OpenEMR's location resource for Group.$export operation returns entire patient/user population contact information

OpenEMR is a free and open source electronic health records and medical practice management application. Versions prior to 8.0.0 have an information disclosure vulnerability that leaks the entire contact information for all users, organizations, and patients in the system to anyone who has the system/(Group,Patient,*).$export operation and system/Location.read capabilities. This vulnerability will impact OpenEMR versions since 2023. This disclosure will only occur in extremely high trust environments as it requires using a confidential client with secure key exchange that requires an administrator to enable and grant permission before the app can even be used. This will typically only occur in server-server communication across trusted clients that already have established legal agreements. Version 8.0.0 contains a patch. As a workaround, disable clients that have the vulnerable scopes and only allow clients that do not have the system/Location.read scope until a fix has been deployed.

OpenEMR has FHIR Patient Compartment Bypass in CareTeam Resource

OpenEMR is a free and open source electronic health records and medical practice management application. Prior to version 8.0.0, an authorization bypass vulnerability in the FHIR CareTeam resource endpoint allows patient-scoped FHIR tokens to access care team data for all patients instead of being restricted to only the authenticated patient's data. This could potentially lead to unauthorized disclosure of Protected Health Information (PHI), including patient-provider relationships and care team structures across the entire system. The issue occurs because the `FhirCareTeamService` does not implement the `IPatientCompartmentResourceService` interface and does not pass the patient binding parameter to the underlying service, bypassing the patient compartment filtering mechanism. Version 8.0.0 contains a patch for this issue.

OpenEMR may expose Contents of Clinical Notes and Care Planto users who do not have Sensitivities=high privilege

OpenEMR is a free and open source electronic health records and medical practice management application. Versions prior to 7.0.4 have a vulnerability where sensitive data is unintentionally revealed to unauthorized parties. Contents of Clinical Notes and Care Plan, where an encounter has Sensitivity=high, can be viewed and changed by users who do not have Sensitivities=high privilege. Version 7.0.4 fixes the issue.

GeoServer's Server Status shows sensitive environmental variables and Java properties

GeoServer is an open source server that allows users to share and edit geospatial data. Starting in version 2.10.0 and prior to versions 2.24.4 and 2.25.1, GeoServer's Server Status page and REST API lists all environment variables and Java properties to any GeoServer user with administrative rights as part of those modules' status message. These variables/properties can also contain sensitive information, such as database passwords or API keys/tokens. Additionally, many community-developed GeoServer container images `export` other credentials from their start-up scripts as environment variables to the GeoServer (`java`) process. The precise scope of the issue depends on which container image is used and how it is configured. The `about status` API endpoint which powers the Server Status page is only available to administrators.Depending on the operating environment, administrators might have legitimate access to credentials in other ways, but this issue defeats more sophisticated controls (like break-glass access to secrets or role accounts).By default, GeoServer only allows same-origin authenticated API access. This limits the scope for a third-party attacker to use an administrator’s credentials to gain access to credentials. The researchers who found the vulnerability were unable to determine any other conditions under which the GeoServer REST API may be available more broadly. Users should update container images to use GeoServer 2.24.4 or 2.25.1 to get the bug fix. As a workaround, leave environment variables and Java system properties hidden by default. Those who provide the option to re-enable it should communicate the impact and risks so that users can make an informed choice.

Directus doesn't redact tokens in Flow logs

Directus is a real-time API and App dashboard for managing SQL database content. Starting in version 9.0.0 and prior to version 11.9.0, when using Directus Flows with the WebHook trigger all incoming request details are logged including security sensitive data like access and refresh tokens in cookies. Malicious admins with access to the logs can hijack the user sessions within the token expiration time of them triggering the Flow. Version 11.9.0 fixes the issue.
