A malicious or compromised server can make a DCMTK client using bit-preserving C-GET storage mode write files outside the chosen output directory, using both relative (../) paths and absolute paths.
Kiota is an OpenAPI based HTTP Client code generator. Prior to 1.32.5, Kiota emitted x-ms-kiota-info clientClassName and clientNamespaceName values without identifier or path sanitization as both generated client class or namespace names and generated output path components when `kiota generate` ran without -c/--class-name, allowing an attacker-controlled or compromised OpenAPI description to write generated source outside the -o output directory and inject arbitrary text into generated class or namespace declarations. This issue is fixed in version 1.32.5 by GenerationConfiguration.SanitizeClientClassName and SanitizeClientNamespaceName.
A Directory Traversal vulnerability in DashboardFileReceiveServlet in the Brocade Network Advisor versions released prior to and including 14.0.2 could allow remote attackers to upload a malicious file in a section of the file system where it can be executed.
FileRise before 3.16.0 is vulnerable to path traversal in the shared-folder upload endpoint (/api/folder/uploadToSharedFolder.php), leading to arbitrary file write and administrator account takeover. The upload filename is validated by FolderController with basename() and REGEX_FILE_NAME, which permit URL-encoded sequences (the regex blocks / and \ but not %). The raw filename is then passed to UploadModel::handleUpload, where it is reconstructed as trim(urldecode(basename($fileName))), re-introducing path separators after validation (e.g. ..%2fusers%2fusers.txt becomes ../users/users.txt). UploadNamePolicy::isAllowedForWrite() applies basename() internally and therefore only evaluates the final component (users.txt), allowing the traversal sequence to pass the extension policy. The destination path is then used directly in move_uploaded_file() with no realpath containment check, allowing a write outside the intended upload directory. An attacker who possesses a valid, non-expired, upload-enabled shared-folder link/token (which are designed to be shared publicly) can overwrite users/users.txt to create an administrator account, resulting in unauthenticated admin takeover and, depending on configuration, remote code execution. Exploitation requires possession of a valid, non-expired, upload-enabled shared-folder link/token. This issue is fixed in 3.16.0, which URL-decodes before validation and rejects any path separators in the upload filename.
Directory traversal vulnerability in the file upload functionality in ZOHO WebNMS Framework 5.2 and 5.2 SP1 allows remote attackers to upload and execute arbitrary JSP files via a .. (dot dot) in the fileName parameter to servlets/FileUploadServlet.
Langroid is a framework for building large-language-model-powered applications. Prior to version 0.65.1, the `SQLChatAgent` SQL-injection mitigation, with default `allow_dangerous_operations=False`, combines a raw-text regex blocklist (`_DANGEROUS_SQL_PATTERNS`) with a `sqlglot` SELECT-only statement allowlist. The blocklist entries that target callable functions require the function name to be immediately followed by `\s*\(`. PostgreSQL accepts the same call with the name separated from `(` by a quoted identifier, an inline comment, or schema qualification. These forms evade the regex, still parse as `SELECT`, and execute the same PostgreSQL function. This restores the `pg_read_file` server-side file-read primitive that the prior CVE-2026-25879 / GHSA-pmch-g965-grmr fix was meant to block: the parent advisory fixed a missing `pg_read_file` blocklist entry, while this report shows that the added regex is bypassable. Version 0.65.1 fixes the issue.
Cursor is a code editor built for programming with AI. Prior to 3.0, Cursor runs agent terminal commands in a sandbox by default, and the sandbox grants write access to the command's working directory. A flaw was identified in how the agent could modify the working_directory parameter, which could cause the sandbox to include writable paths outside the intended workspace. A malicious agent could set working_directory to a sensitive location and write arbitrary files outside the workspace under the user's privileges. This enables non-sandboxed Remote Code Execution — for example by overwriting the cursorsandbox helper so later commands run unsandboxed — with no user interaction beyond a benign prompt. This vulnerability is fixed in 3.0.
SunFounder Pironman Dashboard (pm_dashboard) version 1.3.13 and prior contain a path traversal vulnerability in the log file API endpoints. An unauthenticated remote attacker can supply traversal sequences via the filename parameter to read and delete arbitrary files. Successful exploitation can disclose sensitive information and delete critical system files, resulting in data loss and potential system compromise or denial of service.
HUSTOF is an open source online judge based on PHP/C++/MySQL/Linux for ACM/ICPC and NOIP training. Prior to version 26.01.24, the problem_import_qduoj.php and problem_import_hoj.php modules fail to properly sanitize filenames within uploaded ZIP archives. Attackers can craft a malicious ZIP file containing files with path traversal sequences (e.g., ../../shell.php). When extracted by the server, this allows writing files to arbitrary locations in the web root, leading to Remote Code Execution (RCE). Version 26.01.24 contains a fix for the issue.
path-sanitizer is a simple lightweight npm package for sanitizing paths to prevent Path Traversal. Prior to 3.1.0, the filters can be bypassed using .=%5c which results in a path traversal. This vulnerability is fixed in 3.1.0.

Directory Traversal was discovered in University of Cambridge mod_ucam_webauth before 2.0.2. The key identification field ("kid") of the IdP's HTTP response message ("WLS-Response") can be manipulated by an attacker. The "kid" field is not signed like the rest of the message, and manipulation is therefore trivial. The "kid" field should only ever represent an integer. However, it is possible to provide any string value. An attacker could use this to their advantage to force the application agent to load the RSA public key required for message integrity checking from an unintended location.
Multiple directory traversal vulnerabilities in (1) includes/MapImportCSV2.php and (2) includes/MapImportCSV.php in the Easy2Map plugin before 1.3.0 for WordPress allow remote attackers to include and execute arbitrary files via the csvfile parameter related to "upload file functionality."
Kieback & Peter's DDC4000 series is vulnerable to a path traversal vulnerability, which may allow an unauthenticated attacker to read files on the system.
This vulnerability allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code on affected installations of Marvell QConvergeConsole 5.5.0.64. Authentication is not required to exploit this vulnerability. The specific flaw exists within the decryptFile method of the FlashValidatorServiceImpl class. The issue results from the lack of proper validation of a user-supplied path prior to using it in file operations. An attacker can leverage this vulnerability to execute code in the context of SYSTEM. Was ZDI-CAN-10496.
Multiple directory traversal vulnerabilities in Samsung SyncThru 6 before 1.0 allow remote attackers to delete arbitrary files via unspecified parameters to (1) upload/updateDriver or (2) upload/addDriver or to execute arbitrary code with SYSTEM privileges via unspecified parameters to (3) uploadCloning.html, (4) fileupload.html, (5) uploadFirmware.html, or (6) upload/driver.
Directory traversal vulnerability in the doPost method of the Rtrlet class in Novell ZENworks Configuration Management (ZCM) allows remote attackers to upload and execute arbitrary files via unspecified vectors.
Bold Reports Standalone Report Designer before 14.1.12 contains a missing filepath validation vulnerability in its font processing feature that allows unauthenticated attackers to read arbitrary files from the server filesystem by supplying a crafted request. Attackers can exploit this path traversal weakness to disclose sensitive server files, including authentication credentials, enabling full unauthorized access to the application.
h2oGPT through 0.2.1 contains a path traversal vulnerability in the OpenAI-compatible files API that allows unauthenticated remote attackers to read, write, and delete arbitrary files accessible to the server process by supplying traversal sequences in the bearer token. The get_user_dir function in openai_server/backend_utils.py uses the bearer token string unsanitized as a path component via os.path.join, and because the default API key is EMPTY authentication is bypassed, enabling attackers to traverse outside the intended user directory through the file content, delete, and upload endpoints to achieve remote code execution by writing to startup hooks or application-loaded files.
Directory traversal vulnerability in pageflipbook.php script from index.php in Page Flip Book plugin for WordPress (wppageflip) allows remote attackers to include and execute arbitrary local files via a .. (dot dot) in the pageflipbook_language parameter.
Marvell QConvergeConsole saveAsText Directory Traversal Remote Code Execution Vulnerability. This vulnerability allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code on affected installations of Marvell QConvergeConsole. Authentication is not required to exploit this vulnerability. The specific flaw exists within the implementation of the saveAsText method. The issue results from the lack of proper validation of a user-supplied path prior to using it in file operations. An attacker can leverage this vulnerability to execute code in the context of SYSTEM. Was ZDI-CAN-24913.
SOUND4 IMPACT/FIRST/PULSE/Eco <=2.x contains an unauthenticated remote code execution vulnerability in the firmware upload functionality with path traversal flaw. Attackers can exploit the upload.cgi script to write malicious files to the system with www-data permissions, enabling unauthorized access and code execution.
A path traversal vulnerability exists in the parisneo/lollms application, specifically within the `sanitize_path_from_endpoint` and `sanitize_path` functions in `lollms_core\lollms\security.py`. This vulnerability allows for arbitrary file reading when the application is running on Windows. The issue arises due to insufficient sanitization of user-supplied input, enabling attackers to bypass the path traversal protection mechanisms by crafting malicious input. Successful exploitation could lead to unauthorized access to sensitive files, information disclosure, and potentially a denial of service (DoS) condition by including numerous large or resource-intensive files. This vulnerability affects the latest version prior to 9.6.
DbGate is cross-platform database manager. In versions 7.1.8 and prior, the `unzipDirectory()` function in `packages/api/src/shell/unzipDirectory.js` (line 27) does not validate that extracted file paths stay within the output directory. A malicious ZIP with `../` entries writes files anywhere on the filesystem. In the default Docker deployment, DbGate runs as root and the `none` auth provider issues JWT tokens without credentials via `POST /auth/login`, so this is exploitable by any network-adjacent attacker. Version 7.1.9 fixes the issue.
Path traversal vulnerability exists in RICOH Streamline NX V3 PC Client versions 3.5.0 to 3.242.0. If this vulnerability is exploited, arbitrary code may be executed on the PC where the product is running by tampering with specific files used on the product.
An issue was discovered in proxy.php in pydio-core in Pydio through 8.2.2. Through an unauthenticated request, it possible to evaluate malicious PHP code by placing it on the fourth line of a .php file, as demonstrated by a PoC.php created by the guest account, with execution via a proxy.php?hash=../../../../../var/lib/pydio/data/personal/guest/PoC.php request. This is related to plugins/action.share/src/Store/ShareStore.php.
qdrant/qdrant is vulnerable to a path traversal and arbitrary file upload vulnerability via the `/collections/{COLLECTION}/snapshots/upload` endpoint, specifically through the `snapshot` parameter. This vulnerability allows attackers to upload and overwrite any file on the filesystem, leading to potential remote code execution. This issue affects the integrity and availability of the system, enabling unauthorized access and potentially causing the server to malfunction.
The downloadZip function in application/controllers/admin/export.php in LimeSurvey through 3.16.1+190225 allows a relative path.
Cognita is a RAG (Retrieval Augmented Generation) Framework for building modular, open source applications for production by TrueFoundry. A path traversal issue exists at /v1/internal/upload-to-local-directory which is enabled when the Local env variable is set to true, such as when Cognita is setup using Docker. Because the docker environment sets up the backend uvicorn server with auto reload enabled, when an attacker overwrites the /app/backend/__init__.py file, the file will automatically be reloaded and executed. This allows an attacker to get remote code execution in the context of the Docker container. This vulnerability is fixed in commit a78bd065e05a1b30a53a3386cc02e08c317d2243.
The Microsoft .NET forms authentication capability for ASP.NET allows remote attackers to bypass authentication for .aspx files in restricted directories via a request containing a (1) "\" (backslash) or (2) "%5C" (encoded backslash), aka "Path Validation Vulnerability."
The WebApp v04.68 in the supervisor on SAET Impianti Speciali TEBE Small 05.01 build 1137 devices allows remote attackers to execute or include local .php files, as demonstrated by menu=php://filter/convert.base64-encode/resource=index.php to read index.php.
An issue was discovered in Thomson Reuters Desktop Extensions 1.9.0.358. An unauthenticated directory traversal and local file inclusion vulnerability in the ThomsonReuters.Desktop.Service.exe and ThomsonReuters.Desktop.exe allows a remote attacker to list or enumerate sensitive contents of files via a \.. to port 6677. Additionally, this could allow for privilege escalation by dumping the affected machine's SAM and SYSTEM database files, as well as remote code execution.
idreamsoft iCMS 7.0.13 allows admincp.php?app=files ../ Directory Traversal via the udir parameter to files.admincp.php, resulting in execution of arbitrary PHP code from a ZIP file via the admincp.php?app=apps zipfile parameter to apps.admincp.php.
A directory traversal vulnerability was discovered in Enphase Envoy R3.*.* via images/, include/, include/js, or include/css on TCP port 8888.
An Insecure Direct Object Reference (IDOR) vulnerability exists in Zoho ManageEngine ServiceDesk Plus (SDP) before 10.0 build 10007 via an attachment to a request.
Linear eMerge E3-Series devices allow Directory Traversal.
Adobe XD versions 16.0 and earlier have a path traversal vulnerability. Successful exploitation could lead to arbitrary code execution.
Adobe XD versions 16.0 and earlier have a path traversal vulnerability. Successful exploitation could lead to arbitrary code execution.
An issue was discovered in BlogEngine.NET through 3.3.6.0. A path traversal and Local File Inclusion vulnerability in PostList.ascx.cs can cause unauthenticated users to load a PostView.ascx component from a potentially untrusted location on the local filesystem. This is especially dangerous if an authenticated user uploads a PostView.ascx file using the file manager utility, which is currently allowed. This results in remote code execution for an authenticated user.
A remote code execution vulnerability was identified in HPE Intelligent Management Center (IMC) PLAT earlier than version 7.3 E0506P09.
The parisneo/lollms-webui repository is susceptible to a path traversal vulnerability due to inadequate validation of user-supplied file paths. This flaw allows an unauthenticated attacker to read, write, and in certain configurations execute arbitrary files on the server by exploiting various endpoints. The vulnerability can be exploited even when the service is bound to localhost, through cross-site requests facilitated by malicious HTML/JS pages.
WordPress Plugin ad manager wd 1.0.11 contains an arbitrary file download vulnerability that allows unauthenticated attackers to download sensitive files by manipulating the path parameter. Attackers can send GET requests to the edit.php endpoint with export=export_csv and a malicious path parameter to read arbitrary files like wp-config.php accessible to the web server.
FileThingie 2.5.7 contains an arbitrary file upload vulnerability that allows attackers to upload malicious files by sending ZIP archives through the ft2.php endpoint. Attackers can upload ZIP files containing PHP shells, use the unzip functionality to extract them into accessible directories, and execute arbitrary commands through the extracted PHP files.
Pegasus CMS 1.0 contains a remote code execution vulnerability in the extra_fields.php plugin that allows unauthenticated attackers to execute arbitrary commands by exploiting unsafe eval functionality. Attackers can send POST requests to the submit.php endpoint with malicious PHP code in the action parameter to achieve code execution and obtain an interactive shell.
parisneo/lollms-webui is vulnerable to path traversal attacks that can lead to remote code execution due to insufficient sanitization of user-supplied input in the 'Database path' and 'PDF LaTeX path' settings. An attacker can exploit this vulnerability by manipulating these settings to execute arbitrary code on the targeted server. The issue affects the latest version of the software. The vulnerability stems from the application's handling of the 'discussion_db_name' and 'pdf_latex_path' parameters, which do not properly validate file paths, allowing for directory traversal. This vulnerability can also lead to further file exposure and other attack vectors by manipulating the 'discussion_db_name' parameter.
