SiYuan is a personal knowledge management system. Prior to version 3.6.2, the /api/file/readDir interface was used to traverse and retrieve the file names of all documents under a notebook. Version 3.6.2 patches the issue.
A path traversal vulnerability was identified in Ray Dashboard (default port 8265) in Ray versions prior to 2.8.1. Due to improper validation and sanitization of user-supplied paths in the static file handling mechanism, an attacker can use traversal sequences (e.g., ../) to access files outside the intended static directory, resulting in local file disclosure.
OpenClaw versions prior to 2026.2.19 contain a path traversal vulnerability in the stageSandboxMedia function that accepts arbitrary absolute paths when iMessage remote attachment fetching is enabled. An attacker who can tamper with attachment path metadata can disclose files readable by the OpenClaw process on the configured remote host via SCP.
The WooCommerce plugin through 3.x for WordPress has a Directory Traversal Vulnerability via a /wp-content/plugins/woocommerce/templates/emails/plain/ URI, which accesses a parent directory. NOTE: a software maintainer indicates that Directory Traversal is not possible because all of the template files have "if (!defined('ABSPATH')) {exit;}" code
All versions of the package serve-lite are vulnerable to Directory Traversal due to missing input sanitization or other checks and protections employed to the req.url passed as-is to path.join().
There is an arbitrary file read vulnerability in the test connection function of backend database management in wgcloud v3.6.3 and before, which can be used to read any file on the victim's server.

Windmill is an open-source developer platform for internal code: APIs, background jobs, workflows and UIs. Prior to version 1.603.3, an unauthenticated path traversal vulnerability exists in Windmill's get_log_file endpoint "(/api/w/{workspace}/jobs_u/get_log_file/{filename})". The filename parameter is concatenated into a file path without sanitization, allowing an attacker to read arbitrary files on the server using ../ sequences. This issue has been patched in version 1.603.3.
liquidjs is a Shopify / GitHub Pages compatible template engine in pure JavaScript. Prior to 10.25.0, the layout, render, and include tags allow arbitrary file access via absolute paths (either as string literals or through Liquid variables, the latter require dynamicPartials: true, which is the default). This poses a security risk when malicious users are allowed to control the template content or specify the filepath to be included as a Liquid variable. This vulnerability is fixed in 10.25.0.
A path traversal vulnerability exists in the awesome-llm-apps project in commit e46690f99c3f08be80a9877fab52acacf7ab8251 (2026-01-19) in the Beifong AI News and Podcast Agent backend in FastAPI backend, stream-audio endpoint, in file routers/podcast_router.py, in function stream_audio. The stream-audio endpoint accepts a user-controlled path parameter that is concatenated into a filesystem path without proper validation or restriction. An unauthenticated remote attacker can exploit this vulnerability to read arbitrary files from the server filesystem, potentially disclosing sensitive information such as configuration files and credentials.
A path traversal vulnerability in the UI/static component of leonvanzyl autocoder commit 79d02a allows attackers to read arbitrary files via sending crafted URL path containing traversal sequences.
OpenClaw versions prior to 2026.2.13 contain a vulnerability in the browser control API in which it accepts user-supplied output paths for trace and download files without consistently constraining writes to temporary directories. Attackers with API access can exploit path traversal in POST /trace/stop, POST /wait/download, and POST /download endpoints to write files outside intended temp roots.
OpenClaw versions prior to 2026.2.14 fail to validate TAR archive entry paths during extraction, allowing path traversal sequences to write files outside the intended directory. Attackers can craft malicious archives with traversal sequences like ../../ to write files outside extraction boundaries, potentially enabling configuration tampering and code execution.
Gradio is an open-source Python package designed for quick prototyping. Prior to version 6.7, Gradio apps running on Window with Python 3.13+ are vulnerable to an absolute path traversal issue that enables unauthenticated attackers to read arbitrary files from the file system. Python 3.13+ changed the definition of `os.path.isabs` so that root-relative paths like `/windows/win.ini` on Windows are no longer considered absolute paths, resulting in a vulnerability in Gradio's logic for joining paths safely. This can be exploited by unauthenticated attackers to read arbitrary files from the Gradio server, even when Gradio is set up with authentication. Version 6.7 fixes the issue.
The Dart and Flutter SDKs provide software development kits for the Dart programming language. In versions of the Dart SDK prior to 3.11.0 and the Flutter SDK prior to version 3.41.0, when the pub client (`dart pub` and `flutter pub`) extracts a package in the pub cache, a malicious package archive can have files extracted outside the destination directory in the `PUB_CACHE`. A fix has been landed in commit 26c6985c742593d081f8b58450f463a584a4203a. By normalizing the file path before writing file, the attacker can no longer traverse up via a symlink. This patch is released in Dart 3.11.0 and Flutter 3.41.0.vAll packages on pub.dev have been vetted for this vulnerability. New packages are no longer allowed to contain symlinks. The pub client itself doesn't upload symlinks, but duplicates the linked entry, and has been doing this for years. Those whose dependencies are all from pub.dev, third-party repositories trusted to not contain malicious code, or git dependencies are not affected by this vulnerability.
Directory traversal vulnerability in public/examples/resources/getsource.php in Luracast Restler through 3.0.0, as used in the restler extension before 1.7.1 for TYPO3, allows remote attackers to read arbitrary files via the file parameter.
OpenDeck is Linux software for your Elgato Stream Deck. Prior to 2.8.1, the service listening on port 57118 serves static files for installed plugins but does not properly sanitize path components. By including ../ sequences in the request path, an attacker can traverse outside the intended directory and read any file OpenDeck can access. This vulnerability is fixed in 2.8.1.
Home-Gallery.org is a self-hosted open-source web gallery to browse personal photos and videos. Prior to version 1.21.0, when a user requests a download, the application does not verify whether the requested file is located within the media source directory, which can result in sensitive system files being downloadable as well. This issue has been patched in version 1.21.0.
Talishar is a fan-made Flesh and Blood project. Prior to commit 6be3871, a Path Traversal vulnerability was identified in the gameName parameter. While the application's primary entry points implement input validation, the ParseGamestate.php component can be accessed directly as a standalone script. In this scenario, the absence of internal sanitization allows for directory traversal sequences (e.g., ../) to be processed, potentially leading to unauthorized file access. This issue has been patched in commit 6be3871.
Penpot is an open-source design tool for design and code collaboration. Prior to version 2.13.2, an authenticated user can read arbitrary files from the server by supplying a local file path (e.g. `/etc/passwd`) as a font data chunk in the `create-font-variant` RPC endpoint, resulting in the file contents being stored and retrievable as a "font" asset. This is an arbitrary file read vulnerability. Any authenticated user with team edit permissions can read arbitrary files accessible to the Penpot backend process on the host filesystem. This can lead to exposure of sensitive system files, application secrets, database credentials, and private keys, potentially enabling further compromise of the server. In containerized deployments, the blast radius may be limited to the container filesystem, but environment variables, mounted secrets, and application configuration are still at risk. Version 2.13.2 contains a patch for the issue.

Misskey is an open source, federated social media platform. Starting in version 12.31.0 and prior to version 2025.4.1, missing validation in `Mk:api` allows malicious AiScript code to access additional endpoints that it isn't designed to have access to. The missing validation allows malicious AiScript code to prefix a URL with `../` to step out of the `/api` directory, thereby being able to make requests to other endpoints, such as `/files`, `/url`, and `/proxy`. Version 2025.4.1 fixes the issue.
SiYuan is a personal knowledge management system. Prior to 3.5.5, the /api/file/getFile endpoint uses case-sensitive string equality checks to block access to sensitive files. On case-insensitive file systems such as Windows, attackers can bypass restrictions using mixed-case paths and read protected configuration files. This vulnerability is fixed in 3.5.5.
OpenClaw is a personal AI assistant. Prior to OpenClaw version 2026.2.14, the Feishu extension previously allowed `sendMediaFeishu` to treat attacker-controlled `mediaUrl` values as local filesystem paths and read them directly. If an attacker can influence tool calls (directly or via prompt injection), they may be able to exfiltrate local files by supplying paths such as `/etc/passwd` as `mediaUrl`. Upgrade to OpenClaw `2026.2.14` or newer to receive a fix. The fix removes direct local file reads from this path and routes media loading through hardened helpers that enforce local-root restrictions.
An issue found in the Copy and View functions in the File Manager component of OpenPanel v0.3.4 allows attackers to execute a directory traversal via a crafted HTTP request.
MiniGal Nano versions 0.3.5 and prior contain a path traversal vulnerability in index.php via the dir parameter. The application appends user-controlled input to the photos directory and attempts to prevent traversal by removing dot-dot sequences, but this protection can be bypassed using crafted directory patterns. An attacker can exploit this behavior to cause the application to enumerate and display image files from unintended filesystem locations that are readable by the web server, resulting in unintended information disclosure.
JUNG Smart Panel KNX firmware version L1.12.22 and prior contain an unauthenticated path traversal vulnerability in the embedded web interface. The application fails to properly validate file path input, allowing remote, unauthenticated attackers to access arbitrary files on the underlying filesystem within the context of the web server. This may result in disclosure of system configuration files and other sensitive information.
