Symantec Endpoint Detection and Response (SEDR), prior to 4.3.0, may be susceptible to a cross site scripting (XSS) issue. XSS is a type of issue that can enable attackers to inject client-side scripts into web pages viewed by other users. An XSS vulnerability may be used by attackers to potentially bypass access controls such as the same-origin policy.
WordPress before 5.2.4 is vulnerable to a stored XSS attack to inject JavaScript into STYLE elements.
When pasting a <style> tag from the clipboard into a rich text editor, the CSS sanitizer incorrectly rewrites a @namespace rule. This could allow for injection into certain types of websites resulting in data exfiltration. This vulnerability affects Firefox ESR < 68.4 and Firefox < 72.
When pasting a <style> tag from the clipboard into a rich text editor, the CSS sanitizer does not escape < and > characters. Because the resulting string is pasted directly into the text node of the element this does not result in a direct injection into the webpage; however, if a webpage subsequently copies the node's innerHTML, assigning it to another innerHTML, this would result in an XSS vulnerability. Two WYSIWYG editors were identified with this behavior, more may exist. This vulnerability affects Firefox ESR < 68.4 and Firefox < 72.
A reflected XSS issue was discovered in DAViCal through 1.1.8. It echoes the action parameter without encoding. If a user visits an attacker-supplied link, the attacker can view all data the attacked user can view, as well as perform all actions in the name of the user. If the user is an administrator, the attacker can for example add a new admin user to gain full access to the application.
WordPress before 5.2.3 allows XSS in media uploads because wp_ajax_upload_attachment is mishandled.
DOMPurify before 2.0.1 allows XSS because of innerHTML mutation XSS (mXSS) for an SVG element or a MATH element, as demonstrated by Chrome and Safari.
WordPress before 5.2.3 allows reflected XSS in the dashboard.

Gitlab Community Edition version 10.2.4 is vulnerable to lack of input validation in the CI job component resulting in persistent cross site scripting.
In haml versions prior to version 5.0.0.beta.2, when using user input to perform tasks on the server, characters like < > " ' must be escaped properly. In this case, the ' character was missed. An attacker can manipulate the input to introduce additional attributes, potentially executing code.
The cachemgr.cgi web module of Squid through 4.7 has XSS via the user_name or auth parameter.
Wikimedia MediaWiki 1.30.0 through 1.32.1 has XSS. Loading user JavaScript from a non-existent account allows anyone to create the account, and perform XSS on users loading that script. Fixed in 1.32.2, 1.31.2, 1.30.2 and 1.27.6.
Some unicode characters are incorrectly treated as whitespace during the parsing of web content instead of triggering parsing errors. This allows malicious code to then be processed, evading cross-site scripting (XSS) filtering. This vulnerability affects Firefox < 68.
WordPress before 5.2.3 allows XSS in stored comments.
Pagure before 5.6 allows XSS via the templates/blame.html blame view.
In Apache HTTP Server 2.4.0-2.4.39, a limited cross-site scripting issue was reported affecting the mod_proxy error page. An attacker could cause the link on the error page to be malformed and instead point to a page of their choice. This would only be exploitable where a server was set up with proxying enabled but was misconfigured in such a way that the Proxy Error page was displayed.

dojox is vulnerable to Cross-site Scripting in all versions before version 1.16.1, 1.15.2, 1.14.5, 1.13.6, 1.12.7 and 1.11.9. This is due to dojox.xmpp.util.xmlEncode only encoding the first occurrence of each character, not all of them.
In Eclipse Jetty version 9.2.26 and older, 9.3.25 and older, and 9.4.15 and older, the server is vulnerable to XSS conditions if a remote client USES a specially formatted URL against the DefaultServlet or ResourceHandler that is configured for showing a Listing of directory contents.
A reflected cross-site scripting vulnerability was discovered in Moodle. This flaw exists due to insufficient sanitization of user-supplied data in policy tool. An attacker can trick the victim to open a specially crafted link that executes an arbitrary HTML and script code in user's browser in context of vulnerable website. This vulnerability may allow an attacker to perform cross-site scripting (XSS) attacks to gain access potentially sensitive information and modification of web pages.
Roland Gruber Softwareentwicklung LDAP Account Manager before 6.3 has XSS via the dn parameter to the templates/3rdParty/pla/htdocs/cmd.php URI or the template parameter to the templates/3rdParty/pla/htdocs/cmd.php?cmd=rename_form URI.

An XSS issue was discovered in Horde Groupware Webmail Edition through 5.2.22 (where the Horde_Text_Filter library before 2.3.7 is used). The attacker can send a plain text e-mail message, with JavaScript encoded as a link or email that is mishandled by preProcess in Text2html.php, because bespoke use of \x00\x00\x00 and \x01\x01\x01 interferes with XSS defenses.
As an unauthenticated remote user, visit "http://<CACTI_SERVER>/auth_changepassword.php?ref=<script>alert(1)</script>" to successfully execute the JavaScript payload present in the "ref" URL parameter.

Synapse is a Matrix reference homeserver written in python (pypi package matrix-synapse). Matrix is an ecosystem for open federated Instant Messaging and VoIP. In Synapse before version 1.27.0, the password reset endpoint served via Synapse was vulnerable to cross-site scripting (XSS) attacks. The impact depends on the configuration of the domain that Synapse is deployed on, but may allow access to cookies and other browser data, CSRF vulnerabilities, and access to other resources served on the same domain or parent domains. This is fixed in version 1.27.0.
Persistent cross-site scripting (XSS) in http/cervlet.c in Tildeslash Monit before 5.25.3 allows a remote unauthenticated attacker to introduce arbitrary JavaScript via manipulation of an unsanitized user field of the Authorization header for HTTP Basic Authentication, which is mishandled during an _viewlog operation.

Sanitize is an allowlist-based HTML and CSS sanitizer. Using carefully crafted input, an attacker may be able to sneak arbitrary HTML and CSS through Sanitize starting with version 3.0.0 and prior to version 6.0.2 when Sanitize is configured to use the built-in "relaxed" config or when using a custom config that allows `style` elements and one or more CSS at-rules. This could result in cross-site scripting or other undesired behavior when the malicious HTML and CSS are rendered in a browser. Sanitize 6.0.2 performs additional escaping of CSS in `style` element content, which fixes this issue. Users who are unable to upgrade can prevent this issue by using a Sanitize config that doesn't allow `style` elements, using a Sanitize config that doesn't allow CSS at-rules, or by manually escaping the character sequence `</` as `<\/` in `style` element content.
A stored XSS and blind SSRF vulnerability was found in Moodle, occurs due to insufficient sanitization of user-supplied data in the SCORM track details.
