Session fixation vulnerability in Cisco Secure Access Control System (ACS) allows remote attackers to hijack web sessions via unspecified vectors, aka Bug ID CSCud95787.
This vulnerability allows remote attackers to bypass authentication on vulnerable installations of NetGain Systems Enterprise Manager 7.2.699 build 1001. User interaction is required to exploit this vulnerability. The specific flaw exists within the MainFilter servlet. The issue results from the lack of proper string matching inside the doFilter method. An attacker can leverage this in conjunction with other vulnerabilities to execute arbitrary code in the context of Administrator. Was ZDI-CAN-5099.
When MISP before 2.4.80 is configured with X.509 certificate authentication (CertAuth) in conjunction with a non-MISP external user management ReST API, if an external user provides X.509 certificate authentication and this API returns an empty value, the unauthenticated user can be granted access as an arbitrary user.
login_ldap 3.1 and 3.2 allows remote attackers to initiate unauthenticated bind requests if (1) bind_anon_dn is on, which allows a bind with no password provided, (2) bind_anon_cred is on, which allows a bind with no DN, or (3) bind_anon is on, which allows a bind with no DN or password.
dnsdist version 1.1.0 is vulnerable to a flaw in authentication mechanism for REST API potentially allowing CSRF attack.
An issue was discovered in certain Apple products. macOS High Sierra before Security Update 2017-001 is affected. The issue involves the "Directory Utility" component. It allows attackers to obtain administrator access without a password via certain interactions involving entry of the root user name.
The Google Authenticator login (ga_login) module 7.x before 7.x-1.3 for Drupal, when multi-factor authentication is enabled, allows remote attackers to bypass authentication for accounts without an associated Google Authenticator token by logging in with the username.
Grafana is an open source data visualization platform. In affected versions unauthenticated and authenticated users are able to view the snapshot with the lowest database key by accessing the literal paths: /dashboard/snapshot/:key, or /api/snapshots/:key. If the snapshot "public_mode" configuration setting is set to true (vs default of false), unauthenticated users are able to delete the snapshot with the lowest database key by accessing the literal path: /api/snapshots-delete/:deleteKey. Regardless of the snapshot "public_mode" setting, authenticated users are able to delete the snapshot with the lowest database key by accessing the literal paths: /api/snapshots/:key, or /api/snapshots-delete/:deleteKey. The combination of deletion and viewing enables a complete walk through all snapshot data while resulting in complete snapshot data loss. This issue has been resolved in versions 8.1.6 and 7.5.11. If for some reason you cannot upgrade you can use a reverse proxy or similar to block access to the literal paths: /api/snapshots/:key, /api/snapshots-delete/:deleteKey, /dashboard/snapshot/:key, and /api/snapshots/:key. They have no normal function and can be disabled without side effects.
ARM mbed TLS before 1.3.21 and 2.x before 2.1.9, if optional authentication is configured, allows remote attackers to bypass peer authentication via an X.509 certificate chain with many intermediates. NOTE: although mbed TLS was formerly known as PolarSSL, the releases shipped with the PolarSSL name are not affected.
servlet/traveler in IBM Lotus Notes Traveler through 8.5.3.3 Interim Fix 1 does not properly restrict invalid authentication attempts, which makes it easier for remote attackers to obtain access via a brute-force attack.
MaLion for Windows 5.2.1 and earlier (only when "Remote Control" is installed) and MaLion for Mac 4.0.1 to 5.2.1 (only when "Remote Control" is installed) allow remote attackers to bypass authentication to execute arbitrary commands or operations on Terminal Agent.
The RegistrationMagic WordPress plugin made it possible for unauthenticated users to log in as any site user, including administrators, if they knew a valid username on the site due to missing identity validation in the social login function social_login_using_email() of the plugin. This affects versions equal to, and less than, 5.0.1.7.
McAfee Email and Web Security (EWS) 5.x before 5.5 Patch 6 and 5.6 before Patch 3, and McAfee Email Gateway (MEG) 7.0 before Patch 1, does not disable the server-side session token upon the closing of the Management Console/Dashboard, which makes it easier for remote attackers to hijack sessions by capturing a session cookie and then modifying the response to a login attempt, related to a "Logout Failure" issue.
EMC Cloud Tiering Appliance (aka CTA, formerly FMA) 9.0 and earlier, and Cloud Tiering Appliance Virtual Edition (CTA/VE) 9.0 and earlier, allows remote attackers to obtain GUI administrative access by sending a crafted file during the authentication phase.
An improper authentication vulnerability has been reported to affect QNAP device, VioStor. If exploited, this vulnerability allows attackers to compromise the security of the system. We have already fixed this vulnerability in the following versions of QVR: QVR FW 5.1.6 build 20211109 and later
HUAWEI P30 smartphones with versions earlier than 10.0.0.173(C00E73R1P11) have an improper authentication vulnerability. Due to improperly validation of certain application, an attacker should trick the user into installing a malicious application to exploit this vulnerability. Successful exploit could allow the attacker to bypass the authentication to perform unauthorized operations.
The cherokee_validator_ldap_check function in validator_ldap.c in Cherokee 1.2.103 and earlier, when LDAP is used, does not properly consider unauthenticated-bind semantics, which allows remote attackers to bypass authentication via an empty password.
OpenAM (Open Source Edition) allows an attacker to bypass authentication and access unauthorized contents via unspecified vectors. Note that this vulnerability affects OpenAM (Open Source Edition) implementations configured as SAML 2.0IdP, and switches authentication methods based on AuthnContext requests sent from the service provider.
The servlets invoked by httpha-invoker in JBoss Enterprise Application Platform before 5.1.2, SOA Platform before 5.2.0, BRMS Platform before 5.3.0, and Portal Platform before 4.3 CP07 perform access control only for the GET and POST methods, which allow remote attackers to bypass authentication by sending a request with a different method. NOTE: this vulnerability exists because of a CVE-2010-0738 regression.
DBMail before 2.2.9, when using authldap with an LDAP server that supports anonymous login such as Active Directory, allows remote attackers to bypass authentication via an empty password, which causes the LDAP bind to indicate success based on anonymous authentication.
Unspecified vulnerability in the LDAP authentication feature in Aruba Mobility Controller 2.3.6.15, 2.5.2.11, 2.5.4.25, 2.5.5.7, 3.1.1.3, and 2.4.8.11-FIPS or earlier allows remote attackers to bypass authentication mechanisms and obtain management or VPN interface access.
Improper Authentication vulnerability in TLS origin verification of Apache Traffic Server allows for man in the middle attacks. This issue affects Apache Traffic Server 8.0.0 to 8.0.8.

dirsys/modules/auth.php in JBC Explorer 7.20 RC1 and earlier does not require authentication, which allows remote attackers to (1) delete auth.inc.php via the suppr parameter, and (2) re-create the auth.inc.php file with contents that specify a new account name and password for JBC Explorer via the login and password parameters.
CFNetwork in Apple Mac OS X 10.3.9 and 10.4 through 10.4.10 does not properly validate certificates, which allows remote attackers to spoof trusted SSL certificates via a man-in-the-middle attack.
Session fixation vulnerability in Ampache before 3.3.3.5 allows remote attackers to hijack web sessions via unspecified vectors.
Session fixation vulnerability in Virtual Hosting Control System (VHCS) 2.4.7.1 and earlier allows remote attackers to hijack web sessions by setting the PHPSESSID parameter.
Session fixation vulnerability in Simple Machines Forum (SMF) 1.1.2 and earlier allows remote attackers to hijack web sessions by setting the PHPSESSID parameter.
A potential vulnerability in Splunk Enterprise's implementation of DUO MFA allows for bypassing the MFA verification in Splunk Enterprise versions before 8.1.6. The potential vulnerability impacts Splunk Enterprise instances configured to use DUO MFA and does not impact or affect a DUO product or service.

Jasig phpCAS version 1.3.4 is vulnerable to an authentication bypass in the validateCAS20 function when configured to authenticate against an old CAS server.
This vulnerability allows an attacker who has access to the WBM to read and write settings-parameters of the device by sending specifically constructed requests without authentication on multiple WAGO PLCs in firmware versions up to FW07.
The m_authenticate function in modules/m_sasl.c in UnrealIRCd before 3.2.10.7 and 4.x before 4.0.6 allows remote attackers to spoof certificate fingerprints and consequently log in as another user via a crafted AUTHENTICATE parameter.
Teradici PCoIP Management Console 20.01.0 and 19.11.1 is vulnerable to unauthenticated password resets via login/resetadminpassword of the default admin account. This vulnerability only exists when the default admin account is not disabled. It is fixed in 20.01.1 and 19.11.2.
Nextcloud Server before 9.0.54 and 10.0.1 & ownCloud Server before 9.1.2, 9.0.6, and 8.2.9 suffer from SMB User Authentication Bypass. Nextcloud/ownCloud include an optional and not by default enabled SMB authentication component that allows authenticating users against an SMB server. This backend is implemented in a way that tries to connect to a SMB server and if that succeeded consider the user logged-in. The backend did not properly take into account SMB servers that have any kind of anonymous auth configured. This is the default on SMB servers nowadays and allows an unauthenticated attacker to gain access to an account without valid credentials. Note: The SMB backend is disabled by default and requires manual configuration in the Nextcloud/ownCloud config file. If you have not configured the SMB backend then you're not affected by this vulnerability.
Cloud Foundry before 248; UAA 2.x before 2.7.4.12, 3.x before 3.6.5, and 3.7.x through 3.9.x before 3.9.3; and UAA bosh release (aka uaa-release) before 13.9 for UAA 3.6.5 and before 24 for UAA 3.9.3 allow attackers to gain privileges by accessing UAA logs and subsequently running a specially crafted application that interacts with a configured SAML provider.

etcd versions 3.2.x before 3.2.26 and 3.3.x before 3.3.11 are vulnerable to an improper authentication issue when role-based access control (RBAC) is used and client-cert-auth is enabled. If an etcd client server TLS certificate contains a Common Name (CN) which matches a valid RBAC username, a remote attacker may authenticate as that user with any valid (trusted) client certificate in a REST API request to the gRPC-gateway.
The implementations of EAP-PWD in hostapd EAP Server and wpa_supplicant EAP Peer do not validate the scalar and element values in EAP-pwd-Commit. This vulnerability may allow an attacker to complete EAP-PWD authentication without knowing the password. However, unless the crypto library does not implement additional checks for the EC point, the attacker will not be able to derive the session key or complete the key exchange. Both hostapd with SAE support and wpa_supplicant with SAE support prior to and including version 2.4 are affected. Both hostapd with EAP-pwd support and wpa_supplicant with EAP-pwd support prior to and including version 2.7 are affected.
Secure Transport in Apple iOS before 7.1.1, Apple OS X 10.8.x and 10.9.x through 10.9.2, and Apple TV before 6.1.1 does not ensure that a server's X.509 certificate is the same during renegotiation as it was before renegotiation, which allows man-in-the-middle attackers to obtain sensitive information or modify TLS session data via a "triple handshake attack."
SSH protocol 2 (aka SSH-2) public key authentication in the development snapshot of OpenSSH 2.3.1, available from 2001-01-18 through 2001-02-08, does not perform a challenge-response step to ensure that the client has the proper private key, which allows remote attackers to bypass authentication as other users by supplying a public key from that user's authorized_keys file.
The implementations of EAP-PWD in hostapd EAP Server, when built against a crypto library missing explicit validation on imported elements, do not validate the scalar and element values in EAP-pwd-Commit. An attacker may be able to use invalid scalar/element values to complete authentication, gaining session key and network access without needing or learning the password. Both hostapd with SAE support and wpa_supplicant with SAE support prior to and including version 2.4 are affected. Both hostapd with EAP-pwd support and wpa_supplicant with EAP-pwd support prior to and including version 2.7 are affected.
The HTTP Connector component of TIBCO Software Inc.'s TIBCO ActiveMatrix BusinessWorks contains a vulnerability that theoretically allows unauthenticated HTTP requests to be processed by the BusinessWorks engine even when authentication is required. This possibility is restricted to circumstances where HTTP "Basic Authentication" policy is used in conjunction with an XML Authentication resource. The BusinessWorks engine might instead use credentials from a prior HTTP request for authorization purposes. Affected releases are TIBCO Software Inc. TIBCO ActiveMatrix BusinessWorks: versions up to and including 6.4.2.
OpenText Exceed OnDemand (EoD) 8 allows man-in-the-middle attackers to disable bidirectional authentication and obtain sensitive information via a crafted string in a response, which triggers a downgrade to simple authentication that sends credentials in plaintext.
login/token.php in Moodle through 2.3.11, 2.4.x before 2.4.10, 2.5.x before 2.5.6, and 2.6.x before 2.6.3 creates a MoodleMobile web-service token with an infinite lifetime, which makes it easier for remote attackers to hijack sessions via a brute-force attack.
The implementations of EAP-PWD in wpa_supplicant EAP Peer, when built against a crypto library missing explicit validation on imported elements, do not validate the scalar and element values in EAP-pwd-Commit. An attacker may complete authentication, session key and control of the data connection with a client. Both hostapd with SAE support and wpa_supplicant with SAE support prior to and including version 2.4 are affected. Both hostapd with EAP-pwd support and wpa_supplicant with EAP-pwd support prior to and including version 2.7 are affected.
An improper authentication vulnerability can be exploited through a race condition that occurs in Ellucian Banner Web Tailor 8.8.3, 8.8.4, and 8.9 and Banner Enterprise Identity Services 8.3, 8.3.1, 8.3.2, and 8.4, in conjunction with SSO Manager. This vulnerability allows remote attackers to steal a victim's session (and cause a denial of service) by repeatedly requesting the initial Banner Web Tailor main page with the IDMSESSID cookie set to the victim's UDCID, which in the case tested is the institutional ID. During a login attempt by a victim, the attacker can leverage the race condition and will be issued the SESSID that was meant for this victim.
