Org.keycloak/keycloak-services: session fixation in oidc login flow that can lead to account takeover

A session fixation vulnerability was found in Keycloak's login-actions endpoints. An unauthenticated attacker could exploit this flaw by pre-creating an authentication session and tricking a victim into visiting a maliciously crafted link. By leveraging the /login-actions/restart endpoint—which processes session handles without adequate CSRF protection or cookie ownership validation—an attacker can reset the authentication flow state. This causes Single Sign-On (SSO) to authenticate the victim transparently upon clicking the link, allowing the attacker to hijack the required-action form without needing the victim's credentials. A successful exploit could lead to complete account takeover, including highly privileged administrative accounts.

Grub2: bypass the grub password protection feature

An authentication bypass flaw was found in GRUB due to the way that GRUB uses the UUID of a device to search for the configuration file that contains the password hash for the GRUB password protection feature. An attacker capable of attaching an external drive such as a USB stick containing a file system with a duplicate UUID (the same as in the "/boot/" file system) can bypass the GRUB password protection feature on UEFI systems, which enumerate removable drives before non-removable ones. This issue was introduced in a downstream patch in Red Hat's version of grub2 and does not affect the upstream package.

HTTP Method Spoofing in Opencast

Opencast is an Open Source Lecture Capture & Video Management for Education. Opencast versions prior to 9.10 allow HTTP method spoofing, allowing to change the assumed HTTP method via URL parameter. This allows attackers to turn HTTP GET requests into PUT requests or an HTTP form to send DELETE requests. This bypasses restrictions otherwise put on these types of requests and aids in cross-site request forgery (CSRF) attacks, which would otherwise not be possible. The vulnerability allows attackers to craft links or forms which may change the server state. This issue is fixed in Opencast 9.10 and 10.0. You can mitigate the problem by setting the `SameSite=Strict` attribute for your cookies. If this is a viable option for you depends on your integrations. We strongly recommend updating in any case.

Hijacking Caido instance during the initial setup via DNS Rebinding to achieve RCE

Caido is a web security auditing toolkit. Prior to version 0.48.0, due to the lack of protection for DNS rebinding, Caido can be loaded on an attacker-controlled domain. This allows a malicious website to hijack the authentication flow of Caido and achieve code execution. A malicious website loaded in the browser can hijack the locally running Caido instance and achieve remote command execution during the initial setup. Even if the Caido instance is already configured, an attacker can initiate the authentication flow by performing DNS rebinding. In this case, the victim needs to authorize the request on dashboard.caido.io. Users should upgrade to version 0.48.0 to receive a patch.

CWE-290: Authentication Bypass by Spoofing vulnerability exists that could cause a denial of service and loss of confidentiality and integrity of controllers when conducting a Man-In-The-Middle attack between the controller and the engineering workstation while a valid user is establishing a communication session. This vulnerability is inherent to Diffie Hellman algorithm which does not protect against Man-In-The-Middle attacks.
