In Textpattern 4.5.7, the password-reset feature does not securely tether a hash to a user account.
Insufficient web service capability checks made it possible to move categories a user had permission to manage, to a parent category they did not have the capability to manage.
RubyGems is a package registry used to supply software for the Ruby language ecosystem. An ordering mistake in the code that accepts gem uploads allowed some gems (with platforms ending in numbers, like `arm64-darwin-21`) to be temporarily replaced in the CDN cache by a malicious package. The bug has been patched, and is believed to have never been exploited, based on an extensive review of logs and existing gems by rubygems. The easiest way to ensure that an application has not been exploited by this vulnerability is to verify all downloaded .gems checksums match the checksum recorded in the RubyGems.org database. RubyGems.org has been patched and is no longer vulnerable to this issue.
Permission control vulnerability in the window management module. Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may cause malicious pop-up windows.
Samsung Galaxy Gear series before build RE2 includes the hcidump utility with no privilege or permission restriction. This allows an unprivileged process to dump Bluetooth HCI packets to an arbitrary file path.
The customization framework has a vulnerability of improper permission control.Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may affect data integrity.
The com.cutestudio.colordialer application through 2.1.8-2 for Android allows a remote attacker to initiate phone calls without user consent, because of improper export of the com.cutestudio.dialer.activities.DialerActivity component. A third-party application (without any permissions) can craft an intent targeting com.cutestudio.dialer.activities.DialerActivity via the android.intent.action.CALL action in conjunction with a tel: URI, thereby placing a phone call.
Permission control vulnerability in the audio module. Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may cause several apps to be activated automatically.
It is possible to manipulate the JWT token without the knowledge of the JWT secret and authenticate without valid JWT token as any user. This is happening only in the situation when zOSMF doesn’t have the APAR PH12143 applied. This issue affects: 1.16 versions to 1.19. What happens is that the services using the ZAAS client or the API ML API to query will be deceived into believing the information in the JWT token is valid when it isn’t. It’s possible to use this to persuade the southbound service that different user is authenticated.
The isearch package (textproc/isearch) before 1.47.01nb1 uses the tempnam() function to create insecure temporary files into a publicly-writable area (/tmp).
IBM Security SOAR performs an operation at a privilege level that is higher than the minimum level required, which creates new weaknesses or amplifies the consequences of other weaknesses.
An error in the "WindowsDllDetourPatcher" where a RWX ("Read/Write/Execute") 4k block is allocated but never protected, violating DEP protections. Note: This attack only affects Windows operating systems. Other operating systems are not affected. This vulnerability affects Thunderbird < 52.3, Firefox ESR < 52.3, and Firefox < 55.
Zulip Server before 2.1.5 has Incorrect Access Control because 0198_preregistrationuser_invited_as adds the administrator role to invitations.
Inedo BuildMaster before 5.8.2 does not properly restrict creation of RequireManageAllPrivileges event listeners.
Improper MDM policy management vulnerability in KME module prior to KCS version 1.39 allows MDM users to bypass Knox Manage authentication.
Improper privilege management on services run by Citrix Gateway Plug-in for Windows, versions before and including 13.0-61.48 and 12.1-58.15, allows an attacker to modify arbitrary files.
A vulnerability was found in ISS BlackICE PC Protection and classified as critical. Affected by this issue is the component Cross Site Scripting Detection. The manipulation as part of POST/PUT/DELETE/OPTIONS Request leads to privilege escalation. The attack may be launched remotely. The exploit has been disclosed to the public and may be used. It is recommended to upgrade the affected component. NOTE: This vulnerability only affects products that are no longer supported by the maintainer
spicedb is an Open Source, Google Zanzibar-inspired permissions database to enable fine-grained authorization for customer applications. Multiple caveats over the same indirect subject type on the same relation can result in no permission being returned when permission is expected. If the resource has multiple groups, and each group is caveated, it is possible for the returned permission to be "no permission" when permission is expected. Permission is returned as NO_PERMISSION when PERMISSION is expected on the CheckPermission API. This issue has been addressed in release version 1.35.3. Users are advised to upgrade. Users unable to upgrade should not use caveats or avoid the use of caveats on an indirect subject type with multiple entries.
An authorization issue was discovered in Gitlab versions < 12.1.2, < 12.0.4, and < 11.11.6 that prevented owners and maintainer to delete epic comments.
An issue was discovered in Mattermost Server before 5.8.0. The first user is sometimes inadvertently a system admin.
An issue has been discovered affecting GitLab versions prior to 14.4.5, between 14.5.0 and 14.5.3, and between 14.6.0 and 14.6.1. GitLab is configured in a way that it doesn't ignore replacement references with git sub-commands, allowing a malicious user to spoof the contents of their commits in the UI.
Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory msr-safe v1.1.0 is affected by: Incorrect Access Control. The impact is: An attacker could modify model specific registers. The component is: ioctl handling. In in wp-includes/rest-api/endpoints/class-wp-rest-posts-controller.php in WordPress 3.7 to 5.3.0, authenticated users who do not have the rights to publish a post are able to mark posts as sticky or unsticky via the REST API. For example, the contributor role does not have such rights, but this allowed them to bypass that. This has been patched in WordPress 5.3.1, along with all the previous WordPress versions from 3.7 to 5.3 via a minor release.
KubeVirt is a virtual machine management add-on for Kubernetes. In 1.5.0 and earlier, the permissions granted to the virt-handler service account, such as the ability to update VMI and patch nodes, could be abused to force a VMI migration to an attacker-controlled node. This vulnerability could otherwise allow an attacker to mark all nodes as unschedulable, potentially forcing the migration or creation of privileged pods onto a compromised node.
