The Common Language Runtime (CLR) in Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 SP2, 3.5, 3.5.1, 4, and 4.5 does not properly check signatures, which allows remote attackers to make undetected changes to signed XML documents via unspecified vectors that preserve signature validity, aka "XML Digital Signature Spoofing Vulnerability."
test-cgi program allows an attacker to list files on the server.
A flaw was found in FasterXML Jackson Databind, where it did not have entity expansion secured properly. This flaw allows vulnerability to XML external entity (XXE) attacks. The highest threat from this vulnerability is data integrity.
Hadoop 1.0.3 contains a symlink vulnerability.
Apache Struts 2.3.1.2 and earlier, 2.3.19-2.3.23, provides interfaces that do not properly restrict access to collections such as the session and request collections, which might allow remote attackers to modify run-time data values via a crafted parameter to an application that implements an affected interface, as demonstrated by the SessionAware, RequestAware, ApplicationAware, ServletRequestAware, ServletResponseAware, and ParameterAware interfaces. NOTE: the vendor disputes the significance of this report because of an "easy work-around in existing apps by configuring the interceptor."
The Apache Beam MongoDB connector in versions 2.10.0 to 2.16.0 has an option to disable SSL trust verification. However this configuration is not respected and the certificate verification disables trust verification in every case. This exclusion also gets registered globally which disables trust checking for any code running in the same JVM.
Internet Explorer 5.5 does not display the Class ID (CLSID) when it is at the end of the file name, which could allow attackers to trick the user into executing dangerous programs by making it appear that the document is of a safe file type.
When ORT (now via atstccfg) generates ip_allow.config files in Apache Traffic Control 3.0.0 to 3.1.0 and 4.0.0 to 4.1.0, those files include permissions that allow bad actors to push arbitrary content into and remove arbitrary content from CDN cache servers. Additionally, these permissions are potentially extended to IP addresses outside the desired range, resulting in them being granted to clients possibly outside the CDN arcitechture.
As part of the fix for bug 61201, the documentation for Apache Tomcat 9.0.0.M22 to 9.0.1, 8.5.16 to 8.5.23, 8.0.45 to 8.0.47 and 7.0.79 to 7.0.82 included an updated description of the search algorithm used by the CGI Servlet to identify which script to execute. The update was not correct. As a result, some scripts may have failed to execute as expected and other scripts may have been executed unexpectedly. Note that the behaviour of the CGI servlet has remained unchanged in this regard. It is only the documentation of the behaviour that was wrong and has been corrected.
Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.0 SP1 does not properly handle certain character strings in the Path attribute, which can cause it to modify cookies in other domains when the attacker's domain name is within the target's domain name or when wildcard DNS is being used, which allows remote attackers to hijack web sessions.
Directory traversal vulnerability in Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.01, 5.5, and 6.0 allows remote malicious FTP servers to overwrite arbitrary files via .. (dot dot) sequences in filenames returned from a LIST command.

A malicious host header in an incoming HTTP request could cause NiFi to load resources from an external server. The fix to sanitize host headers and compare to a controlled whitelist was applied on the Apache NiFi 1.5.0 release. Users running a prior 1.x release should upgrade to the appropriate release.
The SMB signing capability in the Server Message Block (SMB) protocol in Microsoft Windows 2000 and Windows XP allows attackers to disable the digital signing settings in an SMB session to force the data to be sent unsigned, then inject data into the session without detection, e.g. by modifying group policy information sent from a domain controller.
MSN Messenger Service 3.6, and possibly other versions, uses weak authentication when exchanging messages between clients, which allows remote attackers to spoof messages from other users.
Internet Explorer 5 allows a remote attacker to modify the IE client's proxy configuration via a malicious Web Proxy Auto-Discovery (WPAD) server.
Docker Desktop before 4.4.4 on Windows allows attackers to move arbitrary files.
Apache QPID 0.14, 0.16, and earlier uses a NullAuthenticator mechanism to authenticate catch-up shadow connections to AMQP brokers, which allows remote attackers to bypass authentication.
Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0, 3.5, 3.5.1, 4.5.2, 4.6, 4.6.1, 4.6.2 and 4.7 allow an attacker to bypass Enhanced Security Usage taggings when they present a certificate that is invalid for a specific use, aka ".NET Security Feature Bypass Vulnerability."
Microsoft Lync for Mac 2011 fails to properly validate certificates, allowing remote attackers to alter server-client communications, aka "Microsoft Lync for Mac Certificate Validation Vulnerability."
Microsoft Outlook 2003 and Outlook Web Access (OWA) 2003 do not properly display comma separated addresses in the From field in an e-mail message, which could allow remote attackers to spoof e-mail addresses.
A denial of service vulnerability exists when the ASP.NET Core fails to properly validate web requests. NOTE: Microsoft has not commented on third-party claims that the issue is that the TextEncoder.EncodeCore function in the System.Text.Encodings.Web package in ASP.NET Core Mvc before 1.0.4 and 1.1.x before 1.1.3 allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service by leveraging failure to properly calculate the length of 4-byte characters in the Unicode Non-Character range.
A spoofing vulnerability exists when the ASP.NET Core fails to properly sanitize web requests.

When a new Firefox profile is created on 64-bit Windows installations, the sandbox for 64-bit NPAPI plugins is not enabled by default. Note: This issue only affects 64-bit Windows. 32-bit Windows and other operating systems are unaffected. This vulnerability affects Firefox < 50.
Apache HTTP Server, in all releases prior to 2.2.32 and 2.4.25, was liberal in the whitespace accepted from requests and sent in response lines and headers. Accepting these different behaviors represented a security concern when httpd participates in any chain of proxies or interacts with back-end application servers, either through mod_proxy or using conventional CGI mechanisms, and may result in request smuggling, response splitting and cache pollution.
Apache Shiro before 1.3.2 allows attackers to bypass intended servlet filters and gain access by leveraging use of a non-root servlet context path.
Authentication bypass vulnerability in Apache Zeppelin allows an attacker to bypass Zeppelin authentication mechanism to act as another user. This issue affects Apache Zeppelin Apache Zeppelin version 0.9.0 and prior versions.
Apache Struts 2 2.3.20 through 2.3.28.1 allows remote attackers to bypass intended access restrictions and conduct redirection attacks by leveraging a default method.
The AMQP 0-8, 0-9, 0-91, and 0-10 connection handling in Apache Qpid Java before 6.0.3 might allow remote attackers to bypass authentication and consequently perform actions via vectors related to connection state logging.
ParametersInterceptor in OpenSymphony XWork 2.0.x before 2.0.6 and 2.1.x before 2.1.2, as used in Apache Struts and other products, does not properly restrict # (pound sign) references to context objects, which allows remote attackers to execute Object-Graph Navigation Language (OGNL) statements and modify server-side context objects, as demonstrated by use of a \u0023 representation for the # character.
Apache Hive (JDBC + HiveServer2) implements SSL for plain TCP and HTTP connections (it supports both transport modes). While validating the server's certificate during the connection setup, the client in Apache Hive before 1.2.2 and 2.0.x before 2.0.1 doesn't seem to be verifying the common name attribute of the certificate. In this way, if a JDBC client sends an SSL request to server abc.com, and the server responds with a valid certificate (certified by CA) but issued to xyz.com, the client will accept that as a valid certificate and the SSL handshake will go through.
Apache Struts 2.x before 2.3.24.1 allows remote attackers to manipulate Struts internals, alter user sessions, or affect container settings via vectors involving a top object.
Apache HttpClient versions prior to version 4.5.13 and 5.0.3 can misinterpret malformed authority component in request URIs passed to the library as java.net.URI object and pick the wrong target host for request execution.
Microsoft Internet Explorer 6 omits high-bit URL-encoded characters when displaying the address bar, which allows remote attackers to spoof the address bar via a URL with a domain name that differs from an important domain name only in these characters, as demonstrated by using exam%A9ple.com to spoof example.com, aka MSRC ticket MSRC7900.
Apache Sling Commons Log <= 5.4.0 and Apache Sling API <= 2.25.0 are vulnerable to log injection. The ability to forge logs may allow an attacker to cover tracks by injecting fake logs and potentially corrupt log files.

IBM Robotic Process Automation 21.0.1 and 21.0.2 is vulnerable to External Service Interaction attack, caused by improper validation of user-supplied input. A remote attacker could exploit this vulnerability to induce the application to perform server-side DNS lookups or HTTP requests to arbitrary domain names. By submitting suitable payloads, an attacker can cause the application server to attack other systems that it can interact with. IBM X-Force ID: 224156.
Apache Airavata Django Portal allows CRLF log injection because of lack of escaping log statements. In particular, some HTTP request parameters are logged without first being escaped. Versions affected: master branch before commit 3c5d8c7 [1] of airavata-django-portal [1] https://github.com/apache/airavata-django-portal/commit/3c5d8c72bfc3eb0af8693a655a5d60f9273f8170
Microsoft Edge for iOS Spoofing Vulnerability
As mitigation for CVE-2020-1945 Apache Ant 1.10.8 changed the permissions of temporary files it created so that only the current user was allowed to access them. Unfortunately the fixcrlf task deleted the temporary file and created a new one without said protection, effectively nullifying the effort. This would still allow an attacker to inject modified source files into the build process.
An issue was discovered in Avast Antivirus before 20. The aswTask RPC endpoint for the TaskEx library in the Avast Service (AvastSvc.exe) allows attackers to launch the Repair App RPC call from a Low Integrity process.
