PCI: endpoint: Clean up error handling in vpci_scan_bus()

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: PCI: endpoint: Clean up error handling in vpci_scan_bus() Smatch complains about inconsistent NULL checking in vpci_scan_bus(): drivers/pci/endpoint/functions/pci-epf-vntb.c:1024 vpci_scan_bus() error: we previously assumed 'vpci_bus' could be null (see line 1021) Instead of printing an error message and then crashing we should return an error code and clean up. Also the NULL check is reversed so it prints an error for success instead of failure.

crypto: af-alg - fix NULL pointer dereference in scatterwalk

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: crypto: af-alg - fix NULL pointer dereference in scatterwalk The AF_ALG interface fails to unmark the end of a Scatter/Gather List (SGL) when chaining a new af_alg_tsgl structure. If a sendmsg() fills an SGL exactly to MAX_SGL_ENTS, the last entry is marked as the end. A subsequent sendmsg() allocates a new SGL and chains it, but fails to clear the end marker on the previous SGL's last data entry. This causes the crypto scatterwalk to hit a premature end, returning NULL on sg_next() and leading to a kernel panic during dereference. Fix this by explicitly unmarking the end of the previous SGL when performing sg_chain() in af_alg_alloc_tsgl().

af_unix: Get user_ns from in_skb in unix_diag_get_exact().

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: af_unix: Get user_ns from in_skb in unix_diag_get_exact(). Wei Chen reported a NULL deref in sk_user_ns() [0][1], and Paolo diagnosed the root cause: in unix_diag_get_exact(), the newly allocated skb does not have sk. [2] We must get the user_ns from the NETLINK_CB(in_skb).sk and pass it to sk_diag_fill(). However, the probe function continues execution and registers svc_normal_to_secure_thread(), which subsequently attempts to access the already-freed channel, triggering the NULL pointer dereference. Fix this by properly cleaning up the async client and returning early on failure, preventing the thread from being used with an invalid channel.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: nvkm/gsp: correctly advance the read pointer of GSP message queue A GSP event message consists three parts: message header, RPC header, message body. GSP calculates the number of pages to write from the total size of a GSP message. This behavior can be observed from the movement of the write pointer. However, nvkm takes only the size of RPC header and message body as the message size when advancing the read pointer. When handling a two-page GSP message in the non rollback case, It wrongly takes the message body of the previous message as the message header of the next message. As the "message length" tends to be zero, in the calculation of size needs to be copied (0 - size of (message header)), the size needs to be copied will be "0xffffffxx". It also triggers a kernel panic due to a NULL pointer error. [ 547.614102] msg: 00000f90: ff ff ff ff ff ff ff ff 40 d7 18 fb 8b 00 00 00 ........@....... fou: Fix null-ptr-deref in GRO.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: fou: Fix null-ptr-deref in GRO. We observed a null-ptr-deref in fou_gro_receive() while shutting down a host. [0] The NULL pointer is sk->sk_user_data, and the offset 8 is of protocol in struct fou. When fou_release() is called due to netns dismantle or explicit tunnel teardown, udp_tunnel_sock_release() sets NULL to sk->sk_user_data. Then, the tunnel socket is destroyed after a single RCU grace period. So, in-flight udp4_gro_receive() could find the socket and execute the FOU GRO handler, where sk->sk_user_data could be NULL. Let's use rcu_dereference_sk_user_data() in fou_from_sock() and add NULL checks in FOU GRO handlers. can: dev: can_get_echo_skb(): prevent call to kfree_skb() in hard IRQ context

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: can: dev: can_get_echo_skb(): prevent call to kfree_skb() in hard IRQ context If a driver calls can_get_echo_skb() during a hardware IRQ (which is often, but not always, the case), the 'WARN_ON(in_irq)' in net/core/skbuff.c#skb_release_head_state() might be triggered, under network congestion circumstances, together with the potential risk of a NULL pointer dereference. The root cause of this issue is the call to kfree_skb() instead of dev_kfree_skb_irq() in net/core/dev.c#enqueue_to_backlog(). This patch prevents the skb to be freed within the call to netif_rx() by incrementing its reference count with skb_get(). The skb is finally freed by one of the in-irq-context safe functions: dev_consume_skb_any() or dev_kfree_skb_any(). The "any" version is used because some drivers might call can_get_echo_skb() in a normal context. The reason for this issue to occur is that initially, in the core network stack, loopback skb were not supposed to be received in hardware IRQ context. The CAN stack is an exeption. This bug was previously reported back in 2017 in [1] but the proposed patch never got accepted. While [1] directly modifies net/core/dev.c, we try to propose here a smoother modification local to CAN network stack (the assumption behind is that only CAN devices are affected by this issue). drm/amdgpu: Change AMDGPU_VA_RESERVED_TRAP_SIZE to 64KB

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/amdgpu: Change AMDGPU_VA_RESERVED_TRAP_SIZE to 64KB Currently, AMDGPU_VA_RESERVED_TRAP_SIZE is hardcoded to 8KB, while KFD_CWSR_TBA_TMA_SIZE is defined as 2 * PAGE_SIZE. On systems with 4K pages, both values match (8KB), so allocation and reserved space are consistent. This means we reserve 64 KB for the trap in the address space, but only allocate 8 KB within it. With this approach, the allocation size never exceeds the reserved area. nfsd: prevent panic for nfsv4.0 closed files in nfs4_show_open

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: nfsd: prevent panic for nfsv4.0 closed files in nfs4_show_open Prior to commit 3f29cc82a84c ("nfsd: split sc_status out of sc_type") states_show() relied on sc_type field to be of valid type before calling into a subfunction to show content of a particular stateid. From that commit, we split the validity of the stateid into sc_status and no longer changed sc_type to 0 while unhashing the stateid. This resulted in kernel oopsing for nfsv4.0 opens that stay around and in nfs4_show_open() would derefence sc_file which was NULL. Instead, for closed open stateids forgo displaying information that relies of having a valid sc_file. To reproduce: mount the server with 4.0, read and close a file and then on the server cat /proc/fs/nfsd/clients/2/states [ 513.590804] Call trace: [ 513.590925] _raw_spin_lock+0xcc/0x160 [ 513.591119] nfs4_show_open+0x78/0x2c0 [nfsd] [ 513.591412] states_show+0x44c/0x488 [nfsd] [ 513.591681] seq_read_iter+0x5d8/0x760 [ 513.591896] seq_read+0x188/0x208 [ 513.592075] vfs_read+0x148/0x470 [ 513.592241] ksys_read+0xcc/0x178

KVM: arm64: Make ICC_*SGI*_EL1 undef in the absence of a vGICv3

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: KVM: arm64: Make ICC_*SGI*_EL1 undef in the absence of a vGICv3 On a system with a GICv3, if a guest hasn't been configured with GICv3 and that the host is not capable of GICv2 emulation, a write to any of the ICC_*SGI*_EL1 registers is trapped to EL2. We therefore try to emulate the SGI access, only to hit a NULL pointer as no private interrupt is allocated (no GIC, remember?). The obvious fix is to give the guest what it deserves, in the shape of a UNDEF exception.

wifi: brcmfmac: Fix oops due to NULL pointer dereference in brcmf_sdiod_sglist_rw()

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: wifi: brcmfmac: Fix oops due to NULL pointer dereference in brcmf_sdiod_sglist_rw() This patch fixes a NULL pointer dereference bug in brcmfmac that occurs when a high 'sd_sgentry_align' value applies (e.g. 512) and a lot of queued SKBs are sent from the pkt queue. The problem is the number of entries in the pre-allocated sgtable, it is nents = max(rxglom_size, txglom_size) + max(rxglom_size, txglom_size) >> 4 + 1. Given the default [rt]xglom_size=32 it's actually 35 which is too small. Worst case, the pkt queue can end up with 64 SKBs. This occurs when a new SKB is added for each original SKB if tailroom isn't enough to hold tail_pad. At least one sg entry is needed for each SKB. So, eventually the "skb_queue_walk loop" in brcmf_sdiod_sglist_rw may run out of sg entries. This makes sg_next return NULL and this causes the oops. The patch sets nents to max(rxglom_size, txglom_size) * 2 to be able handle the worst-case. Btw. this requires only 64-35=29 * 16 (or 20 if CONFIG_NEED_SG_DMA_LENGTH) = 464 additional bytes of memory.

cifs: prevent NULL pointer dereference in UTF16 conversion

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: cifs: prevent NULL pointer dereference in UTF16 conversion There can be a NULL pointer dereference bug here. NULL is passed to __cifs_sfu_make_node without checks, which passes it unchecked to cifs_strndup_to_utf16, which in turn passes it to cifs_local_to_utf16_bytes where '*from' is dereferenced, causing a crash. This patch adds a check for NULL 'src' in cifs_strndup_to_utf16 and returns NULL early to prevent dereferencing NULL pointer. Found by Linux Verification Center (linuxtesting.org) with SVACE

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: sched: Fix sched_numa_find_nth_cpu() if mask offline sched_numa_find_nth_cpu() uses a bsearch to look for the 'closest' CPU in sched_domains_numa_masks and given cpus mask. However they might not intersect if all CPUs in the cpus mask are offline. bsearch will return NULL in that case, bail out instead of dereferencing a bogus pointer. The previous behaviour lead to this bug when using maxcpus=4 on an rk3399 (LLLLbb) (i.e. booting with all big CPUs offline): [ 1.422922] Unable to handle kernel paging request at virtual address ffffff8000000000 [ 1.423635] Mem abort info: [ 1.423889] ESR = 0x0000000096000006 [ 1.424227] EC = 0x25: DABT (current EL), IL = 32 bits [ 1.424715] SET = 0, FnV = 0 [ 1.424995] EA = 0, S1PTW = 0 [ 1.425279] FSC = 0x06: level 2 translation fault [ 1.425735] Data abort info: [ 1.425998] ISV = 0, ISS = 0x00000006, ISS2 = 0x00000000 [ 1.426499] CM = 0, WnR = 0, TnD = 0, TagAccess = 0 [ 1.426952] GCS = 0, Overlay = 0, DirtyBit = 0, Xs = 0 [ 1.427428] swapper pgtable: 4k pages, 39-bit VAs, pgdp=0000000004a9f000 [ 1.428038] [ffffff8000000000] pgd=18000000f7fff403, p4d=18000000f7fff403, pud=18000000f7fff403, pmd=0000000000000000 [ 1.429014] Internal error: Oops: 0000000096000006 [#1] SMP [ 1.429525] Modules linked in: [ 1.429813] CPU: 3 UID: 0 PID: 1 Comm: swapper/0 Not tainted 6.17.0-rc4-dirty #343 PREEMPT [ 1.430559] Hardware name: Pine64 RockPro64 v2.1 (DT) [ 1.431012] pstate: 60000005 (nZCv daif -PAN -UAO -TCO -DIT -SSBS BTYPE=--) [ 1.431634] pc : sched_numa_find_nth_cpu+0x2a0/0x488 [ 1.432094] lr : sched_numa_find_nth_cpu+0x284/0x488 [ 1.432543] sp : ffffffc084e1b960 [ 1.432843] x29: ffffffc084e1b960 x28: ffffff80078a8800 x27: ffffffc0846eb1d0 [ 1.433495] x26: 0000000000000000 x25: 0000000000000000 x24: 0000000000000000 [ 1.434144] x23: 0000000000000000 x22: fffffffffff7f093 x21: ffffffc081de6378 [ 1.434792] x20: 0000000000000000 x19: 0000000ffff7f093 x18: 00000000ffffffff [ 1.435441] x17: 3030303866666666 x16: 66663d736b73616d x15: ffffffc104e1b5b7 [ 1.436091] x14: 0000000000000000 x13: ffffffc084712860 x12: 0000000000000372 [ 1.436739] x11: 0000000000000126 x10: ffffffc08476a860 x9 : ffffffc084712860 [ 1.437389] x8 : 00000000ffffefff x7 : ffffffc08476a860 x6 : 0000000000000000 [ 1.438036] x5 : 000000000000bff4 x4 : 0000000000000000 x3 : 0000000000000000 [ 1.438683] x2 : 0000000000000000 x1 : ffffffc0846eb000 x0 : ffffff8000407b68 [ 1.439332] Call trace: [ 1.439559] sched_numa_find_nth_cpu+0x2a0/0x488 (P) [ 1.440016] smp_call_function_any+0xc8/0xd0 [ 1.440416] armv8_pmu_init+0x58/0x27c [ 1.440770] armv8_cortex_a72_pmu_init+0x20/0x2c [ 1.441199] arm_pmu_device_probe+0x1e4/0x5e8 [ 1.441603] armv8_pmu_device_probe+0x1c/0x28 [ 1.442007] platform_probe+0x5c/0xac [ 1.442347] really_probe+0xbc/0x298 [ 1.442683] __driver_probe_device+0x78/0x12c [ 1.443087] driver_probe_device+0xdc/0x160 [ 1.443475] __driver_attach+0x94/0x19c [ 1.443833] bus_for_each_dev+0x74/0xd4 [ 1.444190] driver_attach+0x24/0x30 [ 1.444525] bus_add_driver+0xe4/0x208 [ 1.444874] driver_register+0x60/0x128 [ 1.445233] __platform_driver_register+0x24/0x30 [ 1.445662] armv8_pmu_driver_init+0x28/0x4c [ 1.446059] do_one_initcall+0x44/0x25c [ 1.446416] kernel_init_freeable+0x1dc/0x3bc [ 1.446820] kernel_init+0x20/0x1d8 [ 1.447151] ret_from_fork+0x10/0x20 [ 1.447493] Code: 90022e21 f000e5f5 910de2b5 2a1703e2 (f8767803) [ 1.448040] ---[ end trace 0000000000000000 ]--- [ 1.448483] note: swapper/0[1] exited with preempt_count 1 [ 1.449047] Kernel panic - not syncing: Attempted to kill init! exitcode=0x0000000b [ 1.449741] SMP: stopping secondary CPUs [ 1.450105] Kernel Offset: disabled [ 1.450419] CPU features: 0x000000,00080000,20002001,0400421b [ ---truncated---

net/sched: ets: use old 'nbands' while purging unused classes

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net/sched: ets: use old 'nbands' while purging unused classes Shuang reported sch_ets test-case [1] crashing in ets_class_qlen_notify() after recent changes from Lion [2]. The problem is: in ets_qdisc_change() we purge unused DWRR queues; the value of 'q->nbands' is the new one, and the cleanup should be done with the old one. The problem is here since my first attempts to fix ets_qdisc_change(), but it surfaced again after the recent qdisc len accounting fixes. Fix it purging idle DWRR queues before assigning a new value of 'q->nbands', so that all purge operations find a consistent configuration: - old 'q->nbands' because it's needed by ets_class_find() - old 'q->nstrict' because it's needed by ets_class_is_strict() BUG: kernel NULL pointer dereference, address: 0000000000000000 #PF: supervisor read access in kernel mode #PF: error_code(0x0000) - not-present page PGD 0 P4D 0 Oops: Oops: 0000 [#1] SMP NOPTI CPU: 62 UID: 0 PID: 39457 Comm: tc Kdump: loaded Not tainted 6.12.0-116.el10.x86_64 #1 PREEMPT(voluntary) Hardware name: Dell Inc. xhci: Fix Panther point NULL pointer deref at full-speed re-enumeration

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: xhci: Fix Panther point NULL pointer deref at full-speed re-enumeration re-enumerating full-speed devices after a failed address device command can trigger a NULL pointer dereference. Full-speed devices may need to reconfigure the endpoint 0 Max Packet Size value during enumeration. Usb core calls usb_ep0_reinit() in this case, which ends up calling xhci_configure_endpoint(). On Panther point xHC the xhci_configure_endpoint() function will additionally check and reserve bandwidth in software. Other hosts do this in hardware If xHC address device command fails then a new xhci_virt_device structure is allocated as part of re-enabling the slot, but the bandwidth table pointers are not set up properly here. This triggers the NULL pointer dereference the next time usb_ep0_reinit() is called and xhci_configure_endpoint() tries to check and reserve bandwidth [46710.713538] usb 3-1: new full-speed USB device number 5 using xhci_hcd [46710.713699] usb 3-1: Device not responding to setup address. ARM: 9170/1: fix panic when kasan and kprobe are enabled

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ARM: 9170/1: fix panic when kasan and kprobe are enabled arm32 uses software to simulate the instruction replaced by kprobe. some instructions may be simulated by constructing assembly functions. therefore, before executing instruction simulation, it is necessary to construct assembly function execution environment in C language through binding registers. after kasan is enabled, the register binding relationship will be destroyed, resulting in instruction simulation errors and causing kernel panic. the kprobe emulate instruction function is distributed in three files: actions-common.c actions-arm.c actions-thumb.c, so disable KASAN when compiling these files. for example, use kprobe insert on cap_capable+20 after kasan enabled, the cap_capable assembly code is as follows: <cap_capable>: e92d47f0 push {r4, r5, r6, r7, r8, r9, sl, lr} e1a05000 mov r5, r0 e280006c add r0, r0, #108 ; 0x6c e1a04001 mov r4, r1 e1a06002 mov r6, r2 e59fa090 ldr sl, [pc, #144] ; ebfc7bf8 bl c03aa4b4 <__asan_load4> e595706c ldr r7, [r5, #108] ; 0x6c e2859014 add r9, r5, #20 ...... net: nexthop: fix null pointer dereference when IPv6 is not enabled

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: nexthop: fix null pointer dereference when IPv6 is not enabled When we try to add an IPv6 nexthop and IPv6 is not enabled (!CONFIG_IPV6) we'll hit a NULL pointer dereference[1] in the error path of nh_create_ipv6() due to calling ipv6_stub->fib6_nh_release. The bug has been present since the beginning of IPv6 nexthop gateway support. Commit 1aefd3de7bc6 ("ipv6: Add fib6_nh_init and release to stubs") tells us that only fib6_nh_init has a dummy stub because fib6_nh_release should not be called if fib6_nh_init returns an error, but the commit below added a call to ipv6_stub->fib6_nh_release in its error path. To fix it return the dummy stub's -EAFNOSUPPORT error directly without calling ipv6_stub->fib6_nh_release in nh_create_ipv6()'s error path. [1] Output is a bit truncated, but it clearly shows the error. netfilter: iptables: Fix null-ptr-deref in iptable_nat_table_init().

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: netfilter: iptables: Fix null-ptr-deref in iptable_nat_table_init(). We had a report that iptables-restore sometimes triggered null-ptr-deref at boot time. [0] The problem is that iptable_nat_table_init() is exposed to user space before the kernel fully initialises netns. In the small race window, a user could call iptable_nat_table_init() that accesses net_generic(net, iptable_nat_net_id), which is available only after registering iptable_nat_net_ops. s390/dasd: fix error checks in dasd_copy_pair_store()

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: s390/dasd: fix error checks in dasd_copy_pair_store() dasd_add_busid() can return an error via ERR_PTR() if an allocation fails. However, two callsites in dasd_copy_pair_store() do not check the result, potentially resulting in a NULL pointer dereference. Fix this by checking the result with IS_ERR() and returning the error up the stack.

As btrfs/167 is doing a NOCOW write this is to be expected. Further analysis with drgn confirmed the assumption: >>> inode = prog.crashed_thread().stack_trace()[11]['ordered'].inode >>> btrfs_inode = drgn.container_of(inode, "struct btrfs_inode", \ "vfs_inode") >>> print(btrfs_inode.flags) (u32)1 As zoned emulation mode simulates conventional zones on regular devices, we cannot use zone-append for writing. But we're only attaching dummy checksums if we're doing a zone-append write. So for NOCOW zoned data writes on conventional zones, also attach a dummy checksum.

HID: nintendo: fix rumble worker null pointer deref

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: HID: nintendo: fix rumble worker null pointer deref We can dereference a null pointer trying to queue work to a destroyed workqueue. If the device is disconnected, nintendo_hid_remove is called, in which the rumble_queue is destroyed. Avoid using that queue to defer rumble work once the controller state is set to JOYCON_CTLR_STATE_REMOVED. This eliminates the null pointer dereference.

gpiolib: cdev: fix NULL-pointer dereferences

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: gpiolib: cdev: fix NULL-pointer dereferences There are several places where we can crash the kernel by requesting lines, unbinding the GPIO device, then calling any of the system calls relevant to the GPIO character device's annonymous file descriptors: ioctl(), read(), poll(). While I observed it with the GPIO simulator, it will also happen for any of the GPIO devices that can be hot-unplugged - for instance any HID GPIO expander (e.g. CP2112). This affects both v1 and v2 uAPI. This fixes it partially by checking if gdev->chip is not NULL but it doesn't entirely remedy the situation as we still have a race condition in which another thread can remove the device after the check.

binder: fix alloc->vma_vm_mm null-ptr dereference

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: binder: fix alloc->vma_vm_mm null-ptr dereference Syzbot reported a couple issues introduced by commit 44e602b4e52f ("binder_alloc: add missing mmap_lock calls when using the VMA"), in which we attempt to acquire the mmap_lock when alloc->vma_vm_mm has not been initialized yet. This can happen if a binder_proc receives a transaction without having previously called mmap() to setup the binder_proc->alloc space in [1]. Also, a similar issue occurs via binder_alloc_print_pages() when we try to dump the debugfs binder stats file in [2]. Sample of syzbot's crash report: ================================================================== KASAN: null-ptr-deref in range [0x0000000000000128-0x000000000000012f] CPU: 0 PID: 3755 Comm: syz-executor229 Not tainted 6.0.0-rc1-next-20220819-syzkaller #0 syz-executor229[3755] cmdline: ./syz-executor2294415195 Hardware name: Google Google Compute Engine/Google Compute Engine, BIOS Google 07/22/2022 RIP: 0010:__lock_acquire+0xd83/0x56d0 kernel/locking/lockdep.c:4923 [...] Call Trace: <TASK> lock_acquire kernel/locking/lockdep.c:5666 [inline] lock_acquire+0x1ab/0x570 kernel/locking/lockdep.c:5631 down_read+0x98/0x450 kernel/locking/rwsem.c:1499 mmap_read_lock include/linux/mmap_lock.h:117 [inline] binder_alloc_new_buf_locked drivers/android/binder_alloc.c:405 [inline] binder_alloc_new_buf+0xa5/0x19e0 drivers/android/binder_alloc.c:593 binder_transaction+0x242e/0x9a80 drivers/android/binder.c:3199 binder_thread_write+0x664/0x3220 drivers/android/binder.c:3986 binder_ioctl_write_read drivers/android/binder.c:5036 [inline] binder_ioctl+0x3470/0x6d00 drivers/android/binder.c:5323 vfs_ioctl fs/ioctl.c:51 [inline] __do_sys_ioctl fs/ioctl.c:870 [inline] __se_sys_ioctl fs/ioctl.c:856 [inline] __x64_sys_ioctl+0x193/0x200 fs/ioctl.c:856 do_syscall_x64 arch/x86/entry/common.c:50 [inline] do_syscall_64+0x35/0xb0 arch/x86/entry/common.c:80 entry_SYSCALL_64_after_hwframe+0x63/0xcd [...] ================================================================== Fix these issues by setting up alloc->vma_vm_mm pointer during open() and caching directly from current->mm. vdpa_sim_blk: set number of address spaces and virtqueue groups

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: vdpa_sim_blk: set number of address spaces and virtqueue groups Commit bda324fd037a ("vdpasim: control virtqueue support") added two new fields (nas, ngroups) to vdpasim_dev_attr, but we forgot to initialize them for vdpa_sim_blk. When creating a new vdpa_sim_blk device this causes the kernel to panic in this way:    $ vdpa dev add mgmtdev vdpasim_blk name blk0    BUG: kernel NULL pointer dereference, address: 0000000000000030    ...    RIP: 0010:vhost_iotlb_add_range_ctx+0x41/0x220 [vhost_iotlb]    ...    Call Trace:     <TASK>     vhost_iotlb_add_range+0x11/0x800 [vhost_iotlb]     vdpasim_map_range+0x91/0xd0 [vdpa_sim]     vdpasim_alloc_coherent+0x56/0x90 [vdpa_sim]     ... This happens because vdpasim->iommu[0] is not initialized when dev_attr.nas is 0. Let's fix this issue by initializing both (nas, ngroups) to 1 for vdpa_sim_blk.

mmc: rtsx_pci: fix return value check of mmc_add_host()

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: mmc: rtsx_pci: fix return value check of mmc_add_host() mmc_add_host() may return error, if we ignore its return value, the memory that allocated in mmc_alloc_host() will be leaked and it will lead a kernel crash because of deleting not added device in the remove path. So fix this by checking the return value and calling mmc_free_host() in the error path, beside, runtime PM also needs be disabled.

scsi: iscsi: iscsi_tcp: Fix null-ptr-deref while calling getpeername()

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: scsi: iscsi: iscsi_tcp: Fix null-ptr-deref while calling getpeername() Fix a NULL pointer crash that occurs when we are freeing the socket at the same time we access it via sysfs. The problem is that: 1. iscsi_sw_tcp_conn_get_param() and iscsi_sw_tcp_host_get_param() take the frwd_lock and do sock_hold() then drop the frwd_lock. sock_hold() does a get on the "struct sock". 2. iscsi_sw_tcp_release_conn() does sockfd_put() which does the last put on the "struct socket" and that does __sock_release() which sets the sock->ops to NULL. 3. iscsi_sw_tcp_conn_get_param() and iscsi_sw_tcp_host_get_param() then call kernel_getpeername() which accesses the NULL sock->ops. Above we do a get on the "struct sock", but we needed a get on the "struct socket". Originally, we just held the frwd_lock the entire time but in commit bcf3a2953d36 ("scsi: iscsi: iscsi_tcp: Avoid holding spinlock while calling getpeername()") we switched to refcount based because the network layer changed and started taking a mutex in that path, so we could no longer hold the frwd_lock. Instead of trying to maintain multiple refcounts, this just has us use a mutex for accessing the socket in the interface code paths.
