Green CMS 2.x contains a path traversal vulnerability that allows authenticated attackers to download arbitrary files and directories by injecting directory traversal sequences. Attackers can manipulate the theme_name parameter in the themeexporthandle action or supply base64-encoded file paths to the downfile action to retrieve sensitive files outside intended directories.
The Jupiter X Core plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Directory Traversal in all versions up to, and including, 4.8.7 via the inline SVG feature. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with Contributor-level access and above, to read the contents of arbitrary files on the server, which can contain sensitive information.
Jmix is a set of libraries and tools to speed up Spring Boot data-centric application development. In versions 1.0.0 to 1.6.1 and 2.0.0 to 2.3.4, attackers could manipulate the FileRef parameter to access files on the system where the Jmix application is deployed, provided the application server has the necessary permissions. This can be accomplished either by modifying the FileRef directly in the database or by supplying a harmful value in the fileRef parameter of the `/files` endpoint of the generic REST API. This issue has been patched in versions 1.6.2 and 2.4.0. A workaround is provided on the Jmix documentation website.
The ‘document’ parameter of PDS Vista 7’s /application/documents/display.aspx page is vulnerable to a Local File Inclusion vulnerability which allows an low-privileged authenticated attacker to leak the configuration files and source code of the web application.
The Media Sync plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Path Traversal in all versions up to, and including, 1.4.9 via the 'sub_dir' and 'media_items' parameters. This is due to insufficient validation of user-supplied file paths, which are not checked for directory traversal sequences or restricted to the intended uploads directory. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with Author-level access and above, to perform actions on files outside of the originally intended directory.
The Hello World plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Arbitrary File Reading in all versions up to, and including, 2.1.1 via the hello_world_lyric() function. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with subscriber-level access and above, to read the contents of arbitrary files on the server, which can contain sensitive information.
VideoFlow Digital Video Protection DVP 2.10 contains an authenticated directory traversal vulnerability that allows attackers to access arbitrary system files through unvalidated 'ID' parameters. Attackers can exploit multiple Perl scripts like downloadsys.pl to read sensitive files by manipulating directory path traversal in download requests.
Directory traversal vulnerability in cgi-bin/cmh/get_file.sh in MiCasaVerde VeraLite with firmware 1.5.408 allows remote authenticated users to read arbirary files via a .. (dot dot) in the filename parameter.
Admidio is an open-source user management solution. Prior to version 5.0.9, the ecard_preview.php endpoint does not validate that the ecard_template POST parameter is a safe filename before passing it to ECard::getEcardTemplate(). An authenticated user can supply a path traversal payload (e.g., ../config.php) to read arbitrary files accessible to the web server process, including adm_my_files/config.php which contains database credentials. This issue has been patched in version 5.0.9.
OpenClaw before 2026.4.8 contains a filesystem policy bypass vulnerability in docx upload processing that allows local file reads outside workspace boundaries. Attackers can exploit upload_file and upload_image endpoints to access files beyond the intended workspace-only filesystem policy.
OpenClaw versions prior to 2026.2.24 contain an improper path validation vulnerability in sandbox media handling that allows absolute paths under the host temporary directory outside the active sandbox root. Attackers can exploit this by providing malicious media references to read and exfiltrate arbitrary files from the host temporary directory through attachment delivery mechanisms.
Flare is a Next.js-based, self-hostable file sharing platform that integrates with screenshot tools. Prior to 1.7.3, an authenticated path traversal vulnerability in /api/avatars/[filename] allows any logged-in user to read arbitrary files from within the application container. The filename URL parameter is passed to path.join() without sanitization, and getFileStream() performs no path validation, enabling %2F-encoded ../ sequences to escape the uploads/avatars/ directory and read any file accessible to the nextjs process under /app/. Authentication is enforced by Next.js middleware. However, on instances with open registration enabled (the default), any attacker can self-register and immediately exploit this. This vulnerability is fixed in 1.7.3.
IBM InfoSphere BigInsights before 2.1.0.3 allows remote authenticated users to bypass intended file and directory restrictions, or access untrusted data or code, via crafted parameters in unspecified API calls.
Improper Limitation of a Pathname to a Restricted Directory ('Path Traversal') vulnerability in publitio Publitio publitio allows Path Traversal. This issue affects Publitio: from n/a through <= 2.2.0.
WWBN AVideo is an open source video platform. In versions 29.0 and below, the directory traversal fix introduced in commit 2375eb5e0 for `objects/aVideoEncoderReceiveImage.json.php` only checks the URL path component (via `parse_url($url, PHP_URL_PATH)`) for `..` sequences. However, the downstream function `try_get_contents_from_local()` in `objects/functionsFile.php` uses `explode('/videos/', $url)` on the **full URL string** including the query string. An attacker can place the `/videos/../../` traversal payload in the query string to bypass the security check and read arbitrary files from the server filesystem. Commit bd11c16ec894698e54e2cdae25026c61ad1ed441 contains an updated fix.
A path injection vulnerability exists in OpenPLC v3 (2c82b0e79c53f8c1f1458eee15fec173400d6e1a) as the binary program compiled from glue_generator.cpp does not perform any validation on the file path parameters passed via the command line. The user-controlled input parameters are directly passed to the underlying file operation functions (fopen/ifstream/ofstream) for file reading and writing. An attacker can exploit this vulnerability by constructing a malicious path to read arbitrary readable files.
Zohocorp ManageEngine Analytics Plus versions before 5410 and Zoho Analytics On-Premise versions before 5410 are vulnerable to Path traversal.
OpenClaw versions 2026.2.6 through 2026.3.24 contain a path traversal vulnerability in the Feishu extension resolveUploadInput function that bypasses file-system sandbox restrictions. Attackers can exploit improper path resolution during upload_image operations to read arbitrary files outside configured localRoots boundaries.
motionEye (mEye) is an online interface for motion software, which is a video surveillance program with motion detection. Versions prior to 0.44.0 are vulnerable to path traversal in the picture and movie API endpoints, suhc as /picture/{id}/preview/{filename}. Neither the API handlers, nor the mediafiles.py functions such as get_media_preview() check for .. sequences in the filename parameter, except for get_media_content(). This allows an authenticated user with normal (non-admin) privileges to read arbitrary files from the filesystem as the motionEye process user, such as: /etc/passwd, /etc/shadow, motionEye config files containing password hashes and plaintext passwords, SSH keys, and other cameras' surveillance footage. This issue has been fixed in version 0.44.0.
Orca HCM from LEARNING DIGITA does not properly restrict a specific parameter of the file download functionality, allowing a remote attacker with regular privileges to download arbitrary system files.
IBM Langflow Desktop <=1.8.4 Langflow could allow a remote attacker to traverse directories on the system. An attacker could send a specially crafted URL request containing "dot dot" sequences (/../) to view arbitrary files on the system.
OpenClaw before 2026.3.24 contains a sandbox bypass vulnerability in the message tool that allows attackers to read arbitrary local files by using mediaUrl and fileUrl alias parameters that bypass localRoots validation. Remote attackers can exploit this by routing file requests through unvalidated alias parameters to access files outside the intended sandbox directory.
A Directory Traversal vulnerability exists in Vivotek PT7135 IP Cameras 0300a and 0400a via a specially crafted GET request, which could let a malicious user obtain user credentials.
OpenClaw before 2026.3.31 contains a path traversal vulnerability in ACP dispatch that allows attackers to read arbitrary files by manipulating inbound channel attachment paths. Remote attackers can bypass attachment-cache and root directory checks to access files outside intended directories.
SciTokens is a reference library for generating and using SciTokens. Prior to version 1.9.7, the Enforcer is vulnerable to a path traversal attack where an attacker can use dot-dot (..) in the scope claim of a token to escape the intended directory restriction. This occurs because the library normalizes both the authorized path (from the token) and the requested path (from the application) before comparing them using startswith. This issue has been patched in version 1.9.7.
A vulnerability was identified in Chengdu Everbrite Network Technology BeikeShop up to 1.5.5. This vulnerability affects the function exportZip of the file /admin/file_manager/export. Such manipulation of the argument path leads to path traversal. The attack can be launched remotely. The exploit is publicly available and might be used. Upgrading to version 1.6.0 is able to resolve this issue. It is suggested to upgrade the affected component.
The AWS SDK for Java enables Java developers to work with Amazon Web Services. A partial-path traversal issue exists within the `downloadDirectory` method in the AWS S3 TransferManager component of the AWS SDK for Java v1 prior to version 1.12.261. Applications using the SDK control the `destinationDirectory` argument, but S3 object keys are determined by the application that uploaded the objects. The `downloadDirectory` method allows the caller to pass a filesystem object in the object key but contained an issue in the validation logic for the key name. A knowledgeable actor could bypass the validation logic by including a UNIX double-dot in the bucket key. Under certain conditions, this could permit them to retrieve a directory from their S3 bucket that is one level up in the filesystem from their working directory. This issue’s scope is limited to directories whose name prefix matches the destinationDirectory. E.g. for destination directory`/tmp/foo`, the actor can cause a download to `/tmp/foo-bar`, but not `/tmp/bar`. If `com.amazonaws.services.s3.transfer.TransferManager::downloadDirectory` is used to download an untrusted buckets contents, the contents of that bucket can be written outside of the intended destination directory. Version 1.12.261 contains a patch for this issue. As a workaround, when calling `com.amazonaws.services.s3.transfer.TransferManager::downloadDirectory`, pass a `KeyFilter` that forbids `S3ObjectSummary` objects that `getKey` method return a string containing the substring `..` .
Improper Limitation of a Pathname to a Restricted Directory ('Path Traversal') vulnerability in Mamunur Rashid Classified Listing allows Path Traversal. This issue affects Classified Listing: from n/a through 5.3.8.
Improper Limitation of a Pathname to a Restricted Directory ('Path Traversal') vulnerability in Secomea GateManager (Web GUI) allows Reading Data from System Resources. This issue affects GateManager: from 11.0.623074018 before 11.0.623373051.
OpenClaw versions prior to 2026.2.24 contain a local media root bypass vulnerability in sendAttachment and setGroupIcon message actions when sandboxRoot is unset. Attackers can hydrate media from local absolute paths to read arbitrary host files accessible by the runtime user.
A vulnerability in the web-based management interface of Cisco Prime Infrastructure and Cisco Evolved Programmable Network (EPN) Manager software could allow an authenticated, remote attacker to download and view files within the application that should be restricted. This vulnerability is due to improper sanitization of user-supplied input in HTTP request parameters that describe filenames. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability by using directory traversal techniques to submit a path to a desired file location. A successful exploit could allow the attacker to view application files that may contain sensitive information.
Improper Limitation of a Pathname to a Restricted Directory ('Path Traversal') vulnerability in tstafford include-file include-file allows Path Traversal. This issue affects include-file: from n/a through <= 1.
Beszel is a server monitoring platform. Prior to version 0.18.2, the hub's authenticated API endpoints GET /api/beszel/containers/logs and GET /api/beszel/containers/info pass the user-supplied "container" query parameter to the agent without validation. The agent constructs Docker Engine API URLs using fmt.Sprintf with the raw value instead of url.PathEscape(). Since Go's http.Client does not sanitize `../` sequences from URL paths sent over unix sockets, an authenticated user (including readonly role) can traverse to arbitrary Docker API endpoints on agent hosts, exposing sensitive infrastructure details. Version 0.18.4 fixes the issue.
A path traversal via the iniFile parameter in excel.php in Blaauw Remote Kiln Control through v3.00r4 allows an authenticated attacker to download arbitrary files from the host machine.
Cacti is an open source performance and fault management framework. Versions 1.2.30 and prior are vulnerable to Path Traversal through the Report format_file Parameter, causing arbitrary file read. This vulnerability occurs in two stages. In the first stage (stored injection), lib/html_reports.php at line 283 stores $save['format_file'] = $post['format_file'] directly into the database without any validation. In the second stage (file read), lib/reports.php at line 667 concatenates CACTI_PATH_FORMATS . '/' . $format_file, and line 670 then calls file($format_file), reading arbitrary files from the filesystem. This issue has been fixed in version 1.2.31.
admincgi-bin/service.fcgi on Fronius Solar Inverter devices before 3.14.1 (HM 1.12.1) allows action=download&filename= Directory Traversal.
Local File Inclusion in minPlayCommand.php in Centreon (19.04.4 and below) allows an attacker to traverse paths via a plugin test.
A vulnerability was found in CoCoTeaNet CyreneAdmin up to 1.3.0. This affects an unknown part of the file /api/system/user/getAvatar of the component Image Handler. Performing a manipulation of the argument Avatar results in path traversal. The attack can be initiated remotely. The exploit has been made public and could be used.
OpenClaw is a personal AI assistant. Prior to version 2026.2.14, authenticated attackers can read arbitrary files from the Gateway host by supplying absolute paths or path traversal sequences to the browser tool's `upload` action. The server passed these paths to Playwright's `setInputFiles()` APIs without restricting them to a safe root. An attacker must reach the Gateway HTTP surface (or otherwise invoke the same browser control hook endpoints); present valid Gateway auth (bearer token / password), as required by the Gateway configuration (In common default setups, the Gateway binds to loopback and the onboarding wizard generates a gateway token even for loopback); and have the `browser` tool permitted by tool policy for the target session/context (and have browser support enabled). If an operator exposes the Gateway beyond loopback (LAN/tailnet/custom bind, reverse proxy, tunnels, etc.), the impact increases accordingly. Starting in version 2026.2.14, the upload paths are now confined to OpenClaw's temp uploads root (`DEFAULT_UPLOAD_DIR`) and traversal/escape paths are rejected.
LORIS (Longitudinal Online Research and Imaging System) is a self-hosted web application that provides data- and project-management for neuroimaging research. Starting in version 24.0.0 and prior to versions 26.0.5, 27.0.2, and 28.0.0, an authenticated user with the appropriate authorization can read configuration files on the server by exploiting a path traversal vulnerability. Some of these files contain hard-coded credentials. The vulnerability allows an attacker to read configuration files containing hard-coded credentials. The attacker could then authenticate to the database or other services if those credentials are reused. The attacker must be authenticated and have the required permissions. However, the vulnerability is easy to exploit and the application source code is public. This problem is fixed in LORIS v26.0.5 and v27.0.2 and above, and v28.0.0 and above. As a workaround, the electrophysiogy_browser in LORIS can be disabled by an administrator using the module manager.
Sliver is a command and control framework that uses a custom Wireguard netstack. Prior to 1.6.11, a path traversal in the website content subsystem lets an authenticated operator read arbitrary files on the Sliver server host. This is an authenticated path traversal / arbitrary file read issue, and it can expose credentials, configs, and keys. This vulnerability is fixed in 1.6.11.
OpenClaw is a personal AI assistant. Prior to version 2026.1.30, the isValidMedia() function in src/media/parse.ts allows arbitrary file paths including absolute paths, home directory paths, and directory traversal sequences. An agent can read any file on the system by outputting MEDIA:/path/to/file, exfiltrating sensitive data to the user/channel. This issue has been patched in version 2026.1.30.
OpenEMR is a free and open source electronic health records and medical practice management application. Prior to version 7.0.4, the `disposeDocument()` method in `EtherFaxActions.php` allows authenticated users to read arbitrary files from the server filesystem. Any authenticated user (regardless of privilege level) can exploit this vulnerability to read sensitive files. Version 7.0.4 patches the issue.
A path traversal vulnerability has been reported to affect Qsync Central. If a remote attacker gains a user account, they can then exploit the vulnerability to read the contents of unexpected files or system data. We have already fixed the vulnerability in the following version: Qsync Central 5.0.0.1 ( 2025/07/09 ) and later
IBM Security Verify Governance, Identity Manager 10.0 could allow a remote attacker to traverse directories on the system. An attacker could send a specially crafted URL request containing "dot dot" sequences (/../) to view arbitrary files on the system. IBM X-Force ID: 257772.
Improper Limitation of a Pathname to a Restricted Directory ('Path Traversal') vulnerability in Mitchell Bennis Simple File List simple-file-list allows Path Traversal. This issue affects Simple File List: from n/a through <= 6.1.15.
Path Traversal issue in M-Files Classic Web versions below 23.6.12695.3 and LTS Service Release Versions before 23.2 LTS SR3 allows authenticated user to read some restricted files on the web server
OpenEMR is a free and open source electronic health records and medical practice management application. In versions up to and including 8.0.0, an arbitrary file exfiltration vulnerability in the fax sending endpoint allows any authenticated user to read and transmit any file on the server (including database credentials, patient documents, system files, and source code) via fax to an attacker-controlled phone number. The vulnerability exists because the endpoint accepts arbitrary file paths from user input and streams them to the fax gateway without path restrictions or authorization checks. As of time of publication, no known patched versions are available.
SiYuan is a personal knowledge management system. Versions prior to 3.5.4 contain a logic vulnerability in the /api/file/globalCopyFiles endpoint. The function allows authenticated users to copy files from any location on the server's filesystem into the application's workspace without proper path validation. The vulnerability exists in the api/file.go source code. The function globalCopyFiles accepts a list of source paths (srcs) from the JSON request body. While the code checks if the source file exists using filelock.IsExist(src), it fails to validate whether the source path resides within the authorized workspace directory. Version 3.5.4 patches the issue.
