Due to confusion about ValueTags on JavaScript Objects, an object may pass through the type barrier, resulting in memory corruption and a potentially exploitable crash. *Note: this issue only affects Firefox on ARM64 platforms.* This vulnerability affects Firefox ESR < 68.10, Firefox < 78, and Thunderbird < 68.10.0.
An issue was discovered in Squid 4.0.23 through 4.7. When checking Basic Authentication with HttpHeader::getAuth, Squid uses a global buffer to store the decoded data. Squid does not check that the decoded length isn't greater than the buffer, leading to a heap-based buffer overflow with user controlled data.
The Rust Programming Language Standard Library 1.34.x before 1.34.2 contains a stabilized method which, if overridden, can violate Rust's safety guarantees and cause memory unsafety. If the `Error::type_id` method is overridden then any type can be safely cast to any other type, causing memory safety vulnerabilities in safe code (e.g., out-of-bounds write or read). Code that does not manually implement Error::type_id is unaffected.
An out-of-bounds write vulnerability exists in the handling of the MXIT protocol in Pidgin. Specially crafted MXIT data sent via the server could cause memory corruption resulting in code execution.
In GraphicsMagick from version 1.3.8 to 1.4 snapshot-20190403 Q8, there is a heap-based buffer overflow in the function WritePDBImage of coders/pdb.c, which allows an attacker to cause a denial of service or possibly have unspecified other impact via a crafted image file. This is related to MagickBitStreamMSBWrite in magick/bit_stream.c.
In GraphicsMagick 1.4 snapshot-20190322 Q8, there is a heap-based buffer overflow in the function WriteXWDImage of coders/xwd.c, which allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (application crash) or possibly have unspecified other impact via a crafted image file.
RasterImage.cpp in Mozilla Firefox before 27.0, Firefox ESR 24.x before 24.3, Thunderbird before 24.3, and SeaMonkey before 2.24 does not prevent access to discarded data, which allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code or cause a denial of service (incorrect write operations) via crafted image data, as demonstrated by Goo Create.
An issue was discovered in International Components for Unicode (ICU) for C/C++ through 66.1. An integer overflow, leading to a heap-based buffer overflow, exists in the UnicodeString::doAppend() function in common/unistr.cpp.

TypedArrayObject.cpp in Mozilla Firefox before 28.0, Firefox ESR 24.x before 24.4, Thunderbird before 24.4, and SeaMonkey before 2.25 does not prevent a zero-length transition during use of an ArrayBuffer object, which allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code or cause a denial of service (heap-based out-of-bounds write or read) via a crafted web site.
In GIMP 2.8.22, there is a heap-based buffer overflow in read_channel_data in plug-ins/common/file-psp.c.

When encrypting with a block cipher, if a call to NSC_EncryptUpdate was made with data smaller than the block size, a small out of bounds write could occur. This could have caused heap corruption and a potentially exploitable crash. This vulnerability affects Thunderbird < 68.3, Firefox ESR < 68.3, and Firefox < 71.
Mozilla developers reported memory safety bugs present in Firefox 72. Some of these bugs showed evidence of memory corruption and we presume that with enough effort some of these could have been exploited to run arbitrary code. This vulnerability affects Firefox < 73.

Mozilla developers and community members reported memory safety bugs present in Firefox 72 and Firefox ESR 68.4. Some of these bugs showed evidence of memory corruption and we presume that with enough effort some of these could have been exploited to run arbitrary code. In general, these flaws cannot be exploited through email in the Thunderbird product because scripting is disabled when reading mail, but are potentially risks in browser or browser-like contexts. This vulnerability affects Thunderbird < 68.5, Firefox < 73, and Firefox < ESR68.5.
In PHP versions 7.3.x below 7.3.16 and 7.4.x below 7.4.4, while using mb_strtolower() function with UTF-32LE encoding, certain invalid strings could cause PHP to overwrite stack-allocated buffer. This could lead to memory corruption, crashes and potentially code execution.
