Multiple vulnerabilities in the REST API of Cisco UCS Director and Cisco UCS Director Express for Big Data may allow a remote attacker to bypass authentication or conduct directory traversal attacks on an affected device. For more information about these vulnerabilities, see the Details section of this advisory.
A vulnerability in the web management interface of Cisco SD-WAN vManage Software could allow an authenticated, remote attacker to conduct directory traversal attacks and obtain read and write access to sensitive files on a targeted system. The vulnerability is due to a lack of proper validation of files that are uploaded to an affected device. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability by uploading a crafted file to an affected system. An exploit could allow the attacker to view or modify arbitrary files on the targeted system.
Printer service fails to adequately handle user input, allowing an remote unauthorized users to navigate beyond the intended directory structure and create files. Affected products and versions include: ADM 4.0.6.RIS1, 4.1.0 and below as well as ADM 4.2.2.RI61 and below.
NVIDIA Triton Inference Server for Linux and Windows contains a vulnerability where, when it is launched with the non-default command line option --model-control explicit, an attacker may use the model load API to cause a relative path traversal. A successful exploit of this vulnerability may lead to code execution, denial of service, escalation of privileges, information disclosure, and data tampering.
setuptools is a package that allows users to download, build, install, upgrade, and uninstall Python packages. A path traversal vulnerability in `PackageIndex` is present in setuptools prior to version 78.1.1. An attacker would be allowed to write files to arbitrary locations on the filesystem with the permissions of the process running the Python code, which could escalate to remote code execution depending on the context. Version 78.1.1 fixes the issue.
Jenkins External Workspace Manager Plugin 1.3.2 and earlier does not reject path traversal sequences in the custom workspace path provided to the exwsAllocate Pipeline step, allowing attackers with Item/Configure permission to read arbitrary files on the Jenkins controller file system, which can lead to remote code execution.
HP System Event Utility and Omen Gaming Hub might allow execution of certain files outside of their restricted paths. This potential vulnerability was remediated with HP System Event Utility version 3.2.12 and Omen Gaming Hub version 1101.2511.101.0.
admin/file.do in ObjectPlanet Opinio before 7.15 allows Unrestricted File Upload of executable JSP files, resulting in remote code execution, because filePath can have directory traversal and fileContent can be valid JSP code.
A relative path traversal attack in the B. Braun Melsungen AG SpaceCom Version L81/U61 and earlier, and the Data module compactplus Versions A10 and A11 allows attackers with service user privileges to upload arbitrary files. By uploading a specially crafted tar file an attacker can execute arbitrary commands.
An issue was discovered in Observium Professional, Enterprise & Community 20.8.10631. It is vulnerable to directory traversal and local file inclusion due to the fact that there is an unrestricted possibility of loading any file with an inc.php extension. Inclusion of other files (even though limited to the mentioned extension) can lead to Remote Code Execution. This can occur via /device/device=345/?tab=ports&view=../ URIs because of device/port.inc.php.

This can occur via /device/device=345/?tab=health&metric=../ because of device/health.inc.php.
An issue was discovered in SolarWinds N-Central 12.3.0.670. The AdvancedScripts HTTP endpoint allows Relative Path Traversal by an authenticated user of the N-Central Administration Console (NAC), leading to execution of OS commands as root.
This can occur via /settings/?format=../ URIs to pages/settings.inc.php.
The upload endpoint insufficiently validates the 'Upload-Key' request header. By supplying path traversal sequences, an authenticated attacker can cause the server to create upload-related artifacts outside the intended storage location. In certain configurations this enables arbitrary file write and may be leveraged to achieve remote code execution.
A low-privileged remote attacker can abuse the backup restore functionality of UBR (ubr-restore) which runs with elevated privileges and does not validate the contents of the backup archive to create or overwrite arbitrary files anywhere on the system.
A low privileged remote attacker can upload a new or overwrite an existing python script by using a path traversal of the target filename in php resulting in a remote code execution.
A remote code execution (RCE) vulnerability was discovered in the htmlformentry (aka HTML Form Entry) module before 3.11.0 for OpenMRS. By leveraging path traversal, a malicious Velocity Template Language file could be written to a directory. This file could then be accessed and executed.
Bludit 3.9.2 allows remote code execution via bl-kernel/ajax/upload-images.php because PHP code can be entered with a .jpg file name, and then this PHP code can write other PHP code to a ../ pathname.
This vulnerability allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code on affected installations of Marvell QConvergeConsole 5.5.0.64. Although authentication is required to exploit this vulnerability, the existing authentication mechanism can be bypassed. The specific flaw exists within the decryptFile method of the GWTTestServiceImpl class. The issue results from the lack of proper validation of a user-supplied path prior to using it in file operations. An attacker can leverage this vulnerability to execute code in the context of SYSTEM. Was ZDI-CAN-10502.
The 'POST /api/v2/files' endpoint does not sanitize the 'filename' parameter from the multipart form data, allowing an attacker to write files to arbitrary locations on the filesystem using path traversal sequences ('../').
Laravel-Mediable before 7.0.0 contains a path traversal vulnerability in the File::sanitizePath() function that allows attackers to write uploaded files to arbitrary locations by controlling the directory argument passed to MediaUploader::toDestination(). Attackers can exploit the permissive character-class regex that allows both dot and slash characters combined with an ineffective trailing trim() call to bypass sanitization and upload files to sensitive locations such as the document root, environment configuration files, or application configuration directories, enabling remote code execution.
Jellyfin is an open source self hosted media server. From 10.9.0 until 10.11.10, the POST /ClientLog/Document endpoint accepts the Authorization header's Client and Version fields and uses them unsanitized as components of the on-disk filename when persisting client-uploaded log documents. As a result, any authenticated non-admin user can include ../ sequences in the Client field to cause Jellyfin to write attacker-controlled content to arbitrary paths reachable by the Jellyfin service user, with a forced .log suffix. This vulnerability is fixed in 10.11.10.
OpenClinic GA 5.09.02 and 5.89.05b includes arbitrary local files specified within its parameter and executes some files, which may allow disclosure of sensitive files or the execution of malicious uploaded files.
The WP Job Portal plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to arbitrary file deletion due to insufficient file path validation in the 'WPJOBPORTALcustomfields::removeFileCustom' function in all versions up to, and including, 2.4.9. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with Subscriber-level access and above, to delete arbitrary files on the server, which can easily lead to remote code execution when the right file is deleted (such as wp-config.php).
The School Management System for Wordpress plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Local File Inclusion in all versions up to, and including, 93.1.0 via the 'page' parameter. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with Subscriber-level access and above, to include and execute arbitrary files on the server, allowing the execution of any PHP code in those files. This can be used to bypass access controls, obtain sensitive data, or achieve code execution in cases where images and other “safe” file types can be uploaded and included. The Local File Inclusion exploit can be chained to include various dashboard view files in the plugin. One such chain can be leveraged to update the password of Super Administrator accounts in Multisite environments making privilege escalation possible. The vendor has updated the version numbers beginning with `1.93.1 (02-07-2025)` for the patched version. This version comes after version 93.1.0.
TeamPass 2.1.27.36 allows any authenticated TeamPass user to trigger a PHP file include vulnerability via a crafted HTTP request with sources/users.queries.php newValue directory traversal.
In Silver Peak Unity Orchestrator versions prior to 8.9.11+, 8.10.11+, or 9.0.1+, an authenticated user can make unauthorized MySQL queries against the Orchestrator database using the /sqlExecution REST API, which had been used for internal testing.
Slack Nebula through 1.1.0 contains a relative path vulnerability that allows a low-privileged attacker to execute code in the context of the root user via tun_darwin.go or tun_windows.go. A user can also use Nebula to execute arbitrary code in the user's own context, e.g., for user-level persistence or to bypass security controls. NOTE: the vendor states that this "requires a high degree of access and other preconditions that are tough to achieve."
LibreHealth EMR v2.0.0 is affected by a Local File Inclusion issue allowing arbitrary PHP to be included and executed within the EMR application.
Incomplete input validation and improperly configured folder permissions within Idira Privileged Session Manager (PSM) versions prior to 15.0.3, 14.6.3, 14.2.5, and 14.0.5, an authenticated, low-privileged user could potentially execute arbitrary code. CyberArk Security Bulletin: CA26-17 and CA26-18
Allegra isZipEntryValide Directory Traversal Remote Code Execution Vulnerability. This vulnerability allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code on affected installations of Allegra. Authentication is required to exploit this vulnerability. The specific flaw exists within the implementation of the isZipEntryValide method. The issue results from the lack of proper validation of a user-supplied path prior to using it in file operations. An attacker can leverage this vulnerability to execute code in the context of LOCAL SERVICE. Was ZDI-CAN-25730.
Remote code execution was discovered in Horde Groupware Webmail 5.2.22 and 5.2.17. Horde/Form/Type.php contains a vulnerable class that handles image upload in forms. When the Horde_Form_Type_image method onSubmit() is called on uploads, it invokes the functions getImage() and _getUpload(), which uses unsanitized user input as a path to save the image. The unsanitized POST parameter object[photo][img][file] is saved in the $upload[img][file] PHP variable, allowing an attacker to manipulate the $tmp_file passed to move_uploaded_file() to save the uploaded file. By setting the parameter to (for example) ../usr/share/horde/static/bd.php, one can write a PHP backdoor inside the web root. The static/ destination folder is a good candidate to drop the backdoor because it is always writable in Horde installations. (The unsanitized POST parameter went probably unnoticed because it's never submitted by the forms, which default to securely using a random path.)
Newforma Info Exchange (NIX) '/UserWeb/Common/UploadBlueimp.ashx' allows an authenticated attacker to upload an arbitrary file to any location writable by the NIX application. An attacker can upload and run a web shell or other content executable by the web server. An attacker can also delete directories. In Newforma before 2023.1, anonymous access is enabled by default (CVE-2025-35062), allowing an otherwise unauthenticated attacker to effectively authenticate as 'anonymous' and exploit this file upload vulnerability.
A low-privileged remote attacker can exploit an arbitrary file write vulnerability in the wwupload.cgi endpoint. Due to path traversal this can lead to overwriting arbitrary files on the device and achieving a full system compromise.
AzuraCast is a self-hosted, all-in-one web radio management suite. Prior to version 0.23.6, the currentDirectory request parameter in the Flow.js media upload endpoint (POST /api/station/{station_id}/files/upload) is not sanitized for path traversal sequences. When combined with a local filesystem storage backend (the default), an authenticated user with media management permissions can write arbitrary files outside the station's media storage directory, achieving remote code execution by writing a PHP webshell to the web root. This issue has been patched in version 0.23.6.
Directory Traversal vulnerability in McAfee Enterprise Security Manager (ESM) prior to 11.2.0 and prior to 10.4.0 allows authenticated user to gain elevated privileges via specially crafted input.
Jenkins 2.554 and earlier, LTS 2.541.2 and earlier does not safely handle symbolic links during the extraction of .tar and .tar.gz archives, allowing crafted archives to write files to arbitrary locations on the filesystem, restricted only by file system access permissions of the user running Jenkins. This can be exploited to deploy malicious scripts or plugins on the controller by attackers with Item/Configure permission, or able to control agent processes.
A vulnerability, which was classified as critical, was found in SourceCodester Simple Forum-Discussion System 1.0. Affected is an unknown function of the file /index.php. The manipulation of the argument page leads to path traversal. It is possible to launch the attack remotely. The exploit has been disclosed to the public and may be used.
A vulnerability in SMA100 allows a remote authenticated attacker with SSLVPN user privileges can inject a path traversal sequence to make any directory on the SMA appliance writable.
Indico is an event management system that uses Flask-Multipass, a multi-backend authentication system for Flask. In versions prior to 3.3.12, due to vulnerabilities in TeXLive and obscure LaTeX syntax that allowed circumventing Indico's LaTeX sanitizer, it is possible to use specially-crafted LaTeX snippets which can read local files or execute code with the privileges of the user running Indico on the server. Note that if server-side LaTeX rendering is not in use (ie `XELATEX_PATH` was not set in `indico.conf`), this vulnerability does not apply. It is recommended to update to Indico 3.3.12 as soon as possible. It is also strongly recommended to enable the containerized LaTeX renderer (using `podman`), which isolates it from the rest of the system. As a workaround, remove the `XELATEX_PATH` setting from `indico.conf` (or comment it out or set it to `None`) and restart the `indico-uwsgi` and `indico-celery` services to disable LaTeX functionality.
Beward N100 H.264 VGA IP Camera M2.1.6 contains an authenticated file disclosure vulnerability that allows attackers to read arbitrary system files via the 'READ.filePath' parameter. Attackers can exploit the fileread script or SendCGICMD API to access sensitive files like /etc/passwd and /etc/issue by supplying absolute file paths.
An issue was discovered on certain ABUS TVIP devices. Due to a path traversal in /opt/cgi/admin/filewrite, an attacker can write to files, and thus execute code arbitrarily with root privileges.
SillyTavern is a locally installed user interface that allows users to interact with text generation large language models, image generation engines, and text-to-speech voice models. Prior to version 1.17.0, a path traversal vulnerability in chat endpoints allows an authenticated attacker to read and delete arbitrary files under their user data root (for example secrets.json and settings.json) by supplying avatar_url="..". This issue has been patched in version 1.17.0.
OpenClaw versions prior to 2026.2.14 contain a path traversal vulnerability in apply_patch that allows attackers to write or delete files outside the configured workspace directory. When apply_patch is enabled without filesystem sandbox containment, attackers can exploit crafted paths including directory traversal sequences or absolute paths to escape workspace boundaries and modify arbitrary files.
The ugw-logread method allows a remote attacker with user privileges to access arbitrary local files due to insufficient validation of user-supplied input.
Tina is a headless content management system. Prior to version 2.2.2, @tinacms/graphql uses string-based path containment checks in FilesystemBridge. That blocks plain ../ traversal, but it does not resolve symlink or junction targets. If a symlink/junction already exists under the allowed content root, a path like content/posts/pivot/owned.md is still considered "inside" the base even though the real filesystem target can be outside it. As a result, FilesystemBridge.get(), put(), delete(), and glob() can operate on files outside the intended root. This issue has been patched in version 2.2.2.
Coolify is an open-source and self-hostable tool for managing servers, applications, and databases. Prior to 4.0.0-beta.474, PostgreSQL initialization script (generate_init_scripts() method in app/Actions/Database/StartPostgresql.php) filename handling did not sufficiently restrict paths, allowing an authenticated user to write files outside the intended directory and achieve command execution through database initialization. This issue is fixed in version 4.0.0-beta.474.
ProjeQtor versions 7.0 through 12.4.3 contain a ZipSlip path traversal vulnerability in the plugin upload functionality that allows authenticated attackers with upload permissions to write files outside the intended extraction directory by crafting ZIP archives with directory traversal sequences. Attackers can exploit unvalidated archive extraction to write a PHP webshell to a web-accessible directory and achieve remote code execution with the privileges of the web server process.
