dnskeygen in BIND 8.2.4 and earlier, and dnssec-keygen in BIND 9.1.2 and earlier, set insecure permissions for a HMAC-MD5 shared secret key file used for DNS Transactional Signatures (TSIG), which allows attackers to obtain the keys and perform dynamic DNS updates.
Dell PowerScale OneFS, versions 8.2.x-9.4.x, contain a weak encoding for a NDMP password. A malicious and privileged local attacker could potentially exploit this vulnerability, leading to a full system compromise
MacOS version of GIMP bundles a Python interpreter that inherits the Transparency, Consent, and Control (TCC) permissions granted by the user to the main application bundle. An attacker with local user access can invoke this interpreter with arbitrary commands or scripts, leveraging the application's previously granted TCC permissions to access user's files in privacy-protected folders without triggering user prompts. Accessing other resources beyond previously granted TCC permissions will prompt the user for approval in the name of GIMP, potentially disguising attacker's malicious intent. This issue has been fixed in 3.1.4.2 version of GIMP.
In onPackageAddedInternal of PermissionManagerService.java, there is possible access to external storage due to a permissions bypass. This could lead to local escalation of privilege with User execution privileges needed. User interaction is not needed for exploitation.Product: AndroidVersions: Android-10 Android-11Android ID: A-171430330

During the AWS Client VPN client installation on Windows devices, the install process references the C:\usr\local\windows-x86_64-openssl-localbuild\ssl directory location to fetch the OpenSSL configuration file. As a result, a non-admin user could place arbitrary code in the configuration file. If an admin user starts the AWS Client VPN client installation process, that code could be executed with root-level privileges. This issue does not affect Linux or Mac devices. We recommend users discontinue any new installations of AWS Client VPN on Windows prior to version 5.2.2.
In many locations, there is a possible way to access kernel memory in user space due to an incorrect bounds check. This could lead to local escalation of privilege with no additional execution privileges needed. User interaction is not needed for exploitation.
In createGeneralSlice of ConnectedDevicesSliceProvider.java.java, there is a possible permission bypass due to an unsafe PendingIntent. This could lead to local escalation of privilege with User execution privileges needed. User interaction is not needed for exploitation.Product: AndroidVersions: Android-12LAndroid ID: A-185247656
In createBluetoothDeviceSlice of ConnectedDevicesSliceProvider.java, there is a possible permission bypass due to an unsafe PendingIntent. This could lead to local escalation of privilege with no additional execution privileges needed. An issue was discovered in Acronis True Image 2020 24.5.22510. anti_ransomware_service.exe exposes a REST API that can be used by everyone, even unprivileged users. This API is used to communicate from the GUI to anti_ransomware_service.exe. This can be exploited to add an arbitrary malicious executable to the whitelist, or even exclude an entire drive from being monitored by anti_ransomware_service.exe.

Multiple i-フィルター products contain an issue with incorrect default permissions. If this vulnerability is exploited, a local authenticated attacker may replace a service executable on the system where the product is running, potentially allowing arbitrary code execution with SYSTEM privileges.
An issue in the installer of gvim 9.0.0000 allows authenticated attackers to execute arbitrary code via a binary hijacking attack on C:\Program.exe.
AsusSwitch.exe on ASUS personal computers (running Windows) sets weak file permissions, leading to local privilege escalation (this also can be used to delete files within the system arbitrarily). This affects ASUS System Control Interface 3 before 3.1.5.0, and AsusSwitch.exe before 1.0.10.0.

Ivanti Avalanche Incorrect Default Permissions allows Local Privilege Escalation Vulnerability
A vulnerability in Google Cloud Platform's guest-oslogin versions between 20190304 and 20200507 allows a user that is only granted the role "roles/compute.osLogin" to escalate privileges to root. Using their membership to the "adm" group, users with this role are able to read the DHCP XID from the systemd journal. Using the DHCP XID, it is then possible to set the IP address and hostname of the instance to any value, which is then stored in /etc/hosts. An attacker can then point metadata.google.internal to an arbitrary IP address and impersonate the GCE metadata server which make it is possible to instruct the OS Login PAM module to grant administrative privileges. All images created after 2020-May-07 (20200507) are fixed, and if you cannot update, we recommend you edit /etc/group/security.conf and remove the "adm" user from the OS Login entry.

A vulnerability in Google Cloud Platform's guest-oslogin versions between 20190304 and 20200507 allows a user that is only granted the role "roles/compute.osLogin" to escalate privileges to root. Using the membership to the "lxd" group, an attacker can attach host devices and filesystems. Within an lxc container, it is possible to attach the host OS filesystem and modify /etc/sudoers to then gain administrative privileges. All images created after 2020-May-07 (20200507) are fixed, and if you cannot update, we recommend you edit /etc/group/security.conf and remove the "lxd" user from the OS Login entry.
A permission issue affects users that deployed the shipped version of the Checkmk Debian package. Packages created by the agent bakery (enterprise editions only) were not affected. Using the shipped version of the agents, the maintainer scripts located at /var/lib/dpkg/info/ will be owned by the user and the group with ID 1001. If such a user exists on the system, they can change the content of these files (which are then executed by root). This leads to a local privilege escalation on the monitored host. Version 1.6 through 1.6.9p29, version 2.0 through 2.0.0p26, version 2.1 through 2.1.0p3, and version 2.2.0i1 are affected.
