bpf, verifier: Fix memory leak in array reallocation for stack state

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: bpf, verifier: Fix memory leak in array reallocation for stack state If an error (NULL) is returned by krealloc(), callers of realloc_array() were setting their allocation pointers to NULL, but on error krealloc() does not touch the original allocation. This would result in a memory resource leak. Instead, free the old allocation on the error handling path. The memory leak information is as follows as also reported by Zhengchao: unreferenced object 0xffff888019801800 (size 256): comm "bpf_repo", pid 6490, jiffies 4294959200 (age 17.170s) hex dump (first 32 bytes): 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 ................ 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 ................ backtrace: [<00000000b211474b>] __kmalloc_node_track_caller+0x45/0xc0 [<0000000086712a0b>] krealloc+0x83/0xd0 [<00000000139aab02>] realloc_array+0x82/0xe2 [<00000000b1ca41d1>] grow_stack_state+0xfb/0x186 [<00000000cd6f36d2>] check_mem_access.cold+0x141/0x1341 [<0000000081780455>] do_check_common+0x5358/0xb350 [<0000000015f6b091>] bpf_check.cold+0xc3/0x29d [<000000002973c690>] bpf_prog_load+0x13db/0x2240 [<00000000028d1644>] __sys_bpf+0x1605/0x4ce0 [<00000000053f29bd>] __x64_sys_bpf+0x75/0xb0 [<0000000056fedaf5>] do_syscall_64+0x35/0x80 [<000000002bd58261>] entry_SYSCALL_64_after_hwframe+0x63/0xcd

net: lan966x: fix page pool leak in error paths

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: lan966x: fix page pool leak in error paths lan966x_fdma_rx_alloc() creates a page pool but does not destroy it if the subsequent fdma_alloc_coherent() call fails, leaking the pool. Similarly, lan966x_fdma_init() frees the coherent DMA memory when lan966x_fdma_tx_alloc() fails but does not destroy the page pool that was successfully created by lan966x_fdma_rx_alloc(), leaking it. Add the missing page_pool_destroy() calls in both error paths.

usb: gadget: f_phonet: fix skb frags[] overflow in pn_rx_complete()

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: usb: gadget: f_phonet: fix skb frags[] overflow in pn_rx_complete() A broken/bored/mean USB host can overflow the skb_shared_info->frags[] array on a Linux gadget exposing a Phonet function by sending an unbounded sequence of full-page OUT transfers. pn_rx_complete() finalizes the skb only when req->actual < req->length, where req->length is set to PAGE_SIZE by the gadget. If the host always sends exactly PAGE_SIZE bytes per transfer, fp->rx.skb will never be reset and each completion will add another fragment via skb_add_rx_frag(). Once nr_frags exceeds MAX_SKB_FRAGS (default 17), subsequent frag stores overwrite memory adjacent to the shinfo on the heap. Drop the skb and account a length error when the frag limit is reached, matching the fix applied in t7xx by commit f0813bcd2d9d ("net: wwan: t7xx: fix potential skb->frags overflow in RX path").

wifi: rtw88: fix device leak on probe failure

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: wifi: rtw88: fix device leak on probe failure Driver core holds a reference to the USB interface and its parent USB device while the interface is bound to a driver and there is no need to take additional references unless the structures are needed after disconnect. This driver takes a reference to the USB device during probe but does not to release it on all probe errors (e.g. when descriptor parsing fails). Drop the redundant device reference to fix the leak, reduce cargo culting, make it easier to spot drivers where an extra reference is needed, and reduce the risk of further memory leaks.

net: altera-tse: fix skb leak on DMA mapping error in tse_start_xmit()

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: altera-tse: fix skb leak on DMA mapping error in tse_start_xmit() When dma_map_single() fails in tse_start_xmit(), the function returns NETDEV_TX_OK without freeing the skb. Since NETDEV_TX_OK tells the stack the packet was consumed, the skb is never freed, leaking memory on every DMA mapping failure. Add dev_kfree_skb_any() before returning to properly free the skb.

platform/x86: mxm-wmi: fix memleak in mxm_wmi_call_mx[ds|mx]()

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: platform/x86: mxm-wmi: fix memleak in mxm_wmi_call_mx[ds|mx]() The ACPI buffer memory (out.pointer) returned by wmi_evaluate_method() is not freed after the call, so it leads to memory leak. The method results in ACPI buffer is not used, so just pass NULL to wmi_evaluate_method() which fixes the memory leak.

Fixes the issue by adding rq_qos_exit() to blk_cleanup_queue() back. BTW, v5.18 won't need this patch any more since we move blkcg_init_queue()/blkcg_exit_queue() into disk allocation/release handler, and patches have been in for-5.18/block.

net: ieee802154: at86rf230: Stop leaking skb's

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: ieee802154: at86rf230: Stop leaking skb's Upon error the ieee802154_xmit_complete() helper is not called. Only ieee802154_wake_queue() is called manually. In the Tx case we then leak the skb structure. Free the skb structure upon error before returning when appropriate. As the 'is_tx = 0' cannot be moved in the complete handler because of a possible race between the delay in switching to STATE_RX_AACK_ON and a new interrupt, we introduce an intermediate 'was_tx' boolean just for this purpose. There is no Fixes tag applying here, many changes have been made on this area and the issue kind of always existed.

btrfs: zlib: fix the folio leak on S390 hardware acceleration

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: btrfs: zlib: fix the folio leak on S390 hardware acceleration [BUG] After commit aa60fe12b4f4 ("btrfs: zlib: refactor S390x HW acceleration buffer preparation"), we no longer release the folio of the page cache of folio returned by btrfs_compress_filemap_get_folio() for S390 hardware acceleration path. [CAUSE] Before that commit, we call kumap_local() and folio_put() after handling each folio. Although the timing is not ideal (it release previous folio at the beginning of the loop, and rely on some extra cleanup out of the loop), it at least handles the folio release correctly. Meanwhile the refactored code is easier to read, it lacks the call to release the filemap folio. [FIX] Add the missing folio_put() for copy_data_into_buffer().

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: rocker: fix memory leak in rocker_world_port_post_fini() In rocker_world_port_pre_init(), rocker_port->wpriv is allocated with kzalloc(wops->port_priv_size, GFP_KERNEL). However, in rocker_world_port_post_fini(), the memory is only freed when wops->port_post_fini callback is set: if (!wops->port_post_fini) return; wops->port_post_fini(rocker_port); kfree(rocker_port->wpriv); Since rocker_ofdpa_ops does not implement port_post_fini callback (it is NULL), the wpriv memory allocated for each port is never freed when ports are removed. This leads to a memory leak of sizeof(struct ofdpa_port) bytes per port on every device removal. Fix this by always calling kfree(rocker_port->wpriv) regardless of whether the port_post_fini callback exists.

media: radio-keene: fix memory leak in error path

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: media: radio-keene: fix memory leak in error path Fix a memory leak in usb_keene_probe(). The v4l2 control handler is initialized and controls are added, but if v4l2_device_register() or video_register_device() fails afterward, the handler was never freed, leaking memory. Add v4l2_ctrl_handler_free() call in the err_v4l2 error path to ensure the control handler is properly freed for all error paths after it is initialized.

perf: Fix event leak upon exit

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: perf: Fix event leak upon exit When a task is scheduled out, pending sigtrap deliveries are deferred to the target task upon resume to userspace via task_work. However failures while adding an event's callback to the task_work engine are ignored. And since the last call for events exit happen after task work is eventually closed, there is a small window during which pending sigtrap can be queued though ignored, leaking the event refcount addition such as in the following scenario: TASK A ----- do_exit() exit_task_work(tsk); <IRQ> perf_event_overflow() event->pending_sigtrap = pending_id; irq_work_queue(&event->pending_irq); </IRQ> =========> PREEMPTION: TASK A -> TASK B event_sched_out() event->pending_sigtrap = 0; atomic_long_inc_not_zero(&event->refcount) // FAILS: task work has exited task_work_add(&event->pending_task) [...] <IRQ WORK> perf_pending_irq() // early return: event->oncpu = -1 </IRQ WORK> [...] =========> TASK B -> TASK A perf_event_exit_task(tsk) perf_event_exit_event() free_event() WARN(atomic_long_cmpxchg(&event->refcount, 1, 0) != 1) // leak event due to unexpected refcount == 2 As a result the event is never released while the task exits. Fix this with appropriate task_work_add()'s error handling.

pinctrl: pinconf-generic: Fix memory leak in pinconf_generic_parse_dt_config()

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: pinctrl: pinconf-generic: Fix memory leak in pinconf_generic_parse_dt_config() In pinconf_generic_parse_dt_config(), if parse_dt_cfg() fails, it returns directly. This bypasses the cleanup logic and results in a memory leak of the cfg buffer. Fix this by jumping to the out label on failure, ensuring kfree(cfg) is called before returning.
