Concurrent Execution using Shared Resource with Improper Synchronization ('Race Condition') vulnerability in Apache Answer. This issue affects Apache Answer: through 1.2.1. Repeated submission during registration resulted in the registration of the same user. When users register, if they rapidly submit multiple registrations using scripts, it can result in the creation of multiple user accounts simultaneously with the same name. Users are recommended to upgrade to version [1.2.5], which fixes the issue.
Shopper is a Headless e-commerce Admin Panel. Prior to 2.8.0, CreateOrderFromCartAction::execute previously created the Order row before checking and incrementing the discount's total_use counter. Under concurrent checkout pressure (Black Friday, flash sale, viral coupon), the global usage_limit was silently exceeded: orders were committed with the discount fully applied to price_amount while the counter blocked at usage_limit. The merchant had no signal that an over-redemption had occurred. This vulnerability is fixed in 2.8.0.

This can lead to overselling when stock is limited, as the system fails to accurately track inventory under high concurrency, resulting in potential loss and unfulfilled orders.
alf.io is an open source ticket reservation system for conferences, trade shows, workshops, and meetups. Prior to version 2.0-M5, a race condition allows the user to bypass the limit on the number of promo codes and use the discount coupon multiple times. In "alf.io", an event organizer can apply price discounts by using promo codes to your events. The organizer can limit the number of promo codes that will be used for this, but the time-gap between checking the number of codes and restricting the use of the codes allows a threat actor to bypass the promo code limit. Version 2.0-M5 fixes this issue.
Parse Server is an open source backend that can be deployed to any infrastructure that can run Node.js. Prior to 8.6.76 and 9.9.0-alpha.2, a race condition in the MFA SMS one-time password (OTP) login path allows two concurrent /login requests carrying the same OTP to both succeed and both receive valid session tokens, breaking the single-use property of the OTP. The vulnerability requires the attacker to already possess the victim's password and intercept the active SMS OTP (e.g. via SIM swap, network mirror, or phishing relay) and to race the legitimate login request, so the practical attack surface is narrow. This vulnerability is fixed in 8.6.76 and 9.9.0-alpha.2.
Dradis Professional Edition before 4.3.0 allows attackers to change an account password via reusing a password reset token.
