Allows the extraction filter to be ignored, allowing symlink targets to point outside the destination directory, and the modification of some file metadata. You are affected by this vulnerability if using the tarfile module to extract untrusted tar archives using TarFile.extractall() or TarFile.extract() using the filter= parameter with a value of "data" or "tar". See the tarfile extraction filters documentation https://docs.python.org/3/library/tarfile.html#tarfile-extraction-filter for more information. Note that for Python 3.14 or later the default value of filter= changed from "no filtering" to `"data", so if you are relying on this new default behavior then your usage is also affected. Note that none of these vulnerabilities significantly affect the installation of source distributions which are tar archives as source distributions already allow arbitrary code execution during the build process. However when evaluating source distributions it's important to avoid installing source distributions with suspicious links.
The LabOne Web Server, backing the LabOne User Interface, contains insufficient input validation in its file access functionality. An unauthenticated attacker could exploit this vulnerability to read arbitrary files on the host system that are accessible to the operating system user running the LabOne software. Additionally, the Web Server does not sufficiently restrict cross-origin requests, which could allow a remote attacker to trigger file access from a victim's browser by directing the victim to a malicious website. The vulnerability is only exploitable when the LabOne Web Server is running. Installations using only the LabOne APIs without starting the Web Server are not exposed.

The Drag and Drop Multiple File Upload for Contact Form 7 plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Path Traversal leading to Arbitrary File Read in versions up to and including 1.3.9.6. This is due to the plugin using client-supplied mfile[] POST values as the source of truth for email attachment selection without performing any server-side upload provenance check, path canonicalization, or directory containment boundary enforcement. In dnd_wpcf7_posted_data(), each user-submitted filename is directly appended to the plugin's upload URL without sanitization. In dnd_cf7_mail_components(), the URL is converted back to a filesystem path using str_replace() and only file_exists() is used as the acceptance check before attaching the file to the outgoing CF7 email. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to read and exfiltrate arbitrary files readable by the web server process via path traversal sequences in the mfile[] parameter, with files being disclosed as email attachments. Note: This vulnerability is limited to the 'wp-content' folder due to the wpcf7_is_file_path_in_content_dir() function in the Contact Form 7 plugin.
Directory traversal vulnerability in Oracle Reports allows remote attackers to read arbitrary files via an absolute or relative path to the (1) CUSTOMIZE or (2) desformat parameters to rwservlet. NOTE: vector 2 is probably the same as CVE-2006-0289, and fixed in Jan 2006 CPU.
A security flaw has been discovered in Sinaptik AI PandasAI up to 3.0.0. This affects the function is_sql_query_safe of the file pandasai/helpers/sql_sanitizer.py. The Forminator Forms – Contact Form, Payment Form & Custom Form Builder plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Path Traversal in versions up to, and including, 1.52.1 via the 'upload-1[file][file_path]' parameter. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to read the contents of arbitrary files on the server, which can contain sensitive information. Successful exploitation requires a publicly accessible form with a File Upload field where Save and Continue is enabled in that form's Behavior settings and the Save and Continue email notification is configured to attach uploaded files in Email Notifications.
The resolveRepositoryPath function doesn't properly validate user input and a malicious user may traverse to any valid Git repository outside the repoRoot. This issue may lead to unauthorized access of private Git repositories as long as the malicious user knows or brute-forces the location of the repository.
This affects the package pistacheio/pistache before 0.0.3.20220425. It is possible to traverse directories to fetch arbitrary files from the server.

An unauthenticated arbitrary file read issue exists in all versions of Citrix ShareFile StorageZones (aka storage zones) Controller, including the most recent 5.10.x releases as of May 2020. RCE and file access is granted to everything hosted by ShareFile, be it on-premise or inside Citrix Cloud itself (both are internet facing). NOTE: unlike most CVEs, exploitability depends on the product version that was in use when a particular setup step was performed, NOT the product version that is in use during a current assessment of a CVE consumer's product inventory. Specifically, the vulnerability can be exploited if a storage zone was created by one of these product versions: 5.9.0, 5.8.0, 5.7.0, 5.6.0, 5.5.0, or earlier. This CVE differs from CVE-2020-7473 and CVE-2020-8983.

The Remote Procedure Call (RPC) loadFile provided by the console functionality on the /tools/developerConsoleOperations.jsp (or /isomorphic/IDACall) URL is affected by unauthenticated Local File Inclusion via directory-traversal sequences in the elem XML element in the _transaction parameter. NOTE: the documentation states "These tools are, by default, available to anyone ... so they should only be deployed into a trusted environment. Alternately, the tools can easily be restricted to administrators or end users by protecting the tools path with normal authentication and authorization mechanisms on the web server."
