Versions of the package onnx before and including 1.15.0 are vulnerable to Directory Traversal as the external_data field of the tensor proto can have a path to the file which is outside the model current directory or user-provided directory. The vulnerability occurs as a bypass for the patch added for CVE-2022-25882.
An issue was discovered in Joomla! 2.5.0 through 3.9.22. The folder parameter of mod_random_image lacked input validation, leading to a path traversal vulnerability.
GateOne 1.1 allows arbitrary file download without authentication via /downloads/.. directory traversal because os.path.join is misused.
DEXT5Upload 2.7.1262310 and earlier is affected by Directory Traversal in handler/dext5handler.jsp. This could allow remote files to be downloaded via a dext5CMD=downloadRequest action with traversal in the fileVirtualPath parameter (the attacker must provide the correct fileOrgName value).
ACS Advanced Comment System 1.0 is affected by Directory Traversal via an advanced_component_system/index.php?ACS_path=..%2f URI. NOTE: this might be the same as CVE-2009-4623
Directory traversal vulnerability in page_edit.php in MiniCMS V1.10 allows remote attackers to read arbitrary files via the state parameter.
aiohttp is an asynchronous HTTP client/server framework for asyncio and Python. When using aiohttp as a web server and configuring static routes, it is necessary to specify the root path for static files. Additionally, the option 'follow_symlinks' can be used to determine whether to follow symbolic links outside the static root directory. When 'follow_symlinks' is set to True, there is no validation to check if reading a file is within the root directory. This can lead to directory traversal vulnerabilities, resulting in unauthorized access to arbitrary files on the system, even when symlinks are not present. Disabling follow_symlinks and using a reverse proxy are encouraged mitigations. Version 3.9.2 fixes this issue.
Flamingo (aka FlamingoIM) through 2020-09-29 allows ../ directory traversal because the only ostensibly unpredictable part of a file-transfer request is an MD5 computation; however, this computation occurs on the client side, and the computation details can be easily determined because the product's source code is available.
A local file inclusion vulnerability in the FileServlet in all SearchBlox before 9.2.2 allows remote, unauthenticated users to read arbitrary files from the operating system via a /searchblox/servlet/FileServlet?col=url= request. Additionally, this may be used to read the contents of the SearchBlox configuration file (e.g., searchblox/WEB-INF/config.xml), which contains both the Super Admin's API key and the base64 encoded SHA1 password hashes of other SearchBlox users.
HashiCorp go-slug up to 0.4.3 did not fully protect against directory traversal while unpacking tar archives, and protections could be bypassed with specific constructions of multiple symlinks. Fixed in 0.5.0.
A path traversal vulnerability exists in the parisneo/lollms-webui application, specifically within the `lollms_core/lollms/server/endpoints/lollms_binding_files_server.py` and `lollms_core/lollms/security.py` files. Due to inadequate validation of file paths between Windows and Linux environments using `Path(path).is_absolute()`, attackers can exploit this flaw to read any file on the system. This issue affects the latest version of LoLLMs running on the Windows platform. The vulnerability is triggered when an attacker sends a specially crafted request to the `/user_infos/{path:path}` endpoint, allowing the reading of arbitrary files, as demonstrated with the `win.ini` file. The issue has been addressed in version 9.5 of the software.
A Directory Traversal vulnerability exists in ATX miniCMTS200a Broadband Gateway through 2.0 and Pico CMTS through 2.0. Successful exploitation of this vulnerability would allow an unauthenticated attacker to retrieve administrator credentials by sending a malicious POST request.
IBM Business Automation Workflow 22.0.2 could allow a remote attacker to traverse directories on the system. An attacker could send a specially crafted URL request containing "dot dot" sequences (/../) to view arbitrary files on the system. IBM X-Force ID: 239427.
SphinxSearch in Sphinx Technologies Sphinx through 3.1.1 allows directory traversal (in conjunction with CVE-2019-14511) because the mysql client can be used for CALL SNIPPETS and load_file operations on a full pathname (e.g., a file in the /etc directory). NOTE: this is unrelated to CMUSphinx.

The specific flaw exists within the GetEuaLogDownloadAction class. The issue results from the lack of proper validation of a user-supplied path prior to using it in file operations. An attacker can leverage this vulnerability to disclose information in the context of SYSTEM. Was ZDI-CAN-9607.

In BASETech GE-131 BT-1837836 firmware 20180921, the web-server on the system is configured with the option “DocumentRoot /etc“. This allows an attacker with network access to the web-server to download any files from the “/etc” folder without authentication. No path traversal sequences are needed to exploit this vulnerability.
A Directory Traversal vulnerability exits in Processwire CMS before 2.7.1 via the download parameter to index.php.
MSS (Mission Support System) is an open source package designed for planning atmospheric research flights. In file: `index.py`, there is a method that is vulnerable to path manipulation attack. By modifying file paths, an attacker can acquire sensitive information from different resources. The `filename` variable is joined with other variables to form a file path in `_file`. However, `filename` is a route parameter that can capture path type values i.e. values including slashes (\). So it is possible for an attacker to manipulate the file being read by assigning a value containing ../ to `filename` and so the attacker may be able to gain access to other files on the host filesystem. This issue has been addressed in MSS version 8.3.3. Users are advised to upgrade. There are no known workarounds for this vulnerability.
`@backstage/backend-common` is a common functionality library for backends for Backstage, an open platform for building developer portals. In `@backstage/backend-common` prior to versions 0.21.1, 0.20.2, and 0.19.10, paths checks with the `resolveSafeChildPath` utility were not exhaustive enough, leading to risk of path traversal vulnerabilities if symlinks can be injected by attackers. This issue is patched in `@backstage/backend-common` versions 0.21.1, 0.20.2, and 0.19.10.

An issue was discovered on URayTech IPTV/H.264/H.265 video encoders through 1.97. Attackers can send crafted unauthenticated HTTP requests to exploit path traversal and pattern-matching programming flaws, and retrieve any file from the device's file system, including the configuration file with the cleartext administrative password.
Setelsa Conacwin v3.7.1.2 is vulnerable to a local file inclusion vulnerability. This vulnerability allows a remote unauthenticated attacker to read internal files on the server via an http:IP:PORT/../../path/file_to_disclose Directory Traversal URI. NOTE: The manufacturer indicated that the affected version does not exist. Furthermore, they indicated that they detected this problem in an internal audit more than 3 years ago and fixed it in 2017.
