SMU versions prior to 14.8.7825.01 are susceptible to unintended information disclosure, through URL manipulation. Authenticated users in a Storage administrative role are able to access HNAS configuration backup and diagnostic data, that would normally be barred to that specific administrative role.
Pentaho Business Analytics Server versions before 9.2.0.2 and 8.3.0.25 using the Pentaho Analyzer plugin exposes a service endpoint for templates which allows a user-supplied path to access resources that are out of bounds. The software uses external input to construct a pathname that is intended to identify a file or directory that is located underneath a restricted parent directory, but the software does not properly neutralize special elements within the pathname that can cause the pathname to resolve to a location that is outside of the restricted directory. By using special elements such as ".." and "/" separators, attackers can escape outside of the restricted location to access files or directories that are elsewhere on the system.
Hitachi Content Platform Anywhere (HCP-AW) 4.4.5 and later allows information disclosure. If authenticated user creates a link to a file or folder while the system was running version 4.3.x or earlier and then shares the link and then later deletes the file or folder without deleting the link and before the link expires. If the system has been upgraded to version 4.4.5 or 4.5.0 a malicious user with the link could browse and download all files of the authenticated user that created the link .
An issue was discovered in Hitachi Vantara Pentaho through 9.1 and Pentaho Business Intelligence Server through 7.x. They implement a series of web services using the SOAP protocol to allow scripting interaction with the backend server. An authenticated user (regardless of privileges) can list all databases connection details and credentials.
The product does not perform an authorization check when an actor attempts to access a resource or perform an action. (CWE-862) Hitachi Vantara Pentaho Business Analytics Server versions before 10.2.0.0 and 9.3.0.8, including 8.3.x, do not correctly perform an authorization check in the data source management service. When access control checks are incorrectly applied, users can access data or perform actions that they should not be allowed to perform. This can lead to a wide range of problems, including information exposures and denial of service.
Hitachi Vantara Pentaho Business Analytics Server versions before 9.4.0.0 and 9.3.0.1, including 8.3.x with the Big Data Plugin expose the username and password of clusters in clear text into system logs.
Hitachi Vantara Pentaho Business Analytics Server versions before 9.4.0.0 and 9.3.0.1, including 8.3.x, using the Pentaho Data Access plugin exposes a service endpoint for CSV import which allows a user supplied path to access resources that are out of bounds.
Hitachi Vantara Pentaho Business Analytics Server versions before 9.4.0.1 and 9.3.0.2, including 8.3.x do not correctly protect the Post Analysis service endpoint of the data access plugin against out-of-band XML External Entity Reference.

An unauthorized user may leverage a specially crafted aggregation pipeline to access data without proper authorization due to improper handling of the $mergeCursors stage in MongoDB Server. This may lead to access to data without further authorisation. This issue affects MongoDB Server MongoDB Server v8.0 versions prior to 8.0.7, MongoDB Server v7.0 versions prior to 7.0.19 and MongoDB Server v6.0 versions prior to 6.0.22
Dell PowerProtect Data Manager (PPDM) versions prior to 19.4 and Dell PowerProtect X400 versions prior to 3.2 contain an improper authorization vulnerability. A remote authenticated malicious user may download any file from the affected PowerProtect virtual machines.
Lemmy is a link aggregator and forum for the fediverse. Starting in version 0.17.0 and prior to version 0.19.1, users can report private messages, even when they're neither sender nor recipient of the message. The API response to creating a private message report contains the private message itself, which means any user can just iterate over message ids to (loudly) obtain all private messages of an instance. A user with instance admin privileges can also abuse this if the private message is removed from the response, as they're able to see the resulting reports. Creating a private message report by POSTing to `/api/v3/private_message/report` does not validate whether the reporter is the recipient of the message. lemmy-ui does not allow the sender to report the message; the API method should likely be restricted to accessible to recipients only. The API response when creating a report contains the `private_message_report_view` with all the details of the report, including the private message that has been reported: Any authenticated user can obtain arbitrary (untargeted) private message contents. Privileges required depend on the instance configuration; when registrations are enabled without application system, the privileges required are practically none. When registration applications are required, privileges required could be considered low, but this assessment heavily varies by instance. Version 0.19.1 contains a patch for this issue. A workaround is available. If an update to a fixed Lemmy version is not immediately possible, the API route can be blocked in the reverse proxy. This will prevent anyone from reporting private messages, but it will also prevent exploitation before the update has been applied.
A vulnerability in a specific REST API endpoint of Cisco NDFC could allow an authenticated, low-privileged, remote attacker to learn sensitive information on an affected device. This vulnerability is due to insufficient authorization controls on the affected REST API endpoint. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability by sending crafted API requests to the affected endpoint. A successful exploit could allow the attacker to download config only or full backup files and learn sensitive configuration information. This vulnerability only affects a specific REST API endpoint and does not affect the web-based management interface.
Improper authorization in the background migration endpoints of Langfuse 3.1 before d67b317 allows any authenticated user to invoke migration control functions. This can lead to data corruption or denial of service through unauthorized access to TRPC endpoints such as backgroundMigrations.all, backgroundMigrations.status, and backgroundMigrations.retry.
Apache Superset contains an improper access control vulnerability in its /explore endpoint. A missing authorization check allows an authenticated user to discover metadata about datasources they do not have permission to access. By iterating through the datasource_id in the URL, an attacker can enumerate and confirm the existence and names of protected datasources, leading to sensitive information disclosure. This issue affects Apache Superset: before 5.0.0. Users are recommended to upgrade to version 5.0.0, which fixes the issue.
Search Guard versions before 24.3 had an issue when Cross Cluster Search (CCS) was enabled, authenticated users are always authorized on the local cluster ignoring their roles on the remote cluster(s).
Improper Authorization in GitHub repository phpipam/phpipam prior to 1.4.6.
The /log endpoint on a Juju controller lacked sufficient authorization checks, allowing unauthorized users to access debug messages that could contain sensitive information.

This flaw affects tfm-rubygem-foreman_ansible versions before 4.0.3.4.
Magento Commerce versions 2.4.2 (and earlier), 2.4.2-p1 (and earlier) and 2.3.7 (and earlier) are affected by an improper improper authorization vulnerability. An authenticated attacker could leverage this vulnerability to achieve sensitive information disclosure.
An improper access control vulnerability was identified in GitHub Enterprise Server that allowed an authenticated user with the ability to fork a repository to disclose Actions secrets for the parent repository of the fork. This vulnerability existed due to a flaw that allowed the base reference of a pull request to be updated to point to an arbitrary SHA or another pull request outside of the fork repository. By establishing this incorrect reference in a PR, the restrictions that limit the Actions secrets sent a workflow from forks could be bypassed. This vulnerability affected GitHub Enterprise Server version 3.0.0, 3.0.0.rc2, and 3.0.0.rc1. This vulnerability was reported via the GitHub Bug Bounty program.
Improper authorization in Kibana can lead to privilege abuse via a direct HTTP request to a Synthetic monitor endpoint.
NATS Server is a high-performance server for NATS.io, the cloud and edge native messaging system. Prior to 2.14.0, 2.12.7, and 2.11.16, an authenticated user could receive messages on denied subjects when a wildcard subscription overlapped with a configured wildcard deny rule but was not a subset of it, and queue subscriptions could also affect delivery to legitimate queue consumers. This issue is fixed in versions 2.14.0, 2.12.7, and 2.11.16.
NATS Server is a high-performance server for NATS.io, the cloud and edge native messaging system. Prior to 2.14.0, 2.12.7, and 2.11.16, an authenticated user with subscription deny permissions could bypass a plain subject deny rule by using a queue subscription, because queue-specific deny evaluation could override the plain subject deny result when the queue name itself was not denied. This issue is fixed in versions 2.14.0, 2.12.7, and 2.11.16.
Banking services from SAP 9.0 (Bank Analyzer), version - 500, and SAP S/4HANA for financial products subledger, version 100, does not correctly perform necessary authorization checks for an authenticated user due to Improper Authorization checks, that may cause a system administrator to create incorrect authorization proposals. This may result in privilege escalation and may expose restricted banking data.
In Elide before 4.5.14, it is possible for an adversary to "guess and check" the value of a model field they do not have access to assuming they can read at least one other field in the model. The adversary can construct filter expressions for an inaccessible field to filter a collection. The presence or absence of models in the returned collection can be used to reconstruct the value of the inaccessible field. Resolved in Elide 4.5.14 and greater.
In Juju versions prior to 2.9.57 and 3.6.21, an authorization issue exists in the Controller facade. An authenticated user can call the CloudSpec API method to extract the cloud credentials used to bootstrap the controller. This allows a low-privileged user to access sensitive credentials. This issue is resolved in Juju versions 2.9.57 and 3.6.21.
Users are able to read group conversations without actively taking part in them. Next to one to one conversations, users are able to start group conversations with multiple users. It was found possible to obtain the contents of these group conversations without being part of it. This could lead to information leakage where confidential information discussed in private groups is read by other users without the users knowledge.
Steeltoe is an open source project that provides a collection of libraries that helps users build cloud-native applications. In Steeltoe.Management.Endpoint prior to version 4.2.0 and Steeltoe.Management.EndpointCore prior to version 3.4.0, all Steeltoe actuator endpoints default to `EndpointPermissions.Restricted`, which is mappeds to Cloud Foundry's `read_basic_data` permission (granted to Space Auditors and similar low-trust roles). Sensitive actuators including heap dump, environment, and thread dump do not raise this to `EndpointPermissions.Full`, so CF's `read_sensitive_data` permission flag is not enforced for those endpoints. Spring Boot's equivalent Cloud Foundry integration gates these endpoints with `read_sensitive_data` by default. Steeltoe.Management.Endpoint 4.2.0 and Steeltoe.Management.EndpointCore 3.4.0 patch the issue. If an immediate upgrade is not possible, explicitly set `RequiredPermissions = EndpointPermissions.Full` in the options for `HeapDumpEndpointOptions`, `EnvironmentEndpointOptions`, and `ThreadDumpEndpointOptions`; and/or if heap dump, thread dump, or environment are not needed in production, register only the required actuators individually instead of using `AddAllActuators()`.
Nextcloud is an open source content collaboration platform. Prior to version 2.7.2, a privilege escalation vulnerability exists in the Approval app that allows a user without sharing permissions to force the system to share a file with approvers. This results in an authorization bypass and privilege escalation, allowing unauthorized distribution of restricted files. This issue has been patched in version 2.7.2.
LinkAce is a self-hosted archive to collect website links. In versions prior to 2.5.3, a private note attached to a non-private link can be disclosed to a different authenticated user via the web interface. The API appears to correctly enforce note visibility, but the web link detail page renders notes without applying equivalent visibility filtering. As a result, an authenticated user who is allowed to view another user's `internal` or `public` link can read that user's `private` notes attached to the link. Version 2.5.3 patches the issue.
Vikunja is an open-source self-hosted task management platform. Prior to version 2.2.2, the `LinkSharing.ReadAll()` method allows link share authenticated users to list all link shares for a project, including their secret hashes. While `LinkSharing.CanRead()` correctly blocks link share users from reading individual shares via `ReadOne`, the `ReadAllWeb` handler bypasses this check by never calling `CanRead()`. An attacker with a read-only link share can retrieve hashes for write or admin link shares on the same project and authenticate with them, escalating to full admin access. Version 2.2.2 patches the issue.
Improper authorization in Microsoft Teams allows an authorized attacker to disclose information over a network.
OpenEMR is a free and open source electronic health records and medical practice management application. A Broken Access Control vulnerability in OpenEMR up to and including version 8.0.0.3 allows low-privilege users to view and download Ensora eRx error logs without proper authorization checks. This flaw compromises system confidentiality by exposing sensitive information, potentially leading to unauthorized data disclosure and misuse. As of time of publication, no known patches versions are available.
A vulnerability in the web interface for specific feature sets of Cisco Integrated Management Controller (IMC) Supervisor and Cisco UCS Director could allow an authenticated, remote attacker to access sensitive information. The vulnerability is due to an authorization check that does not properly include the access level of the web interface user. An attacker who has valid application credentials could exploit this vulnerability by sending a crafted HTTP request to the web interface. A successful exploit could allow the attacker to view sensitive information that belongs to other users. The attacker could then use this information to conduct additional reconnaissance attacks.
SciTokens is a reference library for generating and using SciTokens. Prior to version 1.9.6, the Enforcer incorrectly validates scope paths by using a simple prefix match (startswith). This allows a token with access to a specific path (e.g., /john) to also access sibling paths that start with the same prefix (e.g., /johnathan, /johnny), which is an Authorization Bypass. This issue has been patched in version 1.9.6.
The GenerateBlocks plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to unauthorized access of data due to a missing capability check on the 'get_option_rest' function in all versions up to, and including, 2.1.1. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with contributor level access and above, to read arbitrary WordPress options, including sensitive information such as SMTP credentials, API keys, and other data stored by other plugins.
