A malicious 3rd party with local access to the Windows machine where MongoDB Compass is installed can execute arbitrary software with the privileges of the user who is running MongoDB Compass. This issue affects: MongoDB Inc. MongoDB Compass 1.x version 1.3.0 on Windows and later versions; 1.x versions prior to 1.25.0 on Windows.
An elevation of privilege exists in Windows Audio Service. An attacker who successfully exploited the vulnerability could run arbitrary code with elevated privileges. To exploit the vulnerability, an attacker could run a specially crafted application that could exploit the vulnerability. This vulnerability by itself does not allow arbitrary code to be run. However, this vulnerability could be used in conjunction with one or more vulnerabilities (e.g. a remote code execution vulnerability and another elevation of privilege) that could take advantage of the elevated privileges when running. The update addresses the vulnerability by correcting how the Windows Audio Service handles processes these requests.
Under certain conditions, a low privileged attacker could load a specially crafted file during installation or upgrade to escalate privileges on Windows and Linux hosts.

Windows Local Security Authority (LSA) Elevation of Privilege Vulnerability
The ThreadPool class in Windows Vista Gold and SP1, and Server 2008, does not properly implement isolation among a set of distinct processes that (1) all run under the NetworkService account or (2) all run under the LocalService account, which allows local users to gain privileges by leveraging incorrect thread ACLs to access the resources of one of the processes, aka "Windows Thread Pool ACL Weakness Vulnerability."
VMware Tools (12.0.0, 11.x.y and 10.x.y) contains a local privilege escalation vulnerability. A malicious actor with local non-administrative access to the Guest OS can escalate privileges as a root user in the virtual machine.

Adobe Creative Cloud Desktop Application versions 5.1 and earlier have a lack of exploit mitigations vulnerability. Successful exploitation could lead to privilege escalation.
A Missing Impersonation Privilege Escalation vulnerability in Trend Micro Security 2018 (Consumer) products could allow a local attacker to escalate privileges on vulnerable installations. An attacker must first obtain the ability to execute low-privileged code on the target system in order to exploit the vulnerability.
Windows Installer Elevation of Privilege Vulnerability
A vulnerability in the Cisco Umbrella Enterprise Roaming Client (ERC) could allow an authenticated, local attacker to elevate privileges to Administrator. To exploit the vulnerability, the attacker must authenticate with valid local user credentials. This vulnerability is due to improper implementation of file system permissions, which could allow non-administrative users to place files within restricted directories. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability by placing an executable file within the restricted directory, which when executed by the ERC client, would run with Administrator privileges.
AppContainer in Windows 10 Gold, 1511, 1607, 1703 and 1709, Windows Server 2016 and Windows Server, version 1709 allows an elevation of privilege vulnerability due to the way constrained impersonations are handled, aka "Windows AppContainer Elevation Of Privilege Vulnerability".

Pritunl Client through 1.2.3019.52 on Windows allows local privilege escalation, related to an ACL entry for CREATOR OWNER in platform_windows.go.
Privilege Escalation vulnerability in McAfee Exploit Detection and Response (EDR) for Windows prior to 3.1.0 Hotfix 1 allows a malicious script or program to perform functions that the local executing user has not been granted access to.
maintenservice_installer.exe in the Maintenance Service Installer in Mozilla Firefox before 29.0 and Firefox ESR 24.x before 24.5 on Windows allows local users to gain privileges by placing a Trojan horse DLL file into a temporary directory at an unspecified point in the update process.
IBM Db2 for Linux, UNIX and Windows 9.7, 10.1, 10.5, 11.1, and 11.5 is vulnerable to an information disclosure in some scenarios due to unauthorized access caused by improper privilege management when CREATE OR REPLACE command is used. IBM X-Force ID: 225979.
In affected versions of Octopus Deploy it is possible to unmask sensitive variables by using variable preview.
The Mozilla Windows updater can be called by a non-privileged user to delete an arbitrary local file by passing a special path to the callback parameter through the Mozilla Maintenance Service, which has privileged access. Note: This attack requires local system access and only affects Windows. Other operating systems are not affected. This vulnerability affects Firefox ESR < 45.8 and Firefox < 52.
IBM Db2 for Windows (includes Db2 Connect Server) 10.5, 11.1, and 11.5 could allow a local user to escalate their privileges to the SYSTEM user using the MSI repair functionality. IBM X-Force ID: 270402.
A remote code execution vulnerability exists in the way that Microsoft Graphics Components handle objects in memory, aka 'Microsoft Graphics Components Remote Code Execution Vulnerability'.
A vulnerability, which was classified as problematic, was found in ShadeYouVPN.com Client 2.0.1.11. Affected is an unknown function. The manipulation leads to improper privilege management. Local access is required to approach this attack. The exploit has been disclosed to the public and may be used. Upgrading to version 2.0.1.12 is able to address this issue. It is recommended to upgrade the affected component.
