An email address enumeration vulnerability exists in the password reset function of SEO Panel version 4.10.0. This allows an attacker to guess which emails exist on the system.
A vulnerability was found in Nway Pro 9. It has been rated as problematic. Affected by this issue is the function ajax_login_submit_form of the file login\index.php of the component Argument Handler. The manipulation of the argument rsargs[] leads to information exposure through error message. The attack may be launched remotely. VDB-255266 is the identifier assigned to this vulnerability. NOTE: The vendor was contacted early about this disclosure but did not respond in any way.
IBM Analytics Content Hub 2.0, 2.1, 2.2, and 2.3 could allow a remote attacker to obtain information about the application framework which could be used in reconnaissance to gather information for future attacks from a detailed technical error message.
Grafana is an open-source platform for monitoring and observability. When using the forget password on the login page, a POST request is made to the `/api/user/password/sent-reset-email` URL. When the username or email does not exist, a JSON response contains a “user not found” message. This leaks information to unauthenticated users and introduces a security risk. This issue has been patched in 9.2.4 and backported to 8.5.15. There are no known workarounds.
Kirby is a Content Management System. Prior to versions 3.5.8.2, 3.6.6.2, 3.7.5.1, and 3.8.1, a user enumeration vulnerability affects all Kirby sites with user accounts unless Kirby's API and Panel are disabled in the config. It can only be exploited for targeted attacks because the attack does not scale to brute force. The problem has been patched in Kirby 3.5.8.2, Kirby 3.6.6.2, Kirby 3.7.5.1, and Kirby 3.8.1. In all of the mentioned releases, the maintainers have rewritten the affected code so that the delay is also inserted after the brute force limit is reached.
Sensitive information could be displayed when a detailed technical error message is posted. This information could disclose environmental details.
Wyse Management Suite Repository 3.8 and below contain an information disclosure vulnerability. A unauthenticated attacker could potentially discover the internal structure of the application and its components and use this information for further vulnerability research.
A vulnerability in Cisco Nexus Dashboard could allow an unauthenticated, remote attacker to enumerate LDAP user accounts. This vulnerability is due to the improper handling of LDAP authentication requests. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability by sending authentication requests to an affected system. A successful exploit could allow an attacker to determine which usernames are valid LDAP user accounts.
After attempting to upload a file that does not meet prerequisites, GMOD Apollo will respond with local path information disclosure
In Eclipse Jetty Server, all 9.x versions, on webapps deployed using default Error Handling, when an intentionally bad query arrives that doesn't match a dynamic url-pattern, and is eventually handled by the DefaultServlet's static file serving, the bad characters can trigger a java.nio.file.InvalidPathException which includes the full path to the base resource directory that the DefaultServlet and/or webapp is using. If this InvalidPathException is then handled by the default Error Handler, the InvalidPathException message is included in the error response, revealing the full server path to the requesting system.
An issue was discovered in Joomla! Core before 3.8.8. The web install application would autofill password fields after either a form validation error or navigating to a previous install step, and display the plaintext password for the administrator account at the confirmation screen.
Generation of Error Message Containing Sensitive Information in GitHub repository nocodb/nocodb prior to 0.91.7+.
DSpace open source software is a repository application which provides durable access to digital resources. dspace-jspui is a UI component for DSpace. When an "Internal System Error" occurs in the JSPUI, then entire exception (including stack trace) is available. Information in this stacktrace may be useful to an attacker in launching a more sophisticated attack. This vulnerability only impacts the JSPUI. This issue has been fixed in version 6.4. users are advised to upgrade. Users unable to upgrade should disable the display of error messages in their internal.jsp file.
The application allowed for Unauthenticated User Enumeration by interacting with an unsecured endpoint to retrieve information on each account within the system.
Leakage of stack traces in remote access to backup & restore in earlier versions than ProSyst mBS SDK 8.2.6 and Bosch IoT Gateway Software 9.2.0 allows remote attackers to gather information about the file system structure.
In APache APISIX before 3.13.1, the jwt-auth plugin has a security issue that leaks the user's secret key because the error message returned from the dependency lua-resty-jwt contains sensitive information.
In Divante vue-storefront-api through 1.11.1 and storefront-api through 1.0-rc.1, as used in VueStorefront PWA, unexpected HTTP requests lead to an exception that discloses the error stack trace, with absolute file paths and Node.js module names.
IBM InfoSphere Information Server 11.7 could allow a remote attacker to obtain sensitive information when a detailed technical error message is returned in the browser. This information could be used in further attacks against the system.
In Shopware before 6.2.3, the database password is leaked to an unauthenticated user when a DriverException occurs and verbose error handling is enabled.
An issue was discovered in GitLab Community and Enterprise Edition before 11.6.10, 11.7.x before 11.7.6, and 11.8.x before 11.8.1. It allows Information Exposure.
Barco Control Room Management Suite web application, which is part of TransForm N before 3.14, is exposing a license file upload mechanism. By tweaking the license file name, the returned error message exposes internal directory path details.
In affected versions of Octopus Server it is possible to reveal the existence of resources in a space that the user does not have access to due to verbose error messaging.
An issue was discovered in Joomla! 3.0.0 through 3.10.6 & 4.0.0 through 4.1.0. Uploading a file name of an excess length causes the error. This error brings up the screen with the path of the source code of the web application.
A flaw was found in RESTEasy client in all versions of RESTEasy up to 4.5.6.Final. It may allow client users to obtain the server's potentially sensitive information when the server got WebApplicationException from the RESTEasy client call. The highest threat from this vulnerability is to data confidentiality.
The web console login form in ovirt-engine before version 4.2.3 returned different errors for non-existent users and invalid passwords, allowing an attacker to discover the names of valid user accounts.
An issue was discovered in GitLab Community and Enterprise Edition 8.3 through 11.11. It allows Information Exposure through an Error Message.
An Information Disclosure vulnerability exists in dhcms 2017-09-18 when entering invalid characters after the normal interface, which causes an error that will leak the physical path.
Play Framework is a web framework for Java and Scala. Verions prior to 2.8.16 are vulnerable to generation of error messages containing sensitive information. Play Framework, when run in dev mode, shows verbose errors for easy debugging, including an exception stack trace. Play does this by configuring its `DefaultHttpErrorHandler` to do so based on the application mode. In its Scala API Play also provides a static object `DefaultHttpErrorHandler` that is configured to always show verbose errors. This is used as a default value in some Play APIs, so it is possible to inadvertently use this version in production. It is also possible to improperly configure the `DefaultHttpErrorHandler` object instance as the injected error handler. Both of these situations could result in verbose errors displaying to users in a production application, which could expose sensitive information from the application. In particular, the constructor for `CORSFilter` and `apply` method for `CORSActionBuilder` use the static object `DefaultHttpErrorHandler` as a default value. This is patched in Play Framework 2.8.16. The `DefaultHttpErrorHandler` object has been changed to use the prod-mode behavior, and `DevHttpErrorHandler` has been introduced for the dev-mode behavior. A workaround is available. When constructing a `CORSFilter` or `CORSActionBuilder`, ensure that a properly-configured error handler is passed. Generally this should be done by using the `HttpErrorHandler` instance provided through dependency injection or through Play's `BuiltInComponents`. Ensure that the application is not using the `DefaultHttpErrorHandler` static object in any code that may be run in production.
IBM Security Verify Governance, Identity Manager 10.01 could allow a remote attacker to obtain sensitive information when a detailed technical error message is returned in the browser. This information could be used in further attacks against the system. IBM X-Force ID: 224915.
White Shark System (WSS) 1.3.2 has web site physical path leakage vulnerability.
An issue was discovered in SmartClient 12.0. If an unauthenticated attacker makes a POST request to /tools/developerConsoleOperations.jsp or /isomorphic/IDACall with malformed XML data in the _transaction parameter, the server replies with a verbose error showing where the application resides (the absolute path). NOTE: the documentation states "These tools are, by default, available to anyone ... so they should only be deployed into a trusted environment. Alternately, the tools can easily be restricted to administrators or end users by protecting the tools path with normal authentication and authorization mechanisms on the web server."
hawtio before versions 2.0-beta-1, 2.0-beta-2 2.0-m1, 2.0-m2, 2.0-m3, and 1.5 is vulnerable to a path traversal that leads to a NullPointerException with a full stacktrace. An attacker could use this flaw to gather undisclosed information from within hawtio's root.
In Sulu before versions 1.6.35, 2.0.10, and 2.1.1, when the "Forget password" feature on the login screen is used, Sulu asks the user for a username or email address. If the given string is not found, a response with a `400` error code is returned, along with a error message saying that this user name does not exist. This enables attackers to retrieve valid usernames. Also, the response of the "Forgot Password" request returns the email address to which the email was sent, if the operation was successful. This information should not be exposed, as it can be used to gather email addresses. This problem was fixed in versions 1.6.35, 2.0.10 and 2.1.1.
Evoko Home 1.31 devices provide different error messages for failed login requests depending on whether the username is valid.
It was found that dropbear before version 2013.59 with GSSAPI leaks whether given username is valid or invalid. When an invalid username is given, the GSSAPI authentication failure was incorrectly counted towards the maximum allowed number of password attempts.
SAP NetWeaver Application Server for ABAP and ABAP Platform allows an attacker to gain unauthorized access to system information. By using a specific URL parameter, an unauthenticated attacker could retrieve details such as system configuration. This has a limited impact on the confidentiality of the application and may be leveraged to facilitate further attacks or exploits.
The Journal theme before 3.1.0 for OpenCart allows exposure of sensitive data via SQL errors.
The GiveWP – Donation Plugin and Fundraising Platform plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Full Path Disclosure in all versions up to, and including, 3.15.1. This is due to the plugin utilizing Symfony and leaving display_errors on within test files. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to retrieve the full path of the web application, which can be used to aid other attacks. The information displayed is not useful on its own, and requires another vulnerability to be present for damage to an affected website.
IBM Verify Identity Access Digital Credentials 24.06 could allow a remote attacker to obtain sensitive information when a detailed technical error message is returned in the browser. This information could be used in further attacks against the system.
Generation of Error Message Containing analytics metadata Information in Apache Superset. This issue affects Apache Superset: before 4.1.0. Users are recommended to upgrade to version 4.1.0, which fixes the issue.
Generation of Error Message Containing Sensitive Information vulnerability in Dave Kiss Vimeography allows Retrieve Embedded Sensitive Data. This issue affects Vimeography: from n/a through 2.4.4.
Sentry is an error tracking and performance monitoring platform. Version 24.11.0, and only version 24.11.0, is vulnerable to a scenario where a specific error message generated by the Sentry platform could include a plaintext Client ID and Client Secret for an application integration. The Client ID and Client Secret would not be displayed in the UI, but would be returned in the underlying HTTP response to the end user. This could occur under the following conditions: An app installation made use of a Search UI component with the `async` flag set to true (default: true); auser types types into the Search Component which creates a request to the third-party for search or query results; and that third-party response may then fail validation and Sentry would return the `select-requester.invalid-response` error code along with a serialized version of a Sentry application containing the integration Client Secret. Should this error be found, it's reasonable to assume the potential exposure of an integration Client Secret. However, an ID and Secret pair alone does not provide direct access to any data. For that secret to be abused an attacker would also need to obtain a valid API token for a Sentry application. Sentry SaaS users do not need to take any action. For Sentry SaaS users, only a single application integration was impacted and the owner has rotated their Client Secret. No abuse of the leaked Client Secret has occurred. As of time of publication, a fix is available for users of Sentry self-hosted in pull request 81038. Sentry self-hosted does not ship with any application integrations. This could only impact self-hosted users that maintain their own integrations. In that case, search for a `select-requester.invalid-response` event. Please note that this error was also shared with another event unrelated to this advisory so Sentry self-hosted users will also need to review the parameters logged for each named event. Sentry self-hosted users may review `select_requester.py` for the instances where these errors can be generated. With the security fix this is no longer a shared event type. Sentry self-hosted users may not install version 24.11.0 and instead wait for the next release. Self-hosted instance that are already running the affected version may consider downgrading to to 24.10.0.
