Apache Superset contains an improper access control vulnerability in its /explore endpoint. A missing authorization check allows an authenticated user to discover metadata about datasources they do not have permission to access. By iterating through the datasource_id in the URL, an attacker can enumerate and confirm the existence and names of protected datasources, leading to sensitive information disclosure. This issue affects Apache Superset: before 5.0.0. Users are recommended to upgrade to version 5.0.0, which fixes the issue.
Improper Authorization vulnerability in Apache ActiveMQ Broker, Apache ActiveMQ All, Apache ActiveMQ. An authenticated low-privilege user can bypass a per-destination write ACL by sending to an ActiveMQ temporary composite destination whose physical name is a comma-separated composite of real queues. This allows publishing messages to any of the destinations in the list without proper write ACL permissions because the authorization check is bypassed due to the composite destination being marked as temporary. This issue affects Apache ActiveMQ Broker: before 5.19.9, from 6.0.0 before 6.2.8; Apache ActiveMQ All: before 5.19.9, from 6.0.0 before 6.2.8; Apache ActiveMQ: before 5.19.9, from 6.0.0 before 6.2.8. Users are recommended to upgrade to version 5.19.9, 6.2.8 or 6.3.0, which fixes the issue.
Improper Authorization vulnerability in Apache Tomcat leads to security constraints specified for the default servlet ignoring any method or method omission configured as part of the constraint. This issue affects Apache Tomcat: from 11.0.0-M1 through 11.0.22, from 10.1.0-M1 through 10.1.55, from 9.0.0.M1 through 9.0.118, from 8.5.0 through 8.5.100, from 7.0.0 through 7.0.109. Other versions that have reached end of support may also be affected. Users are recommended to upgrade to version 11.0.23, 10.1.56 or 9.0.119, which fix the issue.
Improper Authorization vulnerability in Apache ActiveMQ. An authenticated low-privilege Web Console user by default can access /admin/* paths in the Web Console. The default Jetty settings incorrectly did not limit those paths to only admins. This issue affects Apache ActiveMQ: before 5.19.8, from 6.0.0 before 6.2.7. Users are recommended to upgrade to version 6.2.7 or 5.19.8, which fixes the issue.
A privilege escalation vulnerability in Apache OFBiz allows a low-privileged authenticated user to obtain higher privileges This issue affects Apache OFBiz: before 24.09.07. Users are recommended to upgrade to version 24.09.07, which fixes the issue.
Incomplete authorization by Apache ActiveMQ server before versions v6.2.6 and v5.19.7 allows authenticated connections to remove existing destinations with proper permissions. This issue affects Apache ActiveMQ Broker: before 5.19.7, from 6.0.0 before 6.2.6; Apache ActiveMQ All: before 5.19.7, from 6.0.0 before 6.2.6; Apache ActiveMQ: before 5.19.7, from 6.0.0 before 6.2.6. Users are recommended to upgrade to version v6.2.6 or v5.19.7, which fixes the issue.
Improper Authorization vulnerability in Apache OFBiz Webtools. This issue affects Apache OFBiz: before 24.09.06. Users are recommended to upgrade to version 24.09.06, which fixes the issue.
Improper Authorization vulnerability when multiple method constraints define an HTTP method for the same extension in Apache Tomcat. This issue affects Apache Tomcat: from 11.0.0-M1 through 11.0.21, from 10.1.0-M1 through 10.1.54, from 9.0.0.M1 through 9.0.117, from 8.5.0 through 8.5.100, from 7.0.0 through 7.0.109. Users are recommended to upgrade to version 11.0.22, 10.1.55 or 9.0.118 which fix the issue.
The S3 buckets and keys in a secure Apache Ozone Cluster must be inaccessible to anonymous access by default. The current security vulnerability allows access to keys and buckets through a curl command or an unauthenticated HTTP request. This enables unauthorized access to buckets and keys thereby exposing data to anonymous clients or users. This affected Apache Ozone prior to the 1.1.0 release.
The structure_data endpoint in the Airflow UI returned external dependency graph nodes for linked Dags without checking whether the caller had read permission on those linked Dags. An authenticated UI/API user authorized for one Dag could enumerate linked Dag IDs and dependency metadata for other Dags they were not authorized to read. Affects deployments that rely on per-Dag read scoping to keep Dag dependency topology private across teams. Users are advised to upgrade to `apache-airflow` 3.2.2 or later.
An improper authorization vulnerability has been identified in Apache Kafka. The implementation of the CONSUMER_GROUP_DESCRIBE (69) API validates the DESCRIBE operation on the GROUP resource instead of the READ operation that documented in the official kafka documentation and the KIP-848. This discrepancy can result in misconfigured Access Control Lists (ACLs) and unintended security postures, like granting READ permission to users who should not be able to join/sync groups, or allowing users without READ permission (but with DESCRIBE permission) to access sensitive group metadata. The correct permission for CONSUMER_GROUP_DESCRIBE API is DESCRIBE GROUP so the current implementation is correct. However, the kafka documentation as well as the KIP-848 will be updated to reflect the correct permission. We advise the Kafka users to review existing group ACLs to ensure the principle of least privilege.
An SQL injection vulnerability in Traffic Ops in Apache Traffic Control <= 8.0.1, >= 8.0.0 allows a privileged user with role "admin", "federation", "operations", "portal", or "steering" to execute arbitrary SQL against the database by sending a specially-crafted PUT request. Users are recommended to upgrade to version Apache Traffic Control 8.0.2 if you run an affected version of Traffic Ops.
Apache ActiveMQ Artemis allows access to diagnostic information and controls through MBeans, which are also exposed through the authenticated Jolokia endpoint. Before version 2.29.0, this also included the Log4J2 MBean. This MBean is not meant for exposure to non-administrative users. This could eventually allow an authenticated attacker to write arbitrary files to the filesystem and indirectly achieve RCE. Users are recommended to upgrade to version 2.29.0 or later, which fixes the issue.
Deployments of Apache Solr 5.3.0 through 9.10.0 that rely on Solr's "Rule Based Authorization Plugin" are vulnerable to allowing unauthorized access to certain Solr APIs, due to insufficiently strict input validation in those components. Only deployments that meet all of the following criteria are impacted by this vulnerability: * Use of Solr's "RuleBasedAuthorizationPlugin" * A RuleBasedAuthorizationPlugin config (see security.json) that specifies multiple "roles" * A RuleBasedAuthorizationPlugin permission list (see security.json) that uses one or more of the following pre-defined permission rules: "config-read", "config-edit", "schema-read", "metrics-read", or "security-read". * A RuleBasedAuthorizationPlugin permission list that doesn't define the "all" pre-defined permission * A networking setup that allows clients to make unfiltered network requests to Solr. (i.e. user-submitted HTTP/HTTPS requests reach Solr as-is, unmodified or restricted by any intervening proxy or gateway) Users can mitigate this vulnerability by ensuring that their RuleBasedAuthorizationPlugin configuration specifies the "all" pre-defined permission and associates the permission with an "admin" or other privileged role. Users can also upgrade to a Solr version outside of the impacted range, such as the recently released Solr 9.10.1.
SurrealDB before 3.1.0 contains an authorization bypass vulnerability in the RELATE statement that allows authenticated users with CREATE permission to overwrite existing edge records without UPDATE permission. Attackers can issue a RELATE statement with a SET id clause pointing to an existing edge id, causing the storage layer to silently overwrite the target record instead of rejecting the operation.
