Prior to 0.12.0-alpha.1, the default SSRF protection configuration did not apply IP filtering to hostnames; with ApplyIPFilterForDomain disabled by default, URL validation checked domain allow/block rules but did not resolve a hostname and validate the resolved IP address, allowing authenticated users to configure Webhook, Bark, or Gotify notification URLs that point at an internal or metadata IP address. This issue is fixed in version 0.12.0-alpha.1.

Prior to version 0.9.6, a recently patched SSRF vulnerability contains a bypass method that can bypass the existing security fix and still allow SSRF to occur. Because the existing fix only applies security restrictions to the first URL request, a 302 redirect can bypass existing security measures and successfully access the intranet. This issue has been patched in version 0.9.6.

New API has Authenticated Server-Side Request Forgery (SSRF) issue

New API is a large language mode (LLM) gateway and artificial intelligence (AI) asset management system. An authenticated Server-Side Request Forgery (SSRF) vulnerability exists in versions prior to 0.9.0.5. A feature within the application allows authenticated users to submit a URL for the server to process its content. The application fails to properly validate this user-supplied URL before making a server-side request. This vulnerability is not limited to image URLs and can be triggered with any link provided to the vulnerable endpoint. Since user registration is often enabled by default, any registered user can exploit this. By crafting a malicious URL, an attacker can coerce the server to send requests to arbitrary internal or external services. The vulnerability has been patched in version 0.9.0.5. The patch introduces a comprehensive, user-configurable SSRF protection module, which is enabled by default to protect server security. This new feature provides administrators with granular control over outbound requests made by the server. For users who cannot upgrade immediately, some temporary mitigation options are available. Enable new-api image processing worker (new-api-worker) and/or configure egress firewall rules.

New API is a large language mode (LLM) gateway and artificial intelligence (AI) asset management system. In versions 0.11.9-alpha.1 and prior, the SSRF protection introduced in v0.9.0.5 (CVE-2025-59146) and hardened in v0.9.6 (CVE-2025-62155) does not block the unspecified address 0.0.0.0. A regular (non-admin) user holding any valid API token can send a multimodal request to /v1/chat/completions, /v1/responses, or /v1/messages with 0.0.0.0 as the image/file URL host, bypassing the private-IP filter and causing the server to issue HTTP requests to localhost. This constitutes at minimum a blind SSRF; when the request is routed through an AWS/Bedrock Claude adaptor, the fetched content is inlined into the model response, upgrading it to a full-read SSRF. At time of publication, there are no publicly available patches.

A flaw was found in the OpenShift Router. A user with EndpointSlice write access can exploit this vulnerability by creating a Service backed by an FQDN (Fully Qualified Domain Name) EndpointSlice that resolves to a cloud metadata endpoint. This allows the router to proxy requests to the cloud metadata endpoint, leading to the disclosure of instance credentials and other sensitive metadata. Directus is a real-time API and App dashboard for managing SQL database content. Prior to 12.0.0, the SSRF protection on Directus's file-import-from-URL feature can be bypassed using the address 0.0.0.0 because api/src/request/is-denied-ip.ts treats 0.0.0.0 as a keyword for local interfaces but never blocks the literal address itself. AliasVault Vulnerable to Server-Side Request Forgery via Favicon Extraction

AliasVault is a privacy-first password manager with built-in email aliasing. A server-side request forgery (SSRF) vulnerability exists in the favicon extraction feature of AliasVault API versions 0.23.0 and lower. The extractor fetches a user-supplied URL, parses the returned HTML, and follows <link rel="icon" href="…">. Although the initial URL is validated to allow only HTTP/HTTPS with default ports, the extractor automatically follows redirects and does not block requests to loopback or internal IP ranges. An authenticated, low-privileged user can exploit this behavior to coerce the backend into making HTTP(S) requests to arbitrary internal hosts and non-default ports. If the target host serves a favicon or any other valid image, the response is returned to the attacker in Base64 form. Even when no data is returned, timing and error behavior can be abused to map internal services. This vulnerability only affects self-hosted AliasVault instances that are reachable from the public internet with public user registration enabled. Private/internal deployments without public sign-ups are not directly exploitable. This issue has been fixed in AliasVault release 0.23.1.

SSRF in Sydent due to missing validation of hostnames

Sydent is a reference Matrix identity server. Sydent can be induced to send HTTP GET requests to internal systems, due to lack of parameter validation or IP address blacklisting. It is not possible to exfiltrate data or control request headers, but it might be possible to use the attack to perform an internal port enumeration. This issue has been addressed in in 9e57334, 8936925, 3d531ed, 0f00412. A potential workaround would be to use a firewall to ensure that Sydent cannot reach internal HTTP resources.

MinIO is a High Performance Object Storage released under Apache License v2.0. In MinIO before version RELEASE.2021-01-30T00-20-58Z there is a server-side request forgery vulnerability. The target application may have functionality for importing data from a URL, publishing data to a URL, or otherwise reading data from a URL that can be tampered with. The attacker modifies the calls to this functionality by supplying a completely different URL or by manipulating how URLs are built (path traversal etc.). In a Server-Side Request Forgery (SSRF) attack, the attacker can abuse functionality on the server to read or update internal resources. The attacker can supply or modify a URL which the code running on the server will read or submit data, and by carefully selecting the URLs, the attacker may be able to read server configuration such as AWS metadata, connect to internal services like HTTP enabled databases, or perform post requests towards internal services which are not intended to be exposed. This is fixed in version RELEASE.2021-01-30T00-20-58Z, all users are advised to upgrade. As a workaround you can disable the browser front-end with "MINIO_BROWSER=off" environment variable.

Open WebUI: Path traversal / SSRF in terminal server proxy via encoded path traversal

Open WebUI is a self-hosted artificial intelligence platform designed to operate entirely offline. Prior to 0.9.6, the terminal-server reverse proxy in `backend/open_webui/routers/terminals.py` does not fully confine the user-controlled `path` segment before forwarding it to an admin-configured terminal server. An authenticated user who has been granted access to a terminal server can craft `path` values containing encoded `../` traversal sequences that escape the intended path (or policy) scope on that server, reaching unintended endpoints and files on the terminal-server host. Where the terminal server fans requests out to internal services, this also gives SSRF-style reach into those services. This is a separate code path from the `/api/v1/retrieval/process/web` SSRF (GHSA-c6xv-rcvw-v685), with its own input. Two distinct vectors are consolidated here: first, raw path forwarding / single-encoded traversal (original report); and second, a bypass of the subsequently-added `_sanitize_proxy_path` mitigation using double-encoded dots (`%252e%252e`). The attacker-controlled input is the request `path`, supplied by the non-admin user, not anything an administrator configures, so this is not an admin-trust / Rule-9 situation. Version 0.9.6 fixes the issue.

Prior to 0.9.6, the SafePlaywrightURLLoader implements a validate_url function to prevent SSRF attacks by checking the IP address of the user-provided URL. However, this validation is performed only on the initial URL. Since Playwright automatically follows HTTP redirects (301/302) by default, an attacker can bypass the validation by providing a safe URL that redirects to a restricted internal network address (e.g., localhost, Docker container network, or Cloud Metadata). This allows the application to access internal services despite ENABLE_RAG_LOCAL_WEB_FETCH being set to False This vulnerability is fixed in 0.9.6.

Koel Vulnerable to SSRF via Podcast Episode Enclosure URLs

Koel is a free, open-source music streaming solution. Prior to version 9.3.5, Koel validates the podcast feed URL via the SafeUrl rule (DNS resolution + public IP check), but the individual episode <enclosure url="..."> values extracted from the RSS XML are stored directly into the database without any SSRF validation. When a user plays an episode, the server downloads the full HTTP response from the unvalidated enclosure URL via Http::sink()->get() and streams it back to the user, enabling full-read SSRF against internal services. This issue has been patched in version 9.3.5.

Budibase: SSRF via OAuth2 Config Validation — Missing fetchWithBlacklist Protection

Budibase is an open-source low-code platform. Prior to 3.39.0, the OAuth2 token fetch function in packages/server/src/sdk/workspace/oauth2/utils.ts uses raw fetch(config.url) with no SSRF protection. The safe wrapper fetchWithBlacklist() exists in the same codebase and is used in every other outbound HTTP call (automation steps, plugin downloads, object store), but was not applied to the OAuth2 token endpoint. A user with BUILDER role can point the OAuth2 token URL to internal services (CouchDB, cloud metadata) to exfiltrate sensitive data. This vulnerability is fixed in 3.39.0.

Prior to 4.15.0-beta1, a Server-Side Request Forgery (SSRF) vulnerability allows an authenticated attacker to bypass the global isInternalAddress network protection and make arbitrary HTTP GET requests to internal network services. XStream is a Java library to serialize objects to XML and back again. In XStream before version 1.4.15, a Server-Side Forgery Request vulnerability can be activated when unmarshalling. The vulnerability may allow a remote attacker to request data from internal resources that are not publicly available only by manipulating the processed input stream. If you rely on XStream's default blacklist of the Security Framework, you will have to use at least version 1.4.15. The reported vulnerability does not exist if running Java 15 or higher. No user is affected who followed the recommendation to setup XStream's Security Framework with a whitelist! Anyone relying on XStream's default blacklist can immediately switch to a whilelist for the allowed types to avoid the vulnerability. Users of XStream 1.4.14 or below who still want to use XStream default blacklist can use a workaround described in more detailed in the referenced advisories.

FastGPT: Cloud metadata endpoint SSRF protection bypass via port specification, IPv6 mapping, hex/decimal IP encoding, and trailing dot

FastGPT is an AI Agent building platform. In versions 4.14.11 and prior, FastGPT's isInternalAddress() function in packages/service/common/system/utils.ts blocks cloud metadata endpoints using a fullUrl.startsWith() check against a hardcoded list. This check can be bypassed using at least 7 different URL encoding techniques, all of which resolve to the same cloud metadata service but do not match the blocklist patterns. Additionally, the broader private IP check (isInternalIPv4/isInternalIPv6) is disabled by default because CHECK_INTERNAL_IP defaults to false (not 'true'), so these bypasses reach the metadata endpoint without any further validation. At time of publication, there are no publicly available patches.

Prior to versions 1.28.6 and 1.29.2, when a RequestAuthentication resource is created with a jwksUri pointing to an internal service, istiod makes an unauthenticated HTTP GET request to that URL without filtering out localhost or link local ips. FreeScout vulnerable to SSRF via Helper::sanitizeRemoteUrl: redirect destination not re-validated, allowing internal HTTP / cloud-metadata access

FreeScout is a free help desk and shared inbox built with PHP's Laravel framework. Prior to version 1.8.217, Helper::sanitizeRemoteUrl() in app/Misc/Helper.php follows HTTP redirects via curlGetLastRedirectedUrl() but then re-validates the original URL instead of the final redirect destination. An attacker who can supply any URL that passes the initial host check can redirect FreeScout to internal HTTP services (cloud metadata, internal APIs, RFC1918 ranges) that would normally be blocked. This issue has been patched in version 1.8.217.

PraisonAIAgents is a multi-agent teams system. Prior to 1.5.128, the web_crawl() function in praisonaiagents/tools/web_crawl_tools.py accepts arbitrary URLs from AI agents with zero validation. TypeBot: SSRF via Open Redirect Bypass in HTTP Request and Code Blocks

TypeBot is a chatbot builder tool. Versions 3.15.2 and prior contain an SSRF via Open Redirect Bypass as the HTTP Request block and Code block validate the initial request URL via validateHttpReqUrl() to block private IPs and cloud metadata hostnames. However, the HTTP clients (ky and fetch) follow 302 redirects without re-validating the redirect destination. An authenticated user can point a bot block to an attacker-controlled server that responds with a redirect to an internal IP, causing the Typebot server to reach internal services. An authenticated Typebot user can reach AWS metadata (169.254.169.254), private subnets, and container-internal services. Exploitable to extract cloud IAM credentials or probe internal APIs inaccessible from the internet. This issue has been fixed in version 3.16.0.

Movary has Authenticated SSRF via Jellyfin Server URL Verification that Allows Internal Network Probing

Movary is a self hosted web app to track and rate a user's watched movies. Prior to version 0.71.1, an ordinary authenticated user can trigger server-side requests to arbitrary internal targets through `POST /settings/jellyfin/server-url-verify`. The endpoint accepts a user-controlled URL, appends `/system/info/public`, and sends a server-side HTTP request with Guzzle. Because there is no restriction on internal hosts, loopback addresses, or private network ranges, this can be abused for SSRF and internal network probing. Any ordinary authenticated user can use this endpoint to make the server connect to arbitrary internal targets and distinguish between different network states. This enables SSRF-based internal reconnaissance, including host discovery, port-state probing, and service fingerprinting. In certain deployments, it may also be usable to reach internal administrative services or cloud metadata endpoints that are not directly accessible from the outside. Version 0.71.1 fixes the issue.

OpenObserve is a cloud-native observability platform. In 0.70.3 and earlier, the validate_enrichment_url function in src/handler/http/request/enrichment_table/mod.rs fails to block IPv6 addresses because Rust's url crate returns them with surrounding brackets (e.g. "[::1]" not "::1"). An authenticated attacker can reach internal services blocked from external access. On cloud deployments this enables retrieval of IAM credentials via AWS IMDSv1 (169.254.169.254), GCP metadata, or Azure IMDS. On self-hosted deployments it allows probing internal network services.

Wallos is an open-source, self-hostable personal subscription tracker. Prior to version 4.7.0, the SSRF fix applied in version 4.6.2 for CVE-2026-30839 and CVE-2026-30840 is incomplete. The validate_webhook_url_for_ssrf() protection was added to the test* notification endpoints but not to the corresponding save* endpoints. An authenticated user can save an internal/private IP address as a notification URL, and when the cron job sendnotifications.php executes, the request is sent to the internal IP without any SSRF validation. This issue has been patched in version 4.7.0.
