Fiber is an Express inspired web framework built in the go language. Versions of gofiber prior to 2.49.2 did not properly restrict access to localhost. This issue impacts users of our project who rely on the `ctx.IsFromLocal` method to restrict access to localhost requests. If exploited, it could allow unauthorized access to resources intended only for localhost. Setting `X-Forwarded-For: 127.0.0.1` in a request from a foreign host, will result in true for `ctx.IsFromLocal`. Access is limited to the scope of the affected process. This issue has been patched in version `2.49.2` with commit `b8c9ede6`. Users are advised to upgrade. There are no known workarounds to remediate this vulnerability without upgrading to the patched version.
A vulnerability, which was classified as problematic, was found in viafintech Barzahlen Payment Module PHP SDK up to 2.0.0. Affected is the function verify of the file src/Webhook.php. The manipulation leads to observable timing discrepancy. The complexity of an attack is rather high. The exploitability is told to be difficult. Upgrading to version 2.0.1 is able to address this issue. The patch is identified as 3e7d29dc0ca6c054a6d6e211f32dae89078594c1. It is recommended to upgrade the affected component. VDB-217650 is the identifier assigned to this vulnerability.
The Page Restriction WordPress (WP) – Protect WP Pages/Post plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Sensitive Information Exposure in all versions up to, and including, 1.3.6 via the WordPress core search feature. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to extract sensitive data from posts that have been restricted to higher-level roles such as administrator.
TREK is a collaborative travel planner. Prior to 3.0.18, early return on missing user during login flow allowed an attacker to enumerate valid user accounts via response timing discrepancy. When an email address existed in the database, the backend performed a bcrypt password comparison before returning a 401 Unauthorized, adding ~370 ms of latency. When the email did not exist, the backend returned immediately (~10 ms). This ~14× timing difference could be detected without any difference in HTTP status codes or response bodies. This vulnerability is fixed in 3.0.18.
OpenSSH through 8.7 allows remote attackers, who have a suspicion that a certain combination of username and public key is known to an SSH server, to test whether this suspicion is correct. This occurs because a challenge is sent only when that combination could be valid for a login session. NOTE: the vendor does not recognize user enumeration as a vulnerability for this product
An issue was discovered in MediaWiki before 1.35.1. Missing users (accounts that don't exist) and hidden users (accounts that have been explicitly hidden due to being abusive, or similar) that the viewer cannot see are handled differently, exposing sensitive information about the hidden status to unprivileged viewers. This exists on various code paths.
Meow hash 0.5/calico does not sufficiently thwart key recovery by an attacker who can query whether there's a collision in the bottom bits of the hashes of two messages, as demonstrated by an attack against a long-running web service that allows the attacker to infer collisions by measuring timing differences.
CyberArk Identity 21.5.131, when handling an invalid authentication attempt, sometimes reveals whether the username is valid. In certain authentication policy configurations with MFA, the API response length can be used to differentiate between a valid user and an invalid one (aka Username Enumeration). Response differentiation enables attackers to enumerate usernames of valid application users. Attackers can use this information to leverage brute-force and dictionary attacks in order to discover valid account information such as passwords.
Using iterative requests an attacker was able to learn the size of an opaque response, as well as the contents of a server-supplied Vary header. This vulnerability affects Firefox < 119.
GLPI 9.5.7 contains a username enumeration vulnerability in the lost password recovery mechanism that allows attackers to validate email addresses. Attackers can systematically test email addresses by submitting requests to the password reset endpoint and analyzing response differences to identify valid user accounts.
UrBackup Server 2.5.31 allows brute-force enumeration of user accounts because a failure message confirms that a username is not valid.
Under certain circumstances a CCURE Portal user could enumerate user accounts in CCURE 9000 version 2.90 and prior versions.
Piccolo is an ORM and query builder which supports asyncio. In versions 0.120.0 and prior, the implementation of `BaseUser.login` leaks enough information to a malicious user such that they would be able to successfully generate a list of valid users on the platform. As Piccolo on its own does not also enforce strong passwords, these lists of valid accounts are likely to be used in a password spray attack with the outcome being attempted takeover of user accounts on the platform. The impact of this vulnerability is minor as it requires chaining with other attack vectors in order to gain more then simply a list of valid users on the underlying platform. The likelihood of this vulnerability is possible as it requires minimal skills to pull off, especially given the underlying login functionality for Piccolo based sites is open source. This issue has been patched in version 0.121.0.
Loway - CWE-204: Observable Response Discrepancy
Zitadel is an open source identity management system. ZITADEL administrators can enable a setting called "Ignoring unknown usernames" which helps mitigate attacks that try to guess/enumerate usernames. If enabled, ZITADEL will show the password prompt even if the user doesn't exist and report "Username or Password invalid". Due to a implementation change to prevent deadlocks calling the database, the flag would not be correctly respected in all cases and an attacker would gain information if an account exist within ZITADEL, since the error message shows "object not found" instead of the generic error message. This vulnerability is fixed in 2.58.1, 2.57.1, 2.56.2, 2.55.5, 2.54.8, and 2.53.9.
goauthentik is an open-source Identity Provider. In affected versions using a recovery flow with an identification stage an attacker is able to determine if a username exists. Only setups configured with a recovery flow are impacted by this. Anyone with a user account on a system with the recovery flow described above is susceptible to having their username/email revealed as existing. An attacker can easily enumerate and check users' existence using the recovery flow, as a clear message is shown when a user doesn't exist. Depending on configuration this can either be done by username, email, or both. This issue has been addressed in versions 2023.5.6 and 2023.6.2. Users are advised to upgrade. There are no known workarounds for this issue.
IBM CICS TX Advanced 10.1 could disclose sensitive information to a remote attacker due to observable discrepancy in HTTP responses. IBM X-Force ID: 260814.

In the Twilio Authy API, accessed by Authy Android before 25.1.0 and Authy iOS before 26.1.0, an unauthenticated endpoint provided access to certain phone-number data, as exploited in the wild in June 2024. Specifically, the endpoint accepted a stream of requests containing phone numbers, and responded with information about whether each phone number was registered with Authy. (Authy accounts were not compromised, however.)
Observable behavioral discrepancy vulnerability in QSAN Storage Manager allows remote attackers to obtain the system information without permissions. Suggest contacting with QSAN and refer to recommendations in QSAN Document.
In Splunk Enterprise versions below 9.2.2, 9.1.5, and 9.0.10 and Splunk Cloud Platform versions below 9.1.2312.109, an attacker could determine whether or not another user exists on the instance by deciphering the error response that they would likely receive from the instance when they attempt to log in. This disclosure could then lead to additional brute-force password-guessing attacks. This vulnerability would require that the Splunk platform instance uses the Security Assertion Markup Language (SAML) authentication scheme.
ownCloud Guests before 0.12.5 allows unauthenticated user enumeration via the /apps/guests/register/{email}/{token} endpoint. Because of insufficient validation of the supplied token in showPasswordForm, the server responds differently when an e-mail address corresponds to a valid pending guest user rather than a non-existent user.
IBM Security Identity Manager 7.0.2 could allow a remote user to enumerate usernames due to a difference of responses from valid and invalid login attempts. IBM X-Force ID: 200018
An issue was discovered in Symfony 4.2.0 to 4.2.11 and 4.3.0 to 4.3.7. The ability to enumerate users was possible due to different handling depending on whether the user existed when making unauthorized attempts to use the switch users functionality. This is related to symfony/security.
Flask-AppBuilder is a development framework, built on top of Flask. User enumeration in database authentication in Flask-AppBuilder <= 3.2.3. The open-source identity infrastructure software Zitadel allows administrators to disable the user self-registration. Versions 4.0.0 to 4.0.2, 3.0.0 to 3.3.6, and all versions prior to 2.71.15 are vulnerable to a username enumeration issue in the login interface. The login UI includes a security feature, Ignoring unknown usernames, that is intended to prevent username enumeration by returning a generic response for both valid and invalid usernames. This vulnerability allows an unauthenticated attacker to bypass this protection by submitting arbitrary userIDs to the select account page and distinguishing between valid and invalid accounts based on the system's response. For effective exploitation, an attacker needs to iterate through possible userIDs, but the impact can be limited by implementing rate limiting or similar measures. The issue has been patched in versions 4.0.3, 3.4.0, and 2.71.15.
Proxmox VE prior to 3.2: 'AccessControl.pm' User Enumeration Vulnerability

The Reset Password feature in Pagekit 1.0.17 gives a different response depending on whether the e-mail address of a valid user account is entered, which might make it easier for attackers to enumerate accounts.
SonicOS SSLVPN login page allows a remote unauthenticated attacker to perform firewall management administrator username enumeration based on the server responses. This vulnerability affected SonicOS Gen 5 version 5.9.1.7, 5.9.1.13, Gen 6 version 6.5.4.7, 6.5.1.12, 6.0.5.3, SonicOSv 6.5.4.v and Gen 7 version SonicOS 7.0.0.0.
SPIP before 3.1.11 and 3.2 before 3.2.5 provides different error messages from the password-reminder page depending on whether an e-mail address exists, which might help attackers to enumerate subscribers.
In Logpoint before 7.4.0, an attacker can enumerate a valid list of usernames by using publicly exposed URLs of shared widgets.
Symfony is a PHP framework for web and console applications and a set of reusable PHP components. The ability to enumerate users was possible without relevant permissions due to different handling depending on whether the user existed or not when attempting to use the switch users functionality. We now ensure that 403s are returned whether the user exists or not if a user cannot switch to a user or if the user does not exist. The patch for this issue is available for branch 3.4.
Capgo before 12.128.2 contains an information disclosure vulnerability in the public.invite_user_to_org RPC function that allows unauthenticated attackers to enumerate organization existence by observing distinct error responses. Attackers can call the SECURITY DEFINER function with a publishable API key to determine if an organization ID exists based on NO_ORG versus NO_RIGHTS responses, enabling tenant enumeration attacks.
In CentOS-WebPanel.com (aka CWP) CentOS Web Panel 0.9.8.848, the Login process allows attackers to check whether a username is valid by comparing response times.
When binding against a DN during authentication, the reply from 389-ds-base will be different whether the DN exists or not. This can be used by an unauthenticated attacker to check the existence of an entry in the LDAP database.
A vulnerability in the TLS handler of Cisco Adaptive Security Appliance (ASA) Software and Cisco Firepower Threat Defense (FTD) Software for Cisco Firepower 1000 Series firewalls could allow an unauthenticated, remote attacker to gain access to sensitive information. The vulnerability is due to improper implementation of countermeasures against the Bleichenbacher attack for cipher suites that rely on RSA for key exchange. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability by sending crafted TLS messages to the device, which would act as an oracle and allow the attacker to carry out a chosen-ciphertext attack. A successful exploit could allow the attacker to perform cryptanalytic operations that may allow decryption of previously captured TLS sessions to the affected device. To exploit this vulnerability, an attacker must be able to perform both of the following actions: Capture TLS traffic that is in transit between clients and the affected device Actively establish a considerable number of TLS connections to the affected device
IBM Cognos Controller 10.4.1, 10.4.2, and 11.0.0 could allow a remote user to enumerate usernames due to differentiating error messages on existing usernames. IBM X-Force ID: 199181.
