AliasVault is a privacy-first password manager with built-in email aliasing. A stored cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability was identified in the email rendering feature of AliasVault Web Client versions 0.25.3 and lower. When viewing received emails on an alias, the HTML content is rendered in an iframe using srcdoc, which does not provide origin isolation. An attacker can send a crafted email containing malicious JavaScript to any AliasVault email alias. When the victim views the email in the web client, the script executes in the same origin as the application. No sanitization or sandboxing was applied to email HTML content before rendering. This vulnerability is fixed in 0.26.0.[
Indico is an event management system that uses Flask-Multipass, a multi-backend authentication system for Flask. Versions prior to 3.3.10 are vulnerable to cross-site scripting when uploading certain file types as materials. Users should upgrade to version 3.3.10 to receive a patch. To apply the fix itself updating is sufficient, but to benefit from the strict Content Security Policy (CSP) Indico now applies by default for file downloads, update the webserver config in case one uses nginx with Indico's `STATIC_FILE_METHOD` set to `xaccelredirect`. For further directions, consult the GitHub Security advisory or Indico setup documentation. Some workarounds are available. Use the webserver config to apply a strict CSP for material download endpoints, and/or only let trustworthy users create content (including material uploads, which speakers can typically do as well) on Indico.
LibreNMS is an auto-discovering PHP/MySQL/SNMP based network monitoring tool. Versions 24.10.0 through 26.1.1 are vulnerable to Stored XSS via the unit parameter in Custom OID. The Custom OID functionality lacks strip_tags() sanitization while other fields (name, oid, datatype) are sanitized. The unsanitized value is stored in the database and rendered without HTML escaping. This issue is fixed in version 26.2.0.
Joplin 1.2.6 for Desktop allows XSS via a LINK element in a note.
A vulnerability in the web-based management interface of Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE) could allow an authenticated, remote attacker to perform a stored cross-site scripting (XSS) attack against a user of the interface on an affected device. This vulnerability exists because the web-based management interface does not properly validate user-supplied input. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability by injecting malicious code into specific pages of the interface. A successful exploit could allow the attacker to execute arbitrary script code in the context of the affected interface or access sensitive, browser-based information.

Pi-hole Admin Interface is a web interface for managing Pi-hole, a network-level ad and internet tracker blocking application. Versions 6.4 and below are vulnerable to stored HTML injection through the local DNS records configuration page, which allows an authenticated administrator to inject code that is stored in the Pi-hole configuration and rendered every time the DNS records table is viewed. The populateDataTable() function contains a data variable with the full DNS record value exactly as entered by the user and returned by the API. This value is inserted directly into the data-tag HTML attribute without any escaping or sanitization of special characters. When an attacker supplies a value containing double quotes ("), they can prematurely “close” the data-tag attribute and inject additional HTML attributes into the element. Since Pi-hole implements a Content Security Policy (CSP) that blocks inline JavaScript, the impact is limited. This issue has been fixed in version 6.4.1.
Pagure: XSS possible in file attachment endpoint
Edoc-doctor-appointment-system v1.0.1 was discovered to contain a stored cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability at /patient/settings.php. This vulnerability allows attackers to execute arbitrary web scripts or HTML via a crafted payload injected into the Name text field.
Discourse-Chat is an asynchronous messaging plugin for the Discourse open-source discussion platform. Users of Discourse Chat can be affected by admin users inserting HTML into chat titles and descriptions, causing a Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) attack. Version 0.9 contains a patch for this issue.
A vulnerability in the web-based management interface of Cisco Firepower Management Center (FMC) Software could allow an authenticated, remote attacker to conduct a cross-site scripting (XSS) attack against a user of the interface of an affected device. This vulnerability is due to insufficient validation of user-supplied input by the web-based management interface. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability by inserting crafted input into various data fields in an affected interface. A successful exploit could allow the attacker to execute arbitrary script code in the context of the interface, or access sensitive, browser-based information.
Stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) was found in the /admin/edit_user.php page of Society Management System Portal V1.0, which allows remote attackers to inject and store arbitrary JavaScript code that is executed in users' browsers. This vulnerability can be exploited via the name parameter in a POST HTTP request, leading to execution of malicious scripts when the affected content is viewed by other users, including administrators.

The package s-cart/core before 4.4 are vulnerable to Cross-site Scripting (XSS) via the admin panel.
Rack is a modular Ruby web server interface. Prior to versions 2.2.22, 3.1.20, and 3.2.5, `Rack::Directory` generates an HTML directory index where each file entry is rendered as a clickable link. If a file exists on disk whose basename starts with the `javascript:` scheme (e.g. `javascript:alert(1)`), the generated index contains an anchor whose `href` is exactly `javascript:alert(1)`. Clicking the entry executes JavaScript in the browser (demonstrated with `alert(1)`). Versions 2.2.22, 3.1.20, and 3.2.5 fix the issue.
ISAMS 22.2.3.2 is prone to stored Cross-site Scripting (XSS) attack on the title field for groups, allowing an attacker to store a JavaScript payload that will be executed when another user uses the application.
jsoup is a Java HTML parser, built for HTML editing, cleaning, scraping, and cross-site scripting (XSS) safety. jsoup may incorrectly sanitize HTML including `javascript:` URL expressions, which could allow XSS attacks when a reader subsequently clicks that link. If the non-default `SafeList.preserveRelativeLinks` option is enabled, HTML including `javascript:` URLs that have been crafted with control characters will not be sanitized. If the site that this HTML is published on does not set a Content Security Policy, an XSS attack is then possible. This issue is patched in jsoup 1.15.3. Users should upgrade to this version. Additionally, as the unsanitized input may have been persisted, old content should be cleaned again using the updated version. To remediate this issue without immediately upgrading: - disable `SafeList.preserveRelativeLinks`, which will rewrite input URLs as absolute URLs - ensure an appropriate [Content Security Policy](https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/HTTP/CSP) is defined. (This should be used regardless of upgrading, as a defence-in-depth best practice.)
MiniGal Nano version 0.3.5 and prior contain a reflected cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability in index.php via the dir parameter. The application constructs $currentdir from user-controlled input and embeds it into an error message without output encoding, allowing an attacker to supply HTML/JavaScript that is reflected in the response. Successful exploitation can lead to execution of arbitrary script in a victim's browser in the context of the vulnerable application.

Prior to 3.2.1, if an attacker has the ability control configuration options passed to sceditor.create(), like emoticons, charset, etc. then it's possible for them to trigger an XSS attack due to lack of sanitisation of configuration options. This vulnerability is fixed in 3.2.1.
