serial: mxs-auart: add spinlock around changing cts state

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: serial: mxs-auart: add spinlock around changing cts state The uart_handle_cts_change() function in serial_core expects the caller to hold uport->lock. For example, I have seen the below kernel splat, when the Bluetooth driver is loaded on an i.MX28 board. In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: Bluetooth: MGMT: validate LTK enc_size on load Load Long Term Keys stores the user-provided enc_size and later uses it to size fixed-size stack operations when replying to LE LTK requests. An enc_size larger than the 16-byte key buffer can therefore overflow the reply stack buffer. Reject oversized enc_size values while validating the management LTK record so invalid keys never reach the stored key state.

KVM: nVMX: Always make an attempt to map eVMCS after migration

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: KVM: nVMX: Always make an attempt to map eVMCS after migration When enlightened VMCS is in use and nested state is migrated with vmx_get_nested_state()/vmx_set_nested_state() KVM can't map evmcs page right away: evmcs gpa is not 'struct kvm_vmx_nested_state_hdr' and we can't read it from VP assist page because userspace may decide to restore HV_X64_MSR_VP_ASSIST_PAGE after restoring nested state (and QEMU, for example, does exactly that). To make sure eVMCS is mapped /vmx_set_nested_state() raises KVM_REQ_GET_NESTED_STATE_PAGES request. Commit f2c7ef3ba955 ("KVM: nSVM: cancel KVM_REQ_GET_NESTED_STATE_PAGES on nested vmexit") added KVM_REQ_GET_NESTED_STATE_PAGES clearing to nested_vmx_vmexit() to make sure MSR permission bitmap is not switched when an immediate exit from L2 to L1 happens right after migration (caused by a pending event, for example). Unfortunately, in the exact same situation we still need to have eVMCS mapped so nested_sync_vmcs12_to_shadow() reflects changes in VMCS12 to eVMCS. As a band-aid, restore nested_get_evmcs_page() when clearing KVM_REQ_GET_NESTED_STATE_PAGES in nested_vmx_vmexit(). The 'fix' is far from being ideal as we can't easily propagate possible failures and even if we could, this is most likely already too late to do so. The whole 'KVM_REQ_GET_NESTED_STATE_PAGES' idea for mapping eVMCS after migration seems to be fragile as we diverge too much from the 'native' path when vmptr loading happens on vmx_set_nested_state().

Unfortunately, these Ceph functions are undocumented and its semantics can only be derived from the code. I see that ceph_mdsc_build_path() initializes the structure only on success, but not on error. Calling ceph_mdsc_free_path_info() after a failed ceph_mdsc_build_path() call does not even make sense, but that's what all callers do, and for it to be safe, the structure must be zero-initialized. The least intrusive approach to fix this is therefore to add initializers everywhere.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: iio: mma8452: Fix trigger reference couting The mma8452 driver directly assigns a trigger to the struct iio_dev. The IIO core when done using this trigger will call `iio_trigger_put()` to drop the reference count by 1. Without the matching `iio_trigger_get()` in the driver the reference count can reach 0 too early, the trigger gets freed while still in use and a use-after-free occurs. Fix this by getting a reference to the trigger before assigning it to the IIO device.

Kernel: netfilter: use-after-free in nft_trans_gc_catchall_sync leads to privilege escalation

In shiftfs, a non-upstream patch to the Linux kernel included in the Ubuntu 5.0 and 5.3 kernel series, shiftfs_btrfs_ioctl_fd_replace() calls fdget(oldfd), then without further checks passes the resulting file* into shiftfs_real_fdget(), which casts file->private_data, a void* that points to a filesystem-dependent type, to a "struct shiftfs_file_info *". As the private_data is not required to be a pointer, an attacker can use this to cause a denial of service or possibly execute arbitrary code.

scsi: mpi3mr: Fix issues in mpi3mr_get_all_tgt_info()

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: scsi: mpi3mr: Fix issues in mpi3mr_get_all_tgt_info() The function mpi3mr_get_all_tgt_info() has four issues: 1) It calculates valid entry length in alltgt_info assuming the header part of the struct mpi3mr_device_map_info would equal to sizeof(u32). The correct size is sizeof(u64). 2) When it calculates the valid entry length kern_entrylen, it excludes one entry by subtracting 1 from num_devices. 3) It copies num_device by calling memcpy(). Substitution is enough. 4) It does not specify the calculated length to sg_copy_from_buffer(). Instead, it specifies the payload length which is larger than the alltgt_info size. It causes "BUG: KASAN: slab-out-of-bounds". Fix the issues by using the correct header size, removing the subtraction from num_devices, replacing the memcpy() with substitution and specifying the correct length to sg_copy_from_buffer().

This is because that on load balance if the dst_cpu is not allowed by the task, we'll re-select a new_dst_cpu as a candidate. If no task can be balanced to dst_cpu we'll try to balance the task to the new_dst_cpu instead. In this case when the migration disabled task is not on CPU it only allows to run on its current CPU, load balance will select its current CPU as new_dst_cpu and later triggers the warning above. The new_dst_cpu is chosen from the env->dst_grpmask. Currently it contains CPUs in sched_group_span() and if we have overlapped groups it's possible to run into this case. This patch makes env->dst_grpmask of group_balance_mask() which exclude any CPUs from the busiest group and solve the issue. For balancing in a domain with no overlapped groups the behaviour keeps same as before.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: atm: add lec_mutex syzbot found its way in net/atm/lec.c, and found an error path in lecd_attach() could leave a dangling pointer in dev_lec[]. Add a mutex to protect dev_lecp[] uses from lecd_attach(), lec_vcc_attach() and lec_mcast_attach(). Following patch will use this mutex for /proc/net/atm/lec. ipvlan: add ipvlan_route_v6_outbound() helper

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ipvlan: add ipvlan_route_v6_outbound() helper Inspired by syzbot reports using a stack of multiple ipvlan devices. Reduce stack size needed in ipvlan_process_v6_outbound() by moving the flowi6 struct used for the route lookup in an non inlined helper. ipvlan_route_v6_outbound() needs 120 bytes on the stack, immediately reclaimed. Also make sure ipvlan_process_v4_outbound() is not inlined. We might also have to lower MAX_NEST_DEV, because only syzbot uses setups with more than four stacked devices.
