It was discovered that the SteelCentral AppInternals Dynamic Sampling Agent's (DSA) AgentDaServlet has directory traversal vulnerabilities at the "/api/appInternals/1.0/agent/da/pcf" API. The affected endpoint does not have any validation of the user's input that allows a malicious payload to be injected.

An issue was discovered in the flaskcode package through 0.0.8 for Python. An unauthenticated directory traversal, exploitable with a POST request to a /update-resource-data/<file_path> URI (from views.py), allows attackers to write to arbitrary files.
fast-uri decoded percent-encoded path separators and dot segments before applying dot-segment removal in its normalize() and equal() functions. Encoded path data was treated like real slashes and parent-directory references, so distinct URIs could collapse onto the same normalized path. Applications that normalize or compare attacker-controlled URLs to enforce path-based policy can be bypassed, with a path that appears confined under an allowed prefix normalizing to a different location. Versions <= 3.1.0 are affected. Update to 3.1.1 or later.
An issue was discovered in Croc through 9.6.5. A sender can cause a receiver to overwrite files during ZIP extraction.
Synapse is a package for Matrix homeservers written in Python 3/Twisted. Prior to version 1.47.1, Synapse instances with the media repository enabled can be tricked into downloading a file from a remote server into an arbitrary directory. No authentication is required for the affected endpoint. The last 2 directories and file name of the path are chosen randomly by Synapse and cannot be controlled by an attacker, which limits the impact. Homeservers with the media repository disabled are unaffected. Homeservers with a federation whitelist are also unaffected, since Synapse will check the remote hostname, including the trailing `../`s, against the whitelist. Server administrators should upgrade to 1.47.1 or later. Server administrators using a reverse proxy could, at the expense of losing media functionality, may block the certain endpoints as a workaround. Alternatively, non-containerized deployments can be adapted to use the hardened systemd config.

HwPCAssistant has a Improper Input Validation vulnerability.Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may create any file with the system app permission.
A previously disclosed vulnerability (CVE-2023-30584) was patched insufficiently in commit 205f1e6. The new path traversal vulnerability arises because the implementation does not protect itself against the application overwriting built-in utility functions with user-defined implementations. Please note that at the time this CVE was issued, the permission model is an experimental feature of Node.js.
Zoho ManageEngine ADManager Plus version 7110 and prior is vulnerable to path traversal which allows copying of files from one directory to another.

Directory traversal can occur in the Basecamp com.basecamp.bc3 application before 4.2.1 for Android, which may allow an attacker to write arbitrary files in the application's private directory. Additionally, by using a malicious intent, the attacker may redirect the server's responses (containing sensitive information) to third-party applications by using a custom-crafted deeplink scheme.

Please note that at the time this CVE was issued, the permission model is an experimental feature of Node.js.

SharpZipLib (or #ziplib) is a Zip, GZip, Tar and BZip2 library. Starting version 1.3.0 and prior to version 1.3.3, a check was added if the destination file is under destination directory. However, it is not enforced that `destDir` ends with slash. If the `destDir` is not slash terminated like `/home/user/dir` it is possible to create a file with a name thats begins with the destination directory, i.e. `/home/user/dir.sh`. Because of the file name and destination directory constraints, the arbitrary file creation impact is limited and depends on the use case. Version 1.3.3 contains a patch for this vulnerability.

MapServer before 7.0.8, 7.1.x and 7.2.x before 7.2.3, 7.3.x and 7.4.x before 7.4.5, and 7.5.x and 7.6.x before 7.6.3 does not properly enforce the MS_MAP_NO_PATH and MS_MAP_PATTERN restrictions that are intended to control the locations from which a mapfile may be loaded (with MapServer CGI).
Directory traversal vulnerability in KeyFocus web server 1.0.8 allows remote attackers to read arbitrary files for recognized MIME type files via "...", "....", ".....", and other multiple dot sequences.
SharpZipLib (or #ziplib) is a Zip, GZip, Tar and BZip2 library. Starting version 1.0.0 and prior to version 1.3.3, a check was added if the destination file is under a destination directory. However, it is not enforced that `_baseDirectory` ends with slash. If the _baseDirectory is not slash terminated like `/home/user/dir` it is possible to create a file with a name thats begins as the destination directory one level up from the directory, i.e. `/home/user/dir.sh`. Because of the file name and destination directory constraints, the arbitrary file creation impact is limited and depends on the use case. Version 1.3.3 fixed this vulnerability.

In Django 2.2 before 2.2.18, 3.0 before 3.0.12, and 3.1 before 3.1.6, the django.utils.archive.extract method (used by "startapp --template" and "startproject --template") allows directory traversal via an archive with absolute paths or relative paths with dot segments.
An attacker could utilize a function in MDT AutoSave versions prior to v6.02.06 that permits changing a designated path to another path and traversing the directory, allowing the replacement of an existing file with a malicious file.

Pimcore is an open source data and experience management platform. Versions of Pimcore prior to 10.5.18 are vulnerable to path traversal. The impact of this path traversal and arbitrary extension is limited to creation of arbitrary files and appending data to existing files. When combined with the SQL Injection, the exported data `RESTRICTED DIFFUSION 9 / 9` can be controlled and a webshell can be uploaded. Attackers can use that to execute arbitrary PHP code on the server with the permissions of the webserver. Users may upgrade to version 10.5.18 to receive a patch or, as a workaround, apply the patch manually.

Directory traversal vulnerability in includes/MapPinImageSave.php in the Easy2Map plugin before 1.2.5 for WordPress allows remote attackers to create arbitrary files via a .. (dot dot) in the map_id parameter.
mindsdb is a Machine Learning platform to help developers build AI solutions. In affected versions an unsafe extraction is being performed using `tarfile.extractall()` from a remotely retrieved tarball. Which may lead to the writing of the extracted files to an unintended location. Sometimes, the vulnerability is called a TarSlip or a ZipSlip variant. An attacker may leverage this vulnerability to overwrite any local file which the server process has access to. There is no risk of file exposure with this vulnerability. This issue has been addressed in release `23.2.1.0 `. Users are advised to upgrade. There are no known workarounds for this vulnerability.

Flatpak is a Linux application sandboxing and distribution framework. Prior to 1.16.4, the caching for ld.so removes outdated cache files without properly checking that the app controlled path to the outdated cache is in the cache directory. This allows Flatpak apps to delete arbitrary files on the host. This vulnerability is fixed in 1.16.4.

Prior to version 7.5.10, a path traversal vulnerability in `LocalFolderExtractor` allows an attacker to write arbitrary files with attacker-controlled content into sibling directories when a crafted RAR archive is extracted. Version 7.5.10 fixes the issue.
