net/mlx5e: Fix handling of wrong devices during bond netevent

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net/mlx5e: Fix handling of wrong devices during bond netevent Current implementation of bond netevent handler only check if the handled netdev is VF representor and it missing a check if the VF representor is on the same phys device of the bond handling the netevent. Fix by adding the missing check and optimizing the check if the netdev is VF representor so it will not access uninitialized private data and crashes. In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: devlink: fix xa_alloc_cyclic() error handling In case of returning 1 from xa_alloc_cyclic() (wrapping) ERR_PTR(1) will be returned, which will cause IS_ERR() to be false. Which can lead to dereference not allocated pointer (rel). Fix it by checking if err is lower than zero. This wasn't found in real usecase, only noticed. Credit to Pierre.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: vsock/virtio: discard packets if the transport changes If the socket has been de-assigned or assigned to another transport, we must discard any packets received because they are not expected and would cause issues when we access vsk->transport. A possible scenario is described by Hyunwoo Kim in the attached link, where after a first connect() interrupted by a signal, and a second connect() failed, we can find `vsk->transport` at NULL, leading to a NULL pointer dereference.

tcp: drop secpath at the same time as we currently drop dst

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: tcp: drop secpath at the same time as we currently drop dst Xiumei reported hitting the WARN in xfrm6_tunnel_net_exit while running tests that boil down to: - create a pair of netns - run a basic TCP test over ipcomp6 - delete the pair of netns The xfrm_state found on spi_byaddr was not deleted at the time we delete the netns, because we still have a reference on it. This lingering reference comes from a secpath (which holds a ref on the xfrm_state), which is still attached to an skb. This skb is not leaked, it ends up on sk_receive_queue and then gets defer-free'd by skb_attempt_defer_free. The problem happens when we defer freeing an skb (push it on one CPU's defer_list), and don't flush that list before the netns is deleted. In that case, we still have a reference on the xfrm_state that we don't expect at this point. We already drop the skb's dst in the TCP receive path when it's no longer needed, so let's also drop the secpath. At this point, tcp_filter has already called into the LSM hooks that may require the secpath, so it should not be needed anymore. However, in some of those places, the MPTCP extension has just been attached to the skb, so we cannot simply drop all extensions.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: xfrm: delete intermediate secpath entry in packet offload mode Packets handled by hardware have added secpath as a way to inform XFRM core code that this path was already handled. That secpath is not needed at all after policy is checked and it is removed later in the stack. However, in the case of IP forwarding is enabled (/proc/sys/net/ipv4/ip_forward), that secpath is not removed and packets which already were handled are reentered to the driver TX path with xfrm_offload set. In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: phy: qcom: qmp-usb-legacy: fix NULL-deref on runtime suspend Commit 413db06c05e7 ("phy: qcom-qmp-usb: clean up probe initialisation") removed most users of the platform device driver data from the qcom-qmp-usb driver, but mistakenly also removed the initialisation despite the data still being used in the runtime PM callbacks. This bug was later reproduced when the driver was copied to create the qmp-usb-legacy driver. Restore the driver data initialisation at probe to avoid a NULL-pointer dereference on runtime suspend. Apparently no one uses runtime PM, which currently needs to be enabled manually through sysfs, with these drivers.

After establishing all its connections, the information is exchanged between the client and server through the info_req message. During this exchange, it is essential that all connections have been established, and the state of the RTRS srv path is CONNECTED. So add these sanity checks, to make sure we detect and abort process in error scenarios to avoid null pointer deref.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ocfs2: fix null-ptr-deref when journal load failed. During the mounting process, if journal_reset() fails because of too short journal, then lead to jbd2_journal_load() fails with NULL j_sb_buffer. Subsequently, ocfs2_journal_shutdown() calls jbd2_journal_flush()->jbd2_cleanup_journal_tail()-> __jbd2_update_log_tail()->jbd2_journal_update_sb_log_tail() ->lock_buffer(journal->j_sb_buffer), resulting in a null-pointer dereference error. To resolve this issue, we should check the JBD2_LOADED flag to ensure the journal was properly loaded. Additionally, use journal instead of osb->journal directly to simplify the code.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: smc: Fix various oops due to inet_sock type confusion. syzbot reported weird splats [0][1] in cipso_v4_sock_setattr() while freeing inet_sk(sk)->inet_opt. The address was freed multiple times even though it was read-only memory. cipso_v4_sock_setattr() did nothing wrong, and the root cause was type confusion. The cited commit made it possible to create smc_sock as an INET socket. The issue is that struct smc_sock does not have struct inet_sock as the first member but hijacks AF_INET and AF_INET6 sk_family, which confuses various places. Instead of papering over the root cause by such hacks, we should not allow non-INET socket to reuse the INET infra. Let's add inet_sock as the first member of smc_sock. In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: gso: fix udp gso fraglist segmentation after pull from frag_list Detect gso fraglist skbs with corrupted geometry (see below) and pass these to skb_segment instead of skb_segment_list, as the first can segment them correctly. Valid SKB_GSO_FRAGLIST skbs - consist of two or more segments - the head_skb holds the protocol headers plus first gso_size - one or more frag_list skbs hold exactly one segment - all but the last must be gso_size Optional datapath hooks such as NAT and BPF (bpf_skb_pull_data) can modify these skbs, breaking these invariants. In extreme cases they pull all data into skb linear. For UDP, this causes a NULL ptr deref in __udpv4_gso_segment_list_csum at udp_hdr(seg->next)->dest. Detect invalid geometry due to pull, by checking head_skb size. Don't just drop, as this may blackhole a destination. Convert to be able to pass to regular skb_segment.
