 20.2 versions prior to 20.2R3-S7 on QFX Series; 20.3 versions prior to 20.3R3-S6 on QFX Series; 20.4 versions prior to 20.4R3-S5 on QFX Series; 21.1 versions prior to 21.1R3-S4 on QFX Series; 21.2 versions prior to 21.2R3-S3 on QFX Series; 21.3 versions prior to 21.3R3-S3 on QFX Series; 21.4 versions prior to 21.4R3 on QFX Series; 22.1 versions prior to 22.1R3 on QFX Series; 22.2 versions prior to 22.2R2 on QFX Series.
